Obama being in control of this makes it a disaster in the making. Doing things neatly or quickly is not something Obama is known for. Check it out:

President Barack Obama’s authorization of air strikes on ISIS targets in Iraq serves as an opportunity to remind ourselves which countries are bankrolling the deadly terror group.

Jihadists organize tours in their Syria, Iraq ‘caliphate’

http://www.dawn.com/news/1121060/jihadists-organise-tours-in-their-syria-iraq-caliphate

By AFP

Published about 12 hours ago
- File photoBEIRUT: Known for kidnapping, public stonings, lashings and executions, the Iraq and Al Sham (ISIS) is now expanding into tourism, taking jihadists on honeymoon and civilians to visit other parts of its “caliphate”.

Running twice-weekly tours from Syria’s Raqa to Iraq’s Anbar, ISIS’s buses fly the group’s black flag and play jihadist songs throughout the journey.

One of the first clients was Chechen jihadist Abu Abdel Rahman al-Shishani, aged 26, who took his new Syrian wife on honeymoon, according to activist Hadi Salameh.

“Just after they got married, he took her to Anbar. These jihadists are very romantic,” Salameh joked.

But the two weren’t able to sit together, because “women sit in the back, and men at the front. The bus driver plays jihadist songs all through the ride, and the ISIS black flag flies over the bus. ISIS proclaimed a ‘caliphate’ last month straddling Iraq and Syria. According to a rebel from eastern Syria, the tours started operating immediately afterwards.

It firmly controls large swathes of northern and eastern Syria, the Iraq-Syria border, and parts of northern and western Iraq.

Salameh said the group’s tour buses “start their journey in Tal Abyad (on Syria’s Turkish border) and end in Iraq’s Anbar. You can get off wherever you want, and you don’t need a passport to cross the border. “The activist, who lives in Raqa and uses a pseudonym to avoid retribution from ISIS, told AFP via the Internet the company is for profit.

“Of course it’s not free. The price varies, depending on how far you go on the bus,” Salameh said.

Armed escorts;

Syrian rebel Abu Quteiba al-Okaidi, who is from the border province of Deir Ezzor, said most of those who use the buses are foreign jihadists.

“Most of them are foreigners. They communicate in English, and wear the Afghan-style clothing preferred by jihadists,” Okaidi told AFP by telephone.

“There is a translator on the bus, who explains to them where they are going. The men on the bus are not armed, but vehicles carrying armed escorts accompany the bus,” he added.

ConfusedISIS has its roots in Iraq, but spread into Syria in late spring last year.

It gradually took over Raqa city in northern Syria, and transformed it into its bastion.

In June, ISIS spearheaded a lightning offensive in Iraq that saw large swathes of the north and west of the country fall from Iraqi government hands.

Abu Ibrahim al-Raqawi, another activist living in Raqa city, said “tour buses run twice a week, on Wednesday and Sunday. It works like any bus company would, except that it treats areas under ISIS control in Iraq and Syria as one state. “He also said the bus company is “popular” among those with relatives in Iraq.

“Many people living in this area (northern Syria through western Iraq) have tribal ties stretching across the border. So they use these buses to visit their families,” said Abu Ibrahim.

Speaking to AFP via the Internet, Abu Ibrahim also said others take the bus “to do business, while some just want to take a break from the shelling in Syria”.

Syria’s war began as a peaceful movement for democratic change, but was transformed into a war after Damascus unleashed a brutal crackdown on dissent.

Many months into the fighting, jihadists began streaming into Syria

Megyn Kelly last night reported that the terrorist organization gave Christians a Saturday deadline: Leave, convert to Islam or die.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins was on “The Kelly File” tonight to discuss this.

“I’m not sure what’s more shocking, the atrocities of ISIS or the silence of the Obama administration,” he said.

Perkins explained that Iraq is home to some of the longest surviving Christian communities.

Congressman says ISIS will use southern border to enter US: Muslim prayer rug found on Arizona border

Could this be another reason Obama doesn’t want photos in the immigrant camps?America the movie with hyperlink

Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX) told CBS’s local Dallas Fort Worth affiliate he believes that ISIS will use Texas’s southern border to enter the United States. “Of course the way they would come to the United States would be through the porous border with Mexico. The drug cartels will bring people into the country no matter who they are — for money,” says Poe.

The U.S. Border Patrol has a specific Obama defending muslimsclassification for those caught illegally entering America called OTMs (Other than Mexicans) which denotes those not of Hispanic descent. It is well known that drug cartels are assisting Islamic terrorists in gaining entrance and crossing the border. In fact it’s been going on for some time.

According to Breitbart.com, Human Events reported in 2010 that Iranian currency and prayer rugs were regularly found near the southern border.

A November 2012 House Committee on Homeland Security report from the Oversight Sub-Committee stated:

U.S. Government officials who are directly responsible for our national security continue to affirm the vulnerability. In August 2007 former Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell stated that not only have terrorists used the Southwest border to enter the United States but that they will inevitably continue to do so as long as it is an available possibility. In a July 2012 hearing before the full U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano confirmed that terrorists have crossed the Southwest border with the intent to harm the American people. Additionally, the U.S. Border Patrol regularly apprehends aliens from the 35 “special interest countries” designated by our intelligence community as countries that could export individuals that could bring harm to our country in the way of terrorism.” From Fiscal Years 2006 to 2011, there were 1,918 apprehensions of these Special Interest Aliens at our Southwest border.ISIS

ConfusedAn independent security contractor told Breitbart News last week that six Special Interest Aliens (SIA’s) from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen were picked up by U.S. border patrol near Laredo, Texas. Each one had 60,000 Iraqi Dinars ($51.00) apiece on them.

