Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Gives Away Glittery Penis Ornament at Christmas Party

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 12/15/14

Planned Parenthood often goes beyond the pale, but this one may take the cake. During a Christmas party earlier this month, the Maryland affiliate of the Planned Parenthood abortion business gave away a glittery penis-shaped ornament as a prize.Liberalism a mental disorder

The abortion giant suggests that it would make a great decoration to go along with the family Christmas tree. There are no words:

Here’s more:

“All I want for Christmas is a penis shaped holiday decoration…” and so the song goes – wait- what ???

And…now that you are in the spirit of the season, let me introduce you to Planned Parenthood’s glittery phallic shaped holiday decoration. Say what?

PP Holiday Safe Sex

Yes siree – this was the sex-crazed abortion giant’s grand prize during their Sex Trivia Holiday Edition event which took place in Maryland December 4th!

No…this is not a joke. Abortion giant Planned Parenthood which gets 1/2 billion dollars a year in federal tax dollars created this lovely holiday gem.

Since Michael Brown Died, 981 Black Babies Have Died in Abortion in Missouri, But There are No Riots

by Steven Ertelt | Jefferson City, MO | LifeNews.com | 11/26/14

URL of Original Posting Site: http://www.lifenews.com/2014/11/26/since-michael-brown-died-981-black-babies-have-died-in-abortion-in-missouri-but-there-are-no-riots/

Riots are taking place across the country in response to a grand jury’s decision not to indict a Ferguson, Missouri police officer for shooting a black teenager. The decision not to bring charges has renewed difficult racial tensions nationwide.

blackbabyYesterday, LifeNews reported how the Planned Parenthood abortion business fanned the flames of racial divide by aggressively opposing the decision in Ferguson.

Though the events in Ferguson have nothing to do with abortion, Planned Parenthood and its pro-abortion CEO Cecile Richards have been very active on Twitter condemning the decision and stoking the racial divide. Ironically, as the abortion giant jumps in the debate, it makes no mention of the fact that it preys on black Americans and aborts black babies at alarming rates.

Today, a pro-life advocate from Missouri put Planned Parenthood’s targeting of black babies in abortion into perspective. She says that while there are riots over the controversial death of a black teen in Missouri, there are no riots over the death of 981 black babies who have died in Missouri since Michael Brown died. She wonders why no one is speaking up for those black victims of violence via abortion.

From Reverend Katherine’s blog:

Today, my native city of St. Louis is under siege; one black man was shot dead by a police National death rate percentagesofficer because he feared for his own life while on duty. The people of Ferguson and surrounding municipalities including St. Louis are looting, setting fires, rolling cars, etc., because of one person.

Since the day that Michael Brown died [Aug 9, 2014], another 981 Black Missourians have died; 9 per day, every day since then. These Black Missourians were unarmed, innocent, and had no ability to defend themselves and died in plain sight. But there is no outrage, no riots, not one protest.

So, while these rioters are trying to destroy my native city of St. Louis because of the death of one Black man, the rioters overlook the fact that just a couple of miles away at Planned Parenthood on Forest Park Avenue, another 109 Black babies have died since Michael Brown.

Why aren’t the rioters at Planned Parenthood defending themselves and their future generations? Why do they allow themselves to be essentially exterminated by abortion but riot over one?

Everyone’s life has value regardless of how many people die or in what circumstances. Michael Brown’s life had value in the same manner as the lives of black babies killed in abortion, yet we’re outraged by the taking of one life and not the other.

Planned Parenthood Letter: Abortion Won’t Threaten Your Relationship With God

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com 11/21/14

URL of Original Posting Site: http://www.lifenews.com/2014/11/21/planned-parenthood-letter-abortion-wont-threaten-your-relationship-with-god/

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has frequently employed a clergy council to attempt to justify abortion to Christians and the religious community.

plannedparenthood84In June, LifeNews exposed how the abortion giant issued a pastoral letter claiming the Bible justifies abortions.

Planned Parenthood issued a “pastoral letter” through one of its political lobbying arms—the Planned Parenthood Clergy Advocacy Board—saying that “many people wrongly assume that all religious leaders disapprove of abortion,” that “abortion is not even mentioned in the Scriptures,” that “there are clergy…from all religions who support women making this complex decision,” and that Planned Parenthood “will refer you to someone who will be supportive of you and your [abortion] decision.”

In May, LifeNews exposed how Planned Parenthood is using God to target paying customers for abortion.

In a Pastoral Letter to Patients, Planned Parenthood tells women and girls in a crisis pregnancy that there is nothing in the scriptures that says abortion is wrong and that many clergy think abortion is okay.

Now, a new letter highlighted by a pro-life blog shows Planned Parenthood telling women their abortion will not threaten their relationship with God. The author writes:

Now I have discovered a 2nd letter called “Pastoral Letter About Your Abortion Decision”.

Planned Parenthood Pastoral Letter 2 Header

The letter features Planned Parenthood’s RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Reverend Debbie Pitney, Reverend Steve Carlson, Reverend Ken Henry, Reverend Ben Dake, Reverend Melanie Oommen, Reverend Gregory Flint, Reverend Danna Drum Hastings, Reverend Dan Bryant, Reverend Zane Wilson, Reverend Jonathan Weldon, Reverend Jan Fairchild, Reverend Bruce Cameron, and Rabbi Yitzhak Husbands-Hankins.

The letter reads:

Planned Parenthood Pastoral Letter 2 Page 1

Dear Friend,
If you are reading this letter you are probably pregnant or close to someone who is. The people who have signed this letter below come from a variety of religious communities. Our purpose in writing this letter is to support you in whatever course you choose. The presence of the “religious right” has been very strong in its refusal to accept abortion as one of the choices before a woman. We represent religious traditions which all have different opinions about abortion, but we do have some basic understandings that we would like to share with you.

We believe, as religious leaders in our faith communities, that abortion is a morally permissible choice for a woman facing a problem pregnancy. No one thinks abortion is an easy choice. If we lived in a perfect world there might be no problem pregnancies and therefore no difficult choices about abortion. We realize that there are many things that can make a pregnancy difficult. Abortion is chosen for medical, physical, emotional, economic and relational reasons. It is a choice made by women, often in consultation with partners, families and friends. We support you and your ability to choose what is best for you.

