I doubt that there is any national or religious group that produces the percentage of people who aid those who wish to hurt, let alone kill, that group as do Jews. empty alt attribute

When one observes Jews who defend those whose raison d’etre is the annihilation of the one Jewish country on Earth, you have to ask: Why are there no others like them? Were there blacks who defended slavery? Were there Armenians who defended the Turkish mass murder of fellow Armenians during World War I?

It is true that every nation has produced people who work against their nation—particularly during time of war. Vidkun Quisling, the Norwegian leader who collaborated with the Nazi occupiers of Norway, is perhaps the best known: The very name “Quisling” is widely used as a synonym for traitor. But even Quisling identified more with fellow Norwegians than Israel-hating Jews identify with fellow Jews.

It turns out that the Jews who side with those who wish to eradicate the one Jewish state and slaughter as many Jews as possible are truly unique.

It is this uniqueness that makes these Jews difficult to explain. Nevertheless, it is important to at least attempt to do so.

Here are two explanations.

1. Psychological Explanations

As a result of the Holocaust, virtually every Jew—whether or not they had family members who were murdered by the Nazis and their non-German collaborators—suffers from a form of PTSD. Few non-Jews know this, and even fewer can identify with this condition. So, let me explain.

Between 1941 and 1945, one of the most civilized nations in the world—the nation that gave the world the greatest music ever written; the greatest single national source of great scientists; the nation that produced Protestant Christianity, the mother of modern liberal democracies, the primary source (along with the Hebrew Bible) of the American experiment in freedom and of the anti-slavery movement—murdered two out of every three Jews in Europe.

Jewish women, babies, and elderly Jews were slated for death just as much as were young men. Jews were not merely persecuted or enslaved; they were targeted for death in the largest and most systematic genocide in recorded history.

And with very few exceptions, the world’s nations did nothing to help the Jews of Europe. Even those who managed to flee were, in too many cases, denied safe harbor in other countries, a fact that continues to underlie the need for one Jewish state in the world.

Inevitably, this has had a profound impact on the Jewish psyche. Virtually every Jew since 1945 has, consciously or subconsciously, feared another Holocaust. In fact, long before the Holocaust, at the Passover Seder Jews recited (and still do): “In every generation they arise to annihilate us.” Note that the words are not “to persecute us” or “to enslave us” but “to annihilate us.” Jew-hatred has always been unique in that it is an annihilationist hatred.

Given this reality, some Jews have always sought to assimilate wherever and whenever possible. Some changed their names, some baptized their children (as Karl Marx’s Jewish parents did), and some simply chose not to raise their children as Jews.

Today, there are Jews who choose to identify with the Jews’ enemies. More than a few young Jews on college campuses, for example, undoubtedly believe—consciously or not—that they will be more secure if they align themselves with the Jews’ enemies.

To those who seek to annihilate Israel and its Jews, there is no one as valuable as a Jew who sides with them—and many young Jews know, or at least sense, this. By aligning themselves with today’s Nazis—and lest you think that is too strong a term, vis-a-vis the Jews there is no difference between the Nazis and the Iranian regime, Hezbollah, and Hamas—they go from being hated by Israel-haters to being loved by them (for now).

2. Ideological Explanations

Not all Jews side with the would-be exterminators of the Jewish people for psychological reasons. Many Jews who are in the pro-Palestinian, Israel-hating camp are there for ideological reasons: They are leftists (not liberals, who generally remain what they have always been: pro-Israel). And leftism is one of the two primary sources of Israel-hatred and Jew-hatred today. The other is fundamentalist Islam.

This is true around the world. The most anti-Israel leaders outside of the Muslim world are leftists.
The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, described by The New York Times as “Colombia’s first leftist president,” has severed his country’s relations with Israel and not only used the “genocide” libel against Israel but accused Israel of engaging in “the extermination of an entire people.”

(As I have noted for decades, truth is a liberal and conservative value; but it is not, and has never been, a left-wing value.)

The leftist president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, severed his country’s relations with Israel less than three weeks after Oct. 7. Bolivia perfectly illustrates the universal left-wing hatred of Israel: Bolivia’s previous left-wing president, Evo Morales, severed Bolivia’s relations with Israel in 2009; and Morales’ conservative successor, Jeanine Anez, restored relations with Israel in 2020.

Meanwhile, the most pro-Israel leader in the world today is the conservative president of Argentina, Javier Milei.

Most American Jews are liberal, but many are leftist, and they embrace the anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian/pro-Hamas line. (At this time, “pro-Palestinian” means “pro-Hamas” just as, during World War II, “pro-German” meant “pro-Nazi.”)

For many Jews who abandon belief in the Torah, leftism fills the religious hole created by that abandonment. This is equally true for many non-Jews, but there is a major difference: Christians who abandon Christian faith do not still call themselves Christian, nor does anyone else; but Jews who abandon Jewish faith often continue to call themselves Jews (especially when attacking Israel), and so do others.

Psychopathology and left-wing ideology are the two primary explanations for why Jews such as those in groups like “Jewish Voice for Peace” and “IfNotNow” willingly serve as useful idiots for those who wish to exterminate the Jewish state and the Jewish people. Including them.