Last week in Arizona, a Muslim prayer rug was found. As reported by Breitbart.com, “Matthew Leber spokesman for the American Patriot, Three Percent, sent Breitbart News photos of what American security contractors on the ground believe is a Muslim prayer rug found near the border in Arizona last week. A member of the security team spoke with Breitbart News on Monday night saying they were on patrol right along the border came down into a wash and the area were working in just south of Sierra Vista in Coronado national forest.”

The reason why this group went down into the wash area was because the Border Patrol doesn’t go down there – in military terms, it’s a defilade position where they lose visible contact with border crossers.

According to Breitbart, the group patrolled along the border that was a patchwork of decades-old rickety fencing made from train tracks and Resist Amnestycattle enclosures. Eventually, they were 50 yards by the border and saw a break in the wash. The contractor said, “That’s when I saw this thing laying around. And I was like, ‘What the hell is that?’ We walked over there and I didn’t really want to pull at it not knowing what was on it. I poked a bit at it with a stick and noticed some of the Arabic writing and was just like, ‘Oh boy.’ I snapped a couple of photos and then went on our patrol.”

I have always said illegal immigration is a multi-headed hydra issue and the first head is our national security. Who in their right mind would allow the American southern border to be unsecured? And to hear the liberal progressives of the Democrat Party play political games and castigate blame when this is an Executive branch responsibility is disgusting.

Last week, Los Angeles Fox 11 News reporter Gigi Graciette tweeted out that sources told her, “three people on terrorist watch list were detained crossing the border illegally into CA.”

Imperial President ObamaPresident Obama says he’s well aware and briefed about what is happening on the border — does that include this information? I guess drinking beers and playing pool take precedence. And if Obama does know about this, what are his specific actions? Is this what he means by “comprehensive immigration reform?” Let the terrorists in?

Baghdad has sent a letter to the United Nations claiming that the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) insurgents have seized a small amount of nuclear materials in Mosul in Northern Iraq.

According to Reuters, who received the July 8 letter on Wednesday, Iraq’s U.N. Ambassador Mohammed Ali Al-Hakim sent a letter to the Secretary General of the U.N. Ban Ki-Moon stating that ISIS militants have seized 40 kg (88 pounds) of nuclear materials that were being held for scientific research at Mosul University.

’These nuclear materials, despite the limited amounts mentioned, can enable terrorist Confusedgroups, with the availability of the required expertise, to use it separate or in combination with other materials in its terrorist acts,’ said Alhakim.

A number of US officials familiar with the situation stated that they do not fear a serious threat, as the amount obtained would be difficult for ISIS to manufacture weapons.

’The Republic of Iraq is notifying the international community of these dangerous developments as well as asking for help and support to stave off the threat of their use by terrorists in Iraq or abroad,” Alhakim wrote.

Obama has lots of blood on his hands.
Check it out:

This video makes the shocking claim that Barack Hussein Obama is behind the newly formed Islamic State—the Caliphate that reaches from Iraq to Jordan, whose army is now marching toward our embassy in Baghdad.

Citing the just-published blockbuster book, Dark Forces, along with Muslim Brotherhood sources—the brains behind the Caliphate—and a Muslim Brotherhood member in the Department of Homeland Security, it appears to be an inescapable conclusion: that Barack Hussein Obama is in fact behind the Islamic Caliphate!

ISIS, Boko Haram share aim to establish Muslim empire

ISIS2

PedophilesThe motive fueling the recent kidnapping of 186 Kurdish school children by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria also was behind Boko Haram’s May seizure of more than 250 school girls in Nigeria, according to Middle East and terrorism analysts.

While an immediate goal is to strike fear in the hearts of the enemies of Islam, the ultimate aim is for the children, their parents and their communities to adopt the jihadists’ fundamental Islamic beliefs and submit to Shariah, or Islamic law, said Heritage Foundation Middle East analyst Jim Phillips.

Boko Haram’s campaign of terror includes massacres of Christians and destruction of their churches. Only a few dozen of the schoolgirls have been able to escape their captors, and the government has declared a state of emergency across the region.

ISIS recently was blamed for the kidnapping of the boys from Syria who had traveled to Aleppo for academic testing. They were on America the movie with hyperlinktheir way home when terrorists intercepted a convoy of minibuses and took the boys to Minbej for “training.”

“The two groups are very similar in one sense, because it’s one way for the terrorists to impose their will and intimidate the parents of these young people, not just the young people themselves,” Phillips said.

Phillips said it’s possible that one of the ISIS objectives for the kidnappings is to brainwash the teenage boys and turn them into suicide bombers.

Reports by The Australian and Britain’s Daily Mail confirm Phillips’ concern that one of the motives for ISIS for the series of kidnappings is to try to convince Kurdish school boys to become jihadists.

WND reported in June that some of the kidnapped school girls have been sold into slavery. The Los Angeles Daily News reported in May that one of Boko Haram’s objectives is to brainwash the girls into supporting the Nigerian terrorist group’s cause.

Another major goal is to put a rope around the children’s parents to control them, Phillips believes.

“One of the primary purposes would be intimidating the parents, to influence them to move away, or to facilitate some sectarian cleansing,” Phillips said.

WND reported in March 2012 that Boko Haram’s intention was to eradicate Christianity from northern Nigeria.Christian Persecution

Phillips said it’s important to remember that Middle East jihadists are “revolutionaries who are using terrorism for their purpose” of

advancing Islam.

Tyrant ObamaWND reported last week that an objective for ISIS is to redraw the borders of the Middle East by smashing the “partitioning of Muslim lands by crusader powers.”

The goal is outlined in an article in its latest weekly Web magazine, The Islamic State Report, a professionally designed mouthpiece meant to recruit would-be jihadist fighters from the West.

Revolution is also on the mind of Boko Haram. WND reported in June 2012 that the leadership of the Nigerian jihadist group declared that its goal is nothing less than a breakaway Shariah state in Nigeria’s north.

