Imagine if we were confronted with another dispute over the outcome of a presidential election like that between George W. Bush and Al Gore in 2000. Now imagine that a highly political Attorney General – let’s call him Eric – were authorized by federal law to intervene in that dispute, and to throw the weight of the U.S. Justice Department behind the claims of one of the candidates. That disturbing scenario is entirely plausible under a proposed amendment to federal voting law that would dramatically expand the jurisdiction of the Justice Department and revolutionize the way it litigates voting rights lawsuits.

In early February, Republican and Democratic sponsors introduced the “Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014,” ostensibly to repair the provisions of the Voting Rights Act struck down by the Supreme Court last June in Shelby County v. Holder. The bill has been roundly (and rightly) criticized, primarily because its application would depend on the existence of “violations” that do not entail any actual discrimination, because its protections depend on race-based distinctions, and because it imposes burdensome new reporting requirements.

What has escaped comment so far, however, is the fact that a little-noticed provision of the bill would abolish the longstanding legal principle that the U.S. Attorney General has no authority to sue directly for certain violations of the Constitution. An amendment buried deep in the final pages of the bill alters the Voting Rights Act to allow the Attorney General to seek an injunction against “any act prohibited by the 14th or 15th Amendment” of the Constitution. Under current law, the Attorney General is only authorized to bring civil rights claims under specific statutes, typically those prohibiting discrimination. Private plaintiffs can, and do, allege violations of the Constitution, but the Justice Department does not.

The proposed change is a major power grab by the Justice Department, allowing it to become involved in a whole range of 14thAmendment cases which it previously would have been unable to pursue. These cases include some of the most partisan, politically charged disputes that arise in any given election cycle. The Justice Department’s new jurisdiction would extend to lawsuits concerning the validity or counting of ballots – like, for example, Bush v. Gore. The Justice Department could also intervene in partisan redistricting disputes regarding the principle of “one person, one vote” or unconstitutional gerrymandering. Any Justice Department would have a difficult time maintaining even the appearance of neutrality in handling such cases. A politicized Justice Department could engender one political or even constitutional crisis after another.

Eric Holder may be the most politically partisan Attorney General since John Mitchell. But pick your poison. Would you want a Justice Department under either Eric Holder or John Mitchell taking sides in disputes over who won a congressional or presidential election, in decennial redistricting fights, or in challenges to partisan gerrymanders?

There is no need for this change, as private plaintiffs have shown themselves fully capable of suing to enforce their own 14th Amendment rights. The fact that prevailing parties may recoup attorney’s fees and other expenses means that there is no shortage of plaintiffs willing to litigate any potential 14th Amendment claim.

Certainly the Justice Department has done nothing to justify this extraordinary expansion of its powers. To the contrary, an Inspector General’s report issued in March 2013 documented, among other things, partisan harassment of conservative and Republican employees of the Voting Section and race-based enforcement of the Voting Rights Act.

In the best of times, the proposed change would threaten to corrupt the Justice Department’s neutral enforcement of federal law. Under a politicized Justice Department it is courting disaster.Robert D. Campus Reform’s Katherine Timpf attended the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference (NYFLC) — an event which promised to be about “inclusivity” and welcoming everyone — only to be told that “conservative” women were not welcome.

Timpf attempted to ask students’ their opinions on feminism, but conference organizers made an announcement advising participants not to talk to Campus Reform because it was a “conservative” outlet.

“You guys aren’t wanted here.”

The organizers also followed Timpf around the conference to interrupt her conversations with students to tell them the same thing.

“They’re a group that’s conservative, so what we are fighting for is not something…” one organizer told a student who was talking with Timpf, prompting the student to walk away.“You’re just assuming that based on where I work,” Timpf told the organizer.

“Yeah, we are,” the organizer stated.

“You guys aren’t wanted here,” a participant told the reporter after the warning.

“I thought this was supposed to be an inclusive thing, why am I being excluded because of where I work?” Timpf asked another organizer after another interruption.

“Because the place that you work is not inclusive,” the organizer responded.

“You don’t know that,” Timpf said. “You don’t know anything about me or my personal beliefs, I’m just being labeled and excluded based on a label.”

Its “safe space policy” promised the event would be “structured around inclusivity … with a focus on representing various perspectives,” according to the event’s official website.

“We will not tolerate, allow, or encourage behavior which makes folks feel uncomfortable, threatened, or demoralized,” the policy continued.

The NYFLC conference was held March 29-31 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Crystal City, VA.

University to teach students ‘How To Be A Lesbian in 10 Days or Less’ during seminar

The LGBTQ seminar at USCU is a one-hour performance that follows Butchy McDyke, an expert lesbian.

The symposium is funded by outside grants and university funds.

Earlier this month, the South Carolina House of Representatives voted to cut almost $17,142 from USCU, over literature containing gay themes.

An upcoming LGBTQ seminar at the University of South Carolina Upstate (USCU) will teach students How to Be a Lesbian in 10 Days or Less and will focus on LGBTQ cultural mores.

According to the school’s website, theater artist Leigh Hendrix will perform her one-woman show, How to Be a Lesbian in 10 Days or Less, to kick off the sixth Bodies of Knowledge Symposium and Conference.

The show is a one-hour performance that follows Butchy McDyke, a motivational speaker and expert lesbian, as she “deftly guides her captive audience in an exploration of self-discovery and first love, coming out, lesbian sex, queer politics, and a really important Reba McEntire song.”

Hendrix encourages her audience to shout “I’m a big ‘ol dyke!” in a show that is “one part instructional seminar, one part personal story, and one party wacky performance art.”

The symposium is funded by outside grants as well as university funds according to Dr. Lisa Johnson, the Director of the Center for Women’s & Gender Studies at USCU.

Dr. Johnson declined to discuss what percentage of the funding was coming from the university.

“Until you call and ask how much money has been spent on heterosexual literature, I’m not going to answer that question,” Johnson told Campus Reform.

Earlier this month, the South Carolina House of Representatives voted to cut almost $70,000 in funding for two public universities, including $17,142 from USCU, over literature containing gay themes.

The symposium will also include presentations of papers from students, faculty, and community members “on topics related to LGBTQ lives and culture.”

“In a historical moment that defines ‘gay,’ ‘lesbian,’ and ‘trans’ according to highly assimilative models, we hope to document, analyze, and disrupt this too-easy cultural knowingness about what it means to be, become, advocate for, recognize, or represent any element of ‘the’ LGBTQ community (as if there is one unified community), as well as the various identities included in, compelled by, or excluded from that community,” reads a call for papers.

Suggested topics include queer places and regions, and LGBTQ uses of social media such as “the queerness of instagram, the transness of tumblr, displays of compulsory heterosexuality on Facebook,” and “the lesbigay selfie.”

Scheduled talks during the conference include “Trans, but Not Like You Think” and “The Extraordinary Lives of Bible Belt Gays.”

The two panel discussions are titled “Queer Moods, Moody Queers” and “How to Be Queer.”

Oversight committee to meet to consider contempt for Lois Lerner

Rep. Darrell Issa is convening a meeting of the House

Oversight Committee to consider contempt charges against Lois Lerner.

The “business meeting” will be held on April 10, 2014 at 9 a.m. in the Rayburn Office Building.

“Ms. Lerner’s involvement in wrongdoing and refusal to meet her legal obligations has left the committee with no alternative but to consider a contempt finding,” Issa said in a statement.

While the last full Oversight hearing resulted in a headline-making back-and-forth between Issa and Democratic Ranking Member Elijah Cummings, the last important Oversight Committee business meeting resulted in the finding that Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights.

Committee business meetings are open to and attended by committee members from both parties

$6 Billion Goes Missing at State Department

The State Department has no idea what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors.

In a special “management alert” made public Thursday, the State Department’s Inspector General Steve Linick warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at the department has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years.

The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors.

The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt to conceal evidence of illicit behavior by omitting key documents from the contract file. It impairs the ability of the Department to take effective and timely action to protect its interests, and, in tum, those of taxpayers.”

In the memo, the IG detailed “repeated examples of poor contract file administration.” For instance, a recent investigation of the closeout process for contracts supporting the mission in Iraq, showed that auditors couldn’t find 33 of the 115 contract files totaling about $2.1 billion. Of the remaining 82 files, auditors said 48 contained insufficient documents required by federal law.

In another instance, the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement issued a $1 billion contract in Afghanistan that was deemed “incomplete.”

The auditor recommended that the State Department establish a centralized system to track, maintain and retain contract files.

The department responded and said it concurred with the recommendations to address the “vulnerability” in its contracting process.

Before Linick took office last fall, the State Department had been without an inspector general position for five years—the longest IG vacancy in the government’s history, as noted in The Washington Post.

WASHINGTON — White House officials sought valuable primetime air for a rare, impromptu Tuesday night address to tout the accomplishment of signing up more than 7 million people under the Affordable Care Act.

But network officials refused to make the kind of accommodation they did previously for the announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed, for instance, and Obama was left instead cutting into the much smaller audiences of Ellen and other daytime shows.

Three sources familiar with the request confirmed the White House asked for the primetime slot in their effort both to emphasize a bright moment following the challenging roll out and, more important, to try to reintroduce the country to a law that remains unpopular. One top White House official referred BuzzFeed to another top official for comment on the conversation with networks, but the second official did not respond to a request for comment.

People familiar with the request declined to reveal which network blocked the primetime address, but broadcast networks have traditionally been much more reluctant than cable networks to provide the White House with evening air time.

Instead of the primetime speaking slot the White House wanted, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden lauded the accomplishment in a less formal Rose Garden address that was alternately celebratory and hard-edged.

“In the end, history is not kind to those who would deny Americans their basic economic security. Nobody remembers well those who stand in the way of America’s progress or our people,” Obama said.

The White House rarely asks for primetime broadcast TV time for Obama outside the traditional State of the Union address. Indeed, the Oval Office message is one of the traditional venues for presidential communications Obama’s team has shunned in favor of digital and nontraditional media tools that don’t require the help of established media. But while a primetime address remains a powerful tool available only to the sitting president, networks face a different imperative: protecting their profitable primetime lineup.

Last Sunday, the New York Times published a front-page article about the heartfelt need of California farmers for more illegal aliens.

The first tip-off that heinous public policy ideas were coming was that the Times introduced farmer Chuck Herrin, owner of a farm-labor contracting company, as a “lifelong Republican.” That’s Times-speak for “liberal.”

Herrin admitted that he employs a lot of illegal aliens and bitterly complained that they lived in fear of “Border Patrol and deportations.” (But, apparently, he doesn’t live in fear of admitting he’s violating our immigration laws.)

Sorry that running a country inconveniences you, Chuck.

He said his illegal alien employees deserved amnesty because if “we keep them here and not do anything for them once they get old, that’s really extortion.”

As the punch line goes, “What’s this ‘we,’ paleface?”

Taxpayers have been subsidizing Chuck Herrin’s underpayment of his illegal labor force for decades, with skyrocketing taxes to pay for schools, roads, bridges, food stamps, health care and so on. Now Herrin thinks “we” are supposed to support his illegal employees in their old age, too.

Here’s another idea: How about a federal law mandating that employers of illegal aliens take responsibility for the people they hire? Why is the taxpayer on the hook for illegal aliens’ food, housing and medical care, when Chuck Herrin got 100 percent of the profit from their cheap labor?

We don’t allow chemical companies to dump pollutants in rivers, walk away and then say, “If we dump chemicals in rivers and we don’t clean them once the plant is gone, that’s really criminal.”

No, you dumped the chemicals — not “we.” And you, Chuck Herrin, got the cheap labor — not “we.”

“We” got hospital emergency rooms jammed with illegal aliens when we came in with heart attacks. “We” got the crime, drunk-driving and drug trafficking associated with illegal aliens. “We” got the overcrowded schools filled with kids whose illegal alien parents don’t pay property taxes. “We” got to press “one” for English.

This is even worse than the Wall Street bailouts — another example of fat cats pocketing 100 percent of the profits when business is good, but demanding a taxpayer handout when their investments go south. At least the Wall Street bailouts didn’t alter the country forever by giving the Democrats 30 million new voters.

According to the California Hospital Association, health care for illegal aliens is costing state taxpayers well over $1 billion a year.. Eighty-four hospitals across California have already been forced to close because of unpaid bills by illegal aliens.

Last year alone, California taxpayers paid $32 million for indigents’ health care at hospitals located in Fresno County– which happens to be where Chuck Herrin’s company is based. How about submitting a portion of that cost to Herrin?

Here’s your bill for $13 million.

What’s this for?

The county hospital. You’ve been paying your employees $20 an hour, and that’s just not enough to pay for their measles and tuberculosis treatments, not to mention delivery of their premature babies. No one’s saying it’s your fault, but it’s not the county hospital’s fault either.

Luckily, you’ve got deep pockets, Chuck – several hundred million dollars a year, we understand – thanks in part to how little you pay your workers, who are burdening our local services.

Not only should employers of illegal aliens be responsible for their employees’ becoming public charges, but they ought to be legally responsible for any crimes their illegal workers commit, just as parents can be for the crimes of their minor children, and bars can be for the behavior of their over-served customers.

Why should employers of illegal aliens be allowed to externalize their costs, while keeping 100 percent of the profits?

The very fact that the American taxpayer is required to subsidize illegal alien farm labor — to say nothing of anti-competitive marketing orders, tariffs and subsidies given to farmers — proves that we’re propping up an industry the country doesn’t need.

If Mexican farm labor is so much cheaper, maybe we should be growing our fruits and vegetables in Mexico. There’s absolutely no reason to import Mexicans to do something they could do at home and then sell to us. I believe this is what economists call “competitive advantage.”

The Times quotes a report by two pro-amnesty farmers groups, Partnership for a New American Economy and the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform, complaining that American consumption of foreign-grown produce has increased by 80 percent since the late 1990s.

I see why rich farmers are alarmed by that, but why should Americans care? If food can be grown cheaper in other countries, isn’t it the very essence of libertarian free trade principles to buy it from them?

No. Apparently, we’re required to wreck the country by bringing in millions upon millions more poor people so we can save the buggy whip industry.

