Rate of Christian girls abducted and attacked by extremists on the rise in Egypt

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/04/18/rate-christian-girls-abducted-and-attacked-by-extremists-on-rise-in-egypt/

This year already has seen a spike in the incidents, according to a report by the non-profit advocacy group International Christian Concern. It has been estimated by the ICC and other watchdog groups in the region that there have been 500 reported cases of young women being attacked by Muslim men since 2011, but unreported cases could send the figure much higher.

The girls are often assaulted, raped, kidnapped, forced to change their faith and sometimes killed, the ICC said.Making matter worse, nothing is being done by local authorities to prevent it in provinces across Egypt, according to officials from both the ICC and the Clarion Project, a US-based non-profit think tank and advocacy group.

“Not only are they turning a blind eye, they are often compliant,” Issac Six, a spokesman for the ICC told FoxNews.com, citing one incident in which a father was assaulted by an officer for asking too many questions about efforts to have his abducted daughter returned.

“It’s pervasive; police at the local level are not stopping the abductions. There needs to be more pressure from the top,” he added. “We have seen cases before where we’ve seen victims returned when the police put pressure on the kidnappers. We know it’s possible, unfortunately, the police are often complacent.”

Six added that the problem is largely ignored by the international community and that the U.S. needs to be more vocal about the issue in its dialogue with the Egyptian government.

One reported incident occurred in the city of Luxor as recently as February when 15-year-old Amira Hafez Wahib attended a morning prayer service at a local church, according to the study from ICC. Amira had asked her mother if she could go to a store near the church to buy an item. Her mother let her go but urged her to hurry right back.

But Amira never returned and is still missing.

The next day, Amira’s family went to the local police to report she had vanished.

“We received promises from the police here that they would arrest the accused and return Amira to her family, but there is not any positive step from them till now,” Rafla Zekry Rafla, an attorney handling the case, was quoted as saying.

The girl’s family believes that they know who her kidnapper is– a Muslim man, named Yasser Mahmoud, a soldier who was at one time assigned to protect their church. Mahmoud had tried to abduct Amira a few months earlier at a Christian store near the church where she worked.

The family immediately tracked down where the man lived with his family. Relatives told Amira’s parents that they had not heard or seen from Mahmoud since the same day that their daughter disappeared.

Another recent incident occurred on March 9 when a young girl was abducted in front of her school. The family went to the local police for help in locating her.

A few days later, the father was returning home when he was approached by two masked men on a motorcycle. He was stopped by the pair, who attempted to convince him to give up the search for his daughter.

He was told to “just forget her” and had his life threatened. The two men said they would also abduct his other daughters if he continued his search.

Things got worse for the family, whose identities have not been made public due to safety concerns, when the father went to the Civil Status Authority to get a copy of her birth certificate only to discover that her name had been changed and her religion had been changed to Islam.

The ICC report also suggests that more minor incidents are on the rise as well, such as young Christian women wearing crosses in public having them violently ripped off their necks.

Experts point out that the rise in the abuse against young Christian women is likely due to societal misogyny and Islamist indoctrination as well as the recent loss in government power by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“There’s a huge conflict between the Islamist and Christian populations in Egypt right now,” Ryan Mauro, a National Security Analyst with the Clarion Project, said to FoxNews.com. “The Coptic Christians are supporting General el-Sisi because of the military’s efforts to take the Muslim Brotherhood out of power.”

“The radical Islamists are angry. So they are retaliating,” he added.

The Brotherhood is not helping matters,” Mauro said. “They incite the people to carry out these aggressive acts, but when the people carry them out, they denounce it.”

“They know full well what they are doing.”

Abortion Providers Don’t Inform Authorities about Pregnant 11 year old

Abortion providers are generally disgusting people. You’d have to be to make a living murdering people and pretending you were performing some kind of public good. Maybe I go too far… but I don’t think so. The evidence keeps piling up that my first instincts are correct.