Dennis Prager Op-ed: If You Insist Men Can Give Birth, We Likely Know What You Think About Hamas

The real “science deniers” aren’t those skeptical of risks posed by climate change, but rather those who insist that men can get pregnant and give birth. (Photo: Andriano_cz/iStock/Getty Images)

If you say, “men give birth,” we all know your position on Hamas.

Now, why is that? Why, if a person says “men give birth” or says that men who say they are women should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, can we be virtually certain that the person sides with Hamas in its war to eradicate Israel?

Theoretically, the two claims—that men as well as women give birth and Israel is the villain in its war against Hamas—have absolutely no connection.

But they do—for two reasons.

Reason No. 1: When people have a distorted moral value system, that distortion applies to just about every issue. Just as a broken compass will almost always point in the wrong direction, a broken moral compass will do the same.

However, to be more precise, people who say, “men give birth” and who side with Hamas, i.e., progressives and leftists—liberals don’t believe men give birth or side with Hamas—do not merely have a broken moral compass. They have a moral compass that works in the way progressives and leftists have configured it: North always points south and east always points west.

Some examples of how the progressive compass works:

  • Women who object to men who say they are women competing in women’s sports—even in weightlifting—are haters and bigots (“transphobes”). The men who compete against them are heroes.
  • Adults who object to schools’ sponsoring drag queen performances for 6-year-olds are haters and bigots (“transphobes”). The teachers who take children to drag queen events are progressive, compassionate, and open-minded.
  • If a 9-year-old girl says she is a boy, the only therapists she is allowed to see are those who engage in “gender affirmation,” which is, of course, a left-wing Orwellian term. The one thing these therapists do not do is affirm the actual gender of the child.
  • All-black dorms on college campuses are anti-racist. Objecting to racially segregated dorms is racist.
  • Those who want to build walls or fences to prevent millions of people from illegally entering the country are xenophobic. Those who oppose building such barriers and declare their cities “sanctuary cities” are humanitarians.
  • Demanding that citizens show a voter ID before being allowed to vote—the norm in virtually every democracy in the world—constitutes “voter suppression.”
  • If we have fewer police officers, we will have safer cities.
  • Marriage is a product of patriarchal misogyny. It wasn’t created to protect and honor women, but to exploit them. Anyway, a woman needs a man as much as a fish needs a bicycle.
  • Scientists who express skepticism about catastrophic man-made global warming are “science deniers.”

These are some of the morally and factually perverse positions of the Left. Just about every individual who holds these positions also holds the morally perverse position that Israel is the villain and Hamas and its Palestinian supporters are the moral party.

The converse is also true: With the exception of Muslims, those who are anti-Israel also tend to believe that men give birth and the other examples of left-wing moral chaos. Few Muslims—certainly no religious ones—believe that men give birth or that children should be taken to drag queen shows. They just want Israel destroyed.

Reason No. 2: People who say that men give birth also say that Israel is the villain because these positions emanate from the same aim; namely, the destruction of Western civilization, beginning with the destruction of the West’s moral and social norms.

When people say that men give birth and that men can compete in women’s sports, they are seeking to undo the bases of Western civilization—truth, science and the belief that we live in an ordered universe. That is why the Left is so adamant about denying that sex (“gender”) is binary. The fact that there are only two sexes represents order—natural and, worse, divine.

Those on the Left unwittingly acknowledge the connection between their anti-Western positions and their Israel-hatred. They routinely attack Israel for being an “outpost of Western civilization.” That is precisely what Israel is, which tells you a great deal about both of Israel’s enemies—the Left and much of the Muslim world.

15 Reasons Liberal US Jews Shouldn’t Be Shocked by Fellow Leftists’ Siding With Hamas

By: Dennis Prager @DennisPrager / November 09, 2023

Left-wing American Jews feel betrayed by the Left.

It’s the Left that remains anti-Israel even after the greatest single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, and even though most Palestinians and their supporters explicitly call for the destruction of the Jewish state: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

Progressive American Jews are shocked by their fellow progressives. But the only thing that is shocking is their shock. Here’s why:

