US to Start Moving Migrants to Gitmo ‘Hopefully Within 30 Days’: Homan

The United States will “hopefully” start moving migrants to a detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, within 30 days, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing House border czar Tom Homan.

The facility was first announced by President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

“Hopefully within 30 days we’ll start moving people there,” Homan told the newspaper.

Homan said he planned to travel to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay in the coming weeks to oversee the fast-tracked construction of the facility. Although Trump said the facility would hold as many as 30,000 migrants, Homan said they would probably start with a small number, according to The Washington Post.

The U.S. naval base in Guantanamo Bay already houses a migrant facility – separate from the high-security U.S. prison for foreign terrorism suspects – that has been used on occasion for decades, including to hold Haitians and Cubans picked up at sea.

Matthew Whitaker to Newsmax: Border Crisis ‘Powder Keg’

Millions of migrants illegally crossing the border include terrorists on the U.S. watch list, creating a “powder keg” that eventually will explode, former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said Friday. Whitaker, appearing on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America,” said “reports have been pretty clear.”

“Eight million or more undocumented people crossing the southern border illegally — it’s just almost impossible to keep track of all these folks and to know what they’re up to,” he said.

“The reports have been pretty clear. … People just on the terrorist watch list are in the hundreds that have tried to come in this country, and the known got-aways are in the millions … it’s just … a powder keg. It is going to explode. It’s not a matter of when, but where.”

Whitaker noted that protecting the nation “domestically and internationally … it’s more than a full time job,” pointing to a recent terrorist attack in Russia and the FBI’s warning of U.S. vulnerability.

“I’m scared to death like a lot of American citizens, and knowing how these radical Islamist terrorists view the world,” he said.

“We need to make sure we harden all of the targets where people gather,” he added, pointing out: “Our system of freedoms in the United States comes with a great responsibility, and it’s not only just law enforcement, but every citizen, I think, bears a responsibility to have their eyes open and to pay attention to what’s going on around them and their environment.”

Whitaker, a former Trump administration official, also weighed in on cameras in the courtroom, saying they should be allowed for each of former President Donald Trump’s upcoming trials, including a criminal trial that begins Monday.

“I think the more light we have shining on really all part forms of government, including our courts, allows citizens to understand,” Whitaker said. “All of these Donald Trump trials should be televised. I think the people should see how weak the evidence is, how bizarre the legal theories and how novel they are.”

Border-Jumpers Are Pushing American Kids Out of School All Across the Country

Democrats’ open border is turning the entire United States into a refugee camp. The record-breaking numbers of foreigners allowed to break U.S. border laws are most heavily affecting large and sanctuary cities like New York City, but the numbers are so high they can’t help but affect cities across America as well.

Yesterday, a Brooklyn high school informed parents their children will be

getting low-quality remote instruction because their school is being turned into a refugee camp. The 4,000 students are being displaced on behalf of approximately 1,900 foreign lawbreakers. In spring 2023, city officials also occupied school gyms with migrants, prompting safety concerns from parents about unvetted, military-age male foreigners sharing buildings with their kids.

As the “Louder with Crowder” blog notes, “Brooklyn went 74%-25% to Joe Biden, whose policies started the current border crisis. Also, pro-illegal immigration Governor Kathy Hochul won Brooklyn 72% to 28%.”

This is just a stark illustration of a phenomenon affecting the 50 million American K-12 kids still

seriously struggling to recover from three years of lockdown learning damage. Just as they’ve gotten back into schools, American kids everywhere are being placed in classrooms with even more illegal migrant kids who don’t speak the language, don’t share our customs, are in high-risk

circumstances linked with bad classroom behavior, and whose trafficking into America is swelling the fortunes of evil cartels.

A slightly earlier mass influx of foreigners, mostly Somalis, to the Midwestern Twin Cities has helped turn parts of the city and its schools into no-go zones. A majority of staff feel unsafe in high-violence St. Paul schools, and only one in five students in that district are meeting math and reading benchmarks. Foreign-born English language learners are the least proficient in reading, with aggregate scores even lower than those of homeless kids.

