Allen West: Freedom Flame 2013

Allen West wrote today:Imperial Islamic President Obama

To all of you hypocrites on the left, spare me. Not a one of you said a thing when Nancy Pelosi was over in Syria hamming it up with Bashar Assad or when she ignorantly referred to Hamas as a “humanitarian organization” because the Qataris said so — as Hamas was raining down rockets and missiles on Israel.

Sen. Cotton sent a letter to the Iranian ayatollahs and conveyed a simple message: your agreement with President Obama is only with President Obama.

If you want to talk about “treasonous,” explain to me why Obama wants a deal with a country holding American prisoners? Why would Obama threaten our U.S. Congress with vetoes if they pass legislation to restore sanctions, or even if the Congress votes for legislation to demand their approval of any “deal?”

And guess what? Sen. Cotton’s action forced U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to admit in a hearing Wednesday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that any unilateral agreement by President Obama with Iran is non-binding.

Ladies and gents, that was the crux of the message Cotton sent to the ayatollahs. I found comical former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeting out an attack against Sen. Cotton — perhaps she should be explaining 30,000 deleted emails sitting in a private server in her Chappaqua residence. Or maybe she’d like to remind us how well that “reset button” with Russia is working.

He further went on to add:

Even Greta Van Susteren tried to corner Sen. Cotton on her show Wednesday evening asking him why he didn’t just send his letter to the New York Times or Washington Post. Well Greta, that just ain’t how an American Airborne Ranger Infantrymen is wired. There’s no reason to be afraid of confronting the Ayatollahs, and they only respect and understand strength and might — not this Low T-style of leading from behind.muslim-obama

Senator Tom Cotton just did what someone should have done decades ago in the late 1930s when Sir Neville Chamberlain entered into negotiations with Adolf Hitler and waved a signed document. That same document was later defined by Hitler as nothing but a piece of paper. What if there had been someone in England’s Parliament who courageously sent a letter to Herr Hitler stating that the English knew him for who he was and wouldn’t be fooled?

So why is the left responding so vehemently? It’s simple; Tom Cotton displayed resolve — something lacking in this administration, unless you include attacks of political opposition — even if they are in your same party, i.e. Sen. Robert Menendez.

No one is supposed to challenge the policies of Barack Obama, regardless of how dangerous they are. Why is it that we have ISIS in Libya? Senator Cotton did nothing to undermine President Obama; he did everything to honor the oath that he took as a commissioned officer — and to protect the American people.

As I have stated before, every single U.S. Senator should have signed onto that letter. In not doing so, we now know who we the American people can count on to make the stand against the Iranian regime – which is now in the Iraqi city of Tikrit.

Can I ask a rhetorical question, why do we have U.S. troops in Iraq when Iran is calling the shots?

There is a saying among U.S. Army Rangers, “Rangers lead the way”, and so it is with Cotton. Even Politico recognizes that, “the youngest senator in the chamber at 37, Cotton has emerged as a leader of the next generation of GOP hawks. With his missive to Iran’s political leadership, ultimately co-signed with 46 of his GOP colleagues, and the fallout over his unusual attempt to circumvent the president’s foreign policy deal-making, Cotton has rocketed to the top of TV bookers’ lists, and fellow Republican senators are suddenly flocking to him for counsel on foreign policy. All before he’s even given his maiden speech on the Senate floor. Cotton has gained prominence with a disciplined adherence to talking points on television and the campaign trail. With support from the conservative wing of the party as well as leadership, Cotton has risen from the House to Senate in two years and is seen by some Republicans as an eventual White House contender.”

Much remains to be seen, but in less than three months Senator Tom Cotton has blazed a trail — a true pathfinder. Of course taking on President Obama and his failed foreign policy — actually embarrassing the President — has drawn attention. But something tells me the progressive socialist left doesn’t intimidate a combat veteran Airborne Ranger Infantryman.

And so I sit here writing this with a smile on my face, glad I took those trips to Arkansas to support a fellow Soldier. We need more combat veterans on Capitol Hill because the oath we take has no statute of limitations — and we are fearless. Wimpy politicians do not spook us.

Army Strong, Senator!

Democrats Lie – They’re Too Arrogant Not To

Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

It seems that Susan Ferrechio of the Washington Examiner has found a few choice quotes from Democrats, namely Bella Pelosi (I vant to suck your wallet) as the title of her article on Saturday would suggest: “Dems: Gruber wrote computer code, not Obamacare.”

Is that right. Well, he sure does have a lot to say and sure seems to have plenty of detailed strategic information for some guy tucked away somewhere pecking at a keyboard. That, or a very active imagination. Maybe he’s the inadvertent Edward Snowden of Obamacare, or maybe he’s a typical egotistical arrogant liberal who, like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al think they can say anything and not be held to account, even when they’re caught on audio or video. “Are you going to believe me, or your lying eyes?”culture of deciet

Nonetheless, Susan writes that House Democrats contend that Jonathan Gruber was merely a computer code expert who was factually wrong in the assertions he made, regarding Obamacare.