Case in point –

In West Virginia a pair of parents, Michael and Amanda Adkins, have been arrested on charges of child neglect. Why? They took their 11 year old daughter to an abortion clinic to have a baby murdered that was likely the product of incest. Then because the abortion clinic defied the law and didn’t inform authorities that a crime had been committed (at the very least the statutory rape of an 11 year old), these scumbag parents were able to take their daughter back to her doctor and lie to him about her experiencing symptoms of miscarriage. Because of their lie he performed a DNC on a little girl that had recently undergone an abortion putting her life at unnecessary risk – simply to cover their own behinds.

Michael and Amanda Adkins were arrested Friday night on charges of child neglect causing the risk of injury.

child abortionIn this case, because the abortion was not reported by the abortion clinic — and the parents did not tell anyone it was done — state police say the parents were able to go back to the doctor that was working with investigators and tell him the girl was having symptoms of a miscarriage. He then performed a D&C procedure, unknowingly putting the girl in danger.

“That point was withheld, which makes it pertinent in her health and her safety,” West Virginia State Police Cpl. Marlene Moore said. “That’s where the neglect creating risk of injury comes in. The parents neglected to take care of her needs — her basic needs and put her in extreme danger by letting her go through an unnecessary procedure– be put under anesthesia when they knew that that had been performed before.”

The horrible parents have become the center of the story… but let’s not leave out the murderous abortion clinic staff that decided not to tell authorities that a child had been raped.

This kind of story plays out every day in every abortion clinic across the country. These facilities and the staff that work there are constantly lying, cheating and fudging the truth – breaking copious laws along the way. To them the ends always justify the means, and it does not matter how repulsive they must be to be to accomplish their goals… they’ll do it. Think I’m overstating things? Then you haven’t seen Lila Rose in action.

Or how about this abortion peddler telling a pimp to pretend he’s actually the guardian of an underage prostitute.

Face it folks. Abortionists are murderers. They are evil vile criminals who murder people for a living – so why would you expect them to obey laws that would have them report underage abortion seekers? That’s foolish.

It’s time to end the holocaust that America is perpetrating on our children. Abortion must be made illegal, and it must happen now.

Nun: Slain Christians’ blood drained and sold

Vials from beheading victims ‘going for $100,000’

Jerome R. Corsi, a Harvard Ph.D., is a WND senior staff reporter. He has authored many books, including No. 1 N.Y. Times best-sellers “The Obama Nation” and “Unfit for Command.” Corsi’s latest book is  “Who Really Killed Kennedy?”

NEW YORK – Atrocities by Syrian jihadist rebels have reached sensational new levels, according to a revered nun working with persecuted Christians and an explosive new video report.

Sister Hatune Dogan told WND in a Skype interview that members of the Syrian opposition are draining the blood of Christians they behead and selling vials to Islamic radicals for $100,000 a piece.

The Syrian Orthodox nun explained that the blood is used in a ritual washing of hands in the belief the act atones for sins and provides privileged access to heaven.

The Christians, she said, are beheaded in ceremonies in which they are forced to kneel, with their hands and feet bound, as the Muslim radicals read a death sentence imposed because the victim refuses to renounce Christianity and embrace Islam.

She detailed how the head of the victim is brutally severed with knives. The blood spurting from their necks is captured in basins and then bottled.

“The Muslims sever the necks and collect the blood in vessels to sell the blood. The Muslims believe that if they kill a Christian and wash their hands in the blood of the Christian, they will go to heaven,” she explained.

She said the sale of the Christian blood “is a big business.”

“With this money, the Muslim terrorists can buy more weapons,” she explained.

Walid Shoebat, a native Arabic-speaking Christian who was a member of the PLO, has called Hatune a Mother Teresa figure in an article that featured her presenting the results of an independent investigation of Christians in Syria under the rule of Muslim fundamentalists.

A video posted on YouTube shows Hatune presenting the results of the investigation in which she discusses how women held captive by Muslims for ransom have been raped and mutilated. She also presents evidence for her claim Muslims are beheading Christians and selling their blood.