  • The Left has been calling for an economic boycott of Israel for decades and has labeled Israel an “apartheid” state.
  • The Left labels America, the most tolerant, multiethnic society in history, “systemically racist.”
  • The Left called for “defunding the police,” supports attorneys general who abolish bail for violent criminals, and praised demonstrations against America—including many that included vandalism and violence—for more than half a year.
  • The Left supports all-black dorms and all-black graduations on college campuses. The Left has almost destroyed every liberal ideal regarding race. The University of California, among many other left-wing institutions, has labeled “racist” the liberal ideal of being colorblind, and labeled “racist” the beautiful anti-racist sentiment “There is only one race, the human race.”
  • The Left—specifically, schools of education and teachers unions—has ruined elementary schools and high schools. And it has destroyed universities as institutions that allow open dialogue.
  • The Left affirms the lie that men can become women and women can become men, and it
  • works to crush the life and career of anyone who denies that people can become the other sex. The Left supports the demise of women’s sports by fighting to allow any man who says he is a woman to compete in women’s sports. The Left supports putting children who say they are the other sex on hormone-blocking drugs and supports allowing girls under the age of 21 (and sometimes under 18) who say they are boys to have their breasts surgically removed.
  • The Left has been waging the most successful war against free speech in American history. As a result, almost half of America’s young people say they believe in free speech but not for “hate speech,” which, of course, means they do not believe in free speech.
  • The Left asserts that the human fetus at any stage of development is, literally, worthless, certainly worth less than a dog, if the woman carrying it wants an abortion.
  • The Left has essentially destroyed mainstream journalism. Mainstream media no longer hold truth as an ideal. They promoted the lie for nearly two years that Russia colluded with the Trump presidential campaign in 2016. (Many still do.) They continue to promote the lie that having to present an ID when voting is “racist.”
  • The Left has poisoned American medicine. The American Medical Association has announced that birth certificates should no longer list the sex of a child. Medical boards threaten to suspend or even revoke the medical licenses of physicians who question the efficacy of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or prescribe hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin to patients in the early stages of COVID-19.
  • The Left has enthusiastically supported the America-hating and Israel-hating Black Lives Matter organization and the flag-defaming athletes who refused to stand for the national anthem.
  • The Left has promulgated the racist doctrine in most American schools and businesses that all whites are racist.
  • The Left teaches schoolchildren that they should be ashamed of their past and that their future is awful (due to carbon emissions), and that capitalism is bad and socialism good.
  • The Left, in short, hates the West, the most decent civilization ever created, and hates America, the most decent country ever created.
  • The Left, for decades, has declared Zionism racist—meaning that Israel’s existence is inherently immoral—and has charged Israel with “genocide” against the Palestinians.

Yet, now Jews on the Left are simply shocked that the people who hold all these contemptible positions either morally equate Hamas with Israel or actually support those who chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which is in fact a call to genocide. Specifically, genocide of the Jews.

Unlike the liberal Jew, the left-wing Jew—the professor, the columnist, the teacher—is a destructive fool. But the liberal Jew is inexcusably naive about the Left, nearly all of whose positions have nothing in common with liberalism, not to mention with the Torah.

Maybe some will repent. But don’t bet on it.

Dennis Prager Op-ed: The Hamas Slaughter Confirmed Everything I Have Believed

By: Dennis Prager @DennisPrager / October 24, 2023

With one exception, nothing about Oct. 7 surprised me.

The one exception was Israel’s unpreparedness. That also surprised nearly every Israeli. My guess is that a combination of Iranian technology and Israeli complacency and incompetence led to the greatest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust. Nothing else surprised me. Not the butchery; not the sadism; not the Jew-hatred; not the theology that made the slaughter possible; not the support, even glee, in Gaza and among an untold number of Muslims around the world; not the reactions in our universities; and not the support of the Left (not of liberals).

The Middle East Dispute

Since the 1970s, when I was a graduate student at the Middle East Institute of Columbia’s School of International Affairs, I knew what the Middle East conflict was about: Muslim rejection of a Jewish state in the middle of the Muslim world. To the best of my recollection, my professors—most of them fluent in Arabic and all experts on the Middle East—had it wrong. Being secular themselves and usually having a sympathetic view of the Arab world, they believed and taught that the issue was about land.

They were wrong. It was always about Muslim rejection of a Jewish state in their midst and a religious desire to destroy it.

In 2014, I presented a video for PragerU titled “The Middle East Problem.” It explains the Middle East problem in five minutes.

This is how It begins:

“When I did my graduate studies at the Middle East Institute at Columbia University … semester after semester, we studied the Middle East conflict as if it was the most complex conflict in the world when, in fact, it is probably the easiest conflict in the world to explain. It may be the hardest to solve, but it is the easiest to explain.

“In a nutshell, it’s this: One side wants the other side dead.”

Fifty years ago, I knew it. Muslims know it. Israel’s Jews know it. And now, unless you are a leftist, you know it.

I ended the video with another truism:

“Finally, think about these two questions: If, tomorrow, Israel laid down its arms and announced, ‘We will fight no more,’ what would happen? And if the Arab countries around Israel laid down their arms and announced, ‘We will fight no more,’ what would happen?

“In the first case, there would be an immediate destruction of the state of Israel and the mass murder of its Jewish population. In the second case, there would be peace the next day.”

As of Oct. 7, you know that too.

Why Jews Are Hated

There is no hatred like Jew-hatred. It is the longest ongoing hatred in history. It is the most universal. And it is the one exterminationist hatred: Those who hate the Jews want them destroyed. There is a Hebrew statement that is probably 2,000 years old, and which is recited during the Passover Seder service: “In every generation, they arise to annihilate us.”

Note that the sentence does not say “to persecute us” or “to enslave us,” but “to annihilate us.”

The question is why?

I wrote an entire book—“Why the Jews?”—40 years ago explaining antisemitism. But I can sum it up in a few sentences: Jew-hatred is largely a result of the Jews being The Chosen People. You can laugh at the idea if you are secular and inclined to do so. But those who hate the Jews have not laughed at the idea; they have hated the Jews because of it—because they believed it and/or because it is true.

The Jews introduced to humanity the God in which most of the world believes; brought into existence the Bible that is the basis of the New Testament and the Quran; gave the Christian world its Messiah; and gave much of the world its morality through the Torah, the Prophets, and the Ten Commandments.