By now most of us have heard that he was merely a computer “modeler, who wrote 15,000 lines of computer code.” And for this, writes Ferrechio, he “banked more than $1 million from the federal government and states by helping design and implement the Affordable Care Act.” Where do I sign up for that gig?

Susan reports that although Pelosi insists that he played no role in writing Obamacare, Gruber evidently visited the White House eight times. Now why in the world would anyone in the White House invite a mere computer programmer to meet with them just wants let alone eight times? Answer: they wouldn’t.

liar PelosiSo Pelosi claims he had no role yet on her own website she said “The White House sometimes consulted Gruber on healthcare issues.” Huh – asking a computer programmer about healthcare? That’s like asking the guy who does my dry cleaning how to rebuild my cars engine. It makes no sense. Yet remember, it doesn’t have to. There are no contradictions in the world of a liberal Democrat.

Want an example? Ferrechio has one. We’ve all seen the videos where Gruber is caught saying “the ‘stupidity of the American voter’ and a ‘lack of transparency’ were the key to getting the public to accept the 2010 law.” She then cites Pelosi on her own website saying “First of all, there was no lack of transparency in the drafting and passing of the Affordable Care Act. In fact, the Affordable Care Act had more openness and transparency in its consideration than any law in many years.”com 01

I’m not sure that this type of arrogance can be taught. It may be something that Pelosi was born with. It may be inherited. Perhaps we should look into her family tree. Is she a descendant of Charles Ponzi, or maybe Raoul Wallenberg? No, that couldn’t be. Wallenberg was a good liar who saved a lot of Jews in Hungary during World War II.

Anyway – back to this “no lack of transparency” claim of Pelosi’s. Does the phrase, you have to pass it to find out what’s in it ring a bell? This woman really is beyond the pale. That or she’s suffering the early stages of dementia.Nana needs to go to a home

In fact, she may have more contradictory statements over the past five years then Obama. Ferrechio writes that “Pelosi made a reference to Gruber’s modeling during a 2009 press conference, but when asked about him last week she initially said she didn’t know him.”

Pelosi disputes Gruber’s claim that the authors of the law deliberately avoided describing the individual mandate as a tax, saying “the authors of the ACA have always ignores that individuals would have to report it on their tax returns as in addition to income tax liability.”

Okay, I’ll give her a pass on that one. First it was a tax that it wasn’t a tax then it was a tax, etc.com 02

All in all, Ferrechio does an excellent job condensing some of Pelosi’s more outrageous lies regarding Obamacare and Gruber. It’s a difficult thing to do so in a short one page article. It seems that not a day goes by when Pelosi is lying about something.

But hey, that’s what Democrat politicians do. They lie and do so with impunity. And they’re so arrogant that they don’t even care if and when they get caught.obama-liar4-266x189

It’s the nature of the modern Democrat Party.

If his mouth is open he must be lying

baseball

Written by Steve Bowers on August 2, 2014

I like drawing athletes, particularly baseball players. The baggy pants are a challenge. I enjoy watching baseball games, whereas I used to hate watching baseball. Something changed in my head while I watched the 2011 World Series. I think I got hooked on watching certain individual athletes play the game and began following those players, but not teams (although I did favor the Cards). The individual players are funny, engaging (how many actors can you say that about?) and genuine.

My favorite baseball player quote (ignoring Y. Berra for the moment) has to have been Manny Ramirez (Original Mr. Baggy Pants) who, when asked how he felt about being fined zillions for using drugs, replied “It’s only money.” When a guy can say that in the face of a huge financial setback, his head is screwed on right in some part of his brain. After all, “what DOES it profit a man if he gains the whole world and …?” Out of the mouths of babes and …baggy pants ball players. What if we had that sort of candor in politicians?

One of the things that had changed from when I had last watched the game in the nineties is the “umpire challenge” by reviewing a play on video playback. The amazing thing about the challenges is how infrequently umpires are mistaken. Plays can be incredibly close, but umpires are nearly always correct and their calls usually survive challenges. Nearly every game provides one of these very dramatic close calls by umps.

Of course, the best thing about baseball is when a really good game comes along, like the Yanks and Rangers last night. The lead had changed dramatically twice and it finally ended with the Rangers behind by one with two outs, two strikes, bases loaded and at bat was the best hitter the Rangers have. He finally hit a high fly to left, which was caught on the warning track. The game ended, but it was a great one.

As I was thinking about the Rangers-Yankees game this morning it occurred to me that one of the reasons watching sports is enjoyable is because you get to see what is happening. You get to make the call. You may even agree with the umpire. Or you may think the umpire was asleep at the switch. You even get to see the challenge replay and see it agree or disagree with you.