We believe, as religious leaders in our faith communities, that ultimately no one can make the choice for or against abortion except the woman herself. No one knows your life as you do. We trust that any decision you make will be made after serious thought and contemplation of the alternatives. You will make the best decision you can. We do not believe that it is appropriate for other persons or other faiths to judge you or the correctness of your decision. God gave us all the ability to think and pray and feel and choose. We are called to make the best decisions we can in our personal circumstances. If you have thoughtfully decided to have an abortion then you should be at peace with your decision.

We believe, as religious leaders in our faith communities, that the decision to have an abortion will not threaten your relationship with God. We believe that God is a participant in the struggles of human life. We believe that God is compassionate and does not expect any of us to lead perfect lives. We believe the biblical record shows us a God who loves human beings regardless of our strengths, skills and aptitudes, and loves us equally despite our failings, mistakes and choices. God is not angry with you and will not punish you for any choice you have or might make. In fact, we believe that God loves you and will be with you helping you find strength and understanding and comfort for living through days of doubt and distress.com 04

We believe, as religious leaders in our faith communities, that your life needs to go on from here, and that you are deserving of support and assistance. We know that the decision to have an abortion is a difficult one. You may wonder from time to time if you made the right choice. You may be sorrowful, doubtful or depressed because of your choice. These are natural emotions. Experiencing this does not mean your decision was a bad one. It may mean that you are a sensitive person. Nevertheless these feelings may also mean that you could benefit from talking with someone about your decision. It is important for you to find peace. If you have bad moments, we encourage you to seek support from professionals. If you think that it would be helpful for you to talk to a minister, Planned Parenthood keeps a list of clergy who would be supportive of you and the decision you have made. They will see you for no charge and not pressure you to become part of their congregations. We want you to have a peaceful road ahead.
God Bless you!

Thank you for purchasing an abortion and God bless you.com 05

Five Reasons Why You’re Too Dumb to Vote

If you would like to be filled with despair for the prospects of democracy, spend a few minutes attempting to decipher the psephological musings of Lena Dunham, the distinctly unappealing actress commissioned by Planned Parenthood to share with her presumably illiterate following “5 Reasons Why I Vote (and You Should, Too).” That’s 21st-century U.S. politics in miniature: a half-assed listicle penned by a half-bright celebrity and published by a gang of abortion profiteers.

It is an excellent fit, if you think about it: Our national commitment to permanent, asinine, incontinent juvenility, which results in, among other things, a million or so abortions a year, is not entirely unrelated to the cultural debasement that is the only possible explanation for the career of Lena Dunham. A people mature enough to manage the relationship between procreative input and procreative output without recourse to the surgical dismemberment of living human organisms probably would not find much of interest in the work of Miss Dunham. But we are a nation of adult children so horrified by the prospect of actual children that we put one in five of them to death for such excellent reasons as the desire to fit nicely into a prom dress.

It’s not for nothing that, on the precipice of 30, Miss Dunham is famous for a television series called Girls rather than one called Women. She might have gone one better and called it Thumbsuckers. (The more appropriate title Diapers would terrify her demographic.)

Miss Dunham, reflecting celebrity culture at large, makes a fetish of voting, and it is easy to see why: Voting is the most shallow gesture of citizenship there is, the issuance of a demand — a statement that “this is how the world should be,” as Miss Dunham puts it — imposing nothing in the way of reciprocal responsibility. Power without responsibility — Stanley Baldwin would not have been surprised that Miss Dunham and likeminded celebrities think of voting in terms of their sex lives. Miss Dunham, in an earlier endorsement of Barack Obama, compared voting in the presidential election to losing one’s virginity — you want it to be someone special. Understood that way, voting is nothing other than a reiteration of the original infantile demand: “I Want!”

As a procedure for sorting out complex policy issues, voting is of distinctly limited value: If you wanted to know whether the compressive strength of a particular material were sufficient to support a bridge over Interstate 20, you would not go about solving that problem by bundling that question with 10,000 other equally precise and complex but largely unrelated questions, presenting the bundle of questions to the least-informed few million people you could identify, and then proceeding with whatever solution 50 percent +1 of them preferred. That would be a bad way to build a bridge — a homicidal way, in fact — and though it is a necessary instrument of accountability in a democratic republic, voting properly plays a very limited role. For instance, we have a Bill of Rights, which could with equal accuracy be called the List of Stuff You Idiots Can’t Be Trusted To Vote On. A majority of Americans don’t like free speech? Too bad, Harry Reid.

But for Miss Dunham et al., this isn’t a question of citizenship — it’s a therapeutic matter. Voting, she promises, will offer “a sense of accomplishment,” knowledge that one has done the right thing, even “joy.” But checking a box is the most trivial accomplishment imaginable; having done so is no guarantee that one has done the right thing, inasmuch as voters routinely make bad decisions for evil reasons; and one suspects that Miss Dunham means something different and less by “joy” than did, say, Beethoven or Walt Whitman. “I wore fishnets and a little black dress to vote,” she writes, “then walked around with a spring in my slinky step. It lasted for days. I can summon it when I’m blue. It’s more effective than exercise or ecstasy or cheesecake.” And that of course is the highest purpose of our ancient constitutional order: to provide adult children with pleasures exceeding those of cheesecake or empathogenic phenethylamines.

Miss Dunham’s “all about me!” attitude toward the process of voting inevitably extends to the content of what she votes for, which is, in her telling, mostly about her sex life. Hammering down hard on the Caps Lock key, she writes: “The crazy and depressing truth is that there are people running for office right now who could actually affect your life. PARTICULARLY your sex life. PARTICULARLY if you’re a woman. Yup.”

    Yup? Nope.

Those of us who have been working against various mandates imposed by the Affordable Care Act are as a matter of fact attempting to extricate ourselves from involvement in Lena Dunham’s sex life, the details of which we would gratefully leave to her own idiosyncratic management. It is the so-called Affordable Care Act that has involved us in subsidizing birth control, abortifacients, surgical abortions, and who knows what else, for the strong, powerful, self-actualized American woman who cannot figure out how to walk into Walgreens, lay down the price of a latte, and walk out with her own birth-control pills, no federal intervention necessary. The very conservative editors of this magazine are in fact trying to make it easier for them to do so with over-the-counter birth control. I suspect that Miss Dunham does not know very many conservatives, so allow me to pass along the message: We really, truly, sincerely do not wish to be involved in your sex life.