See Sister Hatune’s presentation of her findings:

“Hatune’s willingness to help the persecuted is so immense that it surpasses what anyone is doing today in the Middle East,” Shoebat has written on his blog.

“Her righteous deeds, of course, receive the vociferous wrath of the jihadists,” Shoebat said.

The nun says she gets “18 death threats in seven languages.”

“But Sister Hatune is no pacifist,” Shoebat writes. “As she ardently believes in denying one’s self, helping the oppressed and turning the other cheek, like a true warrior, she as well zealously believes in taking up a whip and driving out the wicked.”

Independently, Shoebat has published a video of Sunni Muslims playing soccer with the heads of the people they murdered.

WND Middle East correspondent Michael Maloof, a former senior security policy analyst in the office of the secretary of defense, said the “vociferous wrath” from jihadists that Hatune is receiving because of her vigorous effort to protect Christians has made her a prime target of al-Qaida and its affiliate, the Jabhat al-Nusra.

“Al-Nusra, which wants to establish caliphates in Syria and throughout the Middle East, has amply demonstrated that it will kill any ‘infidel,’ even Muslims, who do not subscribe to a strict form of Shariah,” Maloof said. “This places all Christians and other minorities in peril which, in turn, puts Sister Hatune and her companions in al-Nusra’s crosshairs.”

Hatune explained to WND that she was born into a Christian family in Zaz, a village in Turabdeen, Northern Mesopotamia in Turkey, at a time when Christians were being persecuted by both by Turkish and Kurdish Muslims.

According to a biography, her family migrated from Turkey to Germany in 1985 to escape persecution.

She completed her education in Germany. In 1988, she joined the Morephrem Monastery in Losser, Holland, where she entered the sisterhood under the leadership of the Mother Superior Seyde Atto.

In Germany, she completed her degree in practical theology at the Theological Seminar in Mienz, Germany, in 1996. Later, she worked as a psychotherapist in Kathekese Psychotherapy Institute in Augustburg, Germany.

She has visited 38 countries and worked in the Ministry of Charitable and Social Service in Turkey, Africa, India and the Middle East.

She is a member of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church under the Holy See of Antioch.

Hatune is the founder of the Sister Hatune Foundation, registered in the United States in New York. The foundation has a Facebook page. Her various country-specific Internet websites are frequently hacked and often inoperable.

Shoebat has begun accepting contributions through a foundation he created for Hatune, RescueChristians.org.

19 Year Old Christian Girl With Knife at Her Throat Forced to Convert to Islam

Boko Haram Kidnapped & Forced Christian Lady To Convert To Islam

What would you do?

This isn’t a make believe story, but the true account of a young Nigerian  Christian girl by the name of Hajja.  She endured her terrifying ordeal for three months as a captive of the Boko  Haram terrorist group.  The name of the group roughly translates ‘western  education is sinful.’  They are pushing for Nigeria to become an Islamic  country ruled by strict sharia law.

Currently, most of northern Nigeria is dominated by Muslims, while most of  the Christians live in the southern part of the country.  However, Boko  Haram terrorists have been actively attacking Christians and Christian villages  that still exist in the northern and central regions of the nation.  They  slaughter some of the people to strike terror into the hearts of other  Christians so that they can more easily force them to convert to Islam.

Fortunately for Hajja, she managed to escape from her captors after three  months of tortuous cruelty.  She still has family living in the northern  regions of Nigeria, so her last name has been withheld for their safety.   She now resides in the nation’s capital of Abuja where she hopes she will be  safer, but her life will never be the same again.

After several years of Boko Haram’s terrorist activities, the US State  Department has finally decided to label them as a Foreign Terrorist  Organization.  They acknowledge that the Boko Haram is responsible for  thousands of deaths in Nigeria, but they conveniently label the victims as  civilians when the majority have been Christians.

“Boko Haram’s attacks against Christians, along with continued  Muslim-Christian communal violence, threaten to exacerbate existing  Muslim-Christian mistrust and divide, undermine Nigeria’s fledgling democracy,  and the future stability of this important U.S. ally.”