“This is a way to win supporters, to intimidate enemies and give them a taste of power and a sense of righteousness,” Phillips said. “It’s also about holding the group together and strengthening the fanaticism of the group.”

ConfusedA former CIA station chief who asked not to be named said the two groups most likely draw support and inspiration from one another.

“It is a global jihad and the different elements of it have always drawn from each others’ tactics to achieve the same strategies and objectives,” he said.

“Boko Haram draws directly from Muhammad and al-Qaida, and there can be no doubt that savvy Internet operators like ISIL/ISIS [are] aware of the positive benefits Boko Haram gained from kidnapping 300 students and killing others,” the former station chief said.

Center for Security Policy Senior Analyst Clare Lopez said there is a common source for the motives driving the two kidnappings.

“Kidnapping the Kurdish boys is somewhat similar to Boko Haram’s kidnapping of the girls, in that Islamic doctrine sanctions such behavior on both counts,” Lopez said. “This is just what Muslims on jihad do, whenever and wherever they are.”

While Phillips said he believes ISIS may be trying to neutralize Kurdish opposition using fear for the safety of the children, Lopez believes the kidnappings could have the opposite effect.

“It’s doubtful the overall Kurdish leadership will be anything but enraged. They will wreak vengeance for this kidnapping, maybe even succeed in getting the boys back,” Lopez said.

Who is better offShe added that the Kurds will fiercely defend their territory.

“They have the population numbers and fighting prowess to succeed. This is their best chance in a century to carve out an autonomous homeland for themselves,” she said.

Lopez said that while Boko Haram likely will use the kidnapped girls as sex slaves, ISIS will treat the boys as the Ottomans did Balkan boys.

“They want to deplete Kurdish male numbers, of course, but also to brainwash and turn these boys into jihad fighters to turn back against their own people,” she said.

Consultancy Africa analyst and former U.S. Embassy in Beirut staff member Maha Hamdan noted ISIS has the same Islamic supremacist doctrine as Boko Haram, al-Qaida, the perpetrators of the Syrian massacres against the Alawites, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and many other jihadist groups.

Palestinian jihadists seek unity with ISIS

ISIS flag waves at Gaza funeral

Obama defending muslimsJERUSALEM – There is an attempt by jihadist organizations in the Gaza Strip to unite under the common banner of the al-Qaida-inspired Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials.

Contacted by WND, Abu Saqer, one of the top leaders of Jihadiya Salafiya, which represents al-Qaida ideology in the Gaza Strip, confirmed the attempt to organize various jihad groups to fight Israel under the ISIS umbrella.

Saqer claimed there is also an effort to recruit jihadists to ISIS from inside the West Bank, particularly in the Hebron region.

While the exact nature of the ISIS presence in Gaza remains unclear, the group’s flags were seen flying at a funeral this past Sunday for two terrorists eliminated in an Israel Air Force strike last Friday, Israel’s daily Maariv newspaper reported. The terrorists’ coffins were reportedly also draped in ISIS flags.

The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement the two targeted terrorists, Osama ConfusedHassumi, 29, and Mohammad Fatzih, 24, were responsible for rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip aimed at Israeli civilian population zones.

The IDF said the two terrorists belonged to the Salah e-Din Brigades of the Popular Front group.

Further highlighting the possible presence of ISIS-aligned fighters in Gaza, Maariv reported Saturday that Egyptian special forces arrested a terrorist cell that had used tunnels to cross from Gaza into the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula.

The newspaper quoted sources saying that Egypt’s interrogation of cell revealed the group was planning to set up ISIS cells inside the Sinai to target the Egyptian government.

Hamas, however, denied the Egyptian claim of ISIS terrorists originating in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas. Iyad Bazam, a Hamas spokesman, called the claims “blatant lies” that are “part of the ongoing Egyptian smear campaign against the Gaza Strip.”

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, head of the Islamic State or Iraq and the Levant, has released a 19-minute video calling on Muslims to build an ‘Islamic state’

The leader of extremist group ISIS has called on Muslims to come to the territory his group has seized to help build an Islamic state.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, head of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, said in a 19-minute audiotape released online on Tuesday: ‘Muslims, rush to your state. Yes, it is your state.’

In the audio, posted on militant websites which have been used by the group before, the leader makes a special call to those with practical skills – such as scholars, judges, doctors, engineers and people with military and administrative expertise – to come ‘answer the dire need of the Muslims for them’.

He also calls on jihadi fighters to increase fighting in the holy month of Ramadan, which began on Sunday.

He said: ‘In this virtuous month or in any other month, there is no deed better than jihad in the path of Allah, so take advantage of this opportunity and walk the path of you righteous predecessors.

‘So to arms, to arms, soldiers of the Islamic, fight, fight.’

The tape was released online two days after the organisation unilaterally declared the establishment of an Islamic state, or caliphate, in the land it controls, changing its name to the Islamic State.

It also proclaimed al-Baghdadi the caliph – the head of state in a caliphate – and demanded that all Muslims around the world pledge allegiance to him.

The voice resembled that on other audiotapes said to be by al-Baghdadi, an Iraqi militant who has rarely been photographed or appeared in public.

Meanwhile, claims have emerged that ISIS militants, which are continuing to advance in Syria, are in possession of a massive long-distance ballistic missile.

The weapon pictured being paraded by ISIS militants in Raqqa is believed to have been captured from another rebel group, the Free Syrian Army.

The FSA are understood to have acquired the Soviet-built missile when it captured a military base from government forces in the Deir ez-Zor region of Syria last September.

It is not known how the weapon ended up in the hands of ISIS, but social media accounts linked to militants fighting for the group in Iraq and Syria claimed they are now preparing it for use.

‘Dawla Islamiyya (The Islamic State) has SCUD missile in #Raqqa. [God willing] its heading towards #Israel for a spectacular Eid ul fitr,’ an ISIS suspporter calling himself Ansar Udeen said on Twitter.