I would like to suggest, as gently as I can, that if you are voting as an act of self-gratification, if you do not understand the role that voting in fact plays in a constitutional republic, and if you need Lena Dunham to tell you why and how you should be voting — you should not vote. If you get your politics from actors and your news from television comedians — you should not vote. There’s no shame in it, your vote is statistically unlikely to affect the outcome of an election, and there are many much more meaningful ways to serve your country and your fellow man: Volunteer at a homeless shelter; join the Marine Corps; become a nun; start a business.

And maybe think about acting like men and women rather than boys and Girls.

The Supreme Court on Thursday struck down a 35-foot protest-free zone outside abortion clinics in Massachusetts.

The justices were unanimous in ruling that extending a buffer zone 35 feet from clinic entrances violates the First Amendment rights of protesters.

Chief Justice John Roberts said authorities have less intrusive ways to deal with problems outside the clinics and noted that most of the problems reported by police and the clinics occurred outside the Planned Parenthood facility in Boston, and only on Saturdays when the largest crowds typically gather.

“For a problem shown to arise only once a week in one city at one clinic, creating 35-foot buffer zones at every clinic across the Commonwealth is hardly a narrowly tailored solution,” Roberts said.

National death rate percentagesWhile the court was unanimous in the outcome, Roberts joined with the four liberal justices to strike down the buffer zone on narrow grounds. In a separate opinion, Justice Antonin Scalia criticized Roberts’ opinion for carrying forward “this court’s practice of giving abortion-rights advocates a pass when it comes to suppressing the free-speech rights of their opponents.”

The case began when Boston-area grandmother Eleanor McCullen and other abortion opponents sued over the limits on their activities at Planned Parenthood health centers in Boston, Springfield and Worcester. At the latter two sites, the protesters say they have little chance of reaching patients arriving by car because they must stay 35 feet from the entrance to those buildings’ parking lots.

Planned Parenthood provides health exams for women, cancer screenings, tests for sexually transmitted diseases, birth control and abortions at its clinics.

The organization said that the buffer zone has significantly reduced the harassment of patients and clinic employees. Before the 35-foot zone went into effect in 2007, protesters could stand next to the entrances and force patients to squeeze by, Planned Parenthood said.

Before 2007, a floating buffer zone kept protesters from approaching unwilling listeners any closer than 6 feet if they were within 18 feet of the clinic. The floating zone was modeled after a Colorado law that the Supreme Court upheld. That decision was not called into question in Thursday’s ruling.

Clinic officials said they are most concerned about safety because of past incidents of violence. In 1994, a gunman killed two receptionists and wounded five employees and volunteers at a Planned Parenthood facility and another abortion clinic in nearby Brookline. The most recent killing was in 2009, when Dr. George Tiller, who performed abortions, was shot in a church in Wichita, Kansas.

Abortion protesters said that other state and federal laws already protect health center workers and patients, as well as access to clinics.

Mark Rienzi, who represented the protesters at the Supreme Court, said, “The government cannot reserve its public sidewalks for Planned Parenthood, as if their message is the only one women should be allowed to hear. Today’s decision confirms that the First Amendment is for everyone, and that the government cannot silence peaceful speakers. That result is good news for Eleanor McCullen, and it is great news for the women she helps.”

Shock Video Catches Planned Parenthood Teaching Teens S&M Sex: Gagging, Whipping and Asphyxiation

    http://www.lifenews.com/2014/06/10/shock-video-catches-planned-parenthood-teaching-teens-sm-sex-gagging-whipping-and-asphyxiation/

    by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 6/10/14 9:40 AM

A shocking new video Live Action released today catches the Planned Parenthood abortion business teaching teenagers about S&M-based sexual relationships and concepts such as gagging, whipping and asphyxiation.

In a series of undercover audits, Live Action investigators documented Planned Parenthood counselors and nurses advising our investigators, who the Planned Parenthood staffers thought were minors, on how to practice torture sex.

In the videos, Planned Parenthood counselors encourage undercover investigators posting as 15 and 16-year-old teens, to engage in the sadomasochistic practices, telling the underage teens  “if it’s consensual, it’s OK… it’s totally OK.”

“What we’re about to release shows a systemic, institutional problem in America’s largest abortion corporation,” Lila Rose, Live Action’s president, stated. “It’s not a matter of ‘don’t judge,’ but rather explicit endorsement of violent and harmful sexual practices to boys and girls as young as fifteen years old.”

plannedparenthoodexposeThe group complains: “Planned Parenthood consistently fights any law requiring parental consent or involvement for minors seeking sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions.  PP’s website encourages teens to circumvent their parents and the law.”

“Taxpayers, and especially parents, need to know where their money is going,” Rose said.  “This funding is not optional – it’s a compulsory, government-enforced extraction going toward extremely questionable programs and dangerous advice for our nation’s teens.”

Rose expects Live Action’s upcoming investigative releases to serve as “a wake-up call for America’s parents.”  “This is not a partisan issue.  Whether people are liberal or conservative, or even whether they’re pro-life or pro-choice, I think we’re going to see a lot of common ground in the outrage over what we’re about to show people.”

The following is the trailer video previewing the series of expose’ videos that are forthcoming:

    sexed

    Live Action continues:

Planned Parenthood of Hudson Peconic sponsored a training seminar, designed for educators of teenagers, titled “50 Shades of Safe.”  The seminar offered workshops/classes on “how a BDSM relationship is successfully navigated between sexual partners” and on the “elements of a healthy BDSM relationship.”

The official Planned Parenthood website lists BD (bondage and discipline) and SM (sadomasochism) under its Sex & Sexuality – “Understanding Sexual Activity — at a Glance” page without any warnings or safety objections: “Here are plannedparenthood73some examples of less common sexual behaviors: SM (sadomasochism) — the use of domination and/or pain for sexual arousal.  BD (bondage and discipline) — sexual role play that includes elements of SM.”

Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million a year from taxpayers, in the name of so-called sex education and health. Furthermore, under ObamaCare, Planned Parenthood has announced that it will receive undisclosed funds through the $75-million-a-year PREP (Personal Responsibility and Education Program), with 15 affiliates already having received grants.

Planned Parenthood’s stance on what kind of sexual activity is good or not: “Just because a sexual behavior isn’t common or some people disapprove of it or the reasons people enjoy it, doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. Many people enjoy less common kinds of sex, but they are often less likely to discuss it with others. One way to think about uncommon kinds of sex is this: if no one is hurt by the kind of sex someone might enjoy, than [sic] it is probably okay.”