We didn’t do that with oil. We didn’t do it with steel. We must be “Fortress America” only when it comes to asparagus!

Hey! Where’s the Cato Institute on this? Busy drafting another philippic against our drug laws?

I care more about my fellow Americans who can’t get well-paying jobs than I do about multimillionaire farmers, demanding that the rest of us pay to support an industry that claims it can’t compete without taxpayer-subsidized illegal alien labor.

ATF Agent Attempts to Illegally Scan Gun Owner Forms of Pac N Arms Multiple Times – Threatens to Revoke Dealer’s License

Last year, Gun Owners of America warned that the “ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) is going from dealer to dealer, copying the information on these forms (4473), and feeding it into a database.” We’ve seen, in recent weeks, how this unconstitutional agency is illegally terrorizing small business owners, such as Ares Armor, and raiding their establishments to gather information on their customers, in what many people believe is part of the plan to create a national gun registry database. Now comes another story out of Maine.

According to Phil Chabot, owner of Pac N Arms, the ATF also used illegal tactics to attempt to scan information on his customers as well.

Chabot has worked with the general public and various law enforcement agencies over the past twenty-two years and has many federal agents, including DEA, FBI, Homeland Security, ATF and US Marshals as customers.

Though Chabot acknowledges that ATF conducts Industry Operations Inspections (IOI – an audit that all firearms dealers [FFLs] may be subject to, during which the ATF verifies our inventory and is supposed to verify all paperwork and record-keeping is being done correctly and is properly maintained) every five years, I have pointed out that any and all federal gun laws are unconstitutional since the states never gave any authority to the federal government when it comes to restricting arms of US citizens. Therefore the agency, in its existence, is a violation of the federal constitution.

Chabot has engaged in numerous IOIs with the ATF that, according to him, are usually “completed within a week.” However, he said the most recent audit, which took place in August of 2013, “went on over two months, and it appeared to be little more than a thinly-veiled attempt to create a registry of my clientele.”

Under 18 USC § 926, anyone in the Justice Department, including members of the ATF are categorically prohibited from seizing any records or documents other than those constituting material evidence of a violation of law.

Specifically, the law reads:

“No such rule or regulation prescribed after the date of the enactment of the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act may require that records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or dispositions be established. Nothing in this section expands or restricts the Secretary’s authority to inquire into the disposition of any firearm in the course of a criminal investigation.”

While the first day of the audit produced no problems, except some corrections that needed to be made on ATF’s end, Chabot said that ATF employee Wayne Bettencourt produced a handheld scanner, approximately the size and shape of a large marker, and began to go through the bound book of ATF 4473 forms and attempted to scan all the pages of the documents, which contain over 1700 forms from gun sales and transfers.

Chabot confronted Bettencourt about his illegal procedure and Bettencourt said he has the authority to do it. Chabot said he did not and told the agent that if he were willing to give him a written statement that he had that authority, he would not stop him from scanning. This was an attempt to hold the agent accountable.

According to Chabot, “Bettencourt vehemently refused to provide me with anything signed by him or other ATF authorities, and made the ridiculous claim that the records were the property of the ATF and he could do with them what he liked, and that if I kept refusing him, he would be back with an administrative warrant so that he could just take the records that I am bound by federal law to father and maintain. I again refused to allow Bettencourt to illegally copy my records, at which point he told me that I should be careful not to make the investigation about me, and that ‘my license depended on how well I worked with him.’ This was clearly a threat intended to let me know that if I did not allow him to perform the illegal activity of copying my bound books, he would retaliate and that my Federal Firearms License was at risk.”

In other words, Bettencourt seems to have been extorting Chabot in order to illegally seize customer information, ie. create a national gun registration database.

Mr. Chabot went on to say, that after he continued to refuse Bettencourt’s illegal actions, Bettencourt said he had legal investigations to conduct and didn’t want to be interfered with. However, since no warrant had been produced, Chabot stood his ground, noticing “that Bettencourt seemed to be scanning chiefly the A&D pages and especially concentrating on every woman and on every person who had purchased more than one firearm in a week.”

At that point, Chabot told the agent to stop using his scanner and told the agent to provide him with a list of the criminal cases he was alleging to be investigating. Bettencourt was unable to produce a list.

Bettencourt became angry and belligerent, angrily repeating his previous statements about taking the records through administrative warrants and threatening Chabot’s licenses. To the best of Chabot’s knowledge, Bettencourt does not have investigative authority to even allow for any type of criminal investigation, as his job encompasses records keeping compliance, not criminal investigation.

Following that issue, the audit seemed to go well. However, when Bettencourt returned on August 16, 2013 to follow up, he demanded Chabot exit his shop, told him to get a good lawyer because, in Chabot’s word, “he was going to see to it that there was an administrative warrant taken out on my business ASAP, and that he would be taking my records.”

While Bettencourt couldn’t understand his own illegal actions and that fact that Chabot was standing up for his customers and the law, he was apparently threatening Chabot’s livelihood for not allowing him to break the law and scan any records he wanted to.

Bettencourt returned again on August 29, 2013 and attempted to scan documents once again, and once again Chabot stopped him from doing so.

On October 9, 2013, Bettencourt returned once more and attempted the same illegal action. Chabot said, “I told him that not only was it illegal, but that I felt I was personally liable and ran the risk of being sued by my customers if their personal information, including social security numbers, got out. I told Bettencourt that I would allow the scanning only with a warrant or a signed statement attesting to the legality of the scanning. Bettencourt finally told me that the audit was finished and once again angrily responded that he would not be signing anything and yelled at me that he would be working toward revoking my current FFL’s and making sure the application for the FFL for my new location was denied.”

Chabot contacted Bettencourt’s supervisor in Boston, Agent Linda Champagne, who told him that if the agent didn’t get to copy or scan his records, the ATF would pursue the revocation of his current license and deny his application for the new shop he was working on. This is in clear violation of the law.

Chabot says that he has spoken to numerous agents in various federal agencies and they have all expressed concern over the cavalier attitude of the ATF. And why shouldn’t they? Anyone remember Waco? How about Ruby Ridge? Fast and Furious? Yes, all of those were the product of the ATF, an illegal and unconstitutional federal agency.

In speaking to Mr. Chabot to confirm the situation, he referred us to his attorney, Penny Dean, who asked us to postpone an interview for a couple of weeks until they have obtained certain witnesses in the matter, which we agreed to do. Our desire is not to make it more difficult for justice to be brought to bear in the matter. However, Ms. Dean did encourage us to report on Mr. Chabot’s letter to his Senator, Susan Collins, which is where the bulk of this article comes from.

Phil Chabot did tell Freedom Outpost that he does want other gun dealers to stand up against illegal actions by the ATF for the sake of their customers privacy. I applaud his efforts to stand his ground, based on the law.

I about wrecked my car when I first saw the billboard. One of my friends had sent me a picture of it, but I had to go and see it for myself. There it was bigger than life! JESUS IS MUSLIM!

“What the heck?” I said under my breath as I watched the electronic billboard switch messages. I don’t know if I have ever read a more ridiculous statement.

Jesus IS (present tense) Muslim. Where do they come up with this crap? We live in an age of universal deceit. This sign was flashing across the landscape in Columbus, Ohio in an attempt to soften the underbelly of American Christians into the acceptance of Chrislam…the merging of Christianity and Islam based on the idea that we “all serve the same God.”

A little more investigation revealed that this was a marketing campaign of the followers of the “Religion of Peace” designed to make the throat-cutters a little more palatable to the tolerance-mesmerized American citizen.

Here is a link to their campaign found at Ask A Muslim (http://www.ask-a-muslim.com/index.php/news) which is designed to “educate non-Muslims.” Spend some time on that website. You can see how there are marketing their lies.

But that wasn’t the only message they were putting on the billboards educating we Christian Infidels about the great features of Islam. Their messages rotated on the billboard…

Gee. If I didn’t know better, I would think that Muslims and Christians were just one big happy family sitting under the authority of their Daddy Jehovah/Allah.

Nice of the Muslims to “educate” us, isn’t it? By the way…according to our research that is about $2100 per message…4 messages per sign…$8400 per month per billboard…three different billboards in Columbus…about $25,000 per month to “educate” us on the fact that we are actual brothers.

Our oil money is paying for the “education.”

I guess I don’t understand why, if we all serve the same God, that our Islamic brethren are sharpening their swords on the necks of our Christian friends around the world. Must just be a miss understanding. After all…we all serve the same God…them and all of Jesus’ followers.

I have noticed one unusual aspect of our relationship, however. It seems like the more closely one follows the life of their prophet Mohammed, the more violent one behaves…while true followers of Jesus becoming increasingly more peaceful.

Jesus must not be a very good Muslim.

Here is where it gets gritty. It seems as if some of those who are in Jesus’ half of the family are starting to realize that Allah is just another name for Abba Father. Here is a well-known pastor declaring we serve the same God. Watch the first 2 minutes of this video.

This is dangerous stuff folks. And in case you didn’t know, the Muslims are not decedents of Ishmael, as is often taught in our churches. It might be important for us to get this one right.

We know of two of Abraham’s sons. Ishmael was birthed through his hand maiden Hagar, while Issac came from the loins of his first wife Sarah. That’s right…Sarah was not Abraham’s only wife. After her death, Abraham married, or at least had in his concubine, Keturah, who gave him six sons. It is from this line that the Arab’s descended.

Islam did not begin until Mohammed received a “visitation by an angel” 600 years after the death of Jesus the Christ. How could Jesus be a Muslim?

Muslims “believe in” Jesus. But they believe Jesus was merely a prophet…not the Son of God. Muslims teach “Allah had no children.”

Jesus isn’t Muslim. Jesus is the Son of God.

They are lying to us folks.

How scandalous to use Our Savior to draw people into murderous Islam. Muslims don’t believe that Jesus was the Son of God. They don’t believe He was crucified on the cross. They deny the resurrection. Other than that, they think Jesus is a pretty good camel-jockey. They’re OK with the fact he lied about the God-thing. Muslims think lying is cool. The end justifies the means. Anything to advance Islam…even putting up lying messages about Jesus on billboards. All good Muslims lie.

Why would they do that? Because they can’t hold up their own prophet as a role model…even though their religion teaches Mohammed was the “perfect man.” We need look no further than WDMD, What Did Mohammed Do?

For starters, Mohammed married a six-year old girl, although he was kind enough to wait until she was nine to consummate the marriage. He wasn’t very good on women’s rights either. No wonder they have to use Jesus to try and draw folks into Islam. Pedophilia is a hard sell, even in today’s seeker sensitive, judge-not churches.

I have watched the local news every night for a week waiting for someone to raise a stink about dragging Our Savior through the mud. We have challenged the pastors to fight back because souls are at risk.

Silence. They are cowardly. They know the message on the billboard is a lie. They know it will lead people into Islam. They know Jesus is being used to further the enemy’s agenda, but they don’t care. They have bills to pay, ears to tickle…and Jesus is returning soon…so why bother? Let’s just let Jesus clean up the mess when He comes back any day now.

Well, we are going to do something about it. We are going to call the Muslims out. We want them to prove what they put on those billboards. We support their right to do it. We believe in free speech. But we want them to put up or shut up. We are not afraid of them. We are gathering to make sure that Columbus knows that JESUS WAS NOT MUSLIM!!

When David ran towards Goliath he yelled “Who is that uncircumcised Philistine that defies the armies of the living God?”

How dare them!

How dare they hijack Jesus during the most sacred of Christian seasons? Can you imagine if Christians had put a billboard up in a Muslim neighborhood reading “JESUS IS LORD” during Ramadan? You know what the reaction would be…hope you have fire insurance.

Free speech is a Christian ideal. There is no free speech in Muslim countries. First they want to hijack our airplanes, then our Constitution, soon our nation, and now they want to hijack our Lord to advance their agenda.

Tell me Pastors, when will enough be enough? Where will you draw your line in the sand?

I’ve drawn mine. It is time to push back. Is there not a cause? Jesus isn’t Muslim. Jesus is Lord!

Perhaps you are wondering what I am talking about. Maybe you missed out on my commentary yesterday.

If you didn’t, you need to read it. Otherwise, this commentary won’t make sense to you. The Muslims put up a series of billboards in Columbus, Ohio declaring “Jesus Is Muslim.”

Here is the story. It is worth the read. Islam – The Religion of Propaganda – Claims Jesus is Muslim.

So we held our rally. It poured down rain the entire time. It is a wonder that anyone came.

But they did. About 100 stout hearts battled the elements to stand up for Jesus. There is a lot of good info on my Facebook page. We have posted some great moments from the rally. It is worth your time to visit and read the reports. Go here.

But the bottom line is that the Muslims took down the “Jesus Is Muslim” billboard. You read that right; they took the sign down!

I don’t think you understand the significance of that statement. We are not some powerful media outlet…we used social media to draw a crowd. We didn’t ask them to take the sign down. We didn’t whine and complain about how they dishonored Jesus. We didn’t beg them to be nice.

We just showed up. That’s it. We showed up on the streets and called them liars. They took down the sign.

It didn’t take a court order. It didn’t require us burning down any building. It didn’t require months of negotiations. We simply showed up. We told them their sign was a lie. They made a weak attempt to defend it. They said, “Anyone who submits to God is a Muslim.” That was all they had.

We never once asked them to take the billboard down. We believe in free-speech. We made them blink. They took the sign down. Light always causes darkness to flee.

Today, I would like to share with you a few take-a-ways from this episode.

Muslims use lies and deceitful practices to advance Islam. Although they call it a “religion of peace,” nothing could be further from the truth. Just like Christianity, Islam has millions of followers who are “cultural Muslims.” Just like we have many “cultural Christians” in America. A “cultural” adherent is often one who was born into the faith and has adopted it because it has been passed down generationally from their parents.

Usually, these followers are shallow. Millions of Muslims are MINO (Muslims in Name Only). They are peaceful and will not fight to death for their faith. They are like millions of Christians, who believe that Christianity is a religion, not a way of life. Just like Christians, many Muslims do not understand what their religion teaches.