A number of experts have poured cold water on the idea that the missile could be a threat, however.

Elliot Nelson, a blogger who tracks munitions used in Syria, tweeted: ‘The only danger that Islamic State scud is to anyone at the moment is if they accidentally run over a pedestrian showing it off.’

Meanwhile Charles Lister – an expert on the Syrian conflict who works at the at the Brookings Doha Center research organisation – called the missile 99 per cent useless, according to the Telegraph.

This morning, Iraq’s newly elected members of parliament attended their first government session in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone.

The new parliament ended its inaugural session by failing to make any progress in choosing a new prime minister – even as the country faces a militant blitz that threatens to rip it apart.

World leaders and senior clerics have urged Iraq’s fractious politicians to unite in the face of the militant onslaught, which has killed more than 2,000 people, displaced hundreds of thousands and polarised the country’s Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish populations.

their control represent the establishment of a caliphate.

The news was described by Mr Lister as the ‘most significant development in international jihadism since 9/11’.

Upon declaring a caliphate, the Sunni militants – whose brutality in attempting to establish control in Iraq and Syria has been branded too extreme even by Al Qaeda – demanded allegiance from Muslims around the world.

With brutal efficiency, ISIS has carved out a large chunk of territory that has effectively erased the border between Iraq and Syria and laid the foundations of its proto-state.

Now that it feels it has secure the territory under its control, the group announced it would be changing its name from the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (also known as the Levant), to just the Islamic State, in order to appear less regional.

A spokesman for ISIS declared the group’s chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as the leader of the new caliphate and called on Muslims everywhere, not just those in areas under the organization’s control, to swear loyalty to him.

‘The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the caliph’s authority and the arrival of its troops to their areas,’ said Abu Mohammed al-Adnani.

‘Listen to your caliph and obey him. Support your state, which grows every day,’ he added in an audio statement posted online.

Al-Adnani loosely defined the state territory as running from northern Syria to the Iraqi province of Diyala – a vast stretch of land straddling the border that is already largely under ISIS control.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/dgreenfield/obama-announces-plan-to-fight-al-qaeda-by-arming-al-qaeda/

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

obama-syria-mapI can’t see how this plan could possibly go wrong.

The Obama administration asked Congress on Thursday to authorize $500 million in direct U.S. military training and equipment for Syrian opposition fighters.

Obama didn’t ask Congress for authorization to invade Libya. He told Congress that he wouldn’t ask for permission to bomb Iraq.

The only reason Obama asks for something is to score political points or to cover his ass. In this case it’s the latter because even Obama knows this is a terrible idea.

That’s why he has been delaying for so long.

Within the OCO request, the Syria money is part of a $5 billion fund announced by Obama last month to help build a new Trigger the Votecounterterrorism infrastructure with partner countries “from South Asia to the Sahel.”

Eagle ReallySo Obama is going engage in counterterrorism… by arming and training terrorists. That’s like running guns to Mexican drug cartels to stop Mexican drug cartels from having guns…

… another brilliant Obama plan.

The request does not specify the type of military equipment that would be included. Under the existing covert program, the administration has sent limited quantities of small arms and ammunition and has allowed others to send U.S.-made antitank weapons.

ConfusedSo we’re going to be giving them unspecified weapons that could be used against American targets.

A US chopper in Afghanistan was already shot down by the Taliban using a Qatari shipment of Stinger missiles meant for Libya.

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

That was another of Obama’s great plans.

Obama turned a blind eye to Qatar smuggling weapons to Jihadists in Syria.

The $500 million training and equipping mission would be aimed at helping “vetted elements” of the Syrian armed opposition to “defend the Syrian people, stabilize areas under opposition control, facilitate the provision of essential services, counter terrorist threats, and promote conditions for a negotiated settlement.”   Really 01

What exactly are these “vetted elements”?

1. Last spring the New York Times wrote, “Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of.”

2. The only opposition we supposedly backed was the Free Syrian Army.

Unfortunately…

A. The Free Syrian Army consisted of a coalition of mostly Islamist militias under Islamist commanders, some of whom carried out joint operations with Al Qaeda/Al Nusra Front, which has pledged alliance to ISIS/Al Qaeda in Iraq.

B. An Islamist coalition easily took on the FSA and stole all the stuff we gave them while their fighters ran away.

C. 4 out of 5 FSA front commanders demanded to work with Al Qaeda.

D. Its leader initially defended Al Qaeda/Al Nusra and claimed they weren’t terrorists.

3. There is no such thing as a “vetted opposition” because the weapons we give will go down to individual groups that can align with whoever they chose and trade weapons with anyone they choose.

The FSA fighter we train today may be an Al Qaeda fighter tomorrow or he may have been Al Qaeda last week.

4. ISIS got so big and dangerous because of the weapons and recruits pouring into the Syrian opposition. Trying to arm and train “moderate elements” just keeps the conflict going which makes Al Qaeda grow faster and bigger than ever.

You can’t beat Al Qaeda by helping Al Qaeda.

ISIS sees cash cow in capture of Iraqi oil fields

iraq oil

WASHINGTON – The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, is targeting Iraq’s oil fields as part of its plan to raise revenue and Trigger the Votebuild its caliphate infrastructure.

The move makes it unlikely the ISIS would destroy the fields, unless the Iraqi military regroups and attempts to recapture them.

In addition to the oil and natural gas field in the Sunni-controlled region of Iraq, ISIS is about to capture the Balad Air Base just north of Baghdad where U.S. F-16s were slated to be based. ISIS is advancing on the Haditha Dam, which produces power and controls the flow of water to the south into the Shiite-controlled region of Iraq.

As a result of its blitzkrieg moves from Syria into Iraq in recent weeks, ISIS has virtual control over Iraq’s largest oil refinery, the Bayji facility in Salahaddin province. In Syria, the jihadist group has taken control of the Al Omar oil field in Deir al Zour province near the town of Al Mayadin.