Those who hate that moral code hate the Jews. The two groups who have tried to exterminate the Jews in the last hundred years, the Nazis and the Islamists (not all Muslims), hate that moral code. And they hate the Jews for embodying it—compared to the Nazis and compared to Islamic regime of Iran, Hezbollah, ISIS, and Hamas, Israel is composed of saints.

So, when I read about the horrors inflicted by Hamas on young Jews, old Jews, and Jewish babies, I was horrified, but not at all surprised. That is what the most evil of any generation do to Jews. And that is why non-Jews who dismiss Iran, Hamas, or Hezbollah as the Jews’ problem are fools. Tens of millions of non-Jews were killed because most people dismissed Hitler and the Nazis as the Jews’ problem.

In fact, aside from increased loathing of Hamas and its Muslim and left-wing supporters, the only effect the events of Oct. 7 had on me was to reinforce my faith in the chosenness of the Jews.

COMMENTARY BY Dennis Prager@DennisPrager

Dennis Prager is a columnist for The Daily Signal, nationally syndicated radio host, and creator of PragerU.

In case you were in doubt—and if you were in doubt, that means you aren’t following what is happening in America to the most important freedom of all—Pew Research has confirmed that Democrats value free speech far less than Republicans do.

Read the following statistics and conclusions and weep for our country:

  • “The share of U.S. adults who say the federal government should restrict false information has risen from 39% in 2018 to 55% in 2023.”
  • “Just over half of Americans (55%) support the U.S. government taking steps to restrict false information online, even if it limits people from freely publishing or accessing information.”
  • “Support for government intervention has steadily risen since the first time we asked this question in 2018. In fact, the balance of opinion has tilted: Five years ago, Americans were more inclined to prioritize freedom of information over restricting false information (58% vs. 39%).”
  • “The partisan gap in support for restricting false information has grown substantially since 2018.”
  • “Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents are much more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to support the U.S. government taking steps to restrict false information online (70% vs. 39%). There was virtually no difference between the parties in 2018, but the share of Democrats who support government intervention has grown from 40% in 2018 to 70% in 2023.”
  • “A large majority of Democrats and Democratic leaners (81%) support technology companies taking such steps, while about half of Republicans (48%) say the same.”

But, no one is asking, “Who is the main arbiter of what is, or is NOT, misinformation? There’s the rub.

Here are 10 conclusions:

No. 1: The most important human freedom is freedom of speech. Free speech is what

makes the pursuit of truth possible. It is what makes the advancement of science possible. It constitutes the very definition of a free society. And free speech is what makes human dignity possible. People who cannot say what they believe are dehumanized. They ultimately become robotic beings exemplified by North Koreans.

No. 2: America has been the freest country in the world for all of its history. That is why the French gave America the Statue of Liberty. It is rapidly relinquishing that title.

No. 3: Free speech is seriously threatened for the first time in American history.

No. 4: The threat to free speech comes entirely from the Left.

No. 5: There is no example in history of the Left attaining power and allowing free speech. From the French Revolution to the Russian Revolution to the Maoist takeover of China to almost any university in America today, wherever the Left comes to power, it suppresses speech.

No. 6: The Left must suppress speech in order to retain power. If it were to allow dissent, it would lose its hold on power.

No. 7: That is why conservative speakers are rarely allowed to speak on college campuses. Left-wing professors, deans, and administrators know—consciously or subconsciously—that an effective conservative speaker can undo years of left-wing indoctrination in just 90 minutes.

No. 8: Given that “Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents are much more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to support the U.S. government taking steps to restrict false information online (70% vs. 39%),” the often-stated claim that “there is little difference between the two parties” is false.

No. 9: All tyrannies label dissent “misinformation.” That is what Vladimir Putin’s government labels all dissent in Russia today.

The communist regime in the Soviet Union named its official newspaper “Pravda”—the Russian word for “truth”—because in a left-wing tyranny, the left-wing regime determines truth. Anything else is “misinformation” or “disinformation.”

That Western societies are moving toward Soviet-like suppression of speech is obvious in America and was made particularly clear in 2020, when the then-prime minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, told her country: “We will continue to be your single source of truth” and “If you do not hear it from the government, it is not true.”

Fittingly, Ardern was awarded with two teaching fellowships at Harvard University—one of them at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, based at Harvard Law School, where she “will study ways to improve content standards and platform accountability for extremist content online.”

No. 10: Liberals are abandoning liberal values—in particular, their storied commitment to free speech. There are far more liberals than leftists, but over the past few years the liberals’ unswerving commitment to the Democratic Party, unswerving commitment to The New York Times, The Washington Post, or virtually any other mainstream news source, and their unswerving opposition to conservatives and the Republican Party has led them to embrace and unswervingly vote for left-wing values.

As for the future, this is what Pew reported regarding young Americans: “The shares of younger adults who say they support tech companies and the government restricting false information online have increased substantially since 2018 (by 14 and 19 percentage points, respectively).”

But there is a better reaction than to weep.

Fight.