Note that Lynch describes Nigeria as an important US ally.  Herein lies  the reason that the US has been so reluctant to say or do anything about the  violent slaughter of thousands of Christians.  After all, they can’t let  the lives of thousands of Christians interfere with their valued relationship  with their important ally, can they?  If it were the other way around and  Christians were slaughtering thousands of Muslims, the US would get involved in  a heartbeat to protect their Muslim allies.

Don’t forget the word ‘Islam’ in a general context supposedly relates to  wholeness, safeness and peace.  In a religious context, it means ‘voluntary  submission to God or Allah.’  Note that most Muslims, especially radical  ones like Boko Haram fail to live up to the ‘voluntary’ part of the religious  definition or the ‘safeness and peace aspects of the general context.   Doesn’t it make you feel all nice and fuzzy inside knowing that your kids and  grandkids are being taught in public schools just how nice and wonderful Islam  is?

On Sunday, police in Omaha arrested Sergio Perez, 19, after he reportedly raped a 93-year-old woman in her home.

The woman was found bloodied, with several serious injuries.

Omaha.com reported:

The woman’s daughter, who also lives in the residence, called 911. Officers said they discovered Perez nude and on top of the woman in a bedroom that had blood on the “walls, floor, ceiling and bed.”

The prosecution said that Perez admitted to police that he beat and raped the victim “because he was angry at women after a night of drinking.”

Perez was found naked and passed out on top of the victim, according to police.

The victim’s cheekbones, nose and several teeth were broken in the ordeal. She remains hospitalized at this time in serious condition.

Perez, who speaks only Spanish, is employed as a roofer.

Perez has been charged with first-degree sexual assault, first-degree assault and burglary. He is currently being held at the Douglas County Correctional Center on an immigration detainer.

Prophet’s Perps Raping Kids In Britain: No Kids Safe From Muhammed’s Minions

By / http://clashdaily.com/2013/07/prophets-perps-raping-kids-in-britain-no-kids-safe-from-muhammeds-minions/2/

afghan“Mohammed was a polygamist and a pedophile because he had nine wives, one of whom was only nine years old, that is a historical fact” ~Daniela Santanchè, Italian entrepreneur and politician

There are so many detriments to the practice of the favored religion of the POTUS. Islam leaves a swath of fear, destruction and death in its path ANYWHERE it rears its vile visage. For the past few months, I’ve been focusing on the plague of Islam on the UK on my radio show, with guests like Kev Carroll: Co-Founder of the EDL; Paul Weston: leader of the Liberty GB Party; Elisabeth Sabiditsch-Wolff: Pax Europa; Gavin Boby: Founder, Law and Freedom Foundation … PLUS our very own Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. Giving caveat after caveat concerning this totalitarian ideology.

Our cousins across the Pond are in the vanguard of this war on the West in Europe, perpetrated by Islam. They are beginning to feel the full weight of this draconian system that entered their welcoming nation under the guise of a “religion of peace“. As these supremacist squatters came, settled and multiplied … but refused to assimilate into their host countries, they began to exhibit the characteristics of their prophet …

Bombings, beheadings, and rape, oh my! This isn’t OZ, it’s hell …

But the rape, as per the Quran and Hadith, don’t just include the chattel known as women … it includes children.

The child rape problem by Muslim perps has now become pandemic in England. According to Sue Berelowitz, Deputy Children’s Commissioner for England, “As one police officer said to me, ‘There isn’t a town, village or hamlet in which children are not being sexually exploited.’ We should start from the assumption that children are being sexually exploited right the way across the country.”

A court in London has sentenced seven members of a Muslim child grooming (sex trafficking) gang based in Oxford to at least 95 years in prison for raping, torturing and trafficking British girls as young as 11. So now the chorus begins of apologists and nimrod Westerners denying the truth about Islam. Proof is on my side …

Here are some of the verses in the Quran and Hadith (traditions of the prophet) that support pedophilia:

Quran (with commentary by Islamic scholars):
Surah 65:4: ” Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.”

