Protesters’ next stop: Fox News, New York Post

The Occupy movement and other leftist groups are attempting to use the anti-cop furor for a “die-in” and “shutdown” protest targeting Fox News and the New York Post. The demonstration is scheduled for Jan. 2 at New Corporation’s Midtown Manhattan headquarters, with invitations posted at Occupy-affiliated Facebook pages.warning warning

The invitation reads: “As many already know The NY POST is a newspaper that is owned and controlled by the Right Winger Rupert Murdoch, who in essence is a corporate racist that continually supports and disseminates racist, classist, sexist and all forms of pro 1% misinformation through his NY POST newspaper as well as FOX television.”

“This Die-In Shutdown and Boycott is but the first part of a larger upcoming campaign for justice … to expose the racist lies and bias of mass media starting with but NOT limited to the NY POST!”more evidence

A “die-in” is a protest in which demonstrators, usually holding placards, lie on the ground and pretend to be dead. In this case, the demonstration is meant to protest the deaths of African-Americans Eric Garner and Michael Brown, both of whom were killed by police officers. Occupy was one of the main sponsors of the protests this week aimed at shutting down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue shopping district ahead of Christmas.

As WND reported, missing from most news coverage is that the anti-police protests rocking New York are being openly coordinated and led by professional leftist agitators, not only Occupy Wall Street but also a communist-aligned, anti-war, anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian extremist organization.com01

A WND review of major news coverage of the protests finds headlines such as these:

USA Today: “NYC protesters defy mayor’s call for moratorium.”

Bloomberg: “Protesters Defy NYC Mayor’s Call to Hold Off While Slain Cops Are Mourned.”

Reuters: “NY protesters reject plea for hiatus despite police slayings.”

New York Daily News: “Protests resume in New York to oppose police brutality despite Bill de Blasio’s plea to suspend demonstrations.”

The coverage largely leaves the impression the demonstrations are spontaneous reactions to recent actions by law enforcement officials that some contend were motivated by racism. However, the protests, aimed at shutting down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue shopping district ahead of Christmas, are being organized openly by radical leftist groups whose intent may not simply be the protest of alleged racism.com02

Some of the news articles entirely fail to mention the protests were organized by the Act Now To End War & Stop Racism Coalition, or ANSWER, together with Occupy Wall Street and at least 10 other so-called economic justice and pro-Palestinian groups.warning warning

Scores of article note the protests were coordinated by ANSWER but fail to give any context, such as ANSWER’s radical background and history, or mention of the other groups supporting the protest movement.

USA Today, for example, simply reports: “The action, organized by the Act Now to End War & Stop Racism Coalition, came hours before the city’s landmarks, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler building, One World Trade Center, were to dim their lights at 9 p.m. for five minutes to honor officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.”

No further details about ANSWER are provided.

Reuters similarly reported: “Answer Coalition, organizers of a march on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan, said a ‘peaceful protest against police violence’ would continue as planned.”

Founded in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, ANSWER is an umbrella group famous for its protests against Israel and against America’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The group is known to be one of the most extreme among the progressive community in its positions on Israel and on U.S. military action. Its steering committee is made up of progressive groups, socialists and advocates from the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, Filipino, Haitian and Latin American communities.com03

During the height of the second Palestinian Intifada, or terrorism war targeting Israel, ANSWER in April 2002 organized a demonstration in Washington, D.C., that the group claims was the biggest pro-Palestinian rally in U.S. history.

In August, ANSWER led another Washington, D.C., rally against what the group described as “the Israeli massacre against people in Gaza.” At the time, Israel was at war with the Hamas terrorist organization, which fired thousands of rockets from territory under its control in Gaza into Israeli cities.

ANSWER has expressed support for the Palestinian intifada. Discover The Networks notes the group released a statement expressing its “solidarity with the call issued [to hold]… activities timed to coincide with the third anniversary of the second Palestinian Intifada.”

ANSWER has supported so-called resistance against U.S. troops in Iraq. A May 2003 downloadable flyer on “Counter-revolution and Resistance in Iraq” states: “Having achieved their victory [the U.S. in Iraq], however, the occupiers now confront a people who have a long and proud history of resistance. The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance.”com04

Some of ANSWER’s leaders are associated with the Stalinist Workers World Party.