True believers, on both sides, tend to be more radical. A devout Christian dies for his faith. A devout Muslim kills for his. We better begin to recognize that difference, and soon. The closer Muslims get to following Mohammed, the more violent they become. The closer Christians emulate Jesus, the more loving they will become. True Christianity is driven by love. True Islam is driven by hate.

One of the signs on the billboard read “MUSLIMS LOVE JESUS TOO.” If that is true, why are the Muslims killing so many of Christ’s followers?

A few pastors did come to our event. Most are from small, country churches that are not swayed by the glitz and glitter of “ministry.” There are thousands of faithful, God-fearing pastors who are willing to lay down their lives for their faith, but they are not unified. They are not networked, but many are awake and aware of what is going on in America.

The “soon coming rapture” theory is paralyzing this nation. Christians will not fight back against evil because they have been taught by their pastors that bad is good, meaning the worse things get, the better it is. That means Jesus’ return is right around the corner. To fight evil is to fight against God. That idea is anathema to Christianity. Jesus said, “Occupy until I return.”

Most Christians only occupy pews. They feel no responsibility to fight for holiness in the world. They ignore all of the action verbs in the Scriptures such as “Go, contend, speak, wrestle, occupy.” If they really believed the end was near, they should be running from house to house compelling man to turn to Christ in order to “flee the wrath to come.” They don’t even follow what they claim to believe.

Showing up does make a difference. Here is the truth. Even though we did not ask them to, the Muslims took down the billboard that read Jesus is Muslim. This shows the power of showing up and speaking out. Once we began to shine the light of the Truth, the Muslims took the lying billboard down. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather. Prayer, mixed with action, does make a difference; just as faith without works is dead, so also prayer without action! God’s not dead. Just show up and let God show off! The Muslims know we are watching.

What is Love? Let me ask you a question, which is a greater demonstration of love? Helping someone after they have been hurt, or preventing them from being hurt? For the most part, our churches are hospitals where the sick are repaired rather than a fortress where God’s soldiers are trained. If helping someone after they are injured is love, isn’t protecting them before they are injured, also love? By speaking the truth to our friends, we can prevent them from being injured rather than helping them be healed. Jesus prayed till blood came out his pores…and then he got up and went…aren’t you glad He did more than pray? Prayer is the power to propel our actions….prayer makes action effectual.

You can’t just pray, and you can’t just go. You must do both. Prayer softens up the enemy, like the air force during battle. Prayer softens up the enemy so that the ground troops can be more effective. Jesus prayed and went, but most Christians only pray, very few go. When you go, the power of prayer can be felt. The idea that God will do for us what we can do for ourselves is misguided. The Word says our faith can move mountains, but sometimes moving the mountain requires us getting a shovel and digging. Why would God end abortion when He gave us the power to end it? Pray and Go. That is the answer.

Most Americans knew very little about Islam before 9/11. If you were like me most of my knowledge of Islam came from the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and Indiana Jones’ journey throughout the Middle East. Since then, the Muslims have been hard at work teaching us some things that simply are not true. Most pastors are frighteningly ignorant of Islam.

Our featured speaker, last Saturday ,was Rev. Rusty Thomas. His fiery speech is posted on our Facebook page. Permit me to summarize some of the great points he made. He addressed Islam from a legal, historical and biblical perspective.

(History) Wherever Islam protests in democratic nations, you will observe signs that expose their ideology. “To Hell with Freedom,” “Down with Democracy,” “Islam Will Rule the World,” and other such signs are common place. Once Islam takes root and grows soon other demands are enacted. Sharia law seeks to supplant the laws of the land in free nations.
Go to any nation where Islam rules and try to find a hint of freedom of speech and religion. You will search in vain. There are only three choices granted in places where Islam dominates. They are: convert, become their slave (Dhimmi), or die. There are no other freedoms, no other choices. Every nation that lets the Islamic camel’s nose into the tent of freedom eventually rues the day.
(Legal) Supreme Court Justice, Joseph Storey, who served the high court from 1811-1845, commenting on the meaning of the First Amendment stated, “The real object of the First Amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance Mohammedanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects [denominations] and to prevent any national ecclesiastical patronage of the national government.”
No other faith, worldview, or philosophy of man is capable of setting men free from the tyranny of sin from within or despotism of men from without. As America resorts back to the brutal darkness of paganism, it is not a coincidence that she is losing her freedoms as well. Islam may very well prove to be a harsh taskmaster to drive home this reality, if our nation does not repent.
(Biblical) No man, religion, worldview, or philosophy has the authority to define or redefine Jesus Christ. He has already revealed Himself in the 66 books that comprise the Holy Bible. God’s Word warns, “Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar” (Proverbs 30:6). Ecclesiastes 3:14 concurs, “I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it that men should fear before Him.” Jesus stated, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39). Every word of the Bible points to Him. He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). No other so-called “holy book” either claims or comes close to this revelation.
If this billboard (Jesus is Muslim) was presented as evidence in a court room, it would be considered perjury. Thus, in the court of public opinion and religious circles, the billboard needs to be judged as slander, heresy, and blasphemy.”

I used to tell my football teams that often the hardest part of winning is simply showing up. We showed up, and they took the billboard down. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I wonder what else would happen if we simply showed up

Egyptian Islamists drag Christian woman from her car and beat her to death

And here we go again, a prime example of the religion of peace and their concept of “coexistence” — courtesy of pro-Morsi (Muslim Brotherhood) Egyptian Islamists in Egypt. According to a report in CNSnews.com, “Eyewitnesses have given a harrowing account of the murder in Cairo of a young Coptic Christian woman, hauled out of her car and beaten and stabbed to death by a Muslim mob, apparently targeted because of a cross hanging from her rear-view mirror.”

The heinous murder occurred in the Cairo suburb of Ain Shams after mosque prayer services on Friday, when police clashed with Muslim Brotherhood supporters angered by army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s decision to run for president.

An eyewitness appearing on “90 Minutes,” a program on the al-Mehwar satellite network, said 25-year-old Mary Sameh George was attacked in her car near a church, where she planned to deliver medicine to an ill and elderly woman. Protestors climbed onto her car, collapsing the roof, then hauled her from the vehicle, beating and mauling her – to the extent, he said, that portions of her scalp were torn off. She was stabbed multiple times, her throat was slit and when she was dead, the mob torched her car.

The death of Mary Sameh George received little coverage in Egyptian newspapers. A wire service report quoted an Interior Ministry spokesman as saying protesters had “stabbed a Christian woman to death,” and blamed the Muslim Brotherhood.

Can it be that the horrific killing of this young woman is just considered “normal?” Simply because she had a cross displayed in her car?

So, for all of you who have a “coexist” bumper sticker displayed on your car (probably a Prius), is this your idea of coexistence? All through the Middle East, Islamists are persecuting and murdering Christians. The objective is region-wide genocide to eradicate the existence of age-old groups of Christians. And most of the Christian communities, like the Copts, existed before the scourge known as Muhammad and Islam came onto the scene.

CNS News reports that the Coptic community was seen to be supportive of the military takeover, and some Morsi supporters vented their anger on Christians, with many churches coming under Islamist attack in an apparently coordinated campaign. We have seen this before in history: Christians becoming scapegoats and therefore targeted and persecuted.

The Australian Coptic Movement Association condemned what it called the “callous, vicious and unprovoked” killing. Mary George was targeted for her faith in what is becoming an increasingly intolerable and inhospitable region for Christians. The Association also urged Western governments “to pay due attention to the extreme and violent agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The documentary “Honor Diaries” depicts how these barbaric savages treat their own women — this incident reflects how they treat non-Muslim women. The Egyptian government has declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. The Obama administration has failed to do so. We should outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood and all its affiliated groups who operate freely here in America.

There is only one means to confront the issue of radical Islamists, and it certainly isn’t the solution of the Obama administration to embrace them. When — WHEN will we awake and stop making excuses for this theocratic-political totalitarian ideology that has brought nothing but violence and terror to the world since the year 622?

Gender Confusion and the Complicity of Public Schools

For students confined in public education camps across the country, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland might now make more sense compared to Little Johnny’s confusing reality at Space Mountain Middle School in Never Never Land, California.

Of course, Little Johnny represents real students, and Space Mountain simply signifies the madness masterminded in actual schools where a growing number of parents and teachers must truly wish the government’s lunacy were only imaginary.

However, unlike Alice, none of the real world’s characters are fortunate enough to be dreaming — at least not those who recognize nonsense and make-believe for what they are.

Common Core alone is a curious nightmare. If the subversive agenda were another strange character in Lewis Carroll’s book, it could easily deliver the Mad Hatter’s line, “You would have to be half mad to dream me up.” Just ask any of the demoralized school children who used to love math (or any of their frustrated parents). No doubt they would all agree with an imaginary character’s wisdom.

On the other hand, when childish fantasies of how some people wish reality would be literally begin to replace logic and order, a counter-productive school curriculum should hardly surprise anyone — not obsessed with Wonderland.

Last week, the national press reported on a 56-year-old high school biology teacher in California who plans to undergo a sex-change operation (i.e. cosmetic surgery) and to return to the classroom appearing as a woman. Sadly, the situation is far more complicated and confusing than advocates of gender confusion or their allies in the media will admit.

Although the American Psychiatric Association dropped the diagnosis of gender identity disorder in 2012, the APA merely renamed the condition gender dysphoria in its manual of mental disorders (the DSM-5). What was the reason for the change? To reduce stigma while maintaining access to medical care.

Understandably, most people suffering from a serious mental illness would like the stigma of their medical conditions to magically disappear. But simply calling “bipolar disorder” “intensely sporadic mood swings” does not remedy a patient’s condition any more than calling “gender identity disorder” “gender dysphoria.” The Mad Hatter might call this a linguistic placebo.

In fact, in a USA Today article on gender confusion, Jack Drescher, a psychiatrist who helped revise the APA’s DSM-5, stated, “[Gender Dysphoria is] different from other mental disorders.”

“Usually with a mental disorder, we try and change the person’s mind. This is the only mental disorder where the treatment is changing the body. In a typical mental disorder, we try to make those symptoms go away. Here the treatment has emerged to align the person’s body to match their gender identity.”

He went on to say, “The truth is we actually don’t know what it is. Is it a mental disorder or does the cause of gender dysphoria lie somewhere else? We don’t know what causes it, so there’s no absolute reason why it has to be in the mental disorders section, except as a fact of history, it’s always been there.” Does Dr. Drescher’s last sentence not sound like one Alice might have encountered among the symbolic nonsense she endured in her dream?

Simply acknowledging that the APA’s own psychiatrists remain vexed by this serious medical condition would generally heighten concerns for most responsible adults. Most youngsters are generally experiencing all sorts of issues related to their own developing identities. Pretending that individuals who exhibit signs of serious mental illness in the classroom are helping impressionable children defies common sense.

Then again, compelling juvenile minds to believe they understand complicated medical conditions that psychiatrists themselves still have not resolved is par for the course. If public schools have succeeded at anything over the last 60 years, they have painfully revealed that they can convince impressionable minds of many things that are just untrue. But so long as students graduate feeling good about their dismal knowledge, subpar reading levels, and their politically correct indoctrination in to absurdity, who cares about reality?

If the media and advocates for gender confusion were interested in reality, the rest of us would see more coverage about psychiatric experts who can explain the seriousness of gender confusion. Dr. Joseph Berger, a distinguished psychiatrist in Toronto, clarifies that gender confused individuals claim “they really are or wish to be people of the sex opposite to which they were born, or to which their chromosomal configuration attests.” The medical classification for those symptoms include the following, according to Dr. Berger: “delusion, psychosis, or emotional unhappiness.” He adds that none of those conditions associated with other mental illnesses call for cosmetic surgery as the medical treatment.

Furthermore, Dr. Paul McHugh, a distinguished professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital, has written, “We psychiatrists, I thought, would do better to concentrate on trying to fix their minds and not their genitalia…to provide a surgical alteration to the body of these unfortunate people [is] to collaborate with a mental disorder rather than to treat it.”

Public education went down the rabbit hole where feelings trumped facts a long time ago. Experimenting with the minds of children by teaching them to ignore reality or teaching them things that are simply untrue is nothing short of brainwashing.

A society that promotes such confusion under the ruse of education is lost. Wishful thinking does not maintain childhood innocence any more than pretending wrong is right. Alice in Wonderland should have taught us that.

When Alice asked the Cat, “How do you know I’m mad?” The Cat responded, “You must be, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Who knew that the Cat’s response would apply to Little Johnny’s public education today?

You Lie: Obama Lying Through His Teeth Again on Obamacare Sign-Up Numbers

Back in 2009, the intrepid Joe Wilson—Republican representative for South Carolina’s 2nd congressional district—was way ahead of his time by laudably interrupting President Barack Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress with his awesome “You lie!” exclamation. Since 2009, all that Obama’s done for the most part has been to pathologically lie to the American people, so Wilson was right on the money. The only thing he did wrong was to apologize to Obama for that outburst, of course.

Now, in 2014, we have more outrageously strong suspicions of yet another Obama lie, this time concerning the questionable Obamacare sign-up numbers. Earlier this week, Obama and White House spokesbrat Jay Carney were rubbing it in everyone’s faces that about seven million Americans did sign up for the widely disapproved train wreck called Obamacare.

“See…see!” they shouted. “We told ya that we would meet the enrollment numbers, so shut the hell up.

Republicans and conservatives!” Naturally, they didn’t phrase it quite like that, but you can bet your last bill of Obama money that that’s exactly what they were thinking. The only problem with this insultingly ludicrous claim and Obama’s and Carney’s audacious bragging is that they’re absolutely full of BS.

Only a few days before April 1, the sign-up numbers were destined to fall WAY below the seven million mark, and then, as if by pure magic, the numbers are suddenly met in a way that completely defies all the laws of probability. So what happened? Did Obama and company actually “Galifianakis” (however you pronounce that train wreck of a name) their way to meeting the mark? Did a bunch of millennials suddenly believe that paying for older, unhealthier Americans was a good deal for them?