Of course it’s fun, right? Yes, but contrast the immediate feedback from watching the play in real time with the frustration you feel when considering the things that are concealed from most of us. Some things are, of course, by their nature, necessarily concealed. Macy’s doesn’t talk to Gimbels and that sort of thing. Putin doesn’t tell Obama what he plans to do next.

Obama doesn’t tell Putin, but he doesn’t have to. He telegraphs everything. He (and, apparently, Kerry) are the very worst negotiators. Everyone on the planet can tell what dumb thing they are going to do next. This is mostly because they generally do nothing. If you guess Obama will do nothing the next time terrorists kidnap all the Christian schoolgirls in some remote village…you will be correct. If you guess Obama or Kerry will do nothing at the next Middle-East crisis…except…throw Israel under the Hamas bus at the earliest opportunity…you will be right again.

The other way anyone can correctly anticipate what Obama or Kerry will do is (assuming you missed the first guess, ie; “nothing”) …is to assume they will do the “wrong thing.” This is their favorite move in any situation. They are experts in this method. How they invariably manage to pick the “wrong thing” is amazing. You would expect they would do the correct thing once in a while …if only by mistake. But, no.

Baseball managers and players do the wrong thing frequently and they almost never do “nothing.” Sometimes players do incredible stuff. That’s when the game is really fun to watch. But whether they do the wrong or right thing it is fun just to watch. You get to see what really happened, even if you need the replay to figure out what you just saw. Or what the umpire saw.

We are usually deprived of the opportunity to see what happened when politicians are calling the shots…or plays…actuallyComplete Message “shots” is more accurate when politicians are involved. What happened that night in Congress when the Republicans were locked out and Nancy Pelosi and other airheads dreamt up Obamacare. Obamacare, which we now know is an utter disaster, was birthed in the dark. Where we couldn’t see it when the doctor or Obama smacked its backside and it began breathing and devouring the nation’s wealth.

Politicians hide their labors from us. Sort of like Lois Lerner’s taking the Fifth. That’s just a fancy Constitutional way of hiding your actions. Sort of like Lois’s emails which have recently taken a turn towards the really sophomoric by revelations of her calling conservative groups she doesn’t like …junior high school derogatory names. How do such low-lifes get into high governmental positions?

Anyway, I now understand why I automatically and subconsciously hit the remote to switch from the most important televised (aren’t they all) speech of Obama to the worst and most boring baseball game imaginable. Who knows what you will see some unknown player do.

Whereas…we all know what Obama is gonna say.

Besides…it’s more fun to watch a ball team self-destruct than a nation…particularly my own.

Super Funny – Nancy Pelosi PAC Attacks Obamacare

http://eaglerising.com/4669/super-funny-nancy-pelosi-pac-attacks-obamacare/#CXwgv0ZgumAXw3J5.99

How worried are Democrats about what Obamacare is going to cost them in 2014?

So worried that even Nancy Pelosi pet Political Action Committee (PAC) is taking pot shots at the “disastrous” healthcare law. In an ad they’ve developed for Joe Garcia (D-FL) who is running for Congress from Florida’s 26th District, they highlight how Mr. Garcia “fought to let you keep your insurance” and that he is “working to fix” the law. The ad also takes the Obama administration to task for the “disastrous” Obamacare website.

Here’s the ad.

Webb

It’s very telling that the House Majority PAC, which is so closely tied to Nancy Pelosi, would be willing to try to win points by attacking Obamacare when it was Pelosi herself who said, “I don’t think you can tell what will happen next year, but I will tell you this: Democrats stand tall in support of the Affordable Care Act.”

Keep standing tall, Nancy… that way it will be easier to knock you down in November.

General calls for massive march on Washington

http://www.wnd.com/2013/12/u-s-general-calls-for-massive-march-on-congress-white-house/#ffr7jZsSZ6ALxGh2.99

‘We need to get off our derrieres. … Hope is not a strategy’

Bob Unruh joined WND in 2006 after nearly three decades with the Associated Press, as well as several Upper Midwest newspapers, where he covered everything from legislative battles and sports to tornadoes and homicidal survivalists. He is also a photographer whose scenic work has been used commercially.
Valley 01

The retired American military commander who earlier said in a statement released to WND that Americans need to confront Barack Obama’s tyranny now is recommending the Egyptian model through which to do that.

The Egyptian model, Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely explained on a podcast of an Internet radio show, was that 33 million people stood up to their government and told officials no.

The result was that the Egyptian Muslim Brother was removed from power and then-President Mohammed Morsi was removed from office, Vallely explained.

His call for a massive march on Washington came recently on the WBTM (We Become The Media) show.

