First, the California state Assembly rammed through several bills which would enact even more restrictive laws/regulations on gun rights, criminalizing the mere possession of unserialized firearm parts, banning the purchase of more than one firearm in a month, allowing your boss, teacher, or therapist to secretly take away your RIGHT to self-defense, banning guns with a bullet button, and allowing the state to send harassing mail to legal gun owners!
Yes, you’d only be allowed to buy one gun a month because the ninnies in Sacramento think that that is enough. Yes, your boss, teacher or therapist could go behind your back and tell the government to take your guns and that would be enough for the government to do it. No if’s and’s or but’s from you. All of the measures are completely unconstitutional and un-American, and their penalties are absolutely Draconian.
These idiotic new laws would be enough to paint the California Assembly as the most fascist legislature of the week, but they didn’t stop there. No, they decided that undermining the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights wasn’t enough. They also chose to launch an all-out assault on the 1st Amendment guarantee of freedom of speech as well.
The first-of-its-kind legislation — Senate Bill 1161, or the California Climate Science Truth and Accountability Act of 2016 — is scheduled for floor action Thursday after clearing Senate committees in April and May.
The measure would allow state and local prosecutors to pursue claims against climate-change skepticism as a violation of the state’s Unfair Competition Law [UCL], as well as extend the four-year statute of limitations for such claims retroactively to Jan. 1, 2021.
“This bill explicitly authorizes district attorneys and the Attorney General to pursue UCL claims alleging that a business or organization has directly or indirectly engaged in unfair competition with respect to scientific evidence regarding the existence, extent, or current or future impacts of anthropogenic induced climate change,” says the state Senate Rules Committee’s floor analysis.
Yes, you read that right. California is planning to make it illegal for you, your business, or anyone else, to disagree with the liberal opinion on man-made climate change/global warming. ILLEGAL. Over at the California Political Review, Stephen Frank puts this into perspective and explains what this bill really is.“Did you donate to the Pacific Legal Foundation? Do you support Americans for Prosperity? Are you a member of the California Republican Party, which has a platform approving of all forms of energy, including fossil fuel (oil)? Do you work for a gas station, an oil company, have your written a letter to the editor in favor of oil drilling? If so, you could find yourself with being charged in a court of law, thanks to SB 1161… a totalitarian statement by Democrats that the First Amendment is now dead.”
If you actually believe that the progressive left in America today is the same Democrat left that existed 50 years ago, you are simply fooling yourself. The generation that fought for civil liberties and less government interference in their lives have apparently either died off or gone completely senile in their drunken quest for power. The hippies who used to advocate for more “freedom” are now the very same people clawing and scraping to unburden you from your liberty. Today’s Democrat Party has more in common with the totalitarian excesses of the Soviet Union, or Mao’s China. For more on this travesty of justice go read Jeff Dunetz at the Lid…

Mexican flag-waving anti-Trump protesters outside the Trump rally in Costa Mesa, CA on 28 April. (Image: Screen grab of video from Patriotic Populist via YouTube)
Today a man from Trump’s rally last week in Fountain Hills, Arizona has come forward to say that he was paid to protest the event. “I was given $3,500 to protest Donald Trump’s rally in Fountain Hills,” said 37-year-old Paul Horner. “I answered a Craigslist ad a little over a week ago about a group needing actors for a political event. I interviewed with them and got the part.”
Trump supporters have been claiming for weeks that the protesters are being paid for by Bernie Sanders ’ campaign, but Horner disagrees.
“As for who these people were affiliated with that interviewed me, my guess would be Hillary Clinton’s campaign,” Horner said. “The actual check I received after I was done with the job was from a group called ‘Women Are The Future’. After I was hired, they told me if anyone asked any questions about who I was with or communicated with me in any way, I should start talking about how great Bernie Sanders is.”
Here’s the ad that ran on Craigslist:
All of this, meantime, sounds like vintage Hillary to me: Attack Donald Trump, then frame Bernie Sanders.
Horner also shared an observation that is sure to crack up all the millennials in the room:
“It was mostly women in their 60’s at the interview that I went to. Plus, all the people that I communicated with had an AOL email address. No one still has an AOL email address except people that would vote for Hillary Clinton.”
This report is confirmation that desperate Democrats are manufacturing outrage and planting protesters in an attempt to instigate violence at Donald Trump rallies.