No one knows for sure, but you can take an educated guess that Obama and company lied yet again as part of a propaganda campaign to shore up desperately needed support for a piece-of-crap law that has widespread condemnation. Here’s what we do know:

–Just a paltry 23% of those who signed up were uninsured before signing up, according to RAND
–Many who signed up already were insured, but had their policies tyrannically canceled due to the insanely oppressive requirements of Obamacare
–Only about half of those newly insured Americans actually paid their premiums for the first month

What this all means is clearly that an absolutely INSIGNIFICANT number of Americans has legitimately signed up for Obamacare if we hold Obama to his own deceptive standards that some 32 million Americans out of 48 million uninsured Americans would be covered because of Obamacare.

Further, Obama has absolutely no credibility to claim victory when we consider that he has a notorious track record of lie after lie after lie that would actually make a carnival barker seem way more credible. Some of the biggest Obama lies up to this point have been:

–Pledging to halve the U.S. deficit by the end of his first term
–Shutting down Gitmo
–Lowering the costs of healthcare premiums
–Refusing to use national security as an excuse to spy on fellow Americans
–Promising not to hire lobbyists at the White House
–Promising Americans can keep their healthcare plans if they like them
–Promising to defend the U.S. Constitution

This is only a partial list; if I were to list all of the president’s lies, I’d get carpal tunnel syndrome from having to endlessly type all of his lies. The gist is, obviously, that Obama has lied more than any politician ever, which is really saying something since politicians are already synonymous with dishonesty!

So when you take the fact that evidence establishes that the seven million sign-up numbers are, at best, untrustworthy, with the fact that Obama has a track record of pathological lying, you can pretty safely conclude that this seven million number is an utter fraud.

We are Getting Closer to a “Convention of States”

Did Michigan just trigger ‘constitutional convention’? Bid gains steam

WASHINGTON – Momentum is building behind what would be an unprecedented effort to amend the U.S. Constitution, through a little-known provision that gives states rather than Congress the power to initiate changes.

At issue is what’s known as a “constitutional convention,” a scenario tucked into Article V of the U.S. Constitution. At its core, Article V provides two ways for amendments to be proposed. The first – which has been used for all 27 amendment to date – requires two-thirds of both the House and Senate to approve a resolution, before sending it to the states for ratification. The Founding Fathers, though, devised an alternative way which says if two-thirds of state legislatures demand a meeting, Congress “shall call a convention for proposing amendments.”

The idea has gained popularity among constitutional scholars in recent years — but got a big boost last week when Michigan lawmakers endorsed it.

Michigan matters, because by some counts it was the 34th state to do so. That makes two-thirds.

In the wake of the vote, California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter pressed House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday to determine whether the states just crossed the threshold for this kind of convention. Like Michigan lawmakers, Hunter’s interest in the matter stems from a desire to push a balanced-budget amendment — something that could potentially be done at a constitutional convention.

“Based on several reports and opinions, Michigan might be the 34^th state to issue such a call and therefore presents the constitutionally-required number of states to begin the process of achieving a balanced budget amendment,” Hunter wrote.

“With the recent decision by Michigan lawmakers, it is important that the House – and those of us who support a balanced budget amendment — determine whether the necessary number of states have acted and the appropriate role of Congress should this be the case.”

If two-thirds of the states indeed have applied, the ball is presumably in Congress’ court to call the convention.

But Article V is rather vague, and it’s ultimately unclear whether 34 states have technically applied. In the past, states like Oregon, Utah and Arizona have quietly voted to approve the provision in their legislature.

But some of the 34 or so have rescinded their requests. Others have rescinded, and then re-applied.

Alabama rescinded its request in 1988 but in 2011, lawmakers again applied for a convention related to an amendment requiring that the federal budget be balanced. It was a similar story in Florida in 2010.

Louisiana rescinded in 1990 but lawmakers have tried several times, unsuccessfully, to reinstate the application since then.

It’s unclear whether the applications still count in these scenarios.

Some constitutional scholars like Gregory Watson, an analyst in Texas, say once states ask, there may be no take-backs.

“There is a disagreement among scholars as to whether a state that has approved an application may later rescind that application,” Watson told The Washington Times. “If it is ultimately adjudicated that a state may not rescind a prior application, then Ohio’s 2013 application for a Balanced Budget Amendment convention would be the 33^rd and Michigan’s 2014 application would be the 34^th on that topic.”

Others say if a state changes its mind, it can no longer be part of the 34.

Even if the requisite number of states have applied, questions remain about how such a convention would work — and whether, as Michigan wants, such a convention could be limited to only discussing a balanced-budget amendment.

It still may be a long shot, but some analysts are warning about the unintended consequences of such a move.

In Louisiana, Budget Project Policy Analyst Steve Spire argued against the state’s resolution, saying the convention could permanently damage the nation’s political system.

The last time there was a successful amendment was more than four decades ago – the 26^th Amendment which changed the voting age to 18. States ratified the 27^th Amendment on congressional pay increases, but it took more than 200 years to do it.

State elections officials in North Carolina are investigating hundreds of cases of potential voter fraud after identifying thousands of registered voters with personal information matching those of voters who voted in other states in 2012.

Elections Director Kim Strach told state lawmakers at an oversight hearing Wednesday that her staff has identified 765 registered North Carolina voters who appear to have cast ballots in two states during the 2012 presidential election.

Strach said the first names, last names, birthdates and last four digits of their Social Security numbers appear to match information for voters in another state. Each case will now be investigated to determine whether voter fraud occurred.

“Could it be voter fraud? Sure, it could be voter fraud,” Strach said. “Could it be an error on the part of a precinct person choosing the wrong person’s name in the first place? It could be. We’re looking at each of these individual cases.”

WRAL.com reported that 81 residents who died before election day were recorded as casting a ballot. While about 30 of those voters appear to have legally cast ballots before election day, Strach said “there are between 40 and 50 [voters] who had died at a time that that’s not possible.”

“We have the ‘Walking Dead,’ and now we’ve got the ‘Voting Dead,'” said state Sen. Bob Rucho, R-Mecklenburg. “I guess the reason there’s no proof of voter fraud is because we weren’t looking for it.”

Strach cautioned, however, that in several past cases, instances of so-called zombie voters turned out to be the result of clerical errors.

“We’re in the process of looking at each of these to see,” Strach said. “That means either a poll or precinct worker made a mistake and marked the wrong person, or someone voted for them. That’s something we can’t determine until we look into each case.”

A law passed last year by the Republican-dominated state legislature required elections staff to check information for North Carolina’s more than 6.5 million voters against a database containing information for 101 million voters in 28 states.

The cross-check found listings for 35,570 North Carolina voters whose first names, last names and dates of birth match those of voters who voted in other states. However, in those cases middle names and Social Security numbers were not matched.

The analysis also found 155,692 registered North Carolina voters whose information matched voters registered in other states but who most recently registered or voted elsewhere. Strach said those were most likely voters who moved out of state without notifying their local boards of elections.

Republicans leaders immediately touted the preliminary report as evidence they were justified in approving sweeping elections changes last year that include requiring voters to present photo ID at the polls, cutting days from the period for early voting and ending a popular civics program that encouraged high school students to pre-register to vote in advance of their 18th birthdays.

“That is outrageous. That is criminal. That is wrong, and it shouldn’t be allowed to go any further without substantial investigations from our local district attorneys who are the ones charged with enforcing these laws,” state Sen. Thom Goolsby, R-Wilmington, told the Charlotte Observer.

State House Speaker Thom Tillis, R-Mecklenburg, and Senate Leader Phil Berger, R-Rockingham, issued a joint statement Wednesday on what they termed as the “alarming evidence.”

“While we are alarmed to hear evidence of widespread voter error and fraud, we are encouraged to see the common-sense law passed to ensure voters are who they say they are is working,” said the statement. “These findings should put to rest ill-informed claims that problems don’t exist and help restore the integrity of our elections process.”

However, other states using the cross-check system have yielded relatively few criminal prosecutions for voter fraud once the cases were thoroughly investigated.

Only 11 people were prosecuted on allegations of double-voting as a result of the 15 states that performed similar database checks following the 2010 elections, according to data compiled by elections officials in Kansas, where the cross-check program originated.

Bob Hall, director of the non-profit group Democracy North Carolina, cautioned officials not to jump to conclusions based on the preliminary database check.

“I know there is more than one Bob Hall with my birth date who lives among the 28 states researched,” Hall said. “There may be cases of fraud, but the true scale and conspiracy involved need to be examined more closely before those with political agendas claim they’ve proven guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Voting rights advocate Bob Phillips of Common Cause NC told WRAL.com that while he is concerned about the report, it still doesn’t justify requiring voters to present photo ID at the polls.

“I think a lot of [lawmakers] are saying, ‘Aha, this proves what we did,'” Phillips said. “But if I have an ID, how is that going to stop me from voting in North Carolina if I’ve already voted in Florida?”

Bobby Jindal’s Blueprint for Health Care Reform

This morning, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal released a 23-page health reform plan that would repeal the current health law known as Obamacare and replace it with a series of market-based reforms.

“Repealing all of Obamacare is a good and necessary step—but not one sufficient by itself to achieve the real health reform America needs,” said the three-page executive summary of Jindal’s plan.

Jindal, who told The Foundry last week he was thinking about a presidential run in 2016, said his plan would lower health care costs, protect the most vulnerable members of society, and offer more insurance choice and portability—all while avoiding the mandates and requirements that are part of Obamacare.

Among the reforms, Jindal proposes:

Changing the tax code to give all individuals the same standard deduction for health insurance;
Creating a grant pool of $100 billion over 10 years that would allow states to create insurance exchanges with greater flexibility than the ones available through Obamacare;
Guaranteeing people with pre-existing conditions access to the new state exchanges;
Strengthening conscience protections for businesses and medical providers as well as restricting federal funding of abortions;
Introducing a premium support system into Medicare, the federal health program for seniors and the disabled; and
Allowing Americans to buy insurance across state lines.

Nina Owcharenko, director of The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies, said Jindal’s plan reinforces that conservative lawmakers have a long-established record of providing policy ideas for health reform. Owcharenko notes that:

The plan offers a constructive blueprint for getting health care reform back on track. Of course, while the scope and technical details may vary, the Jindal plan, like other conservative alternative proposals, moves health care toward more patient-centered, market-based health care and away from the government-centered, regulatory approach of Obamacare.

Jindal, in a recent interview with The Foundry, stressed that conservatives must promote pro-growth policy ideas to win in upcoming elections.

“We need to have the courage of our convictions,” he said to Genevieve Wood, a senior contributor to The Foundry. “If we really believe that conservative principles help every son and daughter, every child, every American join and thrive in the middle class, we need to go and fight for that, show that, and prove that. And the reality is our ideas do work.”

Thursday update: Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), who has been defending her support for Obamacare ahead of the mid-term elections, hit back at Jindal’s plan last night on Twitter by arguing that the governor had “trotted out the same old tired, ineffective gimmicks.”

“Louisianans are tired of being guinea pigs for Jindal’s vanity run for president,” tweeted Landrieu, who recently co-authored an op-ed in Politico calling for fixes in Obamacare. “He should stay home [and] do the job voters elected him to do.”

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) introduced legislation Tuesday aimed at preventing “known terrorists” from entering the U.S. to serve as U.N. envoys in New York.

“It is unconscionable that, in the name of international diplomatic protocol, the United States would be forced to host a foreign national who showed a brutal disregard for the status of our diplomats when they were stationed in his country,” Cruz told the Senate.

The move comes several months after Iranian President Hasan Rouhani nominated a diplomat named Hamid Aboutalebi as Iran’s next representative to the U.N. in New York and filed a visa application.

Aboutalebi allegedly belonged to a group of student radicals loyal to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran after the Islamic revolution, and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days in 1979-1981.

Aboutalebi, who has served as an Iranian ambassador to several European countries and Australia, denies involvement in the embassy takeover, but admits being present at the occupied mission, where he says he was used as a translator.

Cruz quoted President Carter as saying in his 1980 State of the Union address that the captivity of the hostages was “an act of international terrorism.”

Under the existing statute, Cruz pointed out, the president has the discretion to reject an applicant for a U.N. representative post who has engaged in espionage against the U.S. and poses a national security threat.

Cruz’ legislation would add that someone who has engaged in terrorism against the U.S. must also be denied a visa.

“How would we feel, for example, if the Taliban had sent Osama bin Laden to be an ambassador to the United Nations from Afghanistan? Or how would we feel if some other country sent an ambassador who was complicit in the terrorist attack that murdered 220 Marines, 18 sailors and three soldiers in Beirut in 1983?”

“How would we feel if another country sent as ambassador someone who was complicit in the terrorist attack on Khobar Towers [in Saudi Arabia] that murdered 19 airmen in 1996, to name but a few potential examples?”

“None of these examples would necessarily meet the current statutory requirement of having engaged in espionage,” he said. “They murdered, or kidnapped, or tortured innocent Americans but they didn’t necessarily engage in a specific act of espionage. But all, unequivocally, should be excluded.”

“This legislation would ensure that such people can never use the United Nations to gain entry into the United States.”

Cruz expressed hope that the Senate could take bipartisan action on his bill within days.

He went on to question Rouhani’s decision to nominate Aboutalebi, calling it “willfully, deliberately insulting and contemptuous.”

It should be a wake-up call, he said – “the regime in Iran is directed by the same policies that resulted in the hostage crisis in the first place.”

Cruz also questioned the Obama administration’s optimistic view that Rouhani was “somehow a moderate,” acting in good faith in the nuclear negotiations, and that Iran was softening its position towards the West.

“This nomination should dispel those illusions, because the professed optimism of this administration flies in the face of reason.”

‘We don’t discuss individual visa cases’

The statute Cruz’s legislation aims to amend, Public Law 101–246 of 1990, states that the president may deny a visa to a U.N. representative if it is determined that “such individual has been found to have been engaged in espionage activities directed against the United States or its allies and may pose a threat to United States national security interests.”

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf declined to comment on Aboutalebi’s nomination or discuss his visa application at press briefings on Monday and again on Tuesday.

“The visa procedure is obviously confidential, we don’t discuss individual visa cases,” she said.