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

The gains are in addition to its takeover of the Ajeel oil wells east of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit. Along with the oil wells, ISIS has captured a natural gas field called Ajeel.

All of this has sources convinced ISIS is targeting Iraq’s oil infrastructure. If ISIS proceeds south, it then would be in a position to capture the oil fields in that region of the country as well as in Kuwait, both of which provide oil for the world economy.

For ISIS, these oil fields are revenue generators. In addition, control over the flow of water into the south puts additional pressure on the Shiite government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki

For these reasons, it’s likely ISIS won’t destroy the air base, oil wells or the Haditha Dam. That could change if the Iraqi military regroups and attempts to take back the facilities, but that appears unlikely for now.

ConfusedISIS sees all of the facilities as part of its grand plan not only to raise revenue but help in building a caliphate subject to strict Islamic, or Shariah, law.

The vision by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is to create an Islamic caliphate. It would stretch from the Mediterranean through Mesopotamia, or modern-day Iraq, which also includes the countries of Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and even Israel, an area once referred to as Greater Syria.

As ISIS takes control of the region, it can help ensure a following by using oil revenue to finance social programs and restore public services.

In many instances, ISIS has been able to get electricity and water resources functioning again in towns it now occupies and create a series of social programs to provide other essential needs for the population.

The ISIS targeting of the oil fields is reminiscent of the U.S. priority in 2003 to revitalize the oil industry for foreign investors once the Iraqi government was back in friendly hands. However, there were little or no plans for post-war reconstruction.

“Are you smelling a “RAT” in the White House? Is this all too contrived? Is President Obama’s hands all over this along with the Muslim Brotherhood members of his administration? Is this why president Obama released the FIVE TALIBAN LEADERS? Was Bergdahl’s release just a cover to help set all this up? Who again was the one that release the man responsible for creating this ISIS movement from custody? Oh yea, President Obama. Not passing the smell test here folks.” JB

Indeed, the Bush administration had intentions of partitioning Iraq into three autonomous areas for Sunnis, Kurds and Shiites.

In 2002, however, the private U.S. intelligence firm Stratfor questioned the approach, predicting it would lead to a fracturing of the country.

“The new government’s attempts to establish control over all of Iraq may well lead to a civil war between Sunni, Shia and Kurdish ethnic groups. … The fiercest fighting could be expected for control over the oil facilities.”

This is precisely what is occurring today with the ISIS blitzkrieg across Iraq.

Imperial-PresidentThe U.S. strategy in developing the oil fields for future world sales, however, assumed U.S. troops would remain for generations as they did in Germany after World War II.

However, in less than 10 years, U.S. troops were removed from Iraq, creating a power vacuum that has brought the sectarian groups to what now amounts to a civil war.

In 2002, Stratfor predicted such an event if Iraq were split along sectarian lines.

“After eliminating Iraq as a sovereign state, there would be no fear that one day an anti-American government would come to power in Baghdad, as the capital would be in Amman (Jordan). Current and potential U.S. geopolitical foes Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria would be isolated from each other with big chunks of land between them under control of the pro-U.S. forces,” Stratfor said.

“Equally important, Washington would be able to justify its long-term and heavy military presence in the region as necessary for the defense of a young new state asking for U.S. protection – and to secure the stability of oil markets and supplies. That in turn would help the United States gain direct control of Iraqi oil and replace Saudi oil in case of conflict with Riyadh.”

“I SMELL A RAT. ANYONE ESLE SMELLING IT?” JB

Today, however, it is ISIS that controls the oil fields and could head into southern Iraq to take the country’s other oil and natural gas fields and threaten Saudi Arabia.

The prospect raises concern over who would control world oil production and its pricethe markets, or ISIS.

US flying armed drones over Iraq, official says

Obama defending muslimsThe United States is flying armed drones over Iraq, a senior U.S. Defense official confirmed to Fox News, though the aircraft are not being sent at this time to engage Sunni militant fighters.

The U.S. already was flying surveillance drones over the country, and the decision to dispatch armed drones marks an escalation. But the armed drones, at this stage, still are only in place for surveillance purposes.

President Obama has not authorized combat operations in Iraq. The decision to deploy armed drones is described as defensive — they could, if needed, be used to protect U.S. troops or the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

The White House is still weighing how deeply to get involved in the Iraq crisis, as the Shiite-led government struggles to stop the advances of Sunni militants with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.

Secretary of State John Kerry has been on a weeklong tour through the Middle East and Europe in pursuit of a diplomatic solution that could ease sectarian tensions. He was in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

ConfusedThe Obama administration, meanwhile, has begun sending military advisers into Baghdad to help Iraqi security forces strategize against ISIS, which the State Department considers a terrorist group.

“That is what the State Department said about the Muslim Brotherhood, who is in bed with the Obama Administration, not to forget the 6 Muslim Brotherhood members of the Obama Administration. Based on that, it is understandable why the administration is only flying surveillance, not offensive. They do not want to fire on themselves. Anything coming out of the State Department is suspect.” JB

The drones are most likely being flown out of bases in surrounding countries, including possibly Turkey, though the drone pilots themselves may be U.S.-based.

In Egypt, Kerry has sympathetic words for Muslim Brotherhood. Whose side is he on?

A perplexed Secretary of State, John “Lurch” Kerry

 Who is better off

Wait a minute — I thought it was up to the Iraqi government to figure this little situation out for themselves? ISIS marches on and Shiite clerics are threatening the United States of America, all the while Iran is poised to become a regional hegemony. And the Obama administration hints that it’s willing to work with Iran to resolve the crisis in Iraq. Confused yet? So far lots of talk and declarations, but nothing to halt the advance of a radical Islamist army.