Planned Parenthood equates unrestricted sexual activity with “freedom, equality and dignity” according to their “Declaration of Sexual Rights.” Abortions and hormone drugs are listed as entitlements that contribute to “the freedom, equality and dignity of all people” – including teens and children.

Planned Parenthood covers up the sexual abuse of young girls by offering them clandestine sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions, and coaching these young ladies on how to keep the activity secret from their parents.

Planned Parenthood Abortion Doc Surrenders License After Sexually Molesting Patients

    http://www.lifenews.com/2014/05/02/planned-parenthood-abortion-doc-surrenders-licenses-after-sexually-molesting-patients/

    by Cheryl Sullenger | Boston, MA | LifeNews.com | 5/2/14 10:59 AM

A former Planned Parenthood abortionist has surrendered his Massachusetts medical license amid allegations that he sexually molested patients – many under anesthesia – during fertility treatments at Fertility Centers of New England.

However, yesterday’s story in the Boston Globe, which reported on Roger Ian Hardy’s legal woes, failed to mention that Hardy once worked for Planned Parenthood where he had similar access to women as he had at a fertility clinic where he molested and inappropriately touched women over a period of two decades.

“You won’t read about his connections to Planned Parenthood in the Boston Globe, but you should!” said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue. “Sexual abuse of patients and staianhardyff is more common than people realize among those who work as abortionists. These men have access to women when they are extremely vulnerable. It’s an unspeakable betrayal. Adding to the scandal is the reticence of medical boards to take action when women bravely come forward to file complaints. Hardy’s situation is a case in point.”

In 1991, Hardy began moonlighting for Planned Parenthood in Santa Clara, California, then moved to Massachusetts in 1992 when he began providing abortions for Planned Parenthood of League of Massachusetts, Inc. In the late 1990’s, documents show he was accused of at least one case of medical malpractice as evidenced in a suit filed against him and Planned Parenthood related to an incomplete abortion. Why he left Planned Parenthood is unknown, but the Boston Globe article published on May 1, 2014, indicates that Hardy’s abhorrent behavior stretched back as far as 20 years, which would include his stint with Planned Parenthood in Massachusetts.

In 2004, a woman filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine alleging that Hardy took advantage of her while she was under anesthesia at a fertility clinic after discovering suspicious physical injuries the following day. The Board sent her complaint to Hardy, who wrote a long letter denying the charges and suggested that the woman’s injuries were self-inflicted. [Read the documents related to this complaint. Warning: sexually graphic content.]

The Board closed the complaint without action. The woman wrote a letter back complaining that the Board was not doing its job, but no further action was taken, until recently.

That 2004 complaint was revisited after 18 witnesses came forward to testify against him about his inappropriate sexual behavior not only with his patients, but also female members of his staff. The Board has since determined that Hardy had indeed sexually abused the women who had come forward in 2004.

In addition to surrendering his Massachusetts medical license, Hardy’s licenses have been suspended in Maine and New Hampshire.

Part two of the Boston Globe’s exposé
on Hardy mentions the “code of silence” that protected him. One employee was upset when she saw Hardy fondling a patient’s breast but was told not to report it if she did not want to be known as a “disgruntled worker.”

“Ironically, the Boston Globe is part of that that ‘code of silence’ because not once in two articles did it warn former patients of Planned Parenthood that there is a possibility that they also may have been victims of Hardy’s perverted practices,” said Newman. “It appears that the paper is shielding Planned Parenthood’s abortion business from scrutiny when women have a right to know the truth.”

Operation Rescue has found that even when clinic workers do have the courage to report such abuses, often the medical boards turn a blind eye or just slap the offender on the wrist and send him back into the exam room, which only ensures that the abuse will continue.

“If the Board had taken the 2004 complaint against this man seriously, perhaps it would have spared countless women from being abused,” said Newman. “We’ve seen this kind of behavior with abortionists more times that we can stomach.”

    • Oklahoma Nareshkumar Patel was charged with rape after several women came forward with horrific stories of his appalling sexual conduct with abortion patients and clinic workers. Unfortunately, Patel was inexplicably exonerated despite the overwhelming evidence against him.
    • Maryland abortionist Harold O. Alexander was found to have “crossed sexual boundaries” with patients at his abortion business in Forestville. That and a slew of other violations earned him just a three-month suspension in 2012.
    • Former Planned Parenthood abortionist Timothy Liveright was accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior with patients at a Delaware Planned Parenthood in 2013. He received only a public reprimand.
    • Former California abortionist Laurence Reich was convicted of raping and molesting his female patients in the 1980s. With his license restored in the 1990’s Reich went to work at an abortion clinic where he had unrestricted access to vulnerable women. Once again, he was caught sexually abusing his abortion patients and surrendered his license in 2007, yet when his clinic was raided by police a year later, they found Reich still at work doing abortions.
    • Maryland abortionist Mansour G. Panah’s long history of discipline started in 1988 when he was accused of fondling and attempting to kiss his patients on the mouth. He was disciplined once again for unwanted sexual contact with patients in 1995. One woman received as many as three breast examinations in one visit for no medical reason. When asked why the need for repeated examinations, Panah simply expressed admiration for the woman’s breasts. His Maryland medical license remains active.
    • Houston abortionist Douglas Karpen was said to have engaged in sexual harassment in accusations made by his former employees. They reported that he would also touch abortion patients he found attractive in inappropriate ways. Their complaints were dismissed by the Texas Board of Medicine.
    • In 2012, a filed suit alleging patient molestation and employee sexual harassment at Lovejoy Surgicenter in Portland, Oregon. The surgical nurse accused of the molestations was fired and the clinic continues to operate without further action.
    • In one of the few cases where an abortionist was actually prosecuted, Arizona abortionist Brian Finkel was sentenced to 35 years in prison for raping and otherwise sexually abusing over 100 of his abortion patients.

“Our list of abusers could go on and on, but the point is that authorities often look the other way when receiving complaints that women have suffered from sexual abuse and harassment at the hands of abortionists,” said Newman. “Boards should show more respect for the clinic workers and patients who have the courage to come forward, and take their allegations more seriously. That could help prevent dozens, if not hundreds of women from being raped, molested, and otherwise abused.”

Because clinic workers and patients often fear reprisals if they report abusive behavior, Operation Rescue offers the Abortion Whistleblowers Program, which operates in a way similar to Crime Stoppers. Operation Rescue offers a $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of abortionists who are breaking the law.