He was asked whether America can be restored as the shining light on the hill for freedom when the electoral process, which resulted in two presidencies for Obama in 2008 and 2012, “are known to be corrupt.”

Vallely said the absence of leadership in the White House and Congress makes it difficult, and he said, “I’m not even sure our traditional process will straighten our government out in time to save us.”

And he said processes like impeachment simply won’t happen.

Then he suggested the Egyptian model, and he said millions of Americans need to “stand up” to Washington “within the next 12 months.”

He said doing nothing is not an option, because Washington won’t fix itself and “hope is not a strategy.”

“We need something … a no confidence vote,” he suggested. And perhaps legislation that could create a national recall process.

“We need to get off our derrieres, march at the state capitol, march in Washington,” he said. “Make citizens arrests.”

He said when there are those who are “conducting treason … violating the Constitution, violating our laws,” it should not be overlooked.

“When you have a president and his team who don’t care about the Constitution, they will do anything they can to win,” he said.

Vallely has been immensely popular among tea party organizations that are seeking a way to restore the rule of law to Washington.

Among other things, they cite the Obamacare law, and the 15 or more times Obama has changed the law – without consulting Congress.

In a statement earlier to WND, Vallely said a vote of no confidence could be used.

The founder of Stand Up America, an organization that provides education resources for leaders and activists based on the values of the Founding Fathers, said:

“Clearly America has lost confidence and no longer trusts those in power at a most critical time in our history,” Vallely said. “It is true that not all who ply the halls of power fit under that broad brush, but most of them are guilty of many egregious acts and we say it is time to hold a vote of no confidence. It’s time for a ‘recall.’”

Vallely believes the “credibility of our current leadership is gone.”

Now, he said, “we listen to their excuses, finger-pointing, lies and all manner of chicanery.”

He admitted there is no legal authority in a vote of no confidence, but he argued it will “take back the power of discourse.”

“What else is our nation to do now that the ‘rule-of-law’ has effectively been thrown out the window by the Obama administration? How are we to trust our government anymore, now that lying and fraud are acceptable practices?” he asked.

Vallely believes impeachment likely wouldn’t lead to conviction and doesn’t solve the problem, anyway.

“Harry Reid still controls the Senate, so like in Clinton’s day, forget about a finding of guilty,” he wrote. “Incidentally, if Obama was found guilty and removed from office, Joe Biden would step in, Valerie Jarrett still wields all the power, and likely we get more of the same.”

The Constitution can be amended without going through Congress, he pointed out, but it would take too much time, “a luxury we just do not have it we are going to save our republic.”

Sign the petition urging Congress to pursue impeachment right away!

“That brings us to the other word no one wants to utter, revolution. In our opinion, this is the least palatable option. … Others talk about the military taking over as we saw in Egypt; again, we do not support this route,” he said.

Vallely listed a sampling of Obama’s broken promises and lies, crediting Peter Wehner at Commentary Magazine:

 • His promise not to allow lobbyists to work in his administration. (They have.)
 • His commitment to slash earmarks. (He didn’t.)
 • To be the most transparent presidency in history. (He’s not.)
 • To put an end to “phony accounting.” (It started almost on Day 1 and continues.)
 • And to restore trust in government. (Trust in government is at near-historic lows.)
 • His pledge to seek public financing in the general election. (He didn’t.)
 • To treat super-PACS as a “threat to democracy.” (He embraced them.)
 • His pledge to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent. (It remained above 8 percent for the longest stretch since the Great Depression.)
 • To create five million new energy jobs alone. (The total number of jobs created in Obama’s first term was roughly one-tenth that figure.)
 • To identify all those “shovel-ready’ jobs. (Mr. Obama later chuckled that his much-hyped “shovel-ready projects” were “not as shovel-ready as we expected.”)
 • To lift two million Americans from poverty. (A record 46 million Americans are living in poverty during the Obama era.)
 • His promise to bring down health care premiums by $2,500 for the typical family (they went up) … allow Americans to keep the health care coverage they currently have (many can’t) … refuse to fund abortion via the Affordable Care Act (it did) … to respect religious liberties (he has violated them) … and the insistent that a mandate to buy insurance, enforced by financial penalties, was not a tax (it is).
 • Obama’s pledge to stop the rise of oceans. (It hasn’t.)
 • To “remake the world” and to “heal the planet.” (Hardly.)
 • To usher in a “new beginning” based on “mutual respect” with the Arab and Islamic world and “help answer the call for a new dawn in the Middle East.” (Come again?)
 • To punish Syria if it crossed the “red line” of using chemical weapons. (The “red line” was crossed earlier this year – and nothing of consequence happened.)
 • That as president “I don’t bluff.” (See the previous sentence on Syria.)
 • And of course the much-ballyhooed Russian reset. (Tensions between Russia and the United States are increasing and examples of Russia undermining U.S. interests are multiplying.)
 • And let’s not forget Mr. Obama’s promise to bring us together. (He is the most polarizing president in the history of the Gallup polling.)
 • Or his assurance to us that he would put an end to the type of politics that “breeds division and conflict and cynicism.” (All three have increased during the Obama presidency.)
 • And his counsel to us to “resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long.” (Remind me again whose campaign allies accused Mitt Romney of being responsible for the cancer death of a steelworker’s wife.)

