If we give up, we doom ourselves to tyranny.

Check it out:

Here’s the thing about this. I’m not gonna sit here and exist in denial. We have reached a point — we have to be realistic here. We can’t honestly say that all of this is gonna turn around in one election. Let’s say the Republicans win the White House. That’s not single-handedly going to be what turns this around. Democrats lose the Senate, we win with the House. I’m still not sure that the Republicans want to win the Senate. It’s much easier to be in the minority where you have no responsibility. It’s much easier where you don’t have to come up with the agenda that is reform. It’s much easier to sit there and say there’s nothing we can do; we’re in the minority. That’s a side issue.

I think we’re at a point here, we’re in deep. I don’t want anybody to be misled with my optimism. The end of the Obama presidency is not gonna be magic. It’s gonna be big in one characteristic, though. It’s gonna end this paralysis of criticism that everybody is suffering. The second thing, I touched on it earlier, when you look at the Dakotas where the fracking is going on and Texas, the states hold the key, I believe. If you say, and a caller did, that Washington is not responsive, that Washington does not seem interested in fixing this or reforming it, may be. But the states are. The states can’t print money. The states cannot do what the federal government can do. They have to actually abide by a whole different set of rules and laws. So there are a lot of things that have to happen.

Leftist Revisionist

I’m not pie-in-the-sky here. But enough things happen just on this radio show in pushing back and retarding the progress or stopping it of some of their most important issues, global warming and health care, to name a couple; there are others as well. But I think this notion that — I, too, I said it earlier, there is gonna be a generation, it may be the Millennials, a generation growing up and saying, “Wait a minute, this is not what we’re in this for. We’re not going to pay for half this country, for 92 million people to not work. We’re just not gonna do it. We’re not our parents. We’re not our grandparents. We’re not gonna do it.” I have that faith as well.

RUSH: Did you see this video report from the Wall Street Journal?  “Russia Taking Over Ukraine’s News Media.”  And, by the way, we must have great audio sound bites coming up.  The two infobabes at Russian TV, one quit on the air, and the American media is just livid at her.  And the other one, who criticized Putin on the air, has been sent to get-your-mind-right camp. And, apparently, it didn’t take very long ’cause she’s back with her mind right, now spreading the Putin gospel.  It’s incredible.  It’s all coming up here.

There’s a video report from the Wall Street Journal: “Russia Taking Over Ukraine’s News Media.” Pretty outrageous.  I didn’t know that Putin even had an FCC.  He’s put hall monitors in his own media, like they want to do here.  But seriously, folks, this Ukraine business, I like to always find ways to put things in perspective that might be persuasive.  And this Ukraine business — we had a call yesterday from a very articulate woman, an African-American, who said, “Look, this Ukraine business isn’t gonna change anybody’s mind on Obama. This Ukraine business is esoteric.  You gotta talk about those black pastors that have 25,000 signatures now on a petition to impeach Eric Holder.”

I said, “We did, I talked about it twice.”  But her point was nobody cares about this stuff.  It isn’t gonna change any low-information voter’s minds.  And sadly, she’s right.  But that doesn’t mean that we don’t find a way nevertheless to make it connect.  That’s my constant struggle, is to take all this esoteric stuff, make the complex understandable.  And I think the way to understand Ukraine is to boil it down to its essence, to step back and think about what we are witnessing.  This is the KGB vs. ACORN.

Now, what do you think is gonna happen in this conflict?  We have a top KGB officer — by the way, I have a little thing I printed here for the Stack of Stuff.  It is a picture of Reagan in Moscow — it says 1988 — at a summit.  He’s standing outside the Kremlin, and Gorbachev is there and other Soviet officials, and there is a man disguised as a tourist with a camera around his neck.  It’s Putin!  The KGB showed up as families that the Russians, the Soviets, wanted Reagan to meet.  And these KGB people pretending to be families supposedly hit Reagan with accusatory questions, just like the left would do here if they got hold of people they didn’t like on television or something.

And Putin is there with blond hair.  It says it’s Putin, and it’s a side shot, but not full-on side, maybe a little diagonal front-side shot.  But it looks like Putin’s face with a lot of blond hair.  Not hippie hair.  Nice, combed hair over the ears, got a camera, looks just like a tourist.  It’s Putin!  Pretending to be a Russian family.  And apparently the Reagan people knew it, because the story says that there are people surrounding Reagan in the American entourage a little upset at the questions Reagan’s getting.  “Ah, don’t worry, we knew this.  These are not families.  They’re all KGB families.”

So what we’ve got here in the Ukraine, we have the KGB, a top KGB, not former, because no one ever leaves the KGB.  We have a top KGB officer, Vladimir Putin, versus a failed community organizer, Barack Obama.  Who do you think is gonna come out on top on this?  The KGB vs. ACORN.  That’s what we’re witnessing.  That’s what Ukraine is.  What has been Obama’s boldest move so far?  To give the Ukrainian government a billion dollars.  Ostensibly loan guarantees, but it’s a handout.  That billion dollars is gonna end up in Putin’s back pocket.  It’s just enough for them to be able to pay their natural gas bill they have to get from Putin.