“People like Hardy and his ilk should be criminally prosecuted for their crimes and we hope the authorities in Massachusetts are looking into doing just that. We hope that our reward offer will encourage both clinic workers and patients to come forward and blow the whistle on abortionists’ abusive or otherwise criminal activity,” said Newman. “We are constantly working to get abortionists like Hardy off the street and into jail where they belong so women have fewer predators to fear. Those who do come forward are heroes, in my opinion.”

GIRLS IN THE SHADOWS: Sex Trafficking, Abortion, Pornography, Drugs and Millions of Slaves

     http://clashdaily.com/2014/03/girls-shadows-sex-trafficking-abortion-pornography-drugs-millions-slaves/#3IiF6w5ZDzlbP4LW.99

    By Allan Erickson / 30 March 2014

sex_trafficking_child_victimsImagine a 12-year-old little girl, enticed by “friends” with the promise of a career in modeling, movies or show business.  She is told she can make a great deal of money posing for “fashion” photos.  Promises are made about riches and fame. Slowly she is lured into the world of pornography, drug abuse, and prostitution.  And if she tries to escape she is drugged even more, beaten, imprisoned, and sometimes killed.

Little boys are victimized as well.

According to the Polaris Project, there may be as many as 27 million people enslaved by traffickers worldwide, one million of these, children, sold into the sex trade.

The connections between human trafficking, pornography, abortion and the drug trade are obvious.  Keep in mind each is a business—-some legal, some illegal—-and each business generates enormous profits.  Equally obvious, the use of drugs to lower inhibitions and enforce compliance is useful in recruiting slaves and promoting pornography, which is useful in developing new customers for the prostitution trade.  Abortion feeds off all of it. After all, child sex slaves and prostitutes lose their profitability if pregnant.

The direct link between sex trafficking and government-financed abortion has been established by pro-life activists.

    Excerpt:

In an undercover investigation, LiveAction sent actors into seven facilities, posing as a prostitute and pimp to inquire about Planned Parenthood’s services. During the conversation, they revealed that they were sex workers and even that they worked with girls as young as 14. According to the law, sex trafficking is considered a federal crime punishable by imprisonment of 10 years to life. But Planned Parenthood didn’t comply with the law. Instead they offered support, secrecy and cover-up . . .

Lawlessness is the norm within Planned Parenthood.  One former clinic director accuses the abortion provider of risky medical practices and financial malfeasance, insisting taxpayer dollars support abortion.  Fraudulent claims for reimbursement from Medicaid is another accusation from a former Planned Parenthood director.   Still another former director says Planned Parenthood regularly provided defective contraception, intentionally putting girls at risk of pregnancy in order to increase abortion revenue.

Of course supporters of Planned Parenthood stand against notification of parents prior to any abortion procedure on a minor. Can’t have parental rights trumping profits.  No wonder the friends of Planned Parenthood resist efforts to educate women about the reality of human life in the womb, and the terrible damage done to women who suffer abortion.  Abortion is a women’s health issue, a matter of reproductive rights, not harmful to women, and not the killing of innocent human life.

    Tyranney Alert

When government funds an organization conspiring with criminals to defraud taxpayers, and all of it supports the profit motives of abortionists, traffickers, pornographers and pimps, people have a right to be outraged and demand correction.  This president and Democrats in power have long insisted Planned Parenthood receive government funding.  They have turned a blind eye to the damage done by pornography, refusing to regulate it behind a false argument calling such regulation censorship.  Democrats have promoted and instituted abortion on demand, financed by taxpayers.  And can anyone say Democrats are serious about doing something about drug abuse when the push has always been legalization?

Conservatives, on the other hand, have stood against illegal drugs, prostitution, Planned Parenthood, abortion and the efforts throughout culture to hyper-sexualize everyone, youth especially.

In light of these realities, who do you think is truly against trafficking, and which party is actually engaged in a war on women?

New Abortion Clinic Closures Means More Babies Will be Saved From Abortions

    by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 3/7/14 11:47 AM

The ever-decreasing number of abortion clinics continues its decline with the announcement of the closing of abortion clinics in Texas, Florida, and California.

Whole Women’s Health announced this week that its surgical abortion clinics in McAllen and Beaumont have permanently closed due to the new law passed last year that requires abortion facilities to meet minimum safety requirements, including hiring only abortionists that maintain local hospital privileges. The McAllen location had “temporarily” closed in January.

prolifepicture2Operation Rescue had lodged complaints about the Whole Women’s Health clinics in McAllen, Beaumont, and Austin after discovering they were improperly dumping “identifiable” aborted baby remains a during an undercover investigation in 2011. This led the Austin and McAllen locations to be heavily fined.

In addition, the North Florida Women’s Health & Counseling Service in Tallahassee has announced in public notices that it will be closing permanently on March 31. That surgical abortion clinic has operated continuously since 1981.

Surgical abortion clinics are not the only ones closing. Planned Parenthood’s office in Sunnyvale, California, which offered only medication abortions (RU-486) shut down in January.

“We are on track to see another great year. Every time an abortion clinic closes, lives are saved because women have a greater opportunity to seek other means of coping with the challenges they face. This is great news for women and their babies,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.

Also out of business for good is Lester Minto’s Reproductive Services in Harlington, Texas. Minto stopped abortions in November due to the new Texas law, but continued to see abortion patients who had taken abortion pills procured in Mexico or other locations. This week he announced on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show that he has closed his clinic permanently and is selling his building.

Minto’s clinic joins real estate market along with the former New Women All Women abortion building in Birmingham, Alabama, which was put up for sale this week.

So far in 2014, seven surgical abortion clinics in four states have announced closure with one abortion pill clinic closing. Those states are California, Florida, Texas, and Iowa.

One of those abortion clinics, the Family Planning Associates in Montclair, California, remains closed as of this writing, but has obtained a potential new location, but has yet to clear several legal hurdles before reopening.

This continues the trend of abortion clinic closures documented by Operation Rescue, which maintains the most accurate list of abortion clinics in the U.S. In 2013, a record 87 surgical abortion clinics and 6 abortion pill-only clinics closed.

The closures are attributed to new laws that are weeding out abortion clinics that cannot meet minimum standards. Also, an increase in pro-life sentiment and greater reporting of abortion abuses by pro-life groups have also contributed to the closures.

“Along with laws that are putting abortion quacks out of business, more and more women are simply rejecting abortion. When demand for services drops, businesses go under, and that is what we are now seeing in the abortion cartel,” said Newman. “This trend reflects a fundamental change, which we believe will ultimately lead to an end of abortion in this country.”