“It is time to recall the reprobates and reclaim the power of the people,” Vallely said. “We need to start with the White House and all of Obama’s appointees, especially Eric Holder. … Then on to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi – the architects who shoved Obamacare down our throats. We also cannot forget John Boehner and company who openly castigate the tea-party caucus which are only doing that which they campaigned upon.”

Read the definitive case for removing Barack Obama from office in “Impeachable Offenses” by Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott.

Vallely quoted commentator Andrew C. McCarthy, who said that “absent the political will to remove the president, he will remain president no matter how many high crimes and misdemeanors he stacks up. … and absent the removal of the president, the United States will be fundamentally transformed.”

Vallely noted that while the U.S. Constitution lacks a provision for a “recall” at the federal level, “there is nothing to prevent its use as a comprehensive de facto indictment and conviction for contempt of Congress, violations of oath of office and of the Constitution itself – for all the reasons stated in such a resolution.”

He warned of growing “tyrannical centralized rule” without action.

There may be advances in the 2014 elections, but will that be a solution?

“Obama is still the president, and his Cabinet and appointees still remain in power. … Obama will just continue to subvert the Constitution he took an oath to faithfully protect. His track record shows us that no matter what the make-up of Congress is, he will twist his way around it with a pen and secure even more power reminiscent of a dictator,” Vallely said.

“When that does not work, he will manipulate the courts and law enforcement will be run by fiat, choosing winners and losers.”

Congress already is addressing charges that Obama is violating the Constitution.

WND reported when Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said Obama’s actions have reached “an unprecedented level, and we’ve got to do something about it.

Valley 02

“Assume that a statute said you had to provide two forms of ID to vote. Can the president require three forms? Can the president require one form? Can you suspend all requirements? If not, why not?” he said. “If you can turn off certain categories of law, do you not also have the power to turn off all categories of law?”

Gowdy cited Obama’s decisions to ignore certain immigration laws, even though Congress did not approve the changes. He also cited arbitrary changes to the Obamacare law and Obama’s “recess appointments” of judges even though the U.S. Senate was not in recess.

His proposal is for Congress to take the White House to court over the president’s actions, through a resolution proposed by Rep. Tom Rice, R-Ga., that would authorize the House to sue the Obama administration. It has 30 co-sponsors.

Rice said that because of “this disregard of our country’s checks and balances, many of you have asked me to bring legal action against the president.”

“After carefully researching the standing the House of Representatives has and what action we can take, I have introduced a resolution to stop the president’s clear overreach,” he said.

A Fox News interviewer asked Gowdy if Obama could refuse to enforce election laws.

“Why not?” asked Gowdy, “If you can turn off immigration laws, if you can turn off the mandatory minimum in our drug statutes, if you can turn off the so-called Affordable Care Act – why not election laws?”

Gowdy noted that a liberal law professor, Jonathan Turley, agrees.

WND reported Turley’s concerns earlier this month.

Turley has represented members of Congress in a lawsuit over the Libyan war, represented workers at the secret Area 51 military base and served as counsel on national security cases. He now says Obama is a danger to the U.S. Constitution.

He was addressing a House Judiciary Committee hearing Dec. 4. Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., asked him: “Professor Turley, the Constitution, the system of separated powers is not simply about stopping one branch of government from usurping another. It’s about protecting the liberty of Americans from the dangers of concentrated government power. How does the president’s unilateral modification of act[s] of Congress affect both the balance of power between the political branches and the liberty interests of the American people?”

Turley replied: “Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The danger is quite severe. The problem with what the president is doing is that he’s not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system. He’s becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid. That is the concentration of power.”

Turley explained that the “Newtonian orbit that the three branches exist in is a delicate one but it is designed to prevent this type of concentration.”

“There are two trends going on which should be of equal concern to all members of Congress,” he said. “One is that we have had the radical expansion of presidential powers under both President Bush and President Obama. We have what many once called an imperial presidency model of largely unchecked authority. And with that trend we also have the continued rise of this fourth branch. We have agencies that are quite large that issue regulations. The Supreme Court said recently that agencies could actually define their own or interpret their own jurisdiction.”

Turley was appointed in 1998 to the prestigious Shapiro Chair for Public Interest at Georgetown. He has handled a wide range of precedent-setting and headline-making cases, including the successful defense of Petty Officer Daniel King, who faced the death penalty for alleged spying for Russia.