But what really alarmed me were these words from a Kerry aide:

“We do not share the view of the Egyptian government about links between the Muslim Brothers and terrorist groups like ISIS [the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq]. [Egyptian leaders] need to include, and find ways to reach out to, the Muslim Brothers. … With regard to the challenge that the Muslim Brothers pose, I would characterize it more as a political challenge than a security challenge.”

Obama defending muslimsLunacy, pure unadulterated lunacy and this is what we’re sending to represent the United States? This is naiveté and incompetence but the more frightening prospect is collusion and complicity.

Perhaps Kerry and his aides should read Erick Stakelbeck’s book on the Muslim Brotherhood, their history and their objectives. This is why the Obama administration is incapable of contending with the issue of Islamic totalitarianism.

We recently wrote a piece here on Senator Patrick Leahy’s assertions against supporting the current Egyptian government — apparently Kerry staffers echo the same sentiments, “Aides traveling with Kerry, who has met el-Sisi before, said he will seek to impress upon the new president that the key to luring foreign investment and tourism back to the land of the pyramids is for el-Sisi to take steps to make his country’s political and legal systems more inclusive and fair.”

I suppose the Kerry State Department and the Obama administration felt the Muslim Brotherhood government of Mohammed Morsi was inclusive and fair in its drive towards a sharia state?

State Department officials cited those concerns — from Egypt’s recent staging of mass trials, with hundreds of defendants and across-the-board death penalties imposed, to the jailing of journalists and a near-epidemic of unpunished sexual violence — as reasons why the Obama administration and Congress have not restored all of the U.S. foreign aid and military assistance suspended last year in the wake of the coup against Morsi.

ConfusedPerhaps the State Department has forgotten that 36 million Egyptians took to the streets to rid themselves of the cancer known as the Muslim Brotherhood. They don’t seem to understand that the only way to end the scourge is to eradicate the Brotherhood — after all, it was the Brotherhood who assassinated Egyptian President Anwar Sadat because he sought peace with Israel.

The Islamists – along with Putin, Rouhani, and China — know that this is their time, their moment is at hand. The modern day embodiment of Sir Neville Chamberlain occupies the White House and his emissary John Kerry is his disciple of defeat and subjugation. America has gone from championship-level exceptionalism to being the Bad News Bears. Time for a Churchill.

ISIS threatens to storm Jordan with 15,000 fighters

Trigger the VoteTEL AVIV – Members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria are claiming on jihadist websites that the group is preparing an operation in which more than 15,000 of its militants will storm into Jordan, WND has found.

The claims were made on Arabic jihadist websites in which the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, is known to be active.

While it was unclear whether or not the ISIS could fulfill its threat to storm Jordan, the al-Qaida-inspired group on Sunday reportedly seized control of Iraq’s main border crossing with Jordan.

Alongside its capture of the Turabil border crossing, three more towns in Iraq’s western Anbar province fell to ISIS, putting the jihadist group within reach of Jordan.

According to informed Middle Eastern security officials, Jordan has been holding emergency meetings since Sunday to discuss a possible

military response, while the Jordanian air force was placed on high alert.

ISIS previously posted a video on YouTube threatening to move on Jordan and “slaughter” King Abdullah, whom they view as an enemy of Islam.

Israel, meanwhile, is watching ISIS developments in neighboring Jordan particularly closely amid fears the violence could ultimately spill over to the Jewish state’s own borders.

Sunday, the Israel Air Force hit nine Syrian military targets in retaliation for a cross-border missile attack that killed a 13-year-old Israeli boy. The Israel Defense Forces said its jets and artillery missiles targeted Syrian command posts and firing positions.

The Syrian missile that struck inside Israel may have been intended for insurgents fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, including at sites near Israel on the Syrian side of the border.

Nevertheless, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said the Jewish state held Assad’s government responsible for Sunday’s missile attack.

“We see the regime of Bashar Assad and the Syrian military as responsible for what occurs in the territory under their control, and we will respond aggressively and harshly against any provocation and violation of our sovereignty,” stated Ya’alon.

Mosul in Iraq last week and has been pushing south towards Baghdad, announced it is also preparing an offensive in northern Syria.

In a statement dated June 17, 2014, and published on several Arabic websites, ISIS called on its fighters to attack the city of Al-Qamishli and its rural areas.  In the last several hours a number of bombings have been reported on Twitter and some reports say the airport of Qamishli has been heavily damaged.

As Michael Rubin reported in February in The Wall Street Journal, Christians, Kurds and Arabs have been conducting a quiet experiment in self-rule in this region of northeast Syria.  The region was left largely undefended as President Assad’s forces were drawn to clashes further west, so residents came together to keep day-to-day life running smoothly. Popular Protection Units (YPG), a kind of people’s militia, have been keeping the Islamists at bay.  While predominantly Kurdish, the YPG also have been joined by Arabs and Syrian Christians.  In early May, the YPG fought alongside the Free Syrian Army in clashes with ISIS forces in Raqqa province.  And unlike the ISIS fighters, who prefer their women fully veiled, the YPG have men and women fighting alongside each other.

“I want to make sure you did not gloss over that. “Michael Rubin reported in February in The Wall Street Journal, Christians, Kurds and Arabs have been conducting a quiet experiment in self-rule in this region of northeast Syria.……..so residents came together to keep day-to-day life running smoothly. s militia, have been keeping the Islamists at bay.  While predominantly Kurdish, the YPG also have been joined by Arabs and Syrian Christians.

“Not even FOX is telling us that. That is good news, and something we all can do our part and help them fight this fight by doing the Spiritual Warfare necessary to get God giving them the victory. Can I count on you?” JB

angry 05The ISIS statement of June 17 says the following:

ISIS calls its units of God to lift high their banner of Islam in the Al-Hasaka governorate and “to free it from the Syrian regime, the grandchildren of the Jews, the Zionist Kurdish PYD and the grandchildren of the Crusaders, the Christian infidels.”