Curiel was appointed to the federal bench in 2012 by President Barack Obama, the same president who elevated Sonia “the wise Latina” Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. U.S. District Court Judge Curiel is also a noted member of a Hispanic advocacy group called “La Raza Lawyers of San Diego” — an activist organization that recently awarded a law school scholarship to an illegal alien, according to the Daily Caller.
Of course, federal judges have to be appointed by the president, and it’s not Curiel’s fault that president happens to be Barack Obama (about 69 million misguided Americans who voted for Obama the first time can be blamed for that). And as an American citizen born in Indiana, the California jurist has a right to be a member of any group he damn well pleases.
And there appears to be little doubt about where Curiel stands on illegal immigration — he seems to have no problem with it. He was on the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego’s selection committee that chose to award an illegal immigrant with a scholarship.
Trump and his legal team say Curiel should step aside from the Trump University case.
“We’re in front of a very hostile judge,” Trump told a campaign rally in San Diego last week. “The judge was appointed by Barack Obama, federal judge. Frankly, he should recuse himself because he’s given us ruling after ruling after ruling, negative, negative, negative.”
Curiel’s “La Raza Lawyers of San Diego” tried to downplay its political side in a statement to the Daily Caller on Wednesday.
“Our organization has not been involved in organizing any of the anti-Trump rallies, much less encouraged our members or anyone to participate in any illegal activity,” the statement said. “We help empower Latino attorneys, judges and law students, and provide services to the greater local Latino community.”
That means it’s not just hard to believe for a lot of people that Trump will get a fair shake in court. It’s impossible.

Is this really the person we want in the White House?FBI agents investigating the death of Bill Clinton’s Deputy White House Counsel found that Hillary Clinton ‘triggered’ his suicide when she attacked and humiliated her mentor from their former Rose Law Firm in front of other White House aides a week before he took his own life.
Vince Foster’s suicide has been the focus of much speculation since he shot himself in a Virginia park in 1993, as Donald Trump pointed out in a recent interview.
‘It’s the one thing with her, whether it’s Whitewater or whether it’s Vince or whether it’s Benghazi. It’s always a mess with Hillary,’ Trump said.
But former FBI agents believe they had the story straight.
The FBI investigation was conducted for independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr’s probe of the Clintons’ investments in the Whitewater real estate development. For unknown reasons, Starr elected to conceal the FBI’s findings in his final report.
But in interviews for my book The First Family Detail, the FBI agents revealed the truth about Foster’s death on July 20, 1993 when he shot himself at Fort Marcy Park along the Potomac River.
In interviewing Clinton White House aides and Foster’s friends and family, the FBI found that a week before Foster’s death, Hillary held a meeting at the White House with Foster and other top aides to discuss her proposed health care legislation.
Hillary violently disagreed with a legal objection Foster raised at the meeting and ridiculed him in front of his peers, former FBI agent Coy Copeland and former FBI supervisory agent Jim Clemente told me.
Copeland was Starr’s senior investigator and read the reports of other agents working for Starr.
During the White House meeting, Hillary continued to humiliate Foster mercilessly, both former FBI agents say.
‘Hillary put him down really, really bad in a pretty good-size meeting,’ Copeland says. ‘She told him he didn’t get the picture, and he would always be a little hick town lawyer who was obviously not ready for the big time.’
Indeed, Hillary went so far as to blame Foster for all the Clintons’ problems and accuse him of failing them, according to Clemente, who was also assigned by the FBI to the Starr investigation and who probed the circumstances surrounding Foster’s suicide.
‘Foster was profoundly depressed, but Hillary lambasting him was the final straw because she publicly embarrassed him in front of others,’ says Clemente, speaking about the investigation for the first time.
‘Hillary blamed him for failed nominations, claimed he had not vetted them properly, and said in front of his White House colleagues, “You’re not protecting us” and “You have failed us,” Clemente says. ‘That was the final blow.’
After the meeting, Foster’s behavior changed dramatically, the FBI agents found. Those who knew him said his voice sounded strained, he became withdrawn and preoccupied, and his sense of humor vanished. At times, Foster teared up. He talked of feeling trapped.
On Tuesday, July 13, 1993, while having dinner with his wife Lisa, Foster broke down and began to cry. He said he was considering resigning.
That weekend, Foster and his wife drove to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where they saw their friends, Michael Cardoza and Webster Hubbell, and their wives.
‘They played tennis, they swam, and they said he sat in a lawn chair, just kind of sat there in the lawn chair,’ Copeland says.
‘They said that just was not Vince. He loved to play tennis, and he was always sociable, but he just sat over in the corner by himself and stared off into space, reading a book.’
Two days later, Foster left the White House parking lot at 1.10 p.m. The precise time when he shot himself could not be pinpointed. After Park Police found his body, they notified the U.S. Secret Service at 8.30 p.m.
Based on what ‘dozens’ of others who had contact with Foster after that meeting told the agents, while Foster was already depressed, ‘the put-down that she gave him in that big meeting just pushed him over the edge,’ Copeland says. ‘It was the final straw that broke the camel’s back.’
No one can explain a suicide in rational terms. But the FBI investigation concluded that it was Hillary’s vilification of Foster in front of other White House aides, coming on top of his depression, that triggered his suicide about a week later, Copeland and Clemente both say.