Meanwhile, almost entirely unreported by the news media is that Occupy is a co-sponsor of the anti-police protests targeting Fifth Avenue and may be hijacking the demonstrations for its own goals. On its website, Occupy Wall Street wrote: “Fifth Avenue is the world’s most expensive shopping street – a playground for the global 1%. **This 1% is precisely who the police serve and protect. They flood black, Latino and other oppressed communities like an occupying army so as to intimidate us into accepting things the way they are.” On its Facebook page, Occupy Wall Street ranted about the protest: “The people will not be intimidated. We will not accept poverty wages, racist courts and a corrupt political system.”warning warning

Other sponsors of the Fifth Avenue protests include:

  • Crystal House
  • El Grito De Sunset Park
  • Existence is Resistance
  • New Yorkers Against Bratton
  • NYC Solidarity with Palestinecropped-ignorance.png

Obama nominees face liberal ire

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/05/13/obama-nominees-face-liberal-ire/

barron_obama.jpg

Shown here are Obama judicial nominee David Barron, left, and President Obama.AP

President Obama’s nominees to the federal courts and other positions increasingly are coming under fire from the left, in a change of pace from the days when the administration said Republicans were the ones creating confirmation headaches.

“Is the Left starting to distance themselves from President Obama even more than they have over OBAMACARE? JB

The latest to face the wrath of the president’s supposed allies are a pair of judicial nominees.

One, Harvard Law School professor David Barron, was nominated to the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston but faced complaints about his role in providing the administration’s legal justification for killing U.S. citizens allegedly helping Al Qaeda.

“That is a good objection. Killing Americans without due process is a slippery sloop NO ONE wants to go down. That kind of president is disastrous.” JB

The other, Michael Boggs, was nominated for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia but came under criticism from liberal groups for socially conservative positions he took during his time in the state legislature.

” Did you get that” ‘…for socially conservative positions he took during his time in the state legislature.’ At least the Extreme Leftist Libs are being consistent. Any disagreement with what they believe, say or stand for, brings their wrath and demonization. Because of that, the Extremist Leftist/Marxist/Socialist Libs are that much more dangerous and needs to be eradicated.” JB

Boggs faced a hearing Tuesday morning before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where his detractors and defenders, and Boggs himself, had a chance to face off.

At the hearing, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., challenged him on his opposition to same-sex marriage and other stances, asking if they would be “indicative” of how he’d serve as a federal judge.

Judges should not be policymakers,” Boggs replied, adding he should have done a better job in the past of making that distinction.

The nominee for weeks has faced complaints over some of the bills he sponsored and voted for while serving in the Georgia General Assembly, mainly because his votes reflect more socially conservative views on abortion and gay rights, despite the fact he served as a Democrat

“Oh the same of it all. Holding conservative views on abortion and gay rights homosexuals SODOMITES, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS A DEMOCRAT. What ever happened to the right of your own opinion and convictions?” JB

Among the bills he co-sponsored was one in 2003 to establish a “Choose Life adoption support program” to encourage women to consider adoption over abortion. The bill would have established a “Choose Life” license plate to fund the program. Another bill Boggs co-sponsored that year would have tightened restrictions on minors seeking abortions. Really 01

These bills drew the ire of NARAL Pro-Choice America, which in a petition on its website called Boggs “dangerous for women” and urged supporters to tell their senators to oppose his nomination.

Boggs initially did not disclose his voting history on these matters to the Senate Judiciary Committee, but provided the “additional information” in a letter last month to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Ranking Member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. He also apologized for not including it earlier.

On another front, the administration tried to head off a battle over Barron, agreeing last week to allow senators to review memos Barron wrote justifying drone strikes on Americans.

Barron had worked as acting assistant attorney general at the Justice Department on the case of Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born Al Qaeda figure killed by a U.S. drone in 2011. Some legal scholars and human rights activists argue it was illegal for the U.S. to kill American citizens away from the battlefield without a trial.

Among them, the American Civil Liberties Union wrote a letter to senators urging them to delay Barron’s confirmation vote until all senators review memos he wrote on the drone program. Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky also threatened to block Barron’s confirmation, barring public release of a redacted version al-Awlaki memo, by virtue of a court order.

Though Paul is often vocal on the drone issue, Sens. Mark Udall of Colorado and Wyden were among the Democrats to join in voicing concerns about Barron’s role.

The White House has defended the nominee as one who would bring “outstanding credentials, legal expertise and dedication to the rule of law to the federal bench.”

Meanwhile, The Daily Caller reports that yet another nominee, former Bank of America executive Stefan Selig, is facing liberal protests over his nomination to an under secretary position within the Department of Commerce.

Some, including Democratic Florida Rep. Alan Grayson, are objecting over a more than $9 million bonus he received around the time of his nomination.

A CREDO petition Grayson sent out reportedly says: “Let’s be clear, the $9 million was not a normal yearly bonus. It was an extra bonus on top of a $5.1 million incentive bonus given to him for his job performance. And it was given to him right as he was poised to gain the power to write Bank of America’s interests directly into our trade agreements. Tell President Obama: Stop the revolving door. Withdraw the Selig nomination.”