“People are free to apply for one and their visas are adjudicated under the normal procedures that we adjudicate peoples’, and we don’t make a prediction about what the outcome of that process might look like.”

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton called Rouhani’s nomination of Aboutalebi “a thumb in the eye of the United States.”

“This is really Iran’s ambassador in America, since they have no direct diplomatic ties, and I think it’s intended to show that this regime, despite some of the P.R. moves we’ve heard about it, is still the same fundamentally anti-American regime it’s been since 1979,” he told Fox News on Tuesday.

“Personally I think Iran should either be expelled or suspended under the U.N. Charter because it is not a peace loving state,” Bolton said. “I have no hesitation at all in saying we should deny a visa to this individual. There is no chance the Obama administration will do that because they’ll fear its consequences for the nuclear negotiations.”

Muslim Terrorist Groups Organize New Political Party to Overtake America

The Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist organization that the Obama regime refuses to admit that they are terrorists, is ramping up its efforts to infiltrate the American way of life, making Shariah law be held above the very document and set of laws upon which this country was built – the Constitution.

Investors Business Daily (IBD) reports on a very disturbing effort by a group that is attempting to sell itself as simply a Muslim coalition. The Muslim Brotherhood is working actively towards developing a third political party, “turning Muslims into an Islamic voting bloc.”

‘Muslim voters have the potential to be swing voters in 2016,” said Nihad Awad in launching the benign-sounding U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations, whose membership reads like a Who’s Who of Brotherhood front groups.

“We are aiming to bring more participation from the Muslim community.”

USCMO also aims to elect Islamists in Washington, with the ultimate objective of “institutionalizing policies” favorable to Islamists — that is, Shariah law.

This development bears careful monitoring in light of the U.S. Brotherhood’s recently exposed goal to wage a “civilization jihad” against America that explicitly calls for infiltrating the U.S. political system and “destroying (it) from within.”

The subversive plan was spelled out in hundreds of pages of founding archives that the FBI confiscated from a Brotherhood leader’s home in the Washington suburbs after 9/11.

Translated from Arabic, the secret documents listed a number of Brotherhood front organizations — some of which just happen to make up the newly formed USCMO.

Among the groups involved in this attempted takeover of the American political system and destruction of America as we know it is the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). This group is been directly linked to the terrorist group Hamas not just in the way of verbal support, but financial support as well.

Another group is the Muslim American Society, described as “the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.” According to Investors, his group praised Osama bin Laden as “a visionary who believed in an Islamic state in Afghanistan.”

That’s right, the man responsible for the death of so many Americans at the hands of Muslim terrorists described as a ‘visionary’ by a group that wants to take over the American political system.

The article continues to reveal just how dangerous and disturbing this plan to form a new Islamist party truly is. Oussama Jammal, the chair of the new party, led a mosque in Obama’s hometown of Chicago named Bridgeview Mosque. The history of this mosque, and the fact that its leader is attempting to infiltrate the American political system, should send a chill down the spine of Americans everywhere.

One of that mosque’s leaders was arrested and jailed for funneling millions to Hamas. And one of its most honored guests was bin Laden’s spiritual mentor, the late Palestinian cleric Abdullah Azzam. Some of Azzam’s relatives are Bridgeview members.

“The walls were covered with Hamas posters and recruiting literature showing masked gunmen brandishing automatic weapons. . . . You could see daggers plunged into Jewish hearts wrapped up in American flags,” said Steve Emerson, describing the mosque in his book “American Jihad.” “They even had a library filled with terrorist videos.”

As Bridgeview’s president, Jammal blasted the FBI for arresting terrorist members and even expressed doubts that al-Qaida was responsible for 9/11.

Not to worry. As head of the USCMO, he’ll see to it that the council places “premium” importance “on defining the common good based on the Quran and the model of the prophet (Muhammad), and coordinating institutions to implement that common good in American society.

IBD reports that the group has a 30 point policy platform for “promoting Islam’s core universal principles to benefit American society.” A $3500 yearly payment is required of any Muslim who wants the ability to vote within the group and $1000 if one wants to merely join.

This is definitely a development that must be watched. The purpose of this planned Muslim political party is certainly not to simply give Muslims a voice, but rather is part of their plan of worldwide domination and dismantling of America and the United States Constitution.

Success? Only 1.7% of Previously Uninsured Are Covered Under Obamacare

The whole stated purpose of Obamacare was to provide a way for the uninsuredto get insurance through the use of government mandates and fines. When the Democrats were campaigning for Obamacare, they’d drone on about how many uninsured people there were as a way to tug at America’s heartstrings the same way they pretended to care about the kids who died in Sandy Hook, while turning a blind eye to the tens of millions of unborn babies who have been murdered for their own good.

Millions of insurance cancellations and premium hikes later (and how could we forget the website that was put together by a couple 6th graders), all they have to show for is a tiny group of people that has actually enrolled in an Obamacare exchange and paid their first premium.

News of the disastrous numbers comes as nervous Democrats and President Barack Obama, ahead of the November midterm elections, did their best on Monday’s enrollment deadline to put a positive spin on the deeply unpopular Obamacare program. The latest Associated Press poll finds that Obamacare has now hit an all-time low approval rating of just 26 percent.

The White House now claims an Obamacare enrollment figure of six million people. However, according to The New York Times, at least 20% of those never paid their premiums to activate coverage, leaving them uninsured. That drops the number down to 4.8 million.

Next, as Washington Post columnist Ed Rogers notes, “the official HHS numbers still include duplicate enrollments.” No one knows how many duplicate enrollments are in the stack; the White House refuses to say. However, given the disastrous Obamacare website failures, it is reasonable to imagine that the pile is riddled with numerous “false start” applications.

That leaves the most important question: How many people are gaining insurance who were previously uninsured? After all, that was the stated reason for Obamacare in the first place. McKinsey & Co. says that only 27% of those who have picked a plan through Obamacare were previously uninsured.

Moreover, McKinsey says these individuals have an unusually high rate of failing to pay their first month’s premium. “Only 53 percent of them had paid their first premium, compared with 86 percent of the previously insured,” reports CNBC.

Even conceding the White House its alleged six million enrollment figure (which, again, includes duplicates and incomplete applications), that would mean that just 810,000 of paying Obamacare customers were previously uninsured, a figure that represents 1.7% of America’s 48.6 million uninsured people.

1.7%? That sounds like an utter failure, especially considering that several million people’s insurance policies were canceled or had their premiums hiked thanks to the “Affordable” “Care” Act. Liberals keep asking, “You don’t like Obamacare? Do you have a better plan?” Yes. How about repealing the whole thing and replacing it with nothing? We don’t need more government rules, regulations, fines and mandates. Healthcare would be a lot better and more affordable if government got out of the way. Any time they involve themselves in areas they don’t belong, it always drives the cost way up and the quality way down.

President Obama said yesterday:

“The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. … In the end, history is not kind to those who would deny Americans their basic economic security. Nobody remembers well those who stand in the way of America’s progress or our people. And that’s what the Affordable Care Act represents. As messy as it’s been sometimes, as contentious as it’s been sometimes, it is progress.

What Republican will stand up today and say something like this:

“No, Mr. President. No way, Mr. President. We do not accept, we do not acquiesce in, this deplorable piece of legislation. The debate is not over. The debate will continue. It must continue. What is at stake is sound health care policy for America. But what is also at stake is reversing your attempt, Mr. President, to transform a free country committed to limited government into merely another nation burdened with the worst aspects of big-government nanny-statism.’

“Mr. President, you have been elected our 44th president. We of course accept that, and we understand that you will continue to fight for your legislation and threaten to veto attempts to repeal and replace it.

But we do not accept that you get to decide that the debate is over.
We do not accept that you acquire any moral authority by claiming to enlist “history” on your side.
We do not accept that your attempt to expand welfare state at the expense of individual liberty and the rule of law is true “progress.”‘

“President Obama, you might wish the debate were over. You might think you can intimidate us into conceding the debate is over. But you are wrong. The Republican party stands committed, acting through democratic means and as the agent of a self-governing people, to repealing and replacing Obamacare.”

I don’t see anyone standing.

Three Quarters of Enrollees in Obamacare to See Premiums Rise

The Affordable Care Act, which the president promised would reduce the typical American family’s health insurance by $2,500 per year, has in fact raised insurance costs for three-quarters of Obamacare policy holders, according to the CEO of the Cleveland Clinic.

In June of 2008, Barack Obama promised, “It’s time to bring down the typical family’s premium by about $2,500. And it’s time to bring down the costs for the entire country.” Moreover, four months later in October he said, “The only thing we’re gonna try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed on to you. And we estimate we can cut the average family’s premium by about $2,500 a year.”

Indeed, Obama promised it many times, but Dr. Toby Cosgrove says it’s simply not true. “About three-quarters of them find that their premiums are higher than they had been previously with other insurance,” Cosgrove told Fox News.

Furthermore, Dr. Cosgrove asserted that Obamacare is having a “major effect” upon health care providers. “We know for example that we’re going to get paid less for what we do,” the doctor explained. “Hospitals are going to be paid less for what they do. We also know that insurers are paying less for what we do.”

Meanwhile, on Monday, the last day of open enrollment for Obamacare and much like the first day of open enrollment, the federal website HealthCare.gov was shut down for several hours.

A 21-year-old Afghanistan veteran claims she was denied a job in Macy’s specifically because of her service in the war-torn nation.

Kayla Reyes says she interviewed for a job on the sales floor at Fresno’s Fashion Fair mall in February but was told that she wouldn’t be able to relate to customers because she had seen combat.

Reyes, who enlisted in the military at the age of 17, claims that the interview took a turn for the worse when her 4-year army career came up and that the hiring manager said, ‘Being that you’ve been over there, you wouldn’t really know how to approach people.’

Stunned, Reyes said the manager continued and said that having spent a year dealing with IED’s and the Taliban, ‘Once a customer’s in your face, you wouldn’t know how to do it. You wouldn’t know how to react.’

Collecting herself, Reyes said that when she realized the hiring manager had serious misconceptions, she tried to object.

However, Reyes said that instead of listening, the Macy’s manager insisted that a role in store security was probably better suited for her.

‘She’s like, ‘Well I’ve been here 15 years, I know you wouldn’t be able to do good here.’ She’s like, ‘There’s another job in loss prevention,’ and she was like, ‘That’s what you’re good for–that’s what you do,’ Reyes said to CBS.

California: Reyes has said that when she applied for a job at Fresno’s Fashion Fair mall in February the interviewing manager said that an army career did not mean she was qualified for a sales position on the floor

Having returned from her deployment to enlist in the National Guard, Reyes said that she was disappointed by her treatment and took to Facebook to share her experience.

‘It kind of shocked me because I’m with her almost every day. I talk to her on a daily basis, and she’s the most social person I know,’ said Justine Williams, Reyes’s best friend, in reaction to the response Reyes received.

Her update was shared tens of thousands of times and Reyes received messages of support from across the country.

Macy’s released a statement regarding the incident last month.

‘Employing veterans is a priority at Macy’s, and we have proudly hired thousands to work within our stores and corporate organization,’ said Betsy Nelson, Macy’s vice president of media.

‘Our commitment to veterans is strong, as we recognize that veterans possess leadership skills that we find are essential in a dynamic department store environment.

‘Ms. Reyes’ application for a position with Macy’s is, in fact, still under consideration as we continue to consider the types of retail jobs that may be available.

‘We are actively looking for an appropriate open position that would be best suited for her skills and experience level, as we do with all prospective employees.’

Discrimination? Reyes took to Facebook to express her frustration and the posting was shared thousands of times – leading to a response from Macy’s

Reyes claims that a Macy’s representative contacted after her story was shared across the Internet and offered her job.

However, Reyes claims that she turned the job down and accepted a position with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

At a Fresno military recruitment office, Navy veteran Megan Newman told CBS that those with army experience have many transferable skills.

‘They set you up to guide employers and see you not just as a member of the military but as someone with transferable experience,’ said Newman.

Seeking to clarify the situation, Macy’s posted again on Friday to their own Facebook page to deny discrimination against Reyes.

‘As a company that stands for inclusion in the workplace and our stores, we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind.

‘As with any prospective employee, we actively looked for appropriate and available positions that would be best suited for Ms. Reyes’ skills and experience level, and, in fact, identified and offered her a job at our store. We were disappointed when she declined.’

Reyes replied to this stating, ‘Correct. A few weeks after the interview and after this story went viral, I did receive an email for a job there.

‘I was very respectful in my response to them. I did not feel comfortable working in a store where a job was offered to me because of the way this has all turned out.

‘I have kept my military bearings throughout this entire situation. Thank you. Spc. Reyes Kayla.’

(CNSNews.com) – Rev. Franklin Graham said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was right to enforce a law to protect Russian children from gay propaganda, adding that President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder were wrong about homosexuality and have “turned their backs on God and His standards, and many in the Congress are following the administration’s lead.”

Rev. Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and is the son of the world-renowned preacher Billy Graham, made his remarks in a commentary in the March issue of Decision magazine, which is published by BGEA.

Graham noted that the Russian law is designed to protect children by banning the “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors,” and that “America’s response to Putin’s law was sadly predictable.”

“President Obama intentionally included homosexuals in his official U.S. delegation to Sochi [Olympics],” said Graham. “Then his attorney general stole headlines from the opening weekend with an announcement to the Human Rights Campaign” that as “far as the federal government is concerned, there is no longer any difference between traditional and same-sex marriage – even in the 33 states that outlaw those marriages.”

“It’s obvious that President Obama and his administration are pushing the gay-lesbian agenda in America today and have sold themselves completely to that which is contrary to God’s teaching,” said Graham.

“Isn’t it sad, though, that America’s own morality has fallen so far that on this issue – protecting children from any homosexual agenda or propaganda – Russia’s standard is higher than our own?” said the reverend. Putin may be wrong on many issues, he continued, “but he has taken a stand to protect his nation’s children from the damaging effects of any gay and lesbian agenda.”