Maya Dillard Smith, whose resignation was first reported by Atlanta Progressive News, wrote: “I have shared my
personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices, entered.
“My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer,” she continued.
Smith — who was one of just three African-American state directors in the ACLU and describes herself as “unapologetically black” — said that she could no longer work for the organization, which was been a staunch advocate of allowing men who self-identify as women to use whichever bathroom they please.
“I found myself principally and philosophically unaligned with the organization,” she said.
Smith has launched a new website titled Finding Middle Ground, which is described as a “safe space to talk about civil rights for all.”
The site features a video of a young girl talking about the need to have an honest discussion about transgender issues. “Boys in the girls’ bathroom? I don’t know about that,” the girl says at one point.
“There are some boys who feel like they’re girls on the inside and there are some boys who are just perverts,” the girl continues.
Then, text flashes across the screen that says: “How do we KEEP OUR LITTLE GIRLS SAFE and PREVENT TRANSGENDER DISCRIMINATION? How
do we prevent PREDATORS from PREYING on kids in bathrooms?”
“What makes it scary, is that, sometimes strangers take advantage of kids,” the girl continues.
Later, a question pops on screen: “How can we ask these kinds of questions….without being called a homophobe?”

Commentary by
Ann Coulter | URL of the original posting site: http://humanevents.com/2016/06/01/key-to-trumps-victory-math/?utm_source=coulterdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

Both CNN and MSNBC retold this completely bogus narrative this week. NPR rolls it out once every two weeks.
I — along with other people capable of reading election returns — have written about this forever. I did most recently in “Adios, America,” in a chapter titled, “I Wrote This Chapter After Noticing How Stupid Rich People Are,” inspired by a dinner party I went to in Palm Beach, Florida, the day after I’d already turned in my book.
I’m writing an emergency book on Trump right now, due today, and liberals won’t stop lying about Prop 187 — so for this week’s column, I’m telling the real story of that initiative, again. Maybe the 700th time is the charm!
In 1994, Gov. Pete Wilson of California was headed for defeat in his re-election bid. He had an abysmal 15 percent approval rating — syphilis had a higher approval rating. He ended up pulling out an amazing come-from-behind victory by tying himself to Proposition 187, a ballot initiative that would deny illegal immigrants non-emergency government services.
In the lead-up to the election, the media freely dispensed advice to Wilson, nearly identical to the advice they’re giving Donald Trump today.
Proposition 187, was, in the words of The New York Times, a “nativist abomination,” “xenophobic,” and a “platform of bigotry, racism and scapegoating.” Republicans faced an epic loss unless they repudiated Prop 187 and leapt on the Hispandering bandwagon — and pronto.
Unaware that the Times’ political advice was a gag, Wilson’s Democratic opponent, Kathleen Brown, was convinced opposition to Proposition 187 would propel her to victory. She campaigned against the proposition, urging voters to “send a message that says we understand that in diversity is our strength!”
Pete “Prop 187” Wilson won the election with 55 percent of the vote. That included 21 percent of the black vote — nearly three times the 8 percent average for Republicans in House races nationwide the same year.
Wilson’s 1994 victory on the back of Proposition 187 also happens to be the biggest margin for any Republican running statewide in California in the last 30 years, except for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger who won his 2006 re-election by one point more (after effectively becoming a Democrat).
Proposition 187 was even more popular than Wilson, winning 59 percent to 41 percent. It was supported by a majority of white voters, a majority of black voters, a majority of Asian voters — and a third of Hispanic voters, i.e., more of the Hispanic vote than Mitt Romney got.
Proposition 187 was twice as popular with Hispanic voters in California as George H.W. Bush had been two years earlier. In 1992, Bill Clinton won 71 percent of the Hispanic vote in California to Bush’s 14 percent. Texas Hispanics chose Clinton over Bush by nearly the identical percentage, 70 percent to 15 percent.
Maybe there’s something else Hispanics don’t like about Republicans.
In 1992, Proposition 187 wasn’t even a twinkle in California’s eye. Hispanics had no idea they were supposed to hate Republicans yet. Nonetheless, they voted in a landslide for the Democratic presidential candidate, and also for two Democrats running for the U.S. Senate that year.
The reason California can’t elect a Republican statewide isn’t that Hispanics got even madder at Republicans since Proposition 187. It’s that they’re a much larger part of the electorate, thanks to:
(1) Reagan’s amnesty; and
(2) the ACLU running to a Jimmy Carter-appointed judge to get Proposition 187 overturned.