Tafsir Ibn Kathir (commentary on 65:4): The Iddah of Those in Menopause and Those Who do not have Menses Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. [see 2:228] The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause. This is the meaning of His saying.

Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, Tafhim al-Qur’an (Commentary on Qur’an Chapter 65:4): Here, one should bear in mind the fact that according to the explanations given in the Quran the question of the waiting period arises in respect of the women with whom marriage may have been consummated, for there is no waiting-period in case divorce is pronounced before the consummation of marriage. (Al-Ahzab: 49). Therefore, making mention of the waiting-period for the girls who have not yet menstruated, clearly proves that it is not only permissible to give away the girl in marriage at this age but it is also permissible for the husband to consummate marriage with her. Now, obviously no Muslim has the right to forbid a thing which the Quran has held as permissible.

Surah al-Talaaq 65:4 (commentary): If a woman does not menstruate, either because she is very young or old and past menopause, then her ‘iddah is three months, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses (i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise.

Tafsir al-Jalalayn (commentary on 65:4): And [as for] those of your women who no longer expect to menstruate, if you have any doubts, about their waiting period, their prescribed [waiting] period shall be three months, and [also for] those who have not yet menstruated, because of their young age, their period shall [also] be three months — both cases apply to other than those whose spouses have died; for these [latter] their period is prescribed in the verse: they shall wait by themselves for four months and ten [days] [Q. 2:234]. And those who are pregnant, their term, the conclusion of their prescribed [waiting] period if divorced or if their spouses be dead, shall be when they deliver. And whoever fears God, He will make matters ease for him, in this world and in the Hereafter.

Hadith (Quotes from Imam Bukhari in his book of Tafsir and Hadith collections, regarding verse 65:4):

CCCLXXXIV: The Tafsir of Surat at-Talaq: Mujahid said that “if you have any doubt” (65:4) means if you do not know whether she menstruates or not. Those who do not longer menstruate and those who have not yet menstruated, their ‘idda is three months.

Bukhari (Chapter 39): Giving one’s young children in marriage (is permissible) by virtue of the Statement of Allah: ‘And for those who have courses’ (i.e. they are still immature) (Sura 65:4) And the ‘Iddat [waiting period for a woman before lawful sexual intercourse] for the girl before puberty is three months (in the above Verse).

Bukhari 7:62:63: Narrated Sahl bin Sad: While we were sitting in the company of the Prophet a woman came to him and presented herself (for marriage) to him. The Prophet looked at her, lowering his eyes and raising them, but did not give a reply. One of his companions said, “Marry her to me O Allah’s Apostle!” The Prophet asked (him), “Have you got anything?” He said, “I have got nothing.” The Prophet said, “Not even an iron ring?” He Sad, “Not even an iron ring, but I will tear my garment into two halves and give her one half and keep the other half.” The Prophet; said, “No. Do you know some of the Quran (by heart)?” He said, “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Go, I have agreed to marry her to you with what you know of the Qur’an (as her Mahr).” ‘And for those who have no courses (i.e. they are still immature). (65.4) And the ‘Iddat for the girl before puberty is three months (in the above Verse).

And that doesn’t include Fatwas (legal judgments) that further verify what the prophet did:

December 24, 2010 (by Ahmed posted on Islamonline): The Noble Qur’an has also mentioned the waiting period [i.e. for a divorced wife to remarry] for the wife who has not yet menstruated, saying: “And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women – if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated” [Qur’an 65:4]. Since this is not negated later, we can take from this verse that it is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl. The Qur’an is not like the books of jurisprudence which mention what the implications of things are, even if they are prohibited. It is true that the prophet (PBUH) entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old, according to al-Bukhari.

Islamweb, Fatwa No. 88089, June 24, 2004: Getting married at an early age is something that is confirmed by the book of Allah, the Sunnah of his Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), the consensus of the scholars and the actions of the companions, and the Muslims who came after them.

Moreover, the interest of Shariah proves it. So the claim that this was abrogated is not correct. And the Hadith did not include that meaning; it just states that a virgin woman is not to be married until consulted.