“Our president and his attorney general have turned their backs on God and His standards, and many in the Congress are following the administration’s lead,” said Graham. “This is shameful. The world used to look to America for moral leadership. But those days are long gone. “

In conclusion, he said, “Today, we’ve abdicated our moral leadership. We defeated communism, only to relax and see secularism and progressives take over our country. Secularism is as godless as communism. Secularists and progressives have taken over our schools, media, and local and federal government. And it has all happened in the twinkling of an eye.”

Has the United States ever experienced a time when a foreign nation has attempted to buy up so much of our land all at once? As you will read about in this article, the Chinese are on a real estate buying spree all over America. In fact, in some cases large chunks of land are actually being given to them. Yes, you read that correctly. China is on the way to becoming the dominant land owner in the entire country, and that is starting to alarm a lot of people. Do we really want a foreign superpower to physically own so much of our territory?

There are some that are playing down this threat by making a distinction between the Chinese government and Chinese corporations, but things work differently over in China than they do here. In China, the government is involved in everything. In fact, 43 percent of all corporate profits in China are produced by companies that the Chinese government controls. And all of the rest of the companies are very careful to follow the lead and direction of the Chinese government.

That is why what is going on in places such as Thomasville, Alabama is so alarming. Small communities such as Thomasville are so starved for jobs that they are willing to give land away for free to Chinese companies in order to entice them to build factories…

Gov. Robert Bentley said Friday that he will announce an economic development project in Thomasville, Ala., Monday morning.

That project is likely a copper tube plant to be built by Golden Dragon Precise Copper Tube Group. A legal notice published Thursday indicates that the city of Thomasville and others intend to give land and other incentives to GD Copper USA, which state corporation records identify as a Florida-based subsidiary of Golden Dragon.

And in this particular case, we are not just talking about a small plot of land. We are talking about a 40 acre chunk of land worth 1.5 million dollars…

The legal notice indicated the city plans to give Golden Dragon a 40-acre site. Thomasville Mayor Sheldon Day has said that land is in a city industrial park south of Thomasville High School. It includes a $1.5 million, 50,000-square-foot building that the city constructed in 2009 to attract businesses.

But in most cases, the Chinese actually have to spend money to acquire our real estate. And they are starting to make some really high profile acquisitions in some of our most expensive cities…

China Vanke and Tishman Speyer signed a deal for a $620 million luxury condo project in San Francisco this winter. In April, another deal for a cool $1.5 billion was inked in Oakland between Zarsion and Signature Development Group.

In June, several big deals in New York City went down. Zhang Xin, CEO of Soho China , joined forces with the wealthy Safra family (of Banco Safra fame) of Brazil to buy a stake in the General Motors Building in Midtown, The New York Times reported on June 25. Dalian Wanda Group, another Chinese developer, is planning to build a greenfield luxury hotel in Manhattan.

In other cases, the Chinese are gaining control over vast tracts of U.S. territory by buying up our large corporations.

For example, when the Chinese purchased Smithfield Foods, they suddenly owned 460 large farms and became the top employer in dozens of communities all over the United States…

Smithfield Foods is the largest pork producer and processor in the world. It has facilities in 26 U.S. states and it employs tens of thousands of Americans. It directly owns 460 farms and has contracts with approximately 2,100 others. But now a Chinese company has bought it for $4.7 billion, and that means that the Chinese will now be the most important employer in dozens of rural communities all over America.
And the Chinese seem to have a particular interest in economically-depressed areas of the country. Perhaps they feel that now is the time to gobble up companies and properties in such areas for bargain-basement prices. For instance, the following is from a CNBC article that detailed how the Chinese are aggressively “putting down roots in Detroit”…

Dozens of companies from China are putting down roots in Detroit, part of the country’s steady push into the American auto industry.

Chinese-owned companies are investing in American businesses and new vehicle technology, selling everything from seat belts to shock absorbers in retail stores, and hiring experienced engineers and designers in an effort to soak up the talent and expertise of domestic automakers and their suppliers.

Speaking of Michigan, one company known as “Sino-Michigan Properties LLC” actually had plans to buy up 200 acres of land near the town of Milan, Michigan. The goal was to build an entire “China City” with artificial lakes, a Chinese cultural center and hundreds of housing units for Chinese citizens.

But that is nothing compared to the “China City” that was being planned for New York state. The following is a short excerpt from one of my previous articles…

The Chinese have made trillions of dollars flooding our shores with super cheap products, and now they are using some of that money to buy land and property all over America. For example, there is now a proposal to construct a multibillion dollar “China City” that would span approximately 600 acres in a remote area of New York state. This “China City” (that is actually what it would be called) would be located on Yankee Lake in Sullivan County, New York. The plans anticipate large numbers of Chinese businesses, plenty of homes for Chinese immigrants, a Chinese high school, a college, a casino and even a theme park. And the first 600 acres is only for “phase one” of the plan. Ultimately, the goal is for “China City” to cover more than 2,000 acres. Those promoting this plan say that it will be a great way for New Yorkers to learn to appreciate Chinese culture.

But of much greater concern is the huge wave of real estate purchases that are quietly happening all around us every single day.

The following is from a recent CNBC article entitled “Chinese buying up California housing“…

At a brand new housing development in Irvine, Calif., some of America’s largest home builders are back at work after a crippling housing crash. Lennar, Pulte, K Hovnanian, Ryland to name a few. It’s a rebirth for U.S. construction, but the customers are largely Chinese.

“They see the market here still has room for appreciation,” said Irvine-area real estate agent Kinney Yong, of RE/MAX Premier Realty. “What’s driving them over here is that they have this cash, and they want to park it somewhere or invest somewhere.”
So what happens when we get to the point when the Chinese government and/or Chinese citizens own 10 percent of all the real estate in the entire country?

Will it be a problem then?

What about if we get to 20 percent or 30 percent?

At what point will we be forced to admit that we have a major problem on our hands?

Many of our leaders seem resigned to the fact that the future will be dominated by communist China.

For example, the President of the St. Louis Federal Reserve recently stated that “attitudes in the U.S. are going to have to change” because America “will not permanently be the global leader”…

That’s according to Federal Reserve Board of St. Louis President James Bullard, who spoke to the Wall Street Journal on the sidelines of a conference during a recent visit to Hong Kong.

“Attitudes in the U.S. are going to have to change, because the U.S. will not permanently be the global leader,” Mr. Bullard said. In fact, Bullard insists that it is inevitable that the U.S. will end up playing second fiddle to communist China…

In that case, “the U.S. would be playing a role to China similar to the role the U.K. plays to the U.S. today,” Mr. Bullard said. “People think it’s 50-75 years away but it’s probably only 25 or 20 years away, something like that.”
And this is one of the guys that is running the U.S. economy?

There is more than one way to dominate your enemy, and the Chinese understand this.

Sadly, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is happening.

In a recent article, I discussed something called the communist peace offensive. I highlighted the relationship between our current organizer in chief and the radical tactics of his messiah, Saul Alinsky. While Saul Alinsky claimed to hate the communists for the way they abused their power and slaughtered innocent people, his tactics did none other than secure this type of power for those that implemented them. After all, his admitted objective was the obtaining of power and not letting it go under any circumstances. The belief that the ends justified the means gave those seeking this power the “moral imperative,” because they believe, through their innate “elitism and wisdom,” they can ultimately create a perfect society, to carry their ideology out to its logical conclusion. I also pointed out the relationship between the tactics of Alinsky and amply named “communist peace offensive,” which, in essence, is a decades old plan to convince Americans that their culture and government are responsible for the world’s suffering, and world communism would be the much desired solution in seeking out “peace.”

There is a great deal more to this than can really be explained in one article. There are so many different elements that have contributed to the psychological conditioning that has conned people into accepting totalitarianism as the “new freedom.” For instance, many people do not know that Betty Friedan, the founder of modern day feminism, was a member of the Communist Party and that she deliberately set about teaching women they were oppressed by the patriarchal, male dominated society which sought to subjugate women by keeping them barefoot and pregnant.
Today, one of the core beliefs of the feminists is that the hormone testosterone is responsible for the world’s wars and only by feminizing and dumbing down men can there ever be “world peace.” That’s nothing but communist propaganda folks, and it goes a long way in explaining why we have men running around in pink high tops, putting hair spray in their hair and wearing jeans so tight they can barely walk. The feminist movement has destroyed masculinity, plain and simple.

The sad truth of the situation, however, is that we have been deceived on a grand scale, and much of this deception revolves around the “communist peace offensive.” It is the perfect explanation of the application of Hegel’s dialectic being put in motion by the infiltration of two political parties who play the role of opposition one another, yet are stealthily advancing the vision of Vladimir Lenin and his quest for world socialism.

I am going to draw on two relevant examples, both of which are having a major impact in policy initiatives on a global scale. They are both subjects I have written about extensively, though I feel the need to better define my position and refine my point. These two examples are the United Nations Small Arms Treaty, and the Common Core curriculum. If you have never read any of my articles before, I suggest you sit down because some of this is difficult to digest.

First, I will touch on Common Core. There are few American presidents who have inspired the feelings of pride and patriotism that most conservative Americans feel like Dwight Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan. The sad truth is that Eisenhower, and then later Reagan, both signed agreements with the Soviet Union that would ensure a smooth transition in forging the two nations into one, communist entity. This is according to Charlotte Iserbyt in her book The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America. Iserbyt was once a senior official in the Reagan Department of Education and her book is more of a paper trail of evidence than anything else. You will have to examine the evidence for yourself and make up your own mind. No one will argue, however, that Common Core education is a deliberate attempt to make our children compliant, global citizens, unable to think for themselves. Reducing America to a pansy state, in the eyes of the communists, is imperative because they have been conditioning people to believe we are the problem and communism is the solution. Education, psychological conditioning, and indoctrination into secular humanism are methods in which we have been “psychologically disarmed.” We are, in theory, only a couple of generations away from a population that would voluntarily get on the trains to their own demise. If you doubt this, just ask your local college students how much they know about the Constitution and American history.
The next point, about the current efforts to disarm America, is equally disheartening as another prominent American president; John F. Kennedy is at the center of attention. Look, whether you are a liberal or a conservative, you would have to be a bonafide idiot not to see what Barrack Obama is doing to our military. Again, this is the communist peace offensive folks.

Remember, one of the 45 communist goals discusses the need to develop the illusion that America’s willful disarmament is a sign of strength. Obama is dismantling our weapons programs folks, and not a whimper about it is being heard. The main point is that the communists would love to see America’s military might dismantled, and the rise of a U.N. military force takes its place. Everything revolves around this, and they have made great progress since President Kennedy signed public law 87-297. This law is called the Arms Control and Disarmament Act and has set in motion the systematic process in which our national leaders have since been dismantling the military.

Here’s the best part; seeing as though the loss of our military will mean the complete loss of sovereignty, the need to disarm the people comes first. Enter the U.N. Small Arms Treaty. Before the final move against our armed forces is made, there will be a move for our firearms. What I see developing is a fabricated threat of nuclear war, and the U.N. posing as the world’s savior, in an attempt to further the “psychological disarming” of the citizenry, and the need to merge the U.S. into one global government. Hey, I’m just a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist.

As you can see my friends, the state of affairs in which we currently find ourselves is the culmination of decades of socialist incrementalism. The correct term for this is “Fabian Socialism,” the belief that a culture can be changed by steadily seeking to change values and opinions of an unsuspecting population. Seeing as though America is a society that thrives on entertainment, keeping us distracted with “meaningless nothings” that appeal to our fragile egos, has been an easy thing to do. Some will call me names and attempt to ridicule me. Those who can see what I’m talking about in the very nature of today’s generation, the manner in which they callously disregard what their fathers and grandfathers have fought to secure for them, their entitlement attitudes and their foolish belief that America is what’s wrong with the world, will know I’m right.

Condoleezza Rice Takes on Obama

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice – our last competent Secretary of State – has been aggressive in criticizing President Obama’s failed foreign policy. And she has the experience and expertise to do so with authority. While nobody really expects the Obama administration or most Democrats in Congress to pay Dr. Rice any heed, the Republican Party better be listening and raise its collective voice against the dangerous path that Obama is taking this country down.

Dr. Rice is particularly concerned with the “vacuum” in world leadership resulting from the Obama administration’s leading from behind policies. The vacuum is being filled by the likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin. As Dr. Rice wrote in an op-ed article appearing in the Washington Post on March 7^th, “dictators and extremists across the globe will be emboldened” if the United States abandons muscular diplomacy and eschews its global responsibilities as the leader of the free world.

The Obama administration’s attempt to extend “hands of friendship to our adversaries, sometimes at the expense of our friends,” such as the administration’s “reset” button with Russia, has obviously not worked, Dr. Rice has pointed out.

For those who might say that Condoleezza Rice is hypocritically skipping over Russia’s push into Georgia in 2008 during the presidency of George W. Bush while she criticizes the Obama administration’s ineffectiveness in dealing with the Ukraine crisis, Rice set the record straight in her op-ed article:

After Russia invaded Georgia in 2008, the United States sent ships into the Black Sea, airlifted Georgian military forces from Iraq back to their home bases and sent humanitarian aid. Russia was denied its ultimate goal of overthrowing the democratically elected government, an admission made to me by the Russian foreign minister.

But even those modest steps did not hold. Despite Russia’s continued occupation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the diplomatic isolation waned and then the Obama administration’s ‘reset’ led to an abrupt revision of plans to deploy missile defense components in the Czech Republic and Poland.

President Obama said last week in The Hague that he was “much more concerned when it comes to our security with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan” than he was about any threat from Russia. Fair enough, but Obama’s agreement to fruitless negotiations with Iran and easing the pressure of sanctions in the meantime, while Iran advances its nuclear arms and missile delivery programs, is making that nightmare more likely. So is his failure to deal adequately with the spread of al Qaeda and its affiliates throughout the Middle East and Africa, as well as the infiltration of Iran’s proxy Hezbollah in Latin America. And rather than worry about the real threat of nuclear and chemical weapons of mass destruction in the hands of terrorists as the most significant threat to homeland security, why is Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry foolishly declaring that “climate change can now be considered the world’s largest weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction?”