The Girl Scouts Are Caught Between Abortionists and People Of Virtue

    Girl Scouts Threaten Pro-life Groups

The Girl Scouts are getting vindictive.

Angered over the conservative backlash to the Girl Scouts partnerships with Planned Parenthood and other abortion service groups, the Girl Scouts have begun threatening pro-life groups.

When conservatives first began learning of the Girl Scouts connections with Planned Parenthood it caused quite a controversy – as thousands of pro-life families recreate with the Girl Scouts. When the Girl Scouts made it clear that they would not only continue their partnership with abortionists but also celebrate them, it became clear that pro-life families would have to part ways with the organization.

Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation, who recently gave the keynote address at the March for Life Rose Dinner in Washington, D.C., is a champion for adoption over abortion.

“The Girl Scouts still proclaim to be honest and courageous, while denying their continual collaboration with the nation’s largest and undeniably dishonest abortion chain,” Bomberger told Breitbart News. “Abortion doesn’t make the world a better place, unless you agree with the deeply racist and elitist pseudoscience of eugenics – the foundation of Planned Parenthood.”

Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League commented to Breitbart News, “As the father of six girls, I’m extremely disappointed by the Girl Scouts’ increasing collaboration with Planned Parenthood, an organization that aborts over 150,000 unborn baby girls every year.”

Similarly, Jim Sedlak of the American Life League told Breitbart News, “Through their continued support of the Culture of Death, the Girl Scouts have betrayed their heritage and their future. There is nobody who should purchase Girl Scout cookies to fund this group.”

girlscoutsThis collective boycott and the damage it’s done to the Girl Scouts’ bottom line has led the Girl Scouts to move against conservative groups supporting the boycott.

LifeNews editor Steve Ertelt announced Monday that he had received a letter threatening legal action. In it, Girl Scout executive Brian Crawford complained about “articles that outline alleged ties to Planned Parenthood” and that “GSUSA has an obligation to protect the Girl Scout name.” Crawford insisted, “Girl Scouts of the USA does not have a partnership or any relationship with Planned Parenthood and does not intend to initiate one.” He demanded that LifeNews cease using the Girl Scout logo.

     Steve Ertelt told Breitbart News:

The Girl Scouts are clearly threatened by LifeNews’ reporting on their multiple links to Planned Parenthood, their hiring of abortion activists to key positions, and their promotion of abortion advocates like Wendy Davis. Their letter is a not-so-veiled intimidation tactic designed to get LifeNews to stop our reporting and to get pro-life groups to stop boycotting them.

It’s time for us to take a stand against the Girl Scouts, Planned Parenthood, and their attempt to intimidate pro-life organizations.

    Three Important Articvles from WWW.LifeNews.com

Study: Teen Pregnancy Rate Drops by Half When Planned Parenthood Leaves Town

    by Paul Rondeau | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/15/14 3:50 PM

A study across the Texas Panhandle, using government statistics from 16 counties, found that the teen pregnancy rates among 13-17-year olds from 1994 through 2010 showed dramatic declines even as Planned Parenthood Federation of America facilities in the region shut down—dwindling from 19 family planning facilities to zero.

For decades, PPFA has publicly maintained that it serves a key healthcare role for the American public by educating teens on “safe sex,” providing contraceptives, and reducing pregnancies. The breakthrough study titled “A Longitudinal Analysis of PPFA and Teen Pregnancy in the Texas Panhandle” refutes that claim. Found within a meta-analysis of Planned Parenthood, the report states that the teen pregnancy rate “reached its lowest point in recorded history two years after disaffiliation of the last two remaining facilities.”

The study analyzed data obtained from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Vital Statistics Annual Report, Table 14B, for the years 1994 through 2010:  “In 1996, the year before opposition to Planned Parenthood began, the average teen pregnancy rate in the 16 counties where Planned Parenthood operated facilities was 43.6 per 1,000 girls aged 13 to 17. By 2002, the rate had dropped to 28.6. In 2008, the year the last two Planned Parenthood facilities disaffiliated from PPFA (Planned Parenthood Federation of America), the teen pregnancy rate was 27.2. And in 2010, two years after the Texas Panhandle became Planned Parenthood-free, the teen pregnancy rate had fallen to 24.1.”

The raw data gleaned from government files shows that with a teen population stable at about 13,000, the actual number of teen pregnancies fell from an average of 544 per year in the five years before Planned Parenthood started closing its doors to an average of 373 in the last five years.

PPFA’s fact sheet, Reducing Teen Pregnancy, proposes to reduce the quantity of teen pregnancies through a number of initiatives. To that end, it calls for initiatives that:

    • Incorporate responsible, medically accurate sexuality education and information in the schools and in the media.

    • Incorporate improvements in funding for and access to family planning services.

    • Incorporate youth development programs to improve the life options of impoverished teens.

PPFA scorns abstinence-based education and praises the Obama administration for effectively defunding it: “In 2009, recognizing that evidence-based sex education programs were effective in promoting sexual health among teenagers, the Obama administration transferred funds from the community-based Abstinence Education Program and budgeted $114.5 million to support evidence-based sex education programs across the country.”

The report does not specifically claim that PPFA presence in a community actually drives up teen pregnancy. The report simply states “The Texas Panhandle statistics show conclusively that neither access to Planned Parenthood ‘reproductive healthcare’ clinics nor PPFA ‘evidence-based, comprehensive sex education’ is a necessary component in reducing the teen pregnancy rate.”

However, when pressed on this point, Jim Sedlak, a recognized expert on PPFA and vice president of American Life League—the organization that underwrote the five-part meta-study in which the Panhandle report is contained—did point to Planned Parenthood’s business model.

“Based on the retention rates that Planned Parenthood published routinely until the mid-1990s, it consistently lost 43 percent of its customers annually. Today, PPFA is a $1 billion business,” said Sedlak. “The only demographic big enough to furnish that many new customers every year is teens and young adults who engage in frequent sex. Planned Parenthood can make millions on preaching safe sex. It goes broke on abstinence.”

Under Obamacare, Planned Parenthood was first in line to start receiving funds for the comprehensive sex education program—funds totaling $375 million.

The PPFA fact sheet also claims that “influential minorities promote unrealistic, abstinence-only programs and parental consent requirements . . . an unrealistic emphasis is placed on preventing adolescent sexual behavior which overlooks the fact that sexual expression is an essential component of healthy human development for individuals of all ages.”