The evidence from the Qur’an is:

1. The saying of Allah: “And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]“. (At-Talaq 65:4)

So, Allah set rulings of marriage, divorce and waiting period for the women who have not yet had menses, i.e. the young girls.

The Iddah (waiting period) does not take place except after marriage.

**********************

In other words: Pedophile perps … have at it!

The majority of craven bureaucrats in the UK have fallen all over themselves to accommodate Muslims (let’s not forget Cameron’s insane statement that the problem does not lie with Muslims assimilating into British culture, but British culture ceasing to bend enough to them). These perps will tragically be treated with unwarranted and egregious mercy by the legal system … after all … one of them must have been kicked and called names when he was a wee one.

My concern now is for children in the US … with the fawning behavior of the majority of our leadership: This spells the nightmare of Islamic, sexual abuse and the perps getting off virtually scot-free. While the victims become the TRUE walking dead, among the living … if they survive.

Cousins across the Pond: It’s time to live up to your great heritage and support your fellow Brits who are standing up for the children and true British values against this dark, Islamic Tide, like Paul Weston, Gavin Boby, Kev Carroll/Tommy Robinson and others who are taking a stand … PLEASE stand with them!

For my brethren here in the USA: Your Congress works for YOU! Tell them to stop this Sharia Creep before it touches our children. Stand with Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Bare Naked Islam, Logan’s Warning, Tom Trento, Raymond Ibrahim, Walid Shoebat, ACLJ, Lawfare Project, Christian Defense League, Creeping Shariah, Front Page Mag, Horowitz Freedom Center, Frank Gaffney, Gadi Adelman, Jawa Report and many other groups … including myself and other writers at Clash Daily, spreading the truth about this barbaric ideology.

In this case, knowledge is power … if we ACT on it.

Shalom through strength …

The Abortion Rape Exception: Look Her In The Eye

By / http://clashdaily.com/2013/07/the-abortion-rape-exception-look-her-in-the-eye/

depressedBy Mike S. Adams
Clash Daily Guest Contributor

Author’s Note: The following column is based on a real life conversation.

Teenager: Dr. Adams, may I have a few minutes to speak with you?

Me: Sure. What is your name? (Gives name).

Teen: I enjoyed listening to your talk on abortion just a few minutes ago. Your points were solid. But I have just one problem. It’s with the rape exception. Can you honestly tell me that you could look a rape victim in the eye and tell her that she could not have an abortion – that she must take the rapist’s baby to term?

Me: (pulls out phone). Yes. Give me the number of any pregnant rape victim you know and I will call her right now and talk to her. I can’t look her in the eye but I will talk to her.

Teen: (Laughing nervously). I don’t know any pregnant rape victims.

Me: Well, before I put my phone up, can I ask a favor of you?

Teen: Sure.

Me: I have a friend who was conceived in rape. Do you mind if I call her and give you the phone so you  could explain why it would be permissible for her be killed just because she was conceived in rape? Her mother is still alive, by the way. I’m sure that her continued existence reminds her mother of the rape. My friend’s name is Laura.

Teen: No, I won’t do that. She shouldn’t be killed, now. That isn’t my position.

Me: Oh, I see. You think that there is some difference between the adult she is now and the embryo she once was that would have justified killing her at that earlier stage of development.

Teen: I see what you are doing. This is the SLED thing, isn’t it?

Me: Yes it is. Size, level of development, environment (whether she is inside or outside of the womb), and degree of dependency. These are the four differences people generally rely upon when they say you can kill the unborn but not the born. Which one is it?

Teen: Well, none of them, I guess. I see your point.

Me: Good. Now, let’s talk about who benefits when the child conceived in rape is aborted.

Teen: Ok.

Me: Would I, or any of the close friends of Laura, have benefited from her death at the hands of the hands of the abortion doctor? I mean, would it not have been a tragedy had her friends never known her?

Teen: Well, yes, I suppose it would have been a tragedy.

Me: Well, how about Laura? Would she have benefited from the abortion?

Teen: No, of course not.