Dr. Rice expressed particular concern that withdrawing U.S. troops from Afghanistan without a reasonable amount of residual military presence may repeat the disastrous aftermath of the Obama administration’s precipitous decision to withdraw all American troops from Iraq. Al Qaeda returned with a vengeance to launch widespread lethal attacks in Iraq and threaten its viability after they had been largely defeated as a result of the successful surge that President George W. Bush had ordered in the face of opposition by then Senator Obama, John Kerry and many other members of the Democratic Party of Defeat.

Addressing more than two thousand people attending the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual dinner on March 26^th, Dr. Rice also warned about the dangerous consequences of a shrinking military budget:

Our values and our interests require defense. As Ronald Reagan famously said, peace really only comes through strength. What are we doing? What are we doing when we’re talking about a defense budget that is so small that our military starts to tell us that we may not in fact be able to carry out all of the requirements put upon it?

President Obama wants to reduce the force level of the United States Army to its smallest size since 1940 and drop an entire class of Air Force attack jets.

While understanding the weariness of the American people after two long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and more than a decade fighting global terrorism, Dr. Rice said that “leaders can’t afford to get tired. Leaders can’t afford to be weary.”

The Obama administration is operating on the dangerous assumption that America can lead from behind by relying on our European allies, even though they are unable to get their act together to take any effective measures against Russia over Ukraine, for example. President Obama also hides behind the apron strings of the fuzzy norms of international law, which he insists everyone in the 21^st century is expected to follow as a matter of course. President Obama believes that even the Iranian regime can be dealt with rationally in good faith negotiations. This is the same regime ruled by Ayatollah Khamenei, who reportedly issued a fatwah declaring that he must be obeyed as the “representative of the Prophet Muhammad and [Shi’ism’s] 12th Imam on Earth.”

Unfortunately, what President Obama says in his speeches regarding how he thinks all world leaders should act bears little resemblance to how the leaders of our adversaries are actually acting in the real world.

Republican leaders in Congress and elsewhere need to follow Dr. Rice’s example and directly challenge the basic tenets of Obama’s foreign policy. They need to clearly contrast Obama’s tenets with the principles that Republicans stand for, which if implemented will keep the United States and its allies free and secure. The United States must lead from the front, not from behind as Obama would prefer. An American president should give America’s allies such as Israel the benefit of the doubt, not those who time and again have proven that their word cannot be trusted as President Obama has tended to do. As Putin follows a more aggressive foreign policy and jihadists are expanding their bases of operations, now is not the time to radically cut America’s military defenses as President Obama wants to do. Peace is truly won through strength, not by planned weakness in cutting the U.S. military down to size in order to supposedly improve America’s image in parts of the world where we are not liked. As jihadists, who want to kill as many Americans as they can, get closer to possessing weapons of mass destruction, now is not the time for John Kerry to raise a red herring about climate change as possibly “the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.” In fact, to achieve energy independence for the United States and our European allies, the radical environmentalists should be told to return to their environmentally protected shells while such initiatives as the Keystone Pipeline and the export of liquefied natural gas are finally allowed to go forward.

Few Republican leaders in Congress have been as bold to date as Dr. Rice in directly challenging the foundational principles that animate the Obama administration’s foreign policy and have led to disastrous outcomes. Some are all too willing to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt, a courtesy that Democrats including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, former Senator (now Secretary of State) John Kerry and Barack Obama himself refused to do in their relentless and at times vicious attacks on President George W. Bush’s foreign policies. It would be perfectly appropriate for Republicans to point out that while Bush’s surge was widely credited with winning the war in Iraq against the insurgents, Obama’s decision to withdraw all troops from Iraq managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And it would also be perfectly appropriate for Republicans to point out that while Ronald Reagan helped win the Cold War, leading to the collapse of the Soviet Union, Obama is managing to midwife the rebirth of the Russian empire.

When some Republican congressional leaders such as Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham do level a sharp criticism, it tends to deal with specific episodes such as the Obama administration’s mishandling of the Benghazi debacle. Hopefully, as it becomes painfully obvious by mid-summer to all but the willfully ignorant that there will never be a verifiable deal with the Iranian regime to dismantle Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities and to curb its missile program, Republicans will insist on the passage of new sanctions against Iran and work with like-minded Democrats to ensure veto-proof majorities.

The world is a far more dangerous place than when President Obama first took office in 2009. A fundamental reason, as Condoleezza Rice said in her speech at the 2012 Republican Convention, is that under President Obama’s watch the world does not know where America stands. “You see,” she said, “when the friends or foes alike don’t know the answer to that question, unambiguously and clearly, the world is likely to be a more dangerous and chaotic place.”

This should be the key foreign policy message during both the 2014 midterm election campaign and in 2016. Particularly if Hillary Clinton runs for president, perhaps the Republican slogan against candidates from the Democratic Party of Defeat can be “Strong American leadership DOES make a difference.”

A preferred ploy of left-wing change agents is to ridicule critics when they point out the undeniable parallels between the goals of today’s “progressive” movement, to include the Democratic Party in general, and the goals of the early, and very much still alive, communist movement.

If, for instance, one mentions the historical fact that nearly every adult who, at any time, was in any position of influence over a young, soon-to-be-radicalized Barry Soetoro was an avowed communist, to include his own parents, then one is immediately mocked and dismissed as a neo-McCarthyite hack pining for the bygone days of the Red Scare. This is an evasive, ad hominem strategy employed by those who are caught, for lack of a better word, red-handed.

To all this I say, if the jackboot fits, wear it. If it quacks like a commie and goose-steps like a commie, then a commie it is.

There are multiple layers within “progressivism’s” pseudo-utopian, truly dystopian Marxist philosophy. The left’s lust for redistributionist statism is well-known. Less understood, however, is the “progressive” rush toward cultural Marxism.

Cultural Marxism entails, among other things, that secularist aspect of left-wing statist ideology that seeks, within society, to supplant traditional values, norms and mores with postmodern moral relativism. Cultural Marxists endeavor to scrub America of her Judeo-Christian, constitutional-republican founding principles, and take, instead, a secular-statist Sharpie to our beloved U.S. Constitution.

Historian and U.S. military affairs expert William S. Lind describes cultural Marxism as “a branch of western Marxism, different from the Marxism-Leninism of the old Soviet Union. It is commonly known as ‘multiculturalism’ or, less formally, Political Correctness. From its beginning, the promoters of cultural Marxism have known they could be more effective if they concealed the Marxist nature of their work, hence the use of terms such as ‘multiculturalism.’”

Pastor, attorney and Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Scott Lively is globally admired by liberty-loving traditionalists. Conversely, he’s universally reviled by cultural Marxists. He drills down a bit deeper: “Cultural Marxism is a variation of the Marxist strategy to build a utopian socialist order on the ashes of Christian civilization, but through subversion of the moral culture, especially the elimination of the natural family, rather than solely through destruction of capitalism.”

True though this may be, the ideological seeds of contemporary cultural Marxism nonetheless sprout from deep within the dead soil of historical communism. It is not economic redistributionism alone through which “progressives” seek to both “fundamentally transform America” and otherwise conquer the world, but, rather, and perhaps primarily, it is also through victory over the pejoratively tagged “social issues” (i.e., the sanctity of marriage, natural human sexuality and morality, ending the abortion holocaust, religious liberty, the Second Amendment and the like).

This is neither speculative nor hyperbolic. Both the historical record and the U.S. Congressional Record bear out this sinister reality. Regrettably, today’s “low-information voters” as Rush Limbaugh calls them – to include the useful idiots within the GOP’s “moderate” and libertarian wings – are simply too lazy, shortsighted or both to learn the facts.

“Surrender on the ‘social issues’!” demands the GOP’s cultural Marxist-enabling kamikazes.

In 1963, U.S. Rep. A.S. Herlong Jr., D-Fla., read into the Congressional Record a list of “Current Communist Goals” as enumerated by Dr. Cleon Skousen in “The Naked Communist,” penned in 1958. I encourage you to read the whole list, but for now let’s focus on those goals that most closely align with the seditious agenda of America’s “progressive” movement. It’s actually most of them. Though Herlong was a Democrat, the list reads like today’s Democratic Party Platform.

How far has fallen the party of the jackass:

Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist [or, today, Islamic] affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist [or Islamic] domination.
Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
Do away with all loyalty oaths.
Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. (An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”)
Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principal of “separation of church and state.”
Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.”
Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.
Internationalize the Panama Canal.
Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

If achieving these specific communist goals was the final “progressive” step toward the larger goal of securing communist governance in America, then, tragically, “progressives” have realized that larger goal.

Look around. We are no longer the United States of America. We have become The Communist States of America.

Which means, for those who love liberty, revolution is once again at hand.

Report: Obama Admin Released Tens of Thousands of Illegal Immigrant Criminals

President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security caught then released 68,000 aliens who had previously been convicted of a crime, a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows. See video below;

The report, provided to Breitbart News ahead of its late Sunday evening release, reviews internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) metrics to conclude that the Obama administration released 35 percent—or 68,000—convicted criminal aliens back into the U.S. general population when they could have been deported. “The criminal alien releases typically occur without formal notice to local law enforcement agencies and victims,” CIS’s Jessica Vaughan, the report’s author, added.

By “criminal,” ICE means people who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony that is not a traffic violation. For instance, traffic violations like Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or even vehicular manslaughter do not count toward this description of “criminal alien.” As for the definition of “alien,” ICE mostly means illegal aliens, though some are legal aliens when they are considered deportable legal aliens—which is possible for legal immigrants who have committed a serious crime, like a felony.

The documents also show ICE only deported a small fraction of the aliens they encountered overall. See Neal Cavuto interview with Sheriff Joe Arpaio below;

“In 2013, ICE targeted only 195,000, or 25 percent, out of 722,000 potentially deportable aliens they encountered,” CIS’s Vaughan wrote. “Most of these aliens came to ICE’s attention after incarceration for a local arrest.”

This report comes out on the heels of a report from the office of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) last week which found that only .08 percent of the aliens deported in 2013 were not serial immigration law violators or convicted of serious crimes.

In response to these findings from CIS that follow up on his office’s report last week, Sessions said immigration law in America has essentially ceased to exist.

“The preponderance of the evidence demonstrates that immigration enforcement in America has collapsed,” Sessions said. “Even those with criminal convictions are being released. DHS is a department in crisis. Secretary [Jeh] Johnson must reject the President’s demands to weaken enforcement further and tell him that his duty, and his officers’ duty, is to enforce the law – not break it. As Homeland Secretary, Mr. Johnson is tasked with ensuring the public safety and the rule of law. But Secretary Johnson is not meeting these duties.”

The CIS report also contains a breakdown per city of percentages of criminal aliens who were released back into the population. San Antonio’s 79 percent is the highest, where ICE encountered 36,228 criminal aliens and released 28,680 back into the general population in 2013. New York City’s 71 percent is next, where ICE agents encountered 7,571 criminal aliens and released 5,391 of them. Washington, D.C. follows that, with ICE agents encountering 8,688 criminal aliens and releasing 64 percent, or 5,558, of them into the public. Other cities with high percentages include Salt Lake City, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Newark, and Buffalo. Notably, many of these cities are not in border states, which means visa overstays and illegal aliens who crossed the border but migrated further inward are as much a problem as the actual U.S.-Mexico border in terms of stopping the flow and enforcing the law.

“These findings raise further alarm over the Obama administration’s pending review of deportation practices, which reportedly may further expand the administration’s abuse of ‘prosecutorial discretion,’” CIS’s Vaughan wrote. “Interior enforcement activity has already declined 40 percent since the imposition of “prosecutorial discretion” policies in 2011. Rather than accelerating this decline, there is an urgent need to review and reverse the public safety and fiscal harm cause by the president’s policies.”

Sessions echoed Vaughan’s concerns, saying the lack of enforcement for immigration laws further hurts the ability of American citizens to obtain employment.

“American citizens have a legal and moral right to the protections our immigration laws afford – at the border, the interior and the workplace,” Sessions said. “The administration has stripped these protections and adopted a government policy that encourages new arrivals to enter illegally or overstay visas by advertising immunity from future enforcement. Comments from top Administration officials, such as Attorney General Holder’s claim that amnesty is a civil right, or Vice President Biden’s claim that those here illegally are all US citizens (apparently including someone whose visa expired yesterday), demonstrate the administration’s increasing belief in an open borders policy the American public has always rejected.”

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show.

The attack was “not an escalation of protests,” the station chief wrote to then-Deputy CIA Director Michael J. Morell in an email dated Sept. 15, 2012 — a full day before the White House sent Susan E. Rice to several Sunday talk shows to disseminate talking points claiming that the Benghazi attack began as a protest over an anti-Islam video.

That the talking points used by Mrs. Rice, who was then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, were written by a CIA that ignored the assessment by its own station chief inside Libya, has emerged as one of the major bones of contention in the nearly two years of political fireworks and congressional investigations into the Benghazi attack.

What has never been made public is whether Mr. Morell and others at the CIA explicitly shared the station chief’s assessment with the White House or State Department.

Two former intelligence officials have told The Washington Times that this question likely will be answered at a Wednesday hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence during which Mr. Morell is scheduled to give his public testimony.

Mr. Morell, who has since left the CIA, declined to comment on the matter Monday. He now works at Beacon Global Strategies, a Washington insider strategic communications firm.

One former intelligence official close to Mr. Morell told The Times on the condition of anonymity that “the whole question of communication with the station chief will be addressed in his testimony.”

“We’re confident that it will clarify the situation in the minds of many who are asking,” the former official said.

Another former intelligence official told The Times that Mr. Morell did tell the White House and the State Department that the CIA station chief in Libya had concluded that there was no protest but senior Obama administration and CIA officials in Washington ignored the assessment.

Why they ignored it remains a topic of heated debate within the wider intelligence community.

A third source told The Times on Monday that Mr. Morell and other CIA officials in Washington were weighing several pieces of “conflicting information” streaming in about the Benghazi attack as the talking points were being crafted.

“That’s why they ultimately came up with the analysis that they did,” the source said. “The piece that was coming out of Tripoli was important, but it was one piece amid several streams of information.”

One of the former intelligence officials said the Libya station chief’s assessment was being weighed against media reports from the ground in Benghazi that quoted witnesses as saying there had been a protest. Analysts at the CIA, the source said, also were weighing it against reporting by other intelligence divisions, including the National Security Agency.

