Video: Pro-life activists physically attacked outside yet another Planned Parenthood

In May, TheBlaze reported on a vicious attack outside a Baltimore Planned Parenthood that resulted in an elderly pro-life advocate being severely beaten.

Over the weekend, yet another physical attack against pro-life activists outside a Planned Parenthood took place — this time in Washington, D.C. It was caught on video.

According to the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, two D.C.-area pro-life activists — Terrisa Bukovinac, founder and executive director of PAAU, and Michael Gribbin — were assaulted Saturday morning outside the D.C. Planned Parenthood. Bukovinac said the incident began when a woman approached her and threw coffee in her face and hair, adding that when Gribbin tried to grab the woman’s coffee cup, the woman’s male partner assaulted him.

Video shows the man throwing Gribbin to the street surface and repeatedly punching him as well as the woman slapping Bukovinac in the face.

The PAAU said that despite video of the assault, D.C. police have refused to press charges.

“Even as a progressive anti-abortion atheist, I understand that the abortion industrial complex is responsible for a mass genocide which will require immense bravery to dismantle,” Bukovinac said. “Pro-lifers must be committed to total non-violence to effectively challenge the institution of legal child killing around the globe.”

The PAAU said Michael New — a Catholic University of America professor who helps coordinate pro-life efforts outside the D.C. Planned Parenthood — issued a statement that said, in part: “It is sad but unsurprising that the D.C. police have refused to press charges on two individuals who assaulted two pro-life sidewalk counselors outside the DC Planned Parenthood. Pro-lifers have First Amendment rights, and no one should have to fear for their safety while sidewalk counseling. … If Terrisa and Michael wish to file civil charges against their assailants, they would have my enthusiastic support.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation, as part of its report, said D.C. police didn’t immediately respond to its request for comment on the matter.

In regard to the Baltimore attack, police have released surveillance images of a man believed to be in his twenties still wanted for brutally punching and kicking the face of the elderly pro-lifer outside that city’s Planned Parenthood.

‘Black People Don’t Have To Vote Democrat’: GOP Challenger In Baltimore Releases Ad Attacking ‘Decades’ Of Dem Rule

Republican Maryland 7th District Congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik released an ad Monday questioning whether “decades” of Democratic Party rule in Baltimore and other major U.S. cities have benefited the black community.

The ad, titled, “Black Lives Don’t Matter To Democrats,” features Klacik walking through some of Baltimore’s most impoverished areas and showing areas that she says Democrats “don’t want you to see.” She also asks several residents how they feel about efforts to defund the police.

“Do you care about black lives?” Klacik asks viewers. “The people that run Baltimore don’t. I can prove it. Walk with me. They don’t want you to see this.”

Massive Deadly Explosion Rocks Baltimore

A massive explosion devastated a Baltimore neighborhood Monday morning, leaving one person dead and numerous others injured or trapped.

“On scene of a major gas explosion at Labyrinth and Reisterstown Rd. involving 3 homes. 2 occupants transported in serious condition, 1 adult woman deceased as BCFD continue to search for more,” the Baltimore City Fire Department wrote on Facebook.

The department shared images showing a neighborhood in northwest Baltimore partially destroyed.

The Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 union also tweeted about the incident.

“(3) patients, all critical have been rescued by Firefighters. Special Rescue Operations units have arrived and are beginning to search and rescue the other patients,” the union wrote.

The Local 734 also said at least one person was still trapped after the explosion.

The Associated Press reported the explosion destroyed three homes and partially damaged a fourth. The report said the Fire Department contacted Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. about the explosion at 9:54 a.m. BGE spokeswoman Linda Foy said the company was working to shut down gas lines in the area.

“We are on the scene and working closely with the fire department to make the situation safe,” Foy said. “Once the gas is off, we can begin to safely assess the situation, including inspections of BGE equipment.”

The Baltimore Sun reported one person was buried from the neck down in debris from the explosion.

Colin Campbell, a reporter with The Sun, spoke to a military veteran and a resident of the neighborhood affected by the blast.

The man, who is 88, said the explosion “sounded like Korea.”

Baltimore Police Posts Shock Video of Gang of Thugs Wielding Guns on Neighborhood Street

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 in Baltimore has released a video showing a large group of thugs brandishing guns and cash in the middle of the street in the O’Donnell Heights neighborhood as they rapped and danced down the streets in the crime ridden neighborhood. They said this is the kind of thing they have to put up with on a daily basis. The FOP says the city can’t even stop “squeegee kids” harassing motorists let alone the thugs that rule some neighborhoods. Baltimore’s crime rate exploded after the city tried unsuccessfully to prosecute the police officers in the Freddie Gray case. The police are afraid to act.

