Civil rights leader, Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., appeared on FOX & Friends with Steve Doocy to discuss the Restore the Dream in 2014 project.
“We actually want to educate the community. We want you to look at the facts, not respond to the fear tactics that we’re experiencing,” Dr. King told Doocy. “I really want to say to that soccer mom, to that single mom, to that struggling family, ‘Don’t panic. Don’t let fear overtake you.’”
The “Restore the Dream -2014″ project was started by TheTeaParty.net’s Niger Innis, and includes several high profile black leaders, including successful radio host Wayne Dupree, Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives founder Derrick Wilburn, Conservative Review president Deneen Borelli, FreedomWorks’ the Rev. C.L. Bryant, columnist Star Parker, Conservative Campaign Committee chairman Lloyd Marcus, columnist Star Parker, and former U.N. Civil Rights ambassador Ken Blackwell.RELATED: Martin Luther King, Jr. Niece: ‘Moral Bankruptcy’ Ruling Washington D.C. Under Obama
“I really want to call this nation to prayer. I really want to call our president to prayer,” Dr. King urged. “I believe that if we start at that point, as we were, here in 2014 to restore the dream, we’ll have answers,” she asserted.