Turley also has served as the legal expert in the review of polygamy laws in the British Columbia Supreme Court. He’s been a consultant on homeland security, and his articles appear regularly in national publications such as the New York Times and USA Today.

WND reported that it was at the same hearing that Michael Cannon, director of Health Policy Studies for the Cato Institute, said there is “one last thing to which the people can resort if the government does not respect the restraints that the Constitution places of the government.”

“Abraham Lincoln talked about our right to alter our government or our revolutionary right to overthrow it,” he said.

“That is certainly something that no one wants to contemplate. If the people come to believe that the government is no longer constrained by the laws, then they will conclude that neither are they.”

Cannon said it is “very dangerous” for the president to “wantonly ignore the laws, to try to impose obligations upon people that the legislature did not approve.”

Several members of Congress also contributed their opinions in an interview with talk-show host Sean Hannity.

See the Hannity segment:

Vally 03

Vallely explained that a “no confidence” vote now “would also tell the world that we recognize the mess this administration has wrought upon the world and we do not support his actions. Despite what supporters of Obama say about our standing in the world, the world is laughing at us. We are not pleased!”

Without that action, he writes, “Obama will just continue to subvert the Constitution he took an oath to faithfully protect.”

Pelosi Gets Grilled Over False Obamacare Promises on ‘Meet the Press’

http://freebeacon.com/pelosi-gets-grilled-over-false-obamacare-promises-on-meet-the-press/

BY:

November 17, 2013 12:02 pm

NBC’s Meet the Press host David Gregory took House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to task Sunday for the failures of Obamacare and taped promises she made about the law.

Gregory played a clip from 2009 when the then-Speaker of the House essentially repeated President Obama’s infamous “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan promise” in an interview with MSNBC’s Ed Schultz.

While Obama has acknowledged he was wrong, Pelosi still couldn’t bring herself to admit it.

“Are you accountable for saying something that turned out not to be correct?” Gregory asked.

“Well, it’s not that it’s not correct, it’s that if you want to keep it and it’s important for theinsurance companies to say to people, this is what your plan does,” she said. “It doesn’t prevent you from being discriminated against on basis of pre-existing conditions.”

Gregory didn’t let up, though.

“The government has decided there have to be minimum standards in any health care plan. So if you have something and you like it and it doesn’t meet what the government says you have to have, you cannot keep it. That’s not what you said, though,” he said.

“If you had your plan before the enactment of the law in 2010, if you had your plan — there is nothing in the law that says — we can go back and forth on this,” she sputtered.

Pelosi returned to the Democratic talking point that the promise made referred to keeping plans they had before Obamacare was passed in 2010, but Obama continued to make that pledge in 2012 and as recently as late October 2013. Yet, Pelosi commended Obama for being forthright and taking responsibility for Obamacare’s problems.

Also, Gregory played a clip of her much-criticized remarks that Obamacare needed to be passed in order to “find out what’s in it,” leading to this exchange:

DAVID GREGORY: And hasn’t that idea that you have to pass it before you know what’s in it, isn’t that really the problem, as you look back on it, that there was such a rush to get this done, no Republicans voting for it, and now there are unintended effects of this that were foreseen at the time that you couldn’t know the impact of it and now this is coming home to roost.

NANCY PELOSI: No. What I was saying there is, we are House and the Senate, we get a bill, we go to conference, we ping-pong it and then you see what the final product is. However, however, I stand by what I said there. When people see what is in the bill, they will like it, and they will. So while there’s a lot of hoop-de-do and ado about what’s happening, very appropriate. I’m not criticizing. I said it would take a great deal to pass this bill. I said, if we go up to the gate and it’s locked, we’ll unlock the gate. If we can’t do that, we’ll climb the fence. If the fence is too high, we’ll pole vault in. If we can’t do that, we’ll helicopter but we’ll get it done. We had to pass the test of the courts, and we did. The first rollout in the first part, the first year of the implementation went very smoothly. The website did not work. That has caused problems, complicating people transitioning from those policies. But again, this was never thought to be easy. And the fact is it doesn’t matter what we’re saying here. What matters is what happens at the kitchen table of the American people and how they will have more affordability, more accessibility, better quality care, prevention, wellness, a healthier nation honoring the vows of our founders. That life, a healthier life, liberty to pursue their happiness not be chained by a policy.

GREGORY: I understand what the arguments are. The administration is saying –

PELOSI: That’s the only argument.

CBS Takes Nancy Pelosi to Task Over Inflammatory Rhetoric

By

It’s not often that we get to experience something as delicious as CBS taking Nancy Pelosi to task for any one of her many sins… so let’s just enjoy this one together for a few moments. (SEE VIDEO HERE: <iframe title=”MRC TV video player” width=”640″ height=”360″ src=”http://www.mrctv.org/embed/123200″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen> http://www.mrctv.org/videos/shocker-cbs-hounds-pelosi-over-shutdown-youve-called-them-arsonists )

Is CBS turning a corner on reporting and beginning to hold the Democrats accountable for their Molotov cocktail-like rhetoric? Not really. But we need to take our victories when we can, even if they’re as small as this one.