Teacher Confiscates Bible from 2nd Grader

http://lastresistance.com/5549/teacher-confiscates-bible-2nd-grader/#HJAw2uhHsjpf3WVo.99

Posted By Dave Jolly on Apr 26, 2014

Why is it that teachers seem to be so uneducated about the trampling of the rights of their students?  If they paid any attention to the media, they would see a plethora of cases where teachers were found to be wrong when they exerted their personal agenda and violated the constitutional rights of students.  They expect students to learn what’s going on in the world around them so why aren’t the teachers practicing what they preach?

This rant is prompted by yet another teacher violating the constitutional and First Amendment rights of a second grade student at Hamilton Elementary School in the Houston suburb of Cypress, Texas.

During a ‘read to myself’ time in class, a second grade girl was reading her favorite book, the Bible.  When the teacher saw her, she took the Bible away from the girl.  The parents of the girl contacted the Liberty Institute instead of contacting the school directly.  They have asked that their identity be protected for fear of retaliation of some sort.

When attorneys with the Liberty Institute contacted the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, school officials informed all district employees that it is okay for students to read their Bibles during independent reading time.

Michael Berry, Senior Counsel with the Liberty Institute said that the school library where the incident took place contains copies of the Bible for students to check out and read, prompting him to ask:

“So if it’s appropriate for their own library, why on Earth would it not be appropriate for their own students?”

One parent who has a child attending the school, Jennifer Muse commented about the incident when she heard the news:

“They are letting them read the Hunger Games, that’s kids killing kids, why can’t she read the Bible.”

However, another parent, obviously a liberal Democrat believes the teacher responded appropriately because of the so-called separation of church and state.  This demonstrates just how much some people have been brainwashed by anti-Christian liberals.

First off there never was a separation of church and state and secondly, the First Amendment gives the student the right to read her Bible on her free time without school or teacher interference.  I suspect that the teacher involved was either ignorant of the law or had her own personal anti-Christian agenda.  Unfortunately, there are many of both kinds of teachers in the public schools and more times than not they are getting away with it.

This is another reason why I believe that every teacher should be required to take a course or courses in constitutional law so that they know what is and isn’t allowed before they ever set foot in a classroom.  Then ignorance would no longer be an excuse and teachers who try to push their own personal agenda on their students can be singled out and dealt with accordingly.

My Own Two Cents

With all the incidents happening in various parts of America, I tend to believe that this was personal, and a private agenda of this teacher. When has it ever been acceptable for any teacher, at any level, to push their own personal agenda onto their students? This is a primary reason what State run schools have become Hitler’s type of schools. The Leftist are following his design of growing a nation of children that are brainwashed to the will of the Self-Appointed; Liberal; Leftist; Marxist; Socialist; Communist; Social-Engineering; radical-Left extremist who are determined to recreate the United States into their twisted, philosophical design.

This is one patriot that will fight them every step of the way.

Common Core and Communism

Common-Core-Protest

“A lie told often enough becomes the truth,” said Vladimir Lenin who led the revolution that imposed Communism on Russia.

When he wrote, ‘Mein Kampf’, Adolf Hitler said “whoever has the youth has the future.” In his vision for the Nazi Party, education would be the key that ensured that he had ‘the youth’ of Germany fully indoctrinated.

All dictators and authoritarian regimes know that what is taught in their schools offers the greatest opportunity to maintain control over their societies.

That is what has been occurring since the introduction of the Common Core standards that the Obama regime has imposed on our national education system and the good news is that protests against it from concerned parents and others are beginning to increase and gain momentum.

Teachers will tell you that “one size fits all” does not apply in the classroom and never has. Children learn at a different pace with some doing so rapidly while others need extra help and attention. Learning that is entirely dependent on ceaseless testing puts stress on every child and that is the most common complaint about Common Core.

Education in America has been in decline since the 1960s when the teachers unions gained control over the process, putting themselves between the local boards of education and parents. Would it surprise anyone to learn that the Department of Education was established by President Jimmy Carter who signed it into law in 1979? It began operation on May 4, 1980. You will find no reference, no mention of education in the U.S. Constitution and it should not be a function of the federal government.

In a recent commentary by Joy Pullmann in The Daily Caller, she said, “The latest scheme is the field testing of Common Core assessments. This spring more than four million kids will be required to spend hours on tests that have little connection to what they learned in class this year and will provide their teachers and schools no information about what the kids know.”

“Parents who object to this scheme,” said Pullman, “face bullying and harassment from public officials. From New York to Denver to California, some schools are responding by forcing kids who opt out to sit at their desks and do nothing during the several-hour tests. Normal people call that a ‘time out’ and it is a punishment.”

Wyoming has become the first State to block a new set of national science standards that address climate change. In Michigan last year a group of protesters stopped the State from adopting the science standards.