The people in the video appear to be all black with the exception of a lone young white male seen on the far edge of the gang toward the end of the video clip.

Excerpt from the Baltimore Sun report on the recent murder in O’Donnell Heights:

A 32-year-old man was shot to death Sunday afternoon in O’Donnell Heights in Southeast Baltimore, Baltimore Police wrote on Facebook on Sunday night.

Southeast District officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 6100 block of Boston St. at approximately 4:15 p.m. They located a man who was suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital at Bayview where, police wrote, he was pronounced dead a short time later…

BLM Said to Fry Police Like Bacon, Now They Are Begging for Cops to Come Back

The city of Baltimore is reaping the consequences of painting all police officers as villains, and it has no one to blame but itself. In 2017, the city set a new record for the most murders per capita in the city’s history.

The Baltimore Sun reported that there were 343 homicides last year, which is a rate of 55.8 killings per 100,000 people. Baltimore has not seen a number that high since 2015, which happened to be the year Freddie Gray died from injuries he suffered while in police custody.

If you’ll recall, the Freddie Gray and Michael Brown cases galvanized the Black Lives Matter movement across the country. Anti-police protesters gathered in droves and chanted, “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon” at riots, helping to gin up hatred toward police. Baltimore has not been the same since.

Of course they do. But they should be blaming Black Lives Matter for starting the anti-police movement, and liberal politicians for fueling it.

Baltimore pastor and activist Rev. Kinji Scott seems to understand how and why things went wrong. He told NPR that he blamed progressives, other activists, politicians, and liberal journalists for fueling the anti-police movement that lead to Baltimore’s problems. He also said that police distanced themselves from communities, and members of the community distanced themselves even further.

Indeed. Things may have taken a different turn if those in charge hadn’t coddled rioters and activist while simultaneously working against the police.

Police Commissioner Kevin Davis told The Washington Post that he expected violence to decrease after Gray’s death, but instead riots emboldened criminals.

Sadly, it should surprise no one that Baltimore’s murder rate has climbed to an all-time high. Criminals tend to take over when police are not around to stop them. Back Lives Matter and their racial justice agenda is a danger not only to police officers, but also to those who want to live in Baltimore without fearing for their life. As long as BLM touts their anti-police, social justice rhetoric, things may never change.

Fans Turn On NFL Legend After He Kneels For National Anthem

As the voices of football fans and patriotic Americans continue to swell in opposition to protests taking place before NFL games, even athletes who endeared themselves to the fans are feeling the sting. Retired Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Ray Lewis is an example.

Lewis made the Pro Bowl in 13 of his 17 seasons, was named Super Bowl MVP, and had a statue erected in his honor outside the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium.

Then came Sunday, when Lewis dropped to his knees during the singing of the national anthem at Baltimore’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London — and now a petition calling for the removal of his statue has collected over 50,000 signatures.

By Friday, a change.org petition for the removal of the statue had almost 69,000 signatures.

Officials are not taking the fans’ passion as lightly as are the NFL’s players.

“There is additional security at the statue plaza at this time,” said Rachelina Bonacci, a spokesperson for the Maryland Stadium Authority.

“Certainly observers can notice the presence of uniformed security officers at M&T Bank Stadium, which includes the statue plaza,” she said. “The additional officers and other security enhancements have been in place since Sunday afternoon.”

The petition reads, “I want the Ray Lewis statue at Ravens Stadium removed because of his refusal to stand during the national anthem. That song honors our country and our veterans who fought for it. To kneel during it is disrespectful, regardless of what you are protesting. I will not stand for that kind of disrespect towards our country, especially from a legend such as Ray Lewis. You stand for the National Anthem as a salute to those who can’t stand because they fought for this land.”

The petition was accompanied by a soul-searching letter from Eric Moniodis, who started the petition, to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti.

“I sit here heartbroken, searching for answers, and questioning why it has come to this. I am disappointed, to say the least. The team that I have loved since 1996, and the Raven I came to respect more than any other, has defiled my National Anthem, my country, and all of it’s (sic) troops,” he wrote.

Moniodis said Lewis was once a legend, but is so no longer.

“A legend is a hero both on and off the field, and by disgracing this great country by kneeling during the national anthem, on foreign soil no less, he has lost the respect of myself and many of my peers who used to see him in a different light,” he wrote.

Moniodis called refusing to stand for the anthem “blatant disrespect to our country’s solute to our troops, veterans and first responders.”

Lewis spoke about the petition during a local sports radio show.

“It only bothers me if I blatantly did something to gain awareness for myself. What I did — is for our country. That’s why I challenge people,” he said.

Lewis said there was significance in the fact the he knelt on both knees, and not only one. “You can protest, I’m gonna pray,” he said.