So Obama is paying Putin, essentially, not Ukraine.  Putin, a billion dollars, so Ukrainians can continue the free flow of natural gas, and we’ve thrown in Crimea.  Who was it, Governor Cuomo, somebody said, “Give Saddam a couple of islands, he’ll go away.”  Somebody said here, “Give Putin Crimea, he’ll go away.” So a billion dollars and Crimea in the battle between the KGB and ACORN.  Now, what is the Russian word for “shaft”?  Because that’s exactly what we’re gonna get here.  It’s pathetic, folks.  It is laughable and it is pathetic.  The Putin photo is legit.  He was pretending to be a KGB family, a Soviet family, just a guy, a father with a camera.  (laughing)

John Bolton is at CPAC today.  CPAC opened up today.  John Bolton said, “under Obama you can get away with murdering his personal representative,” Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi, “and get away scot-free.”  See, folks, this is the kind of simple devastating truth that could eventually go into some of the most successful, effective political ads we could ever see.  Can you imagine a Republican candidate running against whoever the next Democrat is and equate that next Democrat with Obama, and say, under Obama or under the Democrats, you can get away with murdering their personal representatives and get away scot-free.  It’s amazing.

Advice to the Dictator for His State of the Coup Address

http://conservativebyte.com/2014/01/advice-dictator-state-coup-address/#rph7AO2IYXbqerKZ.99

Posted on January 28, 2014 by Conservative Byte (Quoting Rush Limbaugh)

Sadly the state of his coup is good. This year we better fight back. Check it out:

State of the Coup.  I think that is what we need to call this.  It’s not the State of the Union.  It’s the State of the Coup.  That’s between you and me, folks, shh, don’t tell the media.  That is a tweak.  Let me tell you what’s gonna happen.  I just called it the State of the Coup.  Now, the media’s not listening here, they never do.  They will hear that I said this on another website — take your pick, Daily Kos, Media Matters — they will be outraged, and then later this afternoon or sometime tomorrow, they will say how reprehensible, how horrible. Who does this guy think he is? This is not a banana republic. This is offensive. The president is right to be concerned, got this guy on the radio calling it the State of the Coup.

And when that happens, you will know that you are in on the joke.  Just between us.  Because as I say, the media is not listening now.  They never do.  They will not go to my website to find out about this.  They will hear about it Third Way and be appropriately outraged.  So we’ll stick with it all day, just for the fun of it, call it the State of the Coup.  Plus it has the added benefit of it kind of works, doesn’t it?  And do you know what the theme of the State of the Coup is?  Inequality.  The president is going to complain and whine and moan about inequality.

Do you know, ladies and gentlemen, poverty is not the result of income or wealth inequality?  You might think, “Rush, that’s not anything special.” There are a lot of people to whom that is going to be a controversial statement. “What do you mean inequality isn’t due to poverty? What do you mean poverty doesn’t cause inequality?  What do you think does?”  And therein lies the answer to the big question.  Here’s another one for you. (interruption) No, I don’t think you should be laughing about this at all.  This is his route to further punish achievement, to stigmatize it, to stigmatize the rich.  You hear about this guy, one of these big venture capitalist guys from California, San Francisco, his name is Peters.  I think it’s Peters.  This was gonna be at the top of the Stack until the rest of the show biz stuff started rolling in.

Obama to be ‘president’ even when term ends

Bold prediction about what happens in 2017

Kathy Shaidle is a blogging pioneer whose FiveFeetOfFury.com is now in its 12th year. Her most recent book – “The Tyranny of Nice: How Canada Crushes Freedom in the Name of Human Rights, and Why It Matters to Americans” – features an introduction by Rush Limbaugh guest host Mark Steyn.
Will President Obama be treated as if he’s still running America even after his term expires?

The answer is a guaranteed yes, according to Rush Limbaugh, the nation’s most-listened-to radio broadcaster.

Obama’s announcement that he plans to continue to reside in Washington, D.C., when his term ends was mostly ignored during the Christmas news cycle.

But Limbaugh heard the statement loud and clear, and offered his listeners Tuesday his opinion about Obama’s unusual decision.

“Most presidents go back home,” Limbaugh pointed out.

George Washington set the pattern, by pointedly imitating the Roman statesman Cincinnatus’ quiet return to his humble farm after serving in public office.

“Now Obama’s home is Hawaii or Chicago,” Limbaugh continued. “I fully expected Obama and Michelle to set up the Barack Obama Library of Social Justice at the University of Hawaii or something and go back there, and they may very well do that.

“But Obama says he is going to stay in Washington. Can you guess why that might be?”

Limbaugh speculated Obama wants to “stay in town to make sure that whatever he accomplishes is not unwound.”

As an example, Limbaugh said if a Republican is elected in 2016 and says certain aspects of Obamacare were sought to be dismantled, “Obama is going to call the media, and he’s going to go on TV as though he’s still president, and the media will treat him that way.

“He is going to stay there to make sure that whatever he’s done to remake this country is not changed, is not unwound,” Limbaugh added.

“I guarantee you folks, even after he’s out of office, he is going to be treated by the media as though he’s still president. And this may be the case even with a Democrat president [in office then]. Whatever the next president does, the media is going to go to Obama every day.”

The radio host noted that by staying in the public eye, Bill Clinton had already “blown up a number of time-honored traditions involving the presidency, one of which is: When you’re time is up, you go. You don’t comment on your successor.”

“I’m here to tell you that within days of the new president’s inauguration, [Obama] will be calling press conferences, and whatever he thinks is going to be the news that day. There is no other reason to stay” in Washington, he said.

Limbaugh warned his audience to “prepare” for this eventuality, which will pose a particular challenge on the new president, no matter what party he or she belongs to.

“Do not doubt me on this,” Limbaugh concluded. “I know these people. I know how they think. … [Obama will] have a satellite administration in exile.”