The combination of amnestied illegals and their kids, and illegal aliens coming for the free government services and their kids, has resulted in a state where whites are only about 40 percent of the population and 60 percent of the electorate.
Pete Wilson’s victory with Proposition 187 ought to be studied by today’s GOP like General Eisenhower’s Operation Overlord. Today’s America has nearly the same demographics as California did in 1994 — aka “the California Republicans Swept With an Anti–Illegal Alien Initiative.” In 1994, California’s voting population was 75 percent white, 12 percent Hispanic, 7 percent African-American and 6 percent Asian. Today, the American electorate is 72 percent white, 10 percent Hispanic, 13 percent African-American and 3 percent Asian.
I understand why the left doesn’t want the GOP to try anything like Prop 187 again. But why can’t Republicans do the math?

Hollywood Justice

Posted on June 1, 2016The number of Syrian refugees admitted into the United States jumped to 1,037 during May – an increase of 130 percent over the previous month – but the proportion of Christians among them remains miniscule: two Christians (0.19 percent) compared to 1,035 Muslims.
May’s figure of 1,037 Syrian refugees brings the total number since the beginning of 2016 to 2,099 – compared to 2,192 for the whole of 2015, according to State Department Refugee Processing Center data.
Earlier years since the Syrian civil war began saw much smaller numbers arriving –
20 in 2011 (dated from mid-March);
41 in 2012; 45 in 2013;
249 in 2014.
Of the 2,099 Syrian refugees admitted so far this year, six (0.28 percent) are Christians,
2,043 (97.3 percent) are Sunni Muslims.
The remaining 50 are 17 (0.8 percent) Shi’a,
30 (1.4 percent) other Muslims and
10 (0.47 percent) Yazidis.
Similar proportions are seen in the number of Syrian refugees having arrived in the U.S. since the start of fiscal year 2016:
2,773 in total, comprising 12 (0.4 percent) Christians,
2,703 (97.4 percent) Sunnis,
17 (0.6 percent) Shi’a,
30 (1.1 percent) other Muslims and
10 (0.3 percent) Yazidis.
And since the conflict erupted, of a total of 4,646 Syrian refugees admitted,
60 (1.3 percent) are Christians;
4,422 (95.1 percent) are Sunni Muslims.
The remaining 163 include Shi’a, other Muslims,
Zoroastrians, Baha’i, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Yazidi, and refugees identified as “other religion” or as having “no religion.”
Syrians of all faith and ethnic backgrounds have been fleeing their homeland, with almost five million now registered by the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR as “persons of concern.”

It has become fashionable for the professionally-aggrieved to frame their arguments by attacking the legitimacy of whichever institution blocks the progress of their objectives. For Mexican Nationalists and their American-born sympathizers, that means attacking the legitimacy of America itself. If America’s current borders are legitimate, they have no grounds to push for the Annexation of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
They have been watching and learning from the success of other agitator groups and their tactics – long on slogans, short on truth. If the public can rally around a lie as discredited as “Hands Up Don’t shoot”, the give our land back” angle should be a slam dunk. Right?
Well maybe, if you don’t look too closely. There are few stubborn facts along the way.
You are arguing for past borders. Ok, but which ones? Back in the 1840s, Mexico claimed Texas belonged to it, even though both France and England recognized its autonomy. If you accept that as sufficient for a Mexican claim on Texas, then it’s time you tear the “Free Tibet” sticker off of your Prius. (But it’s “your” land.)
Maybe you remember a little dustup where you wanted to show Texas who’s boss. How’d that work out for you? You incited a war, got your backside handed to you on a plate, and watched your own government fall in the process. You sure showed them. (But it’s “your” land.)

Funny thing about your logic. You have chosen a historical date convenient to your agenda. Why the 1840’s? Why don’t you argue for the historical boundaries fifty years earlier? Oh, that’s right. Because then you’d be making a case for returning to Spanish rule. Overturning Cinco de Mayo and whatnot. (But it’s ” your” land.)
You, Mexican Nationalists, have chosen the boundaries as conquered by the Spanish colonists, whose rule you did not even accept over yourselves, but whose EMPIRE, and rule over others you claim FOR yourselves. (But it’s “your” land.)
Why do you think you have a claim on those American States? Because Spanish Empire. Why does Spain have no claim on Mexico? Because independence. See the contradiction yet? Probably not.
Asking Native Americans whether they accept your spanish claims of an empire would add yet another level of complication.
Everyone living in the affected territories may choose, either to relocate South of the Rio Grande or to become citizens of the United States. Roughly 90% chose to stay.
“But it’s their land.” Correct. lt is the land of that 90% who chose to stay on as Americans. Tell me who has a more legitimate claim?
