The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is hiring illegal border crossers with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status and equipping them with guns to police American citizens in California.

President Barack Obama’s 2012 DACA order indefinitely delays the deportation of illegal border crossers who enter the United States claiming to be minors. Recipients do not start becoming U.S. citizens unless they apply for a green card. That is why many seek endless DACA renewals that allow them to continue working and living in the States while still foreign citizens and admitted border lawbreakers.

of obtaining citizenship to serve as law enforcement. In 2022, the Democrat legislature passed a law authorizing any of the hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossers, including DACA recipients, who obtain work authorization to join police forces across the state. While some cities like Sacramento refused to hire illegal border crossers due to concerns about gun law violations, LAPD handed jobs and firearms to nearly a dozen DACA aliens. Capt. Robin Petillo told CalMatters these illegal border crossers will “possess department-issued firearms on and off duty.” The department also plans to give jobs to illegally present foreigners who are currently in police training.

“We’ve tried to carve just what is necessary for DACA, and these individuals be treated on the same basis of which non-DACA recipients are, as to the possession of a department firearm and its use,” Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore told ABC 7.

The Second Amendment states it is “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” “The people,” according to American court precedent, refers to U.S. citizens only. The 1968 Gun Control Act, passed by a Democrat trifecta, also prohibits illegally present foreign citizens from possessing firearms and ammunition. The Fifth Circuit Court Of Appeals ruled in 2017 that DACA does not exempt illegal border crossers from that gun law. An exception in the 1968 law, however, allows for illegal border crossers to possess guns “for the use of, the United States or any department or agency thereof or any State or any department, agency, or political subdivision thereof.” That means this federal provision technically provides any local or state government office, even if they don’t have a law like California’s, to arm illegal border crossers.

So, in the case of the LAPD, a criminal foreign citizen who doesn’t have the constitutionally secured right to bear arms but was hired by a U.S. police department could arrest and even disarm a U.S. citizen who does have Second Amendment rights.

Under President Joe Biden and Democrats, illegal border crossers aren’t just getting jobs in local police departments, they are being rewarded for breaking U.S. laws with free transportation, shelter, and prepaid debit cards.

Hunter Biden Delaware Plea Deal Collapses

A potential plea deal between Hunter Biden and the Justice Department collapsed Friday after attorneys for both sides failed to finalize an agreement.

“Hunter Biden’s plea deal has collapsed. Talks with gov’t at an impasse,” Vox.com’s Andrew Prokop tweeted Friday with a screen grab of a court filing.

“DOJ filing: ‘Following additional negotiations after the hearing held on July 26, 2023, the parties are at an impasse and are not in agreement on either a plea agreement or a diversion agreement.'”

The court document adds: “Therefore, the Government believes the Court’s briefing order should be vacated.”

Prokop later tweeted: “DOJ says they are moving to dismiss the Delaware case against Hunter so they can file tax charges against him in CA or DC.”

Delaware U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika rejected a proposed plea deal on July 26 when she questioned aspects of the agreement for Biden to plead guilty to tax charges and avoid a gun charge. The judge told Hunter Biden’s lawyers and prosecutors that they could persuade her to approve the deal as it was previously negotiated, or to alter it to a form she can accept. She said she did not want to “rubber stamp” a plea deal.

President Joe Biden’s son then pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to pay taxes on more than $1.5 million in income in 2017 and 2018 despite owing more than $100,000, prosecutors allege.

The document shared by Prokop said DOJ officials requested Biden’s plea position on Wednesday and Friday. After his attorneys requested more time, until Monday, prosecutors declined.

Noreika released the proposed plea deal last week to satisfy a request from an NBC News reporter. Large portions of the plea deal were read in court on July 26.

On July 28, Noreika ordered attorneys Friday to raise issues with her chambers, not the court clerk. The order came two days after an employee at a law firm representing Biden allegedly misrepresented her identity to the clerk’s office during a phone call.

New York Dem Trying to Require Gun Owners to Purchase Liability Insurance

If they can’t completely ban firearms, they can at least make it so expensive and burdensome to own them that people give up trying. One Democrat Representative from New York is trying to make it a law that gun owners purchase liability insurance while facing $10,000 in fines for noncompliance. If the law is anything like legislation introduced in California a couple years ago, there will be lower insurance rates offered if the owners’ guns are unloaded, disassembled and locked away in a safe at all times. In other words, if your gun is rendered useless at all times, then you can qualify for lower premiums. The Hill reported:

House Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney (N.Y.) has introduced a bill that would require gun owners to carry liability insurance.

The Firearm Risk Protection Act, unveiled Friday, would require gun buyers to have liability insurance coverage before being allowed to purchase a weapon, and would impose a fine of $10,000 if an owner is found not to have it. Service members and law enforcement officers, however, would be exempt from the requirement.

“We require insurance to own a car, but no such requirement exists for guns,” Maloney said in a statement. “The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.”

Maloney said auto insurance carriers incentivize drivers to take precautions to reduce accidents, but no such incentives exist for firearm owners. 

“An insurance requirement would allow the free market to encourage cautious behavior and help save lives,” she said. “Adequate liability coverage would also ensure that the victims of gun violence are fairly compensated when crimes or accidents occur.”who want unarmed citizens

The “free market?” This proposed government mandate has nothing to do with the “free market.” A free market would never allow a law to be passed that requires that everyone purchase a particular product. That’s the result of crony capitalism. The insurance industry just wants more customers. What better way is there to ensure industry growth than by forcing people, under threat of government-imposed heavy fines, to buy something, in this case liability insurance policies?

These lawmakers, perhaps unwittingly, are slowly driving gun ownership out of existence through taxes, fees, fines and regulations.