Here are some excerpts of what the science standards teach as “The Essential Principles of Climate Science.”
BS WARNING BS ALERT

# “The impacts of climate change may affect the security of nations. Reduced availability of water, food, and land can lead to competition and conflict among humans, potentially resulting in large groups of climate refugees.”

# “Humans may be able to mitigate climate change or lessens its severity by reducing greenhouse gas concentrations through processes that move carbon out of the atmosphere or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”

# “The most immediate strategy is conservation of oil, gas, and coal, which we rely on as fuels for most of our transportation, heating, cooling, agriculture, and electricity. Short-term strategies involve switching from carbon-intensive to renewable energy sources, which also requires building new infrastructure for alternative energy sources.”
From “A Framework for K-12 Science Education” children are to be taught that “If Earth’s global mean temperature continues to rise, the lives of humans and other organisms will be affected in many different ways.” Only the Earth’s mean temperature is not rising! The planet is in a natural cooling cycle that is now seventeen years old, meaning that none of the students in today’s schools have ever experienced a single day of “global warming.”

(PLEASE READ THE REPORT AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE FOR ANSWERS ABOUT THE REAL CAUSE OF THE ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING. IT IS THE OFFICAL STATE RELIGION OF THE LEFTIST/MARXIST/SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST)

By the end of grade 8, the Framework teaches that “Human activities have significantly altered the biosphere, sometimes damaging or destroying natural habitats and causing the extinction of many other species.”  This, too, is untrue. The U.S. Endangered Species Act, despite listing thousands of species, has not officially “saved” more than a handful at best and this assertion is questionable.

By the end of grade 12, students are expected to believe that “Changes in the atmosphere due to human activity have increased carbon dioxide concentrations and thus affect climate.” While it is true that there has been an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide this is a good thing because it is an essential factor in the increase of all vegetation that includes food crops and healthier forests. Moreover, this increase does not play any role in the Earth’s climate.

The central theme of these “science standards” is to teach that we should be reducing our use of fossil fuels, the primary energy sources our nation and the world requires. What these standards do in reality is repeat and reinforce federal government laws and regulations to justify its CO2 emissions regulations based on the current method of computing the Social Cost of Carbon, but these “costs” are pure fiction.

None of the computer models that have predicted global warming over the past four decades have been accurate. None are capable of representing the state of the Earth’s vastly complex climate.

The sooner Common Core is removed from the nation’s education system, the better.

Earth religion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_religion)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Earth religion is a term used mostly in the context of neopaganism.[citation needed]

Earth-centered religion or nature worship is a system of religion based on the veneration of natural phenomena.[1] It covers any religion that worships the earth, nature, or fertility gods and goddesses, such as the various forms of goddess worship or matriarchal religion. Also most Indian religions can be included in earth religion. Some find a connection between earth-worship and the Gaia hypothesis. Earth religions are also formulated to allow one to utilize the knowledge of preserving the earth.

Origins[edit]

Annarbor tree.jpg

Origin claims by earth religion sources[edit]

According to Marija Gimbutas, pre-Indo-European societies lived in small-scale, family-based communities that practiced matrilineal succession and goddess-centered religion[2] where creation comes from the woman. She is the Divine Mother who can give life and take it away. In Irish mythology she is Danu, in Slavic mythology she is Mat Zemlya, and in other cultures she is Pachamama, Ninsun, Terra Mater, Nüwa, Matres or Shakti.

In the late 1800s, James Weir wrote an article describing the beginnings and aspects of early religious feeling. According to Boyer, early man was forced to locate food and shelter in order to survive, while constantly being directed by his instincts and senses. Because man’s existence depended on nature, men began to form their religion and beliefs on and around nature itself. It is evident that man’s first religion would have had to develop from the material world, he argues, because man relied heavily on his senses and what he could see, touch, and feel. In this sense, the worship of nature formed, allowing man to further depend on nature for survival.[3]

Neopagans have tried to make claims that religion started in ways that correspond to earth religion. In one of their published works, The Urantia Book, another reason for this worship of nature came from a fear of the world around primitive man.[4] His mind lacked the complex function of processing and sifting through complex ideas. As a result, man worshiped the very entity that surrounded him every day. That entity was nature. Man experienced the different natural phenomenons around him, such as storms, vast deserts, and immense mountains. Among the very first parts of nature to be worshiped were rocks and hills, plants and trees, animals, the elements, heavenly bodies, and even man himself. As primitive man worked his way through nature worship, he eventually moved on to incorporate spirits into his worship.[4] Although these claims may have some merit, they are nonetheless presented from a biased position that cannot be authenticated by traditional and reliable sources. Therefore, their claims can not be relied upon.