The sharia court of ISIS issued a Fatwa proclaiming Al-Qamishli and its rural area as the rightful property of ISIS. The ISIS statement proclaims that after seeking God, jihadists should do the following:

1.  Burn and bring down all houses of entertainment in Al-Qamishli.

2. Burn all stores selling alcohol and cigarettes.

3. Take full control of the famed “Jewelry market” of Al-Qamishli, and all silver and gold in the market is to be taken by the ISIS fighters because it is rightfully theirs.

4. Take full control of all food and clothing stores in order to give it to their brother jihadist fighters.

5.  Empty the city of all Christians: Take their women; they are yours, and behead the Christian men. Empty the city of all Kurds, who are the grandchildren of deceivers; take out from the city the family of al Khaznawi and kill them all.  (Sheikh Khaznawi was a Kurdish cleric in Qamishli who was assassinated in June 2005.)  With the statement ISIS issued to its fighting units a map of Al-Hasaka, Al-Qamishli and other suburbs, where the above five tasks are to be carried out “according to the command of Allah.”

Some commentators have said that neither the Assad regime nor the Kurds fear an ISIS advance on Qamishli.  But after their surprise conquest of Mosul, perhaps previous assessments of ISIS’s strength and boldness should be reconsidered.

DHS Adviser Says Caliphate’s Return Inevitable

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2014/06/16/DHS-Adviser-Says-Caliphates-Return-Inevitable

16 Jun 2014 231 post a comment

ConfusedA member of President Obama’s Homeland Security Advisory Council known for controversial Twitter posts that seem to support the Muslim Brotherhood wrote Friday that it is “inevitable that ‘Caliphate’ returns.”

Mohamed Elibiary has been controversial since he was first appointed to the taskforce in 2010. He was closely associated with Shukri abu Baker, former executive director of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development–one of five people convicted for illegal Hamas support in 2008. Elibiary argued that there was a “lack of evidence” in the HLF case and suggested that it was a political prosecution.

He previously praised the late Muslim Brotherhood ideologue Sayyid Qutb, whose ideas have undergirded the modern jihadist movement–especially his call for violent jihad and for the purification of Islam from the forces of unbelief–on Twitter.

“Are you getting this? This is a man in the Obama Administration. Now read the previous paragraph again and ask yourself who our president supports. If you need help with that answer, then you have a lot to learn.” JB

Qutb believed that if the Caliphate–abolished in 1924–ever were to be re-established, that a vanguard would need to replace the regime of one country with an Islamic state, much as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) aims to do in Iraq and Syria.

Baghdad served as the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate from 762 A.D. until the city was sacked by the Mongols in 1258 A.D.

#Silly. As I’ve said b4 inevitable that ‘Caliphate’ returns. Choice only whether we support #EU like Muslim Union vision or not,” Elibiary wrote in response to question from David Reaboi, who formerly worked for the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C., about the ISIS rampage through Iraq last week.

Elibiary responded to a question from Reaboi asking if there was a need to be “outraged” about CNN reports about religious restrictions ISIS was imposing in Iraq.

#CNN just broadcast list of #ISIS hudod rules [acceptable behavior]. Reminds me of how we were outraged pre 9/11 by #Taliban banning white socks 4 women. #Iraq,” Elibiary wrote.

Reaboi then asked Elibiary if he supported restoring the caliphate, but Elibiary declined to give him a direct answer. Instead, he suggested that conservatives, including the Investigative Project on Terrorism, had misread the lessons of 9/11.

“Y’all in the #NatSec ubber hawks camp misread 9/11 & should reassess ur belligerence. #CSP #IPT #Blaze,” Elibiary tweeted.

Elibiary earned the ire of the Coptic community last fall after he sent out a series of offensive tweets. He also drew criticism in November for describing America as an “Islamic country” with an “Islamically compliant constitution.”

Considering Elibiary’s history, this exchange about a return of the Islamic Caliphate is unlikely to be his last controversial Twitter post.

America Arms Jihadists in Syria – Then Fights Exact Same Jihadists in Iraq

Reported by

It is OK to be confused at this point. *scratches head*

If I could pick one word to describe Barack Obama’s foreign policy, it would be “chaos.”

I am not sure how many Americans actually realize that the people we are now going to fight in Iraq are the same men that Barack Obama and

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

congress have funded in Syria. Though this would not be the first time that our own soldiers have been shot at with guns we provided, this is now far beyond the point of insanity.

Fox News is drifting more and more left every single day. They reported yesterday that ISIS has American-made Stinger Missiles.

U.S. officials with access to the latest U.S. intelligence on Iraq told Fox News it “appears likely/probable” that U.S.-made Stinger missiles have fallen into the hands of Sunni insurgents.

It is possible that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) fighters acquired them from army bases they have taken over in recent days, the sources said.

ConfusedThis just in! There is another possibility as well. Anyone who thinks that these terrorists have to beg, borrow or steal Stinger Missiles is a complete idiot. The CIA was running Stingers through Libya, and those missiles were making their way to Syria. That is how we were funding the rebels before we officially funded the rebels.

And now those same rebels become our enemy, but only if they cross the Iraqi border. Those inside of Syria are still our friends. And if any of those in Iraq should take a break to head back to Syria, they become our friends once again. Any questions?

Furthermore, the same Iranians, whose motto is “Death to America,” are now clearly our friends, but only inside the borders of Iraq. Actually, with Obama, that is not the case. He loves Iran. For those of us with common sense, we are now being asked to consider Iran an ally, but only within the context of this new Iraqi conflict. We will all kill each other later.

You don’t hear much truth from the news media in America. But for anyone with any doubts, I’d like to share with you with a quote from the CBC:

You only have to look at the ruined towns northeast of the Syrian city of Aleppo to understand what happened in Iraq’s Mosul.