Dennis Prager Op-ed: Meet Some of the 34 Professors Who Protested My Speaking at Arizona State University

COMMENTARY BY Dennis Prager@DennisPrager@DennisPrager / July 18, 2023

Read more at https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/07/18/meet-some-34-professors-who-protested-my-speaking-arizona-state-university/

Columnist Dennis Prager attends the premiere of the documentary film “No Safe Spaces,” in which he is featured, at TCL Chinese Theatre on Nov. 11, 2019, in Hollywood. “No Safe Spaces” chronicles the intolerant, anti-free speech mentality of the Left on college campuses, which Prager experienced firsthand at Arizona State University earlier this year. (Photo Michael Tullberg/Getty Images)

In February, I was invited along with Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), and Robert Kiyosaki, author of the bestseller, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” to speak at Arizona State University at a conference titled “Health, Wealth and Happiness.” The invitation came from the T.W. Lewis Center for Personal Development, an independent center affiliated with Barrett College, the honors college of ASU.

About a week before the scheduled event, 34 (Ann Atkinson — see below — counted 39) of Barrett College’s 47 faculty members signed a letter to the dean of ASU condemning the event on grounds that Charlie Kirk and I are “white nationalist provocateurs … purveyors of hate who have publicly attacked women, people of color, the LGBTQ community, [and] institutions of our democracy.”

In June, in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece that went viral, the then-director of the Lewis Center, Ann Atkinson, wrote, “The faculty protests extended beyond the letter. Professors spent precious class time denouncing the program.”

In addition, the “administration’s position … was no secret. All advertising about ‘Health, Wealth, and Happiness’ was scrubbed from campus walls and digital flyers. Behind closed doors, deans pressured me to postpone the event indefinitely. I was warned that if the speakers made any political statements, it wouldn’t be in the Lewis Center’s ‘best interests,’ which I interpreted as a threat.”

The consequences? The faculty’s illiberal tantrum was devastatingly effective on two fronts.

First, the scare tactics worked on undergraduates. Many students told me they were intimidated by professors into not attending. Some would attend only if we promised that cameras wouldn’t face the audience …

Second, the event cost its organizers dearly. Shortly after ‘Health, Wealth, and Happiness,’ Lin Blake, the events operations manager at ASU Gammage Theater, was fired … And as of June 30, ASU will dismantle the Lewis Center and terminate my position as its executive director.

As will be clear, these 34 professors epitomize the low moral and intellectual level of nearly all our universities.

I will not address the specious attacks on Kirk. I will only note that this alleged “hater” devoted his entire half-hour speech to explaining why he, though a Christian, observes the Sabbath each week from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. He spoke about the enriching benefits to his life and to his marriage and family of abstaining from work one day every week, an abstention that includes turning off his cellphone for 24 hours.

Does that strike you as something a hater, let alone a white supremacist, would talk about to students? Furthermore, wouldn’t any student benefit from hearing such a talk, especially from a young person?

Here are some of the accusations of the 34 ASU professors:

“During Black History Month, Barrett is hosting two white nationalist provocateurs who have decried the social prohibition on using the ‘n-word’ and called for the cancellation of Black History Month.”

Their primary “proof” of my being a white nationalist is a statement I once made on my radio show. I told a caller that I believe it is ludicrous that one can never say the N-word — unless, of course, one calls or refers to a black person using that word, in which case, I said, “it is despicable.” You can hear me say it is despicable to call a black person the “N-word” on the broadcast linked to the professors’ letter. The context of my statement about the “N-word” was my saying on the air the word “kike” in quoting the 1993 Pulitzer Prize-winning David McCullough biography of President Harry S. Truman. A caller asked me why people can say “kike” — the “N-word” for Jews — but never the “N-word.”

That is when I made the commonsense point that there are times when enunciating awful words is warranted — as when one wishes to condemn its use or quote literature, to cite two examples.

In fact, The New York Times recently published an op-ed piece by Columbia University linguistics professor John McWhorter on the “N-word,” in which he and The New York Times repeatedly spelled out the word — precisely to show that sometimes it is entirely legitimate to say or write the word. In short, the professor (who is black) and The New York Times (which is as left-wing as the 34 ASU professors) essentially said what I said about the “N-word.”

The 34 provided two other examples of my being a “white nationalist provocateur”:

One is that I said in 2020, “If you see the entire video, [George Floyd] is sort of hysterical from the beginning of his encounter with the police, who were completely decent with him. He says he can’t breathe; he can’t breathe before they touch him.”

The other is that I condemned Black Lives Matter.

On the basis of these three examples — none of which is in any way racist — the ASU professors labeled and libeled me as a “white nationalist provocateur.”

They owe me a public apology. More importantly, they owe ASU and their students an apology. Should they not apologize and retract their libels, if ASU has any commitment to truth, it should censure every one of the 34.

Every other example the 34 cited to smear me was equally specious and intellectually dishonest. Every example they used to condemn me was taken from a left-wing group called Media Matters, whose raison d’etre is to smear conservatives. Media Matters is as far left as Proud Boys is far right. Imagine if a conservative group condemned liberals using only Proud Boy sources. That would be the equivalent of what the 34 professors did.

This is important to understand because the professors based their entire smear of me on one, radical source. They clearly never read any of my work.

