Only five days have passed since a 17-year-old shot up his school in Perry, Iowa, killing one and injuring five. Yet anyone looking for updates about the tragedy would be hard-pressed to find it on the front pages of any corporate outlet, unusual given the media’s typical amplification of such tragedies. The press is known for lengthy coverage glamorizing killers, inspiring copycat acts, and using shootings to push gun control. When covering tragedies that contradict leftist claims, however, Democrats and their cronies in the corrupt media quickly go radio silent.

The Perry shooting is one such case. Once the Iowa killer was identified as a teen who flirted with Democrat gender ideology, headlines and TV segments about his shooting spree slowed to a trickle. The fact that the shooter used a shotgun and small-caliber pistol instead of the ever-popular Democrat boogiemanthe AR-15, also likely played a role in the story’s disappearance.

Those media that did bother to keep coverage of the issue going, like NBC, sought to shift blame from the shooter to sexual sanity advocates such as Libs of TikTok Founder Chaya Raichik. She dares to report on the growing trend of violent transgender shooters, including details linking the Iowa school shooter to gender-fluid identity politics.

“Each time there is a mass shooting where the shooter’s identity is possibly LGBT, you and other conservative influencers appear to fixate on this and suggest to your millions of followers that people with LGBT identities are prone to violence,” NBC’s LGBT issues writer Matt Lavietes wrote in a comment request Raichik posted. “What would you say to your critics who say you’re stoking fear, hatred, and potential violence against a marginalized group of people?”

It wasn’t long before Lavietes’s article, “Musk and far-right figures seize on Iowa shooter’s possible LGBTQ identity,” began making its rounds.

Democrats and the press followed a similar playbook in 2023 when a woman masquerading as a man shot and killed three children and three staff at a small Christian school in Nashville. They framed Christians as the perpetrators of the shooting rather than the victims and blamed Tennessee gun laws, gun lovers, and laws protecting children from drag shows and irreversible sexual disfigurement. Some outlets even complained that authorities “misgendered” the shooter.

When a man shot and killed five at Old National Bank in Lousiville, Kentucky in the name of furthering the left’s gun-control agenda, gun grabbers also used the shooter’s logic to fuel Democrats’ push for unconstitutional red-flag laws.

The corporate media’s double standards on shootings should not surprise Americans, 39 percent of whom say they do not trust media at all. These double standards should, however, enrage them.

For noticing patterns in violence among gender-indoctrinated kids and warning that taking away Second Amendment rights won’t solve the mental health crisis or the weakening family and community ties that exacerbate these tragedies, the media believes conservatives deserve more criticism. The press is perfectly content smearing their political enemies with the acts of those so evil they’d murder children, while refusing ever to look in the mirror.

Tennessee Democrat Rep. Justin Pearson, who was expelled from his position for inciting an “insurrection” in the state Capitol, is now complaining to corporate media that Republicans are enlisting mob rule to once again stifle a leftist-led gun grab in the Volunteer State.

“I wonder what you make of the fact that the people of your state who you were standing up for would like to see some gun safety legislation, and the Republicans are ignoring the will of the majority,” MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace asked Pearson in an interview on Tuesday.

“Our democracy is in peril and the reality is we have people in the state of Tennessee Republican Party who are much more interested in turning our democracy into their ‘mobocracy,’ where mob rules,” the 28-year-old replied.

Pearson’s comments are ironic considering he was one of the “Tennessee Three” representatives who encouraged a mob in the chamber gallery in March to bully legislators into passing restrictive gun control laws. Their attempts to rouse the rowdy crowd with jeers, taunts, and chants of “no action, no peace” were met with swift accountability from the General Assembly, which voted to boot Pearson and Rep. Justin Jones from the House days later.

At the time, Democrats all over the nation, including President Joe Biden, and the corporate media condemned the committee removals and ejections as “racist,” an erosion of “democratic norms,” and the “latest GOP move to stifle dissent,” even though Pearson and Jones were reinstated to their positions less than a week later.

Now, Pearson says Republicans’ fight to keep Gov. Bill Lee’s red flag law proposal and other unconstitutional gun policies off of the books in their state also constitutes undemocratic behavior.

“We are seeing in state legislature after state legislature the erosion of our democracy and so I’m deeply concerned about what is happening here in Tennessee, under the leadership of this extremist Republican Party of Cameron Sexton and William Lambert,” Pearson told Wallace.

Pearson specifically took issue with Republicans’ attempts to secure the state Capitol against another bout of unrest during their August special session.

“We are seeing that quite literally in the rules that are being passed that have now prohibited our own constituents from coming into session and holding a sign that says, ‘Protect kids not guns’ or that says, ‘Am I next?’ — that has now been banned during this special session,” Pearson said. “In fact, pieces of paper have more regulation than guns in our state.”

