As Ben Shapiro indicated on CNN Monday evening, leftist mainstream media outlets like CNN have been used as propaganda vessels for Hamas terrorists, vilifying Israel in the public relations war, while propping up the terrorist group at war against America’s only true ally and only democracy in the Middle East. However, this viral video by popular conservative radio host Dennis Prager, may be just what Israel needs to combat the left’s attempt to make a moral equivalency between a bloodthirsty terrorist organization and a nation trying to defend itself against terrorism.
Prager explains in the video, which has over 3.3 million views on YouTube since it was published on April 28 of this year, that while in graduate school at Columbia
University’s School of International Affairs, where he took many courses on Middle East conflict, he was taught the narrative that it was “the most complex conflict in the world.”
“It may be the hardest to solve, but it is easiest to explain. In a nutshell, it’s this: One side wants the other side dead.”
“Israel want to exist as a Jewish state and to live in peace,” Prager continued. “Israel also recognizes the right of Palestinians to have their own state and to live in peace,” he explained.
“The problem, however, is that most Palestinians and many other Muslims and Arabs do not recognize the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist,” Prager asserted.
Later, Prager provides a historical backdrop, stating that “there was never a state in the geographic area known as Palestine that was not Jewish,” and that, “Israel is the third Jewish state to exist in that area.”
“There was never an Arab state, never a Palestinian state, never a Muslim, or any other state. That’s the issue! Why can’t the one Jewish state the size of El Salvador, be allowed to exist.”
“That’s the Middle East problem,” Prager concluded.