The charge of my being a “white nationalist” is as vicious as it libelous. It would be impossible to find a written word in my 10 books or more than a thousand columns (all available on the internet) or an uttered sentence in 40 years of broadcasting that expresses sympathy with “white nationalism.” I am a religious Jew who hates white nationalism, the doctrine that killed 2 out of every 3 of Europe’s 9 million Jews just a few years before I was born.

My father, an Orthodox Jew, joined the U.S. Navy and risked his life to fight that evil. As anyone who has heard or read me can testify, the motto of my life, taken from Viktor Frankl’s classic “Man’s Search for Meaning,” is that “there are only two races: the decent and the indecent.”

Unlike the 34 professors and the rest of the Left, I divide people by morality, not race or class.

So, given the dishonesty of the smears, why did the 34 professors condemn ASU for having me come to speak at ASU? The reason is that left-wing professors, deans and students are terrified of articulate conservatives coming to their campuses. They rightly fear that if students are exposed to one of us for just 90 minutes, we can undo four years of leftist indoctrination. And here’s one proof: It is almost inconceivable any one or — for that matter, 10 — of these professors would invite me to ASU to debate them.

Meet a few of them — exactly as described on their individual pages on the ASU website.

  • Dagmar Van Engen, a ‘non-binary’ individual whose preferred pronoun is ‘they,’ and whose “current project argues that transness is central to queer and feminist science [and is the] author of ‘How to F— a Kraken: Cephalopod Sexualities and Nonbinary Genders in EBook Erotica.’”
  • Lisa Barca, whose “area of expertise includes … Feminism and Gender Studies and (whose) recent research uses an ecofeminist approach to the intersections of speciesism … and other forms of discrimination.”
  • Alex Young, “a scholar of transnational settler colonialism.”
  • David Agruss, who has done “research in gender and sexuality studies, postcolonial studies, queer theory, and animal studies” and who “filed a lawsuit against Montana State University, saying he was denied tenure and fired because he is gay.
  • Joseph O’Neill, who “recently led a seminar on the ‘whitewashing of Ancient Greece and Rome.’
  • Rachel Fedock, whose “research interests include … feminist ethics, Black feminism, abolition, gender, race … .”
  • Rebecca Soares, an editor of “The Female Fantastic: Gendering the Supernatural in the 1890s and 1920s.”

Conservative Radio Host Mark Levin Finally Dumps #NeverTrump to Jump on the Trump Train

waving flagBy Warner Todd Huston September 7, 2016

During his September 6 broadcast, conservative talk radio host and recent Trump detractor Mark Levin announced a change of direction saying he is now going to vote for Donald Trump for president. Not because he loves him some Trump, but because Hillary Clinton has to be stopped.

As he warmed to his tepid endorsement, and it was, indeed, a begrudging one, Levin reminded his audience that Trump is no conservative. For that matter, Levin also said we can’t even rely on Trump to stay on track with what he’s already said.

But saying this is “a binary election, at least for the country,” Levin endorsed Donald Trump. “Either Trump or Clinton will be president of the United States,” Levin said, He then went on to insist “I’m going to vote for Donald Trump” because “Hillary is so awful.”

Levin also noted that his pledge to vote for Trump should not be seen as a sudden blanket approval of everything Trump does or says.

“I take no responsibility for the dumb things he says,” Levin warned his audience, “or the dumb things his surrogates say. Just as I took no responsibility for the dumb things any candidate I vote for says. Whether it’s Congress, Senate Supervisor, State’s Attorney, other presidential candidates, I have no control over these people, I don’t run their campaigns and I don’t advise them.”

Ultimately for Mark Levin, the plain fact of the matter is that Hillary Clinton is simply too dangerous to the country to be allowed anywhere near the White House. Period. End of story.Never-Hillary-Egl-sm

This is quite a change from Levin’s past claims that he would never vote for Trump. However, his logic is pretty inescapable. The choice is Hillary — a woman who stands against everything American and who won’t allow conservatives to have any say at all in the nation’s governance — or Trump — an erratic self promoter who nonetheless will at least be receptive to things conservatives want (even if only a little receptive).

Levin joins fellow talk radio host Dennis Prager who months ago said he would never vote for Trump in a primary but would vote Trump if he became the GOP nominee because Hillary is the single worst, most dangerous candidate the Democrats ever floated for president. And after the anti-American Obama, that is really saying something.

For his part, Prager recently wrote a piece urging #NeverTrump fanatics to dump their opposition for the sake of the country.

Prager was especially dismissive of the #NeverTrumpers’ “conscience” argument, the idea that their refusal to support Trump means they can sleep with a clear conscience because they haven’t compromised their principles in order to vote for The Donald.

“I don’t find it compelling,” Prager wrote, “because it means that your conscience is clear after making it possible for Clinton or any other Democrat to win.”

The goal for every conservative, Prager said, is to defeat the left. That means we sometimes have to vote for flawed candidates, certainly. But we cannot flee the battle field and let the enemy win simply because we don’t have a flawless general. It is pushing the perfect at the expense of the good as far as Prager is concerned.

He also noted that political purity (or moral purity, by some people’s reckoning) is also not a compelling argument not to vote Trump.