His colleague Jones joined in with a video posted to social media claiming that “The Guns Over People (GOP) Caucus has put more work into limiting the voices of the People and keeping them out of the Tennessee Capitol then listening to their demands for common sense gun laws.”

Corporate Media Really Want Gun Control in Tennessee Too

Pearson and Jones aren’t the only ones using empty definitions of “democracy” to browbeat and guilt-trip their legislative colleagues into doing their bidding when it comes to firearms. Desperate pleas for gun control littered front pages on Monday morning as the state chambers convened for the special session. Even Wallace’s initial question to Pearson indicated she believed Tennessee Republicans who refuse to infringe on the Second Amendment are in the wrong. Mere days before the special session began, The Washington Post published a feature of Melissa Alexander, the mother of a student who survived the Covenant School shooting.

“She’s a Republican gun owner. Now she’s pleading with GOP lawmakers for change,” the headline states.

The article claims that the only thing standing in the way of gun control activists like Alexander is “a powerful Republican-supermajority legislature that has resisted demands that lawmakers say infringe on rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment.”

“Grieving Governor’s Moderate Gun Proposal Is Spurned by G.O.P. Allies,” The New York Times also lamented once it became clear Republicans would focus more on mental health and safe gun storage than restricting Americans’ constitutional rights.

Local outlets such as The Tennessean published op-eds calling for Tennessee lawmakers to “listen to children about their gun violence fears.”

Missing from the front pages of these publications was any mention of polls suggesting that a majority of Tennesseans want current gun laws enforced instead of adding new laws to the books.

The specific gun law pushed by activists, Lee, Democrats like Pearson, and now the propaganda press is far from “moderate.” As my colleague Federalist Senior Editor David Harsanyi noted during the legislation’s debut in April, a law deeming someone who has a “psychiatric disorder” or “serious behavioral condition” eligible to lose his Second Amendment rights for 180 days or more is an “unconstitutional travesty.”

Lee’s failure to clarify whether transgenderism, the radical gender ideology that possessed the Covenant School shooter who murdered six, counts as a “psychological disorder” only furthered the GOP’s case against passing such a sweeping law.

Orwellian Denver Post Edits “Socialist” Out Of Classmate’s Description Of Arapahoe Shooter

It’s one of the most blatant examples of Soviet-style media disinformation and manipulation I’ve ever seen, here in the West, in my life:  A prominent, big-city newspaper deliberately distorting/omitting a salient detail of an important news story, in order to provide cover for the evil school of economic thought that their editors share with yet another crazed, violent attacker of innocents.

It’s bad enough that we’ve already seen numerous examples of the democrat-run mainstream media trying to smear the Tea Party & conservatives by falsely, shamelessly attempting to associate various mass-shooters and terrorists with conservative philosophy and politics (while, in fact, they are almost invariably leftist, Obama-supporting democrats who carry out such attacks).

But this time we have someone who knew the shooter, a classmate, going on record to explicitly identify the madman’s political orientation as being the same as that largely held by those in the liberal media, those who usually vilify and smear the Right–and the newspaper reporting on it shamelessly censors the information, the day after it is initially printed.

The article in question, first published last Friday in The Denver Post, deals specifically with the political philosophy of school shooter Karl Pierson.  Titled, “Arapahoe gunman held strong political beliefs, classmates said,” it features various statements from students who knew Pierson, concerning his worldview on economics and politics.

When The Post first ran the story, as written by the article’s authors Zahira Torres and Yesenia Robles, a key remark from one of Pierson’s classmates was reported.

This was the initial version:

Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, described him as a very opinionated Socialist.

A day later, whoever controls the levers at The Denver Post took out the word “socialist” from their edited, updated version of the piece:

Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, described him as very opinionated.

When challenged, on Twitter, about the edited version of the story, the senior news editor of The Denver Post, Lee Ann Colacioppo, Tweeted this pathetic reply:

“We decided not to have another student apply a label to the shooter–a label the student likely didn’t even understand ..”

There ensued a storm of dozens and dozens of Tweets and counter-Tweets between Colacioppo and several others.

Typical, isn’t it?  How often we hear socialists and communists insist that their critics “don’t even know what socialism/communism is”?

Most reading this know all too well what the true nature of socialism is, and we also know the score where most of the dinosaur media is concerned.

The liberal democrat socialists who comprise 85% (self-identifying surveys confirm this) of the editorial and reporting staffs of most major media outlets have perfected their under-handed craft to a high art over the decades.  We’re kind of used to it by now.

Fortunately, the internet and the alternative/new media has made it so much easier to bust them, and to spread the word when they get caught red-handed.  So, help spread the word