Obama supporter Gayle King repeatedly pressed Pelosi about “people [who] are just saying…work it out….both sides have to be willing to leave something on the table.”

Anthony Mason underlined how “Senator [Harry] Reid called some Republicans anarchists. You’ve called them arsonists….How do you get a meeting of the minds when people are talking like that?”

Norah O’Donnell also wondered about “a scenario…where Democrats would be willing to give on a larger budget deal – the grand bargain coming back, and giving on entitlements, so that we can move forward.”

Nancy Pelosi gamely tried to spin the interview in the direction of blaming the Republicans, but her interviewers weren’t having it. There were moments watching the back and forth that I worried her head might explode in anger at having to defend her liberal talking points. Democrats are not used to having to tell the media what to believe, so it’s not all Pelosi’s fault that she was caught off guard. Her attempt at spin led the panelists to interrupt again…

Mason interrupted and shot back, “But, at the same time, the President’s saying, we won’t negotiate, and he’s taking criticism for that.”

King came right back: “To the people outside, it really just does seem like white noise. It just seems like, you say something; they say something…And the people are just saying, you guys, just work it out. That’s all I’m saying.”

NancyPelosiThe sad part of this entire CBS experience is that this is what passes as a “tough” interview for Democrats. The interviewers weren’t necessarily attacking Pelosi or the Democrat positions that have led to the shutdown. They were simply asking if the inflammatory rhetoric of the Democrats was making matters worse, and if perhaps the Democrats should be willing to negotiate an end to the shutdown. Even these simple questions though, were enough to cause the House minority leader to squirm and grow agitated with the interview.

Maybe it wasn’t the toughest interview, and maybe CBS is still a liberal media shill. It’s still nice to watch a Democrat robot like Pelosi squirm when all she has are her talking points. Thank you, CBS, for making me smile.

National Park Service Allows Immigration Reform Rally On National Mall, Despite Location Being Closed Due To Government Shutdown

Despite recent examples of strict behavior by the National Park Service, including the temporary eviction of an elderly couple from their Nevada home and an attempt to block WWII veterans from visiting their memorial in D.C., the government organization has given approval for an immigration reform rally scheduled to take place on the National Mall. The site of the rally, a major tourist D.C. destination due to its housing of the district’s numerous free museums, has been closed due to the budget deliberations taking place in Congress that have caused the current government shutdown.

Signs outside the National Mall inform visitors that the area is off-limits until the government resumes its normal operation. Still, around 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, most notably House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who is scheduled to speak at the event.

The rally is called “Camino Americano: March For Immigration Reform,” and organizers of the event have already been spotted setting up on the National Mall. Susana Flores, spokeswoman for the rally, told the Washington Examiner that protestors will be protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, despite the current nature of the government and the National Mall.

The official website for the rally estimates that “tens of thousands will come to the National Mall to share stories of suffering and strength and demand passage of commonsense immigration reform.”

While the event is likely to be a significant demonstration of clear support for the rights of undocumented immigrants living in the United States, Congress is undoubtedly focused on other issues, with the argument surrounding the Affordable Care Act stuck in a stand-still and the budget deficit deadline looming. The National Mall is officially ordered to remain closed (for those not undergoing massive protests, apparently), until the government shutdown ends.

Priests Rebuke Nancy Pelosi: Repent or Join a Satanic Church

By / http://clashdaily.com/2013/06/priests-rebuke-nancy-pelosi-repent-or-join-a-satanic-church/#ixzz2XA63lVLH

Screen Shot 2013-06-23 at 4.35.05 PMI wish the craven evangelical ministers would grow some cojones like “The Priests for Life” obviously have and start rebuking politicians who claim union with Christ while proposing and supporting legislation that’s spawned in the abyss.

I don’t know if you’re hip to what the Priests for Life did last week but these gents formally sent Nancy Pelosi a little love letter telling that nutty chick, in essence, to either renounce her backing of abortion, as a Catholic, or join a Satanic Church.

Actually they didn’t say join a Satanic Church. But she would fit right in. Yeah, I said it. Nancy and her ilk, if they don’t repent, should renounce Christianity and just formally hook up with whatever hip sect is following el Diablo because their Weltanschauung sho’ doesn’t flow from the scripture.

Just a cursory bounce through the Decalogue and one will quickly see that Nancy and her nabobs are about as Christ-like as Heidi Klum is fat and nasty.

Check it out:

I. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Clearly the Progressives have other gods, namely … them.)