Planned Parenthood argues that comprehensive sex education, including an introduction to homosexuality and all its variations, must start in kindergarten. From kindergarten through college, Planned Parenthood promotes sexual rights, sexual freedom, and even dangerous sexual acts such as anal sex and fisting.

To see where this philosophy leads, one need only look at International Planned Parenthood Federation.  It promotes “sexual rights” for people under 18 years of age, even as young 10.

While PPFA decries the spread of HIV/AIDS it simultaneously fights for laws protecting homosexuality and against laws requiring people who are HIV positive to disclose that information to sex partners.

IPPF argues that laws requiring disclosure of the potentially lethal infection to a new sexual partner violates of the sexual rights of the HIV infected person.

So, does PPFA promote “reproductive health” or just peddle sex?

One thing for sure: to Planned Parenthood, sexual pleasure is more important than life itself.

House Committee Passes Bill to Completely Ban Taxpayer Funding of Abortions

    by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/15/14 5:32 PM

The House Judiciary Committee today approved legislation that will put in place a complete ban on taxpayer funding of abortions that ensures abortions are not directly funded in any federal governmental program or department.

The legislation combines several policies that must be enacted every year in Congressional battles and puts them into law where they will not be in jeopardy of being overturned every time Congress changes hands from pro-life lawmakers to those who support abortions.

The bill has been around a few years but has only been approved in the House thanks to a pro-abortion Senate. On May 4, 2011, the House passed HR 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, on a 251-175 vote with Republicans voting 235-0 for the bill and Democrats voting 175-16 against it.

The House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice will hold a hearing on H.R. 7, the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” this week.

Congressman Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican who is the lead sponsor of the bill, informed the House that a study by the Guttmacher Institute, the pro-abortion former research apparatus of Planned Parenthood, released a study noting that one-quarter of women who otherwise would have had abortions chose to give birth when taxpayer dollars were not available to pay for abortions of their children.

The Family Research Council is a strong supporter of the bill and FRC president Tony Perkins applauded Smith’s leadership.

“Chris Smith’s leadership in the cause of life has been historic. Most Americans, regardless of their view on abortion, oppose government funding for abortion. The ‘No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act’ will make sure that the Hyde Amendment applies across the government, including fixing the abortion funding provisions in Obamacare. H.R. 7 will restore government neutrality on abortion,” he told LifeNews.

“Abortion causes enduring pain to millions of American women, and the revelation that so many of them are so young is tragic. Bringing help and healing to America’s young women and their families has to be coupled with public policies that will curtail this victimization,” Perkins noted.

Smith spoke on the House floor during debate over the last version of the bill about what he said was growing public opinion against abortion. He also praised women who regret having terminated their pregnancies and speak out against abortions.

“For decades, a patchwork of short-term policies have prevented abortion funding in many programs authorized by Congress, but it is time for a single, government-wide permanent protection against taxpayer funding for elective abortion,” Smith said. “Abortion is lethal violence against children and exploitation of women. This legislation would establish a comprehensive policy prohibiting public funding for elective abortion in all federal programs.”

A majority of Americans object to the use of taxpayer money for funding abortion, according to numerous polls — including a survey CNN conducted in early April showing Americans oppose public funding of abortion by a margin of 61% to 35%.

The bill will also mitigate concerns about abortion funding in the various loopholes in the Obamacare national health care bill that various pro-life organizations warned about during debate on the law. The legislation did not contain language banning funding of abortions in its provisions and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act would fix that problem.

The National Right to Life Committee sent a letter to House members urging support for the legislation that explains how the bill will help:

“Regrettably, however, the 111th Congress enacted the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). During consideration of that legislation, language was proposed (the Stupak-Pitts Amendment) to apply the principles of the Hyde Amendment to the multitude of programs created by the bill, and the House initially approved that language – but no such provision was part of the enacted law, due to opposition from President Obama and the Senate majority. Consequently, the enacted PPACA contains multiple provisions authorizing funding of abortion and funding of health plans that cover abortion.”

The National Right to Life letter also commented on another lesser-known provision of the tax-funded abortion ban — it’s language to protect health care professionals who don’t want to be involved in abortions.

“The bill would codify the principles of the Hyde-Weldon Amendment, which has been appended to the original Hyde Amendment on every Health and Human Services appropriations bill since 2004. This provision would solidify important protections for health care providers who do not wish to participate in providing abortions – which is especially important in light of the Obama Administration’s February 23, 2011 action rescinding the conscience protection regulation issued by the Bush Administration.”

Also, before the vote in 2011, the White House said President Barack Obama would add to his lengthy pro-abortion record by vetoing the legislation. Obama would veto HR 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, with the White House saying the president opposes the bill because it would supposedly make it tougher for women to obtain abortion coverage from private insurance companies thereby expanding the current Hyde Amendment, which only limits tax-funded abortions under Medicaid, beyond its current reach.Chris Smith

Irony: Kagan Compares Abortion Clinics to Slaughterhouses at Supreme Court

    by Matthew Clark | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/15/14 6:09 PM

Do pro-life Americans have free speech rights – the right to quietly talk to willing passerby’s on the street corner – or are the public sidewalks surrounding abortion clinics somehow speech free zones impervious to the protections of the First Amendment?

That is the precise question considered by the Supreme Court today in McCullen v. Coakley.

Pro-abortion legislators in Massachusetts passed legislation making it illegal for anyone to speak on the public sidewalks – otherwise known as exercising the First Amendment – within 35 feet of abortion clinics.  Illegal that is for everyone but employees of the abortion clinics.

Today’s case was the epitome of the abortion distortion – the fact that abortion changes the calculus of longstanding legal principles.

It is axiomatic in Supreme Court jurisprudence that public sidewalks are open public fora.  In other words, your free speech rights are guaranteed on public sidewalks.  For the government to prove otherwise, they would have to show that any restriction is based on some overwhelming or compelling government interest and that the restriction they wish to place on that speech is limited or narrowly tailored in such a way that it imposes the smallest imposition reasonably possible on your free speech.

Just because the government doesn’t like your speech or agree with it does not mean that they get to restrict it – not liking it is not a compelling interest and banning it is not narrowly tailored.

That’s First Amendment law in a nutshell … in every case that is but abortion.  Regarding abortion the rules too often become distorted in favor of abortion and against pro-life viewpoints.  To some, the First Amendment just doesn’t cover pro-life speech.