In the 2016 presidential race, I am not interested in moral purity. I am interested in defeating the left and its party, the Democratic Party. The notion (expressed by virtually every #NeverTrump advocate) that we can live with another four years of a Democratic president is, forgive me, mind-boggling. To that end, with at least one, and probably multiple, additional leftists on the Supreme Court, a Republican presidential victory in 2020 would mean little. All the left needs is the judicial branch, especially the Supreme Court. Left-wing judges pass so many left-wing laws that they render those who control Congress, and even the White House, almost irrelevant.AMEN

This is eminently logical reasoning.

In fact, it is the #NeverTrumpers who are steeping in illogical reasoning.

never hillary clintonOf course, the anti-Trump folks on the right are most certainly right about how ill-fitting Trump is both for the conservative cause and the White House itself. Just as Mark Levin said, Trump is not a conservative. In fact, he’s barely a Republican at all. He has no history of supporting conservatism and it is clear he has no intellectual understanding (or interest in) the movement.

But let’s look at the #NeverTrumper argument. They insist they are sick and tired of being treated as the redheaded step child by the GOP. They have had it, they say, with being ignored and their voices not listened to. It is time the Republican Party listened to the voice of the people, they sonorously intone.

OK, fine. So, what was their answer during the primaries — and for some even now? They want to run some guy who no one voted for at all and ignore the voices of the millions of regular people who voted for Trump.

How is that any different than what they claim they have suffered at the hands of the GOP?

There is also no logic in the claim of #NeverTrumpers that Trump is so bad that he’ll ruin the country.

To imagine Trump could ever be worse than an extremist like Hillary who has dedicated her life to destroying everything that makes America great is sophistry at its worst.

The truth is, while Trump is no conservative, he is also not a doctrinaire anti-American like Obama and Hillary.

Where Trump differs from Obama and Hillary is that is the latter two candidates have for their entire history prior to running for the White House shown they are stiff-necked, unbendable, anti-Americans. They are extremist, socialist-styled, doctrinaire left-wingers whose entire life previous to the White House proved they would do their level best to tear down the U.S.A.

While it is true all of Trump’s current center right supporters are ignoring his liberal past just as moderates ignored Obama’s in 2008 and 2012, the difference between Obama and Trump is that Trump is no agenda-pushing, America-hating, leftist like Obama is. Trump is just a run-of-the-mill liberal without any doctrinaire communist passion behind his assumptions. Where Obama passionately believes in his socialist doctrine and feels the U.S. needs to be punished because of it, Trump is just a guy who grew up being fed liberal pap and he accepts it at face value without ever having put any time and intellect into examining it all. Trump’s liberalism is just received wisdom spoon fed at birth, not a cause to punish the country at any cost.

It seems clear that Trump won’t work specifically to undermine the Constitution, the law, and the American way of life as Obama has done and as Hillary will continue to do. While a President Trump may end up hurting those great things around the edges here and there, at the very least it won’t be his goal to tear those things down like it has been Obama’s and will be Hillary’s.

Trump is also a capitalist and, unlike Obama, Trump understands that the U.S.A. is great because of private capitalism, not despite it as Obama thinks.

So, with a President Trump we’d get a general liberal who has no left-wing cause to push but who is also a booster of capitalism.

In that respect, if Trump were to become president, it wouldn’t be anywhere near as terrible as it would be if Hillary Clinton were to win the White House.

Finally, I’d like to reiterate that if Hillary wins the White House conservatives and Republicans will have no say whatever in how the country is run. Even if the GOP maintains control of the House and Senate their tepid “leadership” will allow Hillary to get away with most if not nearly all of her destructive agenda.

On the other hand, the fight in the Republican Party is never stirred more than when it has a leader of its own to defeat! If Hillary wins you’ll see the linguini spine of the GOP reign supreme. But if Trump wins, you’ll suddenly find Republicans with the gumption to stand up and fight.

So, if you are worried that Trump will become a dictator, stop being foolish. History shows that it is impossible for someone center right to become a dictator in the U.S.A.

I’ll leave you today with Denis Prager’s list of nine reasons you must vote for Trump:

  • Prevent a left-wing Supreme Court.
  • Increase the defense budget.
  • Repeal, or at least modify, the Dodd-Frank act.
  • Prevent Washington, D.C. from becoming a state and giving the Democrats another two permanent senators.
  • Repeal Obamacare.
  • Curtail illegal immigration, a goal that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with xenophobia or nativism (just look at Western Europe).
  • Reduce job-killing regulations on large and small businesses.
  • Lower the corporate income tax and bring back hundreds of billions of offshore dollars to the United States.
  • Continue fracking, which the left, in its science-rejecting hysteria, opposes.

And I’d say these are the least of the reasons.

Dennis Prager Israel Video
Obama defending muslims TwoAs Ben Shapiro indicated on CNN Monday evening, leftist mainstream media outlets like CNN have been used as propaganda vessels for Hamas terrorists, vilifying Israel in the public relations war, while propping up the terrorist group at war against America’s only true ally and only democracy in the Middle East.

However, this viral video by popular conservative radio host Dennis Prager, may be just what Israel needs to combat the left’s attempt to make a moral equivalency between a bloodthirsty terrorist organization and a nation trying to defend itself against terrorism.