Me: Ok, then who benefits?

Teen: Well, the rape victim benefits. Obviously.

Me: But is it really obvious?

Teen: I think it is.

Me:  You know, if a woman becomes pregnant through consensual sex and has a crisis pregnancy it is a toss up as to whether she will have the abortion. But if she’s raped and becomes pregnant then the chances she’ll abort are much lower.

Teen: How much lower?

Me: The odds are about three to one that she won’t abort. It may seem counterintuitive but it really isn’t difficult to understand upon further consideration. She’s just been the victim of a violent crime. She identifies with the evil of violence and is reluctant to inflict it on another human being. So she usually decides to suffer evil rather than inflict it.

Teen: I’ll have to think about that one.

Me: Good. It will give me time to ask you another question.

Teen: Okay.

Me: You believe that the woman impregnated by a rapist will suffer great stress bringing the baby to term. You obviously believe that the abortion will reduce that stress. But your argument turns on the assertion that the stress saved by the abortion will actually outweigh any guilt she might experience over the memory of the abortion for the duration of her life. Is that a fair characterization of your reasoning?

Teen: Yes, that’s fair enough.

Me: Well, how did you arrive at that conclusion? Can you point me to some evidence?

Teen: No, I was just speculating.

Me: Well, you haven’t convinced me that the pregnant woman really benefits. The abortion doesn’t solve the problem. She suffers terribly regardless. But when those conceived in rape are aborted there are multiple tragedies. One human is deprived of life, one adoptive couple loses a child, and others are deprived of ever knowing the innocent child who would have had a long life and formed many friendships. I think that the weight of the evidence is against the abortion. I just cannot see who really benefits from the abortion.

Teen: Well maybe I just have some maturing to do as I think about this issue.

Me: I’m not sure it’s really a thinking problem.

Teen: What do you mean?

Me: You have a steady girlfriend, don’t you?

Teen: Yes, I do.

Me: Are you sleeping with her?

Teen: What? I’m not answering that question.

Me: Well, you don’t have to answer it. You just did. You’re sleeping with her.

Teen: Ok … what does that have to do with the discussion?

Me: Well, everything.

Teen: Please explain.

Me: Every time I am in a discussion of abortion that turns to the so called rape exception, there are two common denominators. First, it is always a guy. Second, he’s always sexually active. If he is sleeping with a lot of women he really supports unrestricted abortion. So he just feigns concern for the rape victim in order to preserve unrestricted abortion so he can have unrestricted sex. Then there are guys like you who are just sleeping with a girlfriend and want to preserve a tiny crack in the wall — a safety valve just in case you get into trouble. The idea of an absolute ban on abortion makes you nervous because you are taking risks you know you ought not to be taking.

Teen: I guess everything you are saying makes sense. Maybe I just need to grow up.

Me: No, not really. You pulled me aside and started this conversation because your conscience was bothering you. You weren’t really worried about the rape issue. You were worried about your own circumstances. That’s why it took courage to initiate the conversation. You knew I wasn’t going say things you wanted to hear. You were mature at the beginning of this conversation and you are even more mature now.

Teen: Thanks.

Me: Now it is time to stop treating you girlfriend like she’s already your wife. It will clear your mind and help you make better decisions on a whole range of moral issues. Remember that it is always better to decide what you believe and let your beliefs guide your behavior. When it’s the other way around, you become lost and you eventually lose your moral compass altogether. You eventually become a law unto yourself.

Teen: Well, how do I explain this to my girlfriend?

Me: Well, that should be easy. Tell her you are not yet ready to be a parent. Tell her that if she became pregnant it would be your child, too. Make sure you look her in the eye and firmly tell her that you could never allow her to abort your child. In other words, start living your life according to rules instead of clinging to exceptions.

A MUST READ FOR MULTIPLE REASONS

Rape Victim Stands Up for Todd Akin

rebeccakiessling_CroppedIt’s hard for men to speak out on the issue of abortion and rape. First, men do not get pregnant, and second, men rarely get raped by women, although it does happen. Rape is not about sex. It’s about power and domination.