“The chief of station in Tripoli who was 600 or 700 miles away from the attacks wouldn’t necessarily have the only view of what actually went on in Benghazi,” that former official said.

U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack.

While the testimony is expected to focus on Benghazi, the hearing arrives at a time of growing tensions between Congress and the CIA over such matters as the Bush administration’s interrogation rules and mutual charges of spying and illegality between the Senate intelligence committee and the agency.

Lawmakers are likely to press Mr. Morell for a reaction to reports this week that a classified Senate intelligence report has concluded that harsh interrogation methods used in the years after Sept. 11 provided no key evidence in the hunt for Osama bin Laden and that the CIA misled Congress on the matter.

The CIA disputes that conclusion. The Senate panel is expected to vote Thursday on sending the Obama administration a 400-page executive summary of the “enhanced interrogation” report to start a monthslong declassification process.

One of the key issues likely to come up during the House hearing involves what was said during a series of secure teleconferences between CIA officials in Washington and Libya from the time of the attack on Sept. 11, 2012, to the completion of Mrs. Rice’s talking points for dissemination on the Sunday talk shows Sept. 16.

Multiple sources confirmed to The Times on Monday that the station chief’s email to Mr. Morell was written after one of the teleconferences during which senior CIA officials in Washington — Mr. Morell among them — made clear to the Tripoli station chief that they were examining alternative information that suggested there was a protest before the attack.

After the exchange, Mr. Morell signed off on the CIA talking points given to Mrs. Rice promoting what turned out to be the false narrative of a protest. The development ultimately triggered an angry reaction from Republicans, who have long claimed that the Obama administration, with an eye on the November elections, was downplaying the role of terrorists in order to protect the president’s record on counterterrorism.

Documents since released by the White House show that administration officials boasted in internal emails at the time about Mr. Morell’s personal role in editing and rewriting the talking points.

“Morell noted that these points were not good and he had taken a heavy editing hand to them,” an Obama administration official wrote Mrs. Rice on the morning of Sept. 15.

What is not clear is whether the email was in any way referring to the conflicting intelligence streams about a protest in Benghazi.

Alternatively, the email notes that Mr. Morell was uncomfortable with an initial draft of the talking points batted back and forth between White House and CIA officials “because they seemed to encourage the reader to infer incorrectly that the CIA had warned about a specific attack” in Benghazi.

During interviews with The Times, several former senior intelligence officials have lamented the whole “talking points” issue, saying the CIA was caught in the middle of the White House, Congress and the reality on the ground in Benghazi while crafting the points.

The reason the CIA ended up taking the lead on the talking points was because, as news of the attack was breaking around the world, lawmakers on the House intelligence committee were seeking guidance from the agency on how to respond to media questions without revealing classified information.

Specifically, Rep. Mike Rogers, Michigan Republican and the committee chairman, and ranking Democrat C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger of Maryland asked for the guidance.

One former senior intelligence official told The Times that as word circulated through the inner circles of the intelligence community that the CIA was working on the talking points, officials within the Obama administration steered the mission toward crafting something Mrs. Rice could say on national talk shows.

“In essence, the talking points got repurposed,” the former official said. “What it turned into — and I don’t think Michael ever knew this, it’s something to watch for in his testimony this week — was, ‘Let’s hand this thing to the U.N. ambassador and make it what she should say.’”

“That’s a big deal,” the former official said. “It’s one thing to prepare something for lawmakers so they don’t make a mistake or say something inaccurate. It’s quite another matter to have that feed the administration’s then-current, definitive account of what had actually happened in Benghazi.”

“There are a lot of twists and turns in this,” added another former intelligence official. “A lot of it hangs on the fact that the agency thought they were crafting these talking points for Dutch Ruppersberger and Mike Rogers, not the White House.”

There are two reports today. One shows the power of a strong, consistent pro-life witness. The other shows the agony a woman goes through when it’s clear the “choice” to have an abortion is not her own.

John in Charlotte sent a quick note as a follow-up to my recent stop there: “46 saves! Praise God!”

It helps that a local pregnancy center parks its mobile ultrasound RV outside the abortion center – an impossible-to-ignore, positive resource that has encouraged so many women reject abortion.

I had a great visit with the Charlotte team, including Katherine and Andrea, the two women who first brought 40 Days for Life to the area … even before it became a national campaign (their story of courage and success is featured in the 40 Days for Life book).

The abortion center knows the combination of prayer and a determined, life-affirming witness on the sidewalk is hurting business. So their security guard is outside regularly, yelling at volunteers and turning up loud rap music on his car’s sound system in an attempt to silence the prayers.

I saw this for myself! But it isn’t working. Since March 5, it has failed on at least 46 occasions!

As Carrie, her friend Laura and their children prayed at the 40 Days for Life vigil in Brisbane, a drama played out before their eyes outside the Dr. Marie abortion facility.

“A young woman and her boyfriend were walking in and out of the front door for 10 minutes or so,” Carrie said. “The man kept trying to comfort the woman and hold her hand – and also lead her into the clinic.”

It certainly looked like the woman had no interest in going inside. So they turned away and sat in the garden for a while. Carrie and Laura smiled at them, prayed quietly, and kept watch with the children.

After a time, they walked towards the door again. The man walked up the steps, but the woman stopped, threw her bags down and started crying. She kept looking at the vigil participants’ faces … and the children. “We were just being there,” Carrie said.

They approached the door one more time and the woman still refused to go in again. This time, they left and did not return. The volunteers prayed that this woman would continue to be brave and refuse to abort her child.

“It was profound to be there, keeping watch,” Carrie said. “It is a very sad place to be in the world, but we were there — being light in a dark place.”

The Left’s New Zero Tolerance Policy

The watchword of modern liberals is “tolerance.” Since when did this become our highest ideal and an expression of society’s core aim and belief? Without question, it certainly should not be — at least not under the current understanding of the word.

The fundamental problem with this otherwise decent notion becoming the gravamen of society is that, under current understanding, it is nothing more than a pretext for those claiming to be tolerant to impose outright hostility and explicit intolerance on those whom they have neither the inclination nor desire to tolerate. The examples of this are best understood in a specific context.

For those with sincerely held religious beliefs that homosexuality is a disordered, unnatural, and sinful behavior, i.e., a choice, these examples will be unsurprisingly and unfortunately familiar. Those who are diametrically opposed to a religious worldview — a worldview held by all major religions and representative of the Biblical truth accepted since time immemorial — simply cannot stand for anyone with any influence to embrace, express, or espouse a contrary view. Notably, these are the same individuals now preaching tolerance of all manner of deviant and disordered behavior. The frightening truth behind these examples is that they represent the most intolerant and indefensible worldview that has ever been presented in modern policy arguments, and it has been building for many years.

First, take the example of the tolerance-first crowd’s mandate for students who seek to become mental health professionals. In today’s “tolerant” world, they must subscribe to the notion that same-sex behaviors, attractions, and identity are to be accepted, affirmed, and encouraged, regardless of an individual client’s desires and self-identity.

In Keeton v. Anderson-Wiley, a Christian student pursuing a mental health counseling education was dismissed from the postgraduate program for her refusal to submit to a remediation program designed for nothing more than to impose the liberal officials’ view of “tolerance.” The remediation program included, among other things, attending gay pride parades, reading ten articles articulating a “tolerant” viewpoint, and submitting a two-page summary outlining her increasing “tolerance” from her participation in these mandated activities with homosexual activists. If the last one reminds you of being invited to self-criticize before the homosexual politburo, then you are not alone.

Indeed, this young woman’s university also mandated that she attend and thereby lend her personal imprimatur to a number of activities, including a “gay pride” parade, that are fundamentally at odds with her religious beliefs. After that, she was to outline the number of ways she previously displayed “intolerance” and provide her self-critique describing how she had wronged those whom she would never encounter. Does that sound like tolerance of all belief systems to you? Sure it does, unless, of course, your religious beliefs reflect Biblical truth. After all, the “tolerant” crowd simply cannot tolerate the “intolerance” handed down by a just and holy God.

Second, consider the current influx of legislation designed to remove all licensed mental health professionals from their profession if they fail to worship at the altar of “tolerance.” In California and New Jersey, the tolerance police have gone to extensive lengths to ensure that all viewpoints are acceptable in mental health counseling, unless, of course, that viewpoint accepts the fundamental principle of mental health counseling that the client has the right to self-determination. Indeed, the good ol’ tolerant folks in these states — and in a number of others now — are willing to subscribe to that age-old principle of self-determination only as long as the client’s goals are shared by the homosexual activists imposing these mandates.

Even when the client has unwanted same-sex attractions, these laws mandate that licensed mental health professionals ignore and reject the client’s wishes. After all, how can anyone have such goals in their counseling? Is that tolerance? The answer is simple: certainly not.

There is little doubt about the disturbing basis for these laws. Unfortunately for the tolerance police, the Keeton case came too late, and some mental health professionals were able to obtain licenses without being forced to attend remediation (read “reeducation”) programs or self-criticize before the homosexual politburo. So, what can the tolerance police do with those who received a license before they could be denied entrance into the profession? Well, in California and New Jersey, the answer is to categorize these licensed mental health professionals as “unprofessional,” and subject anyone who dares to mention that change is possible for those who sincerely seek it to professional discipline, including stripping them of their professional license. In other words, the tolerance police have decided that anyone espousing a contrary view is unworthy of the profession.

It would be one thing if scientific evidence supported such a claim, but this is simply not true. As Dr. Nicholas Cummings, former president of the American Psychological Association, has explained, he personally counseled hundreds of clients that were successful in reducing or eliminating their unwanted same-sex attractions. Indeed, Dr. Cummings explained that the basis for these laws is a “distortion of reality” and that such laws ignore patient choice. One would think with such a grand ideal of tolerating all views, those preaching it the loudest would accept other points of view on this issue. Nevertheless, as you have probably discovered, this has never been about tolerance, but rather about silencing dissent in a totalitarian manner.

Notwithstanding the substantial number of “intolerant” people who would be removed from the marketplace of ideas under the previous two solutions, there are still too many avenues for the intolerant to espouse their “hatred” and “bigotry.” So, what shall the tolerance police do with the few remaining intolerant among us who have not yet been silenced? Well, of course, demonize them and ignore their fundamental right to direct the upbringing and education of their children. To handle this problem, the tolerance police have developed another solution: call these parents hateful, intolerant bigots unworthy of any parental rights — and take their children away.

This is not a hypothetical scenario to make a point, but is actually what the sponsor of the New Jersey legislation banning change counseling espoused openly about his motives. Assemblyman Tim Eustace, the sponsor of the bill, stated that any parents who would allow their child to obtain counseling to align their attractions and feelings with their religious beliefs are abusing their child, and the state should remove the child from the home. Of course, for those most tolerant among us, these children must be removed from these bigots’ homes lest Biblical truths continue to be taught.

The teaching of Biblical truths to the next generation is a serious problem for the tolerance police, and they intend to minimize it with another strategy: giving homosexual activists priority in the adoption process. Certainly any two loving people are capable of raising a child. Right? After all, as one of the “tolerant” among us, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry stated last year, “the children belong to us all.” Surely we cannot place those children in homes full of religious intolerance.

So, how do they effectuate providing children to those whose lifestyle choices have made natural procreation impossible? Well, quite simple: prohibit any religious entity from participating in the adoption system if they do not submit to the “tolerant” view that children should be placed in the homes of homosexuals.

Theoretical, this is not. The Catholic Charities of Boston, one of the oldest and most respected adoption agencies in the country, experienced this exact prohibition in recent years. When it refused to place children in the homes of homosexuals, a refusal deeply grounded in the religious teachings of the Catholic Church, the state refused to continue to grant that charitable organization a license to provide adoption services in Massachusetts. How better to provide those “tolerant” people with children to indoctrinate than to remove them from their abusive, religious parents and force them into the “tolerant” homes of those who will not “abuse” them with religious teaching. Never mind the fact that many of those “tolerant” homosexuals to whom these children will be provided will inflict tremendous abuse on the children.

In short, the false prophets of tolerance are now seeking to impose a new zero tolerance policy in the marketplace of ideas aimed at nothing more than silencing the views of anyone who will not bow to the altar of “tolerance.”

WATCH: Female Campus Reform reporter bullied at ‘inclusive’ feminist conference for being ‘conservative’

Campus Reform’s Katherine Timpf attended the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference (NYFLC) — an event which promised to be about “inclusivity” and welcoming everyone — only to be told that “conservative” women were not welcome.

Timpf attempted to ask students’ their opinions on feminism, but conference organizers made an announcement advising participants not to talk to Campus Reform because it was a “conservative” outlet.

The organizers also followed Timpf around the conference to interrupt her conversations with students to tell them the same thing.

“They’re a group that’s conservative, so what we are fighting for is not something…” one organizer told a student who was talking with Timpf, prompting the student to walk away.“You’re just assuming that based on where I work,” Timpf told the organizer.

“Yeah, we are,” the organizer stated.

“You guys aren’t wanted here,” a participant told the reporter after the warning.

“I thought this was supposed to be an inclusive thing, why am I being excluded because of where I work?” Timpf asked another organizer after another interruption.

“Because the place that you work is not inclusive,” the organizer responded.

“You don’t know that,” Timpf said. “You don’t know anything about me or my personal beliefs, I’m just being labeled and excluded based on a label.”

Its “safe space policy” promised the event would be “structured around inclusivity … with a focus on representing various perspectives,” according to the event’s official website.

“We will not tolerate, allow, or encourage behavior which makes folks feel uncomfortable, threatened, or demoralized,” the policy continued.

The NYFLC conference was held March 29-31 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Crystal City, VA.

Public education went down the rabbit hole where feelings trumped facts a long time ago. Experimenting with the minds of children by teaching them to ignore reality or teaching them things that are simply untrue is nothing short of brainwashing.

A society that promotes such confusion under the ruse of education is lost. Wishful thinking does not maintain childhood innocence any more than pretending wrong is right. Alice in Wonderland should have taught us that.