The names of “martyred” fighters line the walls, alongside invocations to obey Sharia law, through miles of crumpled buildings, rubble and unexploded ammunition.

“These people use different names, so if one is defeated the other can claim victory,” says Col. Mohamed Saleh of the Syrian army as he surveys the wreckage of a factory in which 27 of his soldiers were killed.

“They call themselves ISIL, al-Nusrah Front, Deach, but they are all the same.”

These very same jihadis — which the Syrian forces have been defeating — are now surging towards Baghdad, some of them, perhaps, the very same men who fought Bashar al-Assad’s regime in northern Syria.

Who is better offIs it all crystal-clear now?

If you choose to believe this narrative that we are only supplying aid to the “good rebels” or “moderate rebels” in Syria then be my guest. Either way, they have weapons that were made here and will use them to try to kill our people. If you want to believe that they stole them from the “good rebels,” or from those they conquered, then I will respectfully disagree, but it does not change the fact that this was bad foreign policy.

It isn’t much different than the Stingers that were “stolen” in Libya or the M-16s that were “stolen” in Kuwait. At best it is incompetence. At worst it is complicity, which spells TREASON.

This is America. We expect results.

Before you jump on the “Bush did this…” bandwagon, please save your breath. Bush did his fair share of damage. We have to find a way to deal with what is happening now. This is about having a leader who is not doing his job.

Iraq violence slingshots Brent, WTI to highest levels of 2014

iraq

Sectarian violence in Iraq sent the price of oil skyrocketing on Thursday, propelling both Brent and West Texas Intermediate up more than two percent to their highest levels of the year amid growing concerns about a threat to global supply.

After a delayed reaction to turmoil raging in the country, oil prices soared as open warfare between rebel forces—threatening a reconquest of Iraq barely a few years after U.S. forces departed—and the government spilled on to the world stage. Iraq is a member of OPEC, second only to Saudi Arabia as one of the world’s largest producers of crude.

Read More: Iraq burns again: What has sparked the fire?

With violence threatening Iraq’s civilian population and overwhelming the country’s security forces, a shadowy group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Sham (ISIS) has managed to seize control of key cities including Mosul, the country’s second-largest, Ramadi, Falluja and Tikrit. Fears about global supply mounted, as reports surfaced that Russian tanks had moved into beleaguered Ukraine, sending crude on a tear and overwhelming the impact of lackluster U.S. economic data.

“That’s the big story: what will happen if…the (insurgents) don’t get what they want? Oil prices will go significantly higher,” said Richard Hastings, macro strategist at Global Hunter Securities. “It’s history in the making.”

As the flames of instability rage in Syria and Libya, another major oil producer, “the map of the Middle East is being rebuilt,” he added.

Until recently, Iraq’s oil production had recovered to levels seen prior to the 2003 war that destabilized the country. The country pumped 3.6 million barrels of crude a day in February, an annual output record that exceeded 1979’s water mark.

Analysts say that although the U.S. energy renaissance has helped to contain the threat of an oil shock, risks to the stability of global oil supply have heightened considerably.

Damaged vehicles belonging to Iraqi security forces are seen during clashes between Iraqi security forces and al Qaeda-linked Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the northern Iraq city of Mosul, June 10, 2014.

Reuters Damaged vehicles belonging to Iraqi security forces are seen during clashes between Iraqi security forces and al Qaeda-linked Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the northern Iraq city of Mosul, June 10, 2014.

Read MoreOil will stay above $100, say big energy investors

“Prices would be significantly higher by about 10—12 percent if it were not for U.S. shale oil,” said Hastings. He added that ISIS insurgents could easily throw the country into more chaos by disrupting the flow of both electricity and crude.

The surge in crude helped yank major U.S. stocks sharply lower. Brent climbed by nearly $3 to over $113 a barrel for the first time in 2014, and its highest since September 10. U.S. crude soared by $2.13 to settle at $106.53 a barrel, its highest since mid-September 2013.

Natural gas prices have risen even more dramatically than oil in the wake of the violence, up 23 cents per mmBtu to $4.74, a hike of 5.19 percent.

17The United States said on Wednesday it is working with Iraq’s leaders on a coordinated response to regain lost territory and would provide additional assistance to Baghdad. Iraq’s southern oilfield export facilities, which ship about 2.6 million barrels per day (bpd), were “very, very safe”, the country’s oil minister Abdul Kareem Luaibi said on Wednesday.

“With this administration, what they “SAY” and what they will do are typically very different things.” JB

Still, early predictions that Iraq could pump record barrels per oil this year are looking optimistic at best. Economists at Capital Economics note that with Libya’s output looking increasingly tenuous, “Iraq’s aim of increasing output to 4 million bpd this year looks ambitious and hopes that the easing of sanctions on Iran would lead to a surge in production have been disappointed.”

The Saudis, however, may be able to offset a shortage of Iraqi crude. “The country currently has as much as 2.5m bpd of spare capacity which it could use to meet any increase in demand or if output from other OPEC members falls short. This should ensure that oil supply from OPEC should, at least, remain stable,” the firm wrote in a research note this week.

oil

Oil prices were also supported by last week’s 2.6 million bpd drop in crude inventories, which came just as the summer driving season gets underway.

The tumult in the Middle East, combined with falling gasoline stockpiles domestically, all but certain to renew upward pressure on domestic retail gasoline prices. Nationally, gas is flirting near $4 per gallon, frustrating cash-strapped drivers who have yet to feel the benefits of the U.S. energy boom.

Read MoreWall Street, Big Oil and your pain at the gas pump

“Oil acts as a tax on consumers,” explained Joel Guth, CEO of Gryphon Financial Partners, a member of the Hightower network. “We’re moving into the summer driving season, and if they spend more on energy consumption, it takes more money away from discretionary spending. Certainly all signs point to more volatility in oil producing countries, not less.”