So when Todd Akin used the phrase “illegitimate rape,” it sounded chauvinistic. Is there any other kind of rape? Isn’t all rape “illegitimate”? By definition, rape is illegitimate.

I believe the reason so many men like Sean Hannity and Mitt Romney threw Akin under the bus so quickly is that there was no way they were going to win an argument with an already biased pro-Obama media and the pro-abortion attack machine that’s always on the march.

While doing my daily reading to keep up on the news, I can across a post from a victim of rape. Not only was she raped, but she was conceived as the result of a rape. Her name is Rebecca Kiessling, and she writes the following:

“Though I’ve previously written that the comment [by Congressman Akin] was a faux pas and unnecessarily uttered, I’d like to address the underlying implications of such a statement, which was very similar to Ron Paul’s phraseology about an ‘honest rape’ when he too was asked about abortion in the case of rape. Are legislators really to blame for implying that there are false claims of rape? Is there a history of illegitimate rape claims, particularly as it relates to this issue of pregnancy and rape? Do some women fabricate these claims? If so, who is to blame for any tendency in our society to question the veracity of rape victims’ accounts? Skeptical lawmakers, judges, juries, media, and the public, or the women who have cried wolf?

Remember that Rebecca is a victim and product of rape. When she was in law school she was beaten up by her “boyfriend” that left her with a broken jaw, loose teeth, and a crushed upper jaw. This experience led her into family law. She continues:

“As a young attorney, I was idealistic and naïve – absolutely indignant that any judge or Friend of the Court referee would dare question the claims of a victim of domestic violence. After all, she finally had the courage to leave the abusive situation after having been threatened, abused and terrorized. How on Earth could a judge or Friend of the Court referee doubt her account and refuse to grant, or dismiss, a Personal Protection Order? I thought that these people must be uncaring women-haters, showing deference only to men. Maybe they were even abusers themselves?!”

It was through experience that she learned that some of her clients lied about their claims of domestic violence so they could get the upper hand in a divorce or child custody dispute. “Finally, the reality struck me,” she writes. “These judges are skeptical because there are women who cry wolf. That’s when I began seeing the judges in a new light, and my resentment grew toward the women who lied. I saw the reality that my clients who really were abused had a difficult time with the court system because of these other women who were ruining it for the real victims.”

Because she needed extensive reconstructive dental work done, she had been referred to a free service of the Give Back A Smile Program. Because it was free and offered to people of domestic violence, she had to prove she was a “legitimate victim,” that she wasn’t a fraud. The scrutiny was not because the people involved in the program were not sensitive to the issue of rape; it was “the result of women who have cried wolf.”

Do women lie about being rape? Not all of them, and it’s the liars that make it bad for real victims. Rebecca Kiessling mentions “the Duke LaCrosse team false rape claim case.” But there’s an even more famous case that served as the basis of the 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion case — the testimony of Norma McCorvey — Jane Roe. It was her claim of rape that set the case in motion. This is her testimony on January 21, 1998, before the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Federalism, and Property Rights of the Senate Judiciary Committee:

“My name is Norma McCorvey. I’m sorry to admit that I’m the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. The affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court didn’t happen the way I said it did, pure and simple. I lied! Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffey needed an extreme case to make their client look pitiable. Rape seemed to be the ticket. What made rape even worse? A gang rape! It all started out as a little lie, but my little lie grew and became more horrible with each telling.”

The death of tens of millions of pre-born babies is the result of the pro-abortion community lying about rape. Rebecca Kiessling sums it up nicely:

“So the next time you hear anyone complaining about Todd Akin’s ‘legitimate rape’ remark, I want you to remember that abortion rights activists are the women who cried wolf. They are the ones who are squarely responsible for the skepticism we see today regarding women who claim to be pregnant by rape, and they’ve set an example for other women to lie about it too. For those on the left who criticize Akin, I can assuredly call you out as hypocrites.

Let’s petition to get Rebecca Kiessling to speak at the Republican National Convention. Every American should hear her story.