That abortion distortion was front and center today.

For years before this pro-abortion restriction passed, Eleanor McCullen, an elderly pro-life sidewalk counselor, had ministered to women seeking an abortion.  She would kindly and quietly counsel women approaching abortion clinics about the value of human life, even helping them find assistance from pro-life groups when they chose to keep their babies.  She was literally saving lives.  And she is one of the nicest women you would ever hope to meet; I had the privilege of meeting her today at our office after the oral argument (pictured above along with a fellow plaintiff Father Eric Cadin, standing behind her).

After the statue passed, Mrs. McCullen’s ministry was essentially shut down.  Refusing to be silenced, she challenged this unconstitutional law.

Most disturbing about this case though is that it was not just Massachusetts defending this pro-abortion law, the Obama Administration sent its lawyers to the Supreme Court to argue that this anti-pro-life speech law in no way violated the Constitution.

At one point the Obama Administration’s lawyer actually argued that there was no such thing a right to conduct a quite conversation on a public sidewalk.  Justice Kennedy was baffled.

In a painfully ironic moment, Justice Kagan compared abortion clinics to slaughterhouses, asking what if this statute had been written about slaughterhouses to keep animal rights activists from blocking the entrance and exits.

Jaws dropped throughout the Courtroom when she said that.  The comparison is eerie, as abortion clinics take the lives of millions of unborn Americans each year.

This case should be decided later this summer, and a lot rides on the Court’s opinion.  Will it uphold free speech or will it continue to promulgate the abortion distortion?

Fourteen years ago, ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow argued an almost identical case, Hill v. Colorado.  Importantly, it was a case in which Justice Kennedy issued a stinging dissenting opinion on the side of pro-life speech stating that the court’s ruling upholding a similar buffer zone “contradict[ed] more than a half century of well-established First Amendment principles.”  The three dissenting voices in Hill, Justices Kennedy, Scalia, and Thomas, remain on the Court today.

While it is never safe to make a presumption about a case based on oral argument, there were a number of justices who questioned the constitutionality of this Massachusetts statute.

Today, Justices Kennedy, Scalia, and Alito were highly critical of the Massachusetts statue. Even Justice Kagan, seemed concerned about how far this particular law went, asking why a 35-foot buffer zone, why so large, saying that the buffer zone would be almost as large as the Courtroom.  However, Justice Kagan, like Justice Sotomayor, took a more nuanced approach in their questions.  Justices Breyer and Ginsburg who are the only Justices from the Hill majority still on the Court, appeared dismissive of the pro-life arguments.

Justice Thomas, who is traditionally silent during oral argument, did not have any questions, but surprisingly Chief Justice Roberts didn’t say a word during the course of oral arguments.

We filed an amicus brief in this case, arguing in no uncertain terms that Hill was wrongly decided and that pro-life free speech should hold the same place as other free speech under the Constitution.

Pro-life sidewalk counselors like Mrs. McCullen and Father Cadin should not be treated as second-class citizens.  The public sidewalks outside of abortion clinics should no longer be speech free zones for those with pro-life views, but should be constitutionally protected free speech zones for all Americans.

Oregon Teacher Escorted From High School By Police For Opposing Planned Parenthood in Classroom

Portland, Oregon – An Oregon high school teacher was escorted from the building by police this week over what is believed to be related to his continued opposition to Planned Parenthood’s presence in the classroom.

Bill Diss is a math and computer science teacher at Benson High School in Portland, and has taught at the school for 11 years. Diss has also become known in the school for his opposition to Planned Parenthood since 2007, when he first began organizing efforts during after-school hours to stop the furtherance of the abortion provider in the community.

“I certainly fight Planned Parenthood, which I certainly have a right to do,” he told reporters this week following the incident. “And that was all on the outside, until [last] year when they brought Planned Parenthood [into the school].”

According to reports, last year, Planned Parenthood of Columbia Williamette began promoting its Teen Outreach Program (TOP) at Benson High School where Diss is employed as a teacher. In September, two representatives from the organization showed up at Diss’ classroom as they were hoping to speak to students. However, he would not let the representatives enter and asked them to leave.

Planned Parenthood of Columbia Williamette is behind a youth sex campaign called “Take Care Down There,” which includes a website that features a warning that the content is for “mature” viewers before guests are allowed to enter. The site includes such controversial skits as “Hot and Heavy,” “Bring Your Sister,” “Threesome” and “The Down There Song,” as well as other titles that are too graphic for Christian News Network to repeat.

Following Diss’ refusal to allow the representatives into his classroom, the principal and vice principal of the school paid Diss a visit and temporarily removed him from the class. The next day, he was forced to sit in on a Planned Parenthood presentation.

“They were extremely aggressive in obtaining the children’s signatures by promising them all sorts of gifts and cash,” Diss said.

    Connect with Christian News

Later, Diss also took issue with TOP permission forms that were being sent home with some students that had his name on them. His attorney contacted Planned Parenthood and the school demanding that they retract statements on the form that appeared as if Diss approved of the program. They threatened a lawsuit, stating that Diss was being harassed for his beliefs about the organization.

Ever since, Diss says that the school has been sending him regular notes that question his teaching skills and methods. He has been required to attend numerous hearings, and was told two weeks ago that his teaching contract would not be renewed.

On Tuesday, administrators notified Diss that he was being placed on administrative leave “pending a recommendation to the superintendent that you be dismissed from your employment with Portland public schools for reasons that have been discussed with you.” He told reporters that he was given a few minutes to gather his belongings before he was escorted out by police and asked not to return.

One student told local television station KGW that at times students mocked Diss, a Roman Catholic, for his pro-life views.

“He doesn’t do it a lot, but students do make fun of him for … being against [abortion] and everything,” explained Ty’sha Harrell, a junior. “When he does talk about it, he does have … really good views and everything, but sometimes he goes too deep into it. He brings religion into it.”

The teacher is on paid leave, and he fears that he will be permanently fired. The school is not revealing much information at this time.

“We do not discuss the nature of personnel issues and actions out of respect for the individual,” representatives wrote in a statement this week after Diss was escorted from school. “But I can tell you that we respect the rights of all employees to their own political, religious, social and other beliefs and affiliations and expect all employees to conduct themselves professionally in their work, most especially with students.”

“[Apparently], it is much more important for the school to have Planned Parenthood at Benson than it is to have a teacher teach computer science and math,” Diss said.