II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. (Would having magazines depicting these cats in Messianic poses with Messianic mantras, which they don’t virulently condemn, equate idolatry?)

III. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord, thy God, in vain. (Look, taking the name of God in vain just doesn’t mean Nancy yelling GD when the Botox needle strikes a nerve in her forehead. It also means invoking His name for insidious and deceptive reasons.)

IV. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. (Yeah, right. Progressives are big churchgoers.)

V. Honor thy father and mother. (Note please that it says, father and mother and not father and father or mother and mother.)

VI. Thou shalt not kill. (Uh, would abortion fall into this category? I’m thinking, yes. By the way, why is it a double homicide when a murderer murders a pregnant mom and her unborn kid and not when a doc sucks an unborn baby through a vacuum cleaner fitted with razor blades at the behest of mommy dearest? Also, why do anti-hunters quote this text when they’re blathering about hunting being murder and they’re mute on this text when it comes to abortion? Please, thrill me with your answers. Send all correspondence to mail@yawn.com.)

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Must I comment on this one?)

VIII. Thou shalt not steal. (Uh, “wealth redistribution” anyone? Or Fedzilla printing money into oblivion?)
IX. Thou shalt not bare false witness against your neighbor. (Let’s see: Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS v. The Tea Party, NSA Spy Games, Jay Carney, all of their crap-addled campaign speeches. Must I go on?)

X. Thou shalt not covet. (Please. Avarice is all they spawn in their poor duped entitlement culture.)

Yep, ol’ Nance might ought to give the devil a serious look over because the Nine Satanic Statements, from the Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey, seem more apropos given her penchants.

Check them out …

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence! (Show me one liberal crotch rocket that’s into abstinence over indulgence and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t realize they’re a Tim Tebow yet.)

2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams! (I have no idea what that means.)

3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit! (Okay, maybe Pelosi shouldn’t join.)

4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! (Whew, okay Pelosi is back in because Progressives only love and legislate for Progressives. Their policies have squat to do with independents, right of center peeps, or sane left of center folks. No, they show love only to the special loons who float their wet dream of being Lord of the Serfs).

5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek! (Didn’t Obama say it’s payback time after 2012’s election? Would the IRS grinding down Tea Party and Conservative non-profit applicants be vengeance? Does any of this ring a bell? Hail, Satan).

6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires! ( I have no clue what the heck that means, either; but I’m sure Pelosi does.)

7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all! (Cock-doodle-do.)

8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! ( There … you see? The Leftists, in their amorality, shouldn’t even jack with that cosmic killjoy Jehovah! They should pitch their tent on this satanic soil because there is no right or wrong, just pleasure and pain, baby.)

9. And lastly, Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

Good on The Priests for Life for confronting Pelosi and rank disdain for the Verbum Dei. Who knows? Maybe these public rebukes wake her apostate soul up. If not, as we now know, there is another group that’ll take

More Giberish From the Left

Once again, I find myself asking, “What did you say?” All the apologist for the Attorney General and President Obama are out with the same talking points claiming that the Republicans are being mean hearted people who are restricting the vote of the poor, trying to get Eric Holder fired, and want President Obama to lose the next election because all Republicans and conservatives are racist. That’s right, RACIST.

They claim we are racist because we don’t like what he has, and has NOT done, as President. We are unhappy with the way our economy has tanked, how many people who are out of work and how our returning military personnel can’t work, that was promised them when they went away the first time under President Bush. How did that slip our minds? They also claim we are one a “fishing expedition” about “Fast and Furious” and Carney announced that the AG’s office gave up all the documents long ago, and that the AG was the one that stopped the operation ONCE HE FOUND OUT ABOUT IT. “What did you say?”

If in fact they had turned the documents over, than wouldn’t Attorney General Holder say so during one of his 11 appearances before Congress? Wouldn’t their press partners have blasted the airwaves with shouts of “FOUL” if in fact they could proof Carney’s statement? And how about the arrogant stance of our Ms. Pelosi who said outright that all this is racist, and that she could have had Carl Rove arrested. “What did you say?” On top of that, their puppet pundits were sent out with talking points claiming that the operation of “Fast and Furious” was started with the Bush administration. “What did you say?”

Is anyone listening? If in fact, “Fast and Furious” started with the Bush administration, than that would be even more reason for the Left to rush out those documents furthering their staunch position that “it’s all Bushes fault.” Here are they? Where is their proof? Is anyone ever going to ask them to PROVE THEIR RIDICULOUS STATEMENTS? While they’re at it, where is their proof that conservatives want to restrict the vote of any native-born, or naturalized American? Asking voters to show some ID before voting to make sure they have the legal right to vote in an American election, is not unreasonable. Of course, unless you’re a far Left person who is fighting to keep their voting base intact, legal or not.

How about some answers and proof? We’re waiting!