Prager explains in the video, which has over 3.3 million views on YouTube since it was published on April 28 of this year, that while in graduate school at Columbia ConfusedUniversity’s School of International Affairs, where he took many courses on Middle East conflict, he was taught the narrative that it was “the most complex conflict in the world.”

“It may be the hardest to solve, but it is easiest to explain. In a nutshell, it’s this: One side wants the other side dead.”

“Israel want to exist as a Jewish state and to live in peace,” Prager continued. “Israel also recognizes the right of Palestinians to have their own state and to live in peace,” he explained.

“The problem, however, is that most Palestinians and many other Muslims and Arabs do not recognize the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist,” Prager asserted.

Later, Prager provides a historical backdrop, stating that “there was never a state in the geographic area known as Palestine that was not Jewish,” and that, “Israel is the third Jewish state to exist in that area.”

“There was never an Arab state, never a Palestinian state, never a Muslim, or any other state. That’s the issue! Why can’t the one Jewish state the size of El Salvador, be allowed to exist.”

“That’s the Middle East problem,” Prager concluded.

The Bigger The Government…The Smaller The Citizen

http://conservativevideos.com/2014/03/bigger-government-smaller-citizen/#qh2LYSw21kBR2eMh.99

Bigger

In every society throughout human history the following relationship has held true: as government grows, human freedom and happiness shrinks. Best selling author, Dennis Prager puts it this way: “The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.” This has been true in Europe for decades and is becoming ever more so in the United States. But it’s not the kind of nation, the Founding Fathers had in mind. Can we get back to the principles of liberty and individual responsibility? It’s a big challenge. But first we have to recognize the problem.

The President Who Has Done the Most Damage

by Dennis Prager
I have been broadcasting for 31 years and writing for longer than that. I do not recall ever saying on radio or in print that a president is doing lasting damage to our country. I did not like the presidencies of Jimmy Carter (the last Democrat I voted for) or Bill Clinton. Nor did I care for the “compassionate conservatism” of George W. Bush. In modern political parlance “compassionate” is a euphemism for ever-expanding government.
But I have never written or broadcast that our country was being seriously damaged by a president. So it is with great sadness that I write that President Barack Obama has done and continues to do major damage to America. The only question is whether this can ever be undone. This is equally true domestically and internationally.
Domestically, his policies have gravely impacted the American economy. He has overseen the weakest recovery from a recession in modern American history. He has mired the country in unprecedented levels of debt: about $6.5 trillion dollars in five years (this after calling his predecessor “unpatriotic” for adding nearly $5 trillion in eight years). He has fashioned a country in which more Americans now receive government aid — means-tested, let alone non-means tested — than work full-time.
He has no method of paying for this debt other than printing more money — thereby surreptitiously taxing everyone through inflation, including the poor he claims to be helping, and cheapening the dollar to the point that some countries are talking another reserve currency — and saddling the next generations with enormous debts. With his 2,500-page Affordable Care Act, he has made it impossible for hundreds of thousands, soon millions, of Americans to keep their individual or employee-sponsored group health insurance; he has stymied American medical innovation with an utterly destructive tax on medical devices; and he has caused hundreds of thousands of workers to lose full-time jobs because of the health care costs imposed by Obamacare on employers.
His Internal Revenue Service used its unparalleled power to stymie political dissent. No one has been held accountable. His ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi, Libya. No one has been blamed. The only blame the Obama administration has leveled was on a video maker in California who had nothing to do with the assault.
In this president’s White House, the buck stops nowhere. Among presidents in modern American history, he has also been a uniquely divisive force. It began with his forcing Obamacare through Congress — the only major legislation in American history to be passed with no votes from the opposition party. Though he has had a unique opportunity to do so, he has not only not helped heal racial tensions, he has exacerbated them. His intrusions into the Trayvon Martin affair (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”) and into the confrontation between a white police officer and a black Harvard professor (the police “acted stupidly”) were unwarranted, irresponsible, demagogic and, most of all, divisive.
He should have been reassuring black Americans that America is in fact the least racist country in the world — something he should know as well anybody, having been raised only by whites and being the first black elected the leader of a white-majority nation. Instead, he echoed the inflammatory speech of professional race-baiters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. He has also divided the country by economic class, using classic Marxist language against “the rich” and “corporate profits.” Regarding America in the world, he has been, if possible, even more damaging. The United States is at its weakest, has fewer allies, and has less military and diplomatic influence than at any time since before World War I.
One wonders if there is a remaining ally nation that trusts him. And worse, no American enemy fears him. If you are a free movement (the democratic Iranian and Syrian oppositions) or a free country (Israel), you have little or no reason to believe that you have a steadfast ally in the United States.
Even non-democratic allies no longer trust America. Barack Obama has alienated our most important and longest standing Arab allies, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Both the anti-Muslim Brotherhood and the anti-Iran Arab states have lost respect for him.And his complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has left that country with weekly bloodbaths. Virtually nothing Barack Obama has done has left America or the world better since he became president. Nearly everything he has touched has been made worse.
He did, however, promise before the 2008 election that “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” That is the one promise he has kept.