Statewide, Minnesota kids’ latest reading and math scores are the lowest on record. Kids don’t learn anything in those schools except violence-justifying racial grievance ideology. At this point, they’re not actually schools; they’re juvenile detention centers. A key factor making them juvenile detention centers is Democrats’ influx of illegally present foreign-born kids.

It’s completely impossible for a teacher to help kids seriously learn when several in a classroom don’t even speak English and arrive with little foundation for learning. Creating this situation is stiffing all the kids already here, who in cities like Minneapolis already enter school struggling. Further stretching already broken public institutions is not charity — it’s avoiding existing responsibilities.

The open border is rapidly replicating these circumstances across the country. The Biden administration is depositing pockets of “refugees” and fraudulent asylum seekers in flyover cities, making the border problem national. An Afghan “refugee” relocated to Billings, Montana was quickly charged with rape, which some Islamists consider a form of jihad. In Europe, “refugee” influxes have accompanied dramatic increases in rape. The Billings migrants also enter a city with already overcrowded schools.

Sioux City, Iowa schools are majority-minority, a dramatic and quick change. The district pays for services that help translate English into more than 150 languages. Most kids in the district are under the federal poverty level, qualifying them for multiple welfare programs and subsidies.

The same is true in Chicago, Boston, Denver, Washington D.C., and smaller cities across the American heartland. Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City, Wichita, and St. Louis all dramatically increased in foreign-born residents from 2010 to 2019 by 10 to 50 percent, and given border data since Biden took office, it’s certain that has seen yet another spike.

All these school districts were lower-performing than the rest of their states even before lockdowns and migrant dropoffs. Those two have made things even worse for everyone in town and everyone across the nation funding this national self-destruction. Admitting illegal border crossers to public schools violates American citizen children’s rights, secured in most state constitutions, to an effective education.

It is not the American government’s job to teach every poor kid in the world English, give them breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and provide their housing and health care. It sounds charitable, but it’s really an abdication of the government’s core duty to secure the rights of its own citizens. It is logistically impossible and existentially destructive for American taxpayers and communities to be forced to accept massive numbers of people whom our social institutions radicalize against this country rather than assimilate.

It’s ridiculous to think Americans should tolerate our libraries, schools, public parks, shopping malls, and every other public area made completely inhospitable by people breaking our laws and stealing our peace. This is our home, and we have a right to evict all trespassers who exploit our goodwill and generosity. Nobody would tolerate squatters in his living room because that violates Americans’ natural rights to affirmatively consent to those who would join our communities, as well as to property and safety.

New York City residents are dying in the streets in droves. Native kids in their schools can hardly read and write by eighth grade. It’s utterly ridiculous to think that city or any other should be doing anything for random foreigners when it cannot keep its own people from dying in their bodily excretions on the curb. The solution to refugee camps is not to make them cover the entire country.

Speaker Johnson, GOP Members Visit Southern Border

By Charlie McCarthy | Wednesday, 03 January 2024 09:09 AM EST

Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and more than 60 House Republicans are visiting the U.S.-Mexico border Wednesday in an attempt to raise awareness of the ongoing migrant crisis under President Joe Biden. Johnson and his fellow conference members will visit Eagle Pass, Texas, and are expected to demand that Biden and the Democrats agree to strict new immigration policies to stop the flow of migrants into the country, The New York Times reported.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statistics show that in November there were 242,418 migrant encounters. That’s the third-highest official number since the crisis began in late January 2021. A CBP source told Newsmax on Monday that in December there were about 302,000 encounters at the southern border, surpassing the monthly record of 269,735 set in September.

The lawmakers’ visit to the border comes as Senate Republicans and Democrats struggle to reach an agreement on an emergency spending bill that would send more than $50 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.

House Republicans and some GOP Senate members have demanded sweeping immigration changes in exchange for their support of the supplemental legislation.

“This situation requires significant policy changes and House Republicans will continue advocating for real solutions that actually secure our border,” Johnson said Tuesday in a post on X.

A spokesperson for the speaker said Biden has been “derelict in his duty to protect” the border.

“While the president requests more funds — not to stop illegal immigration — but to process more illegal immigrants through their ‘catch and release’ policy, he has undermined security at every turn,” spokesperson Raj Shah said, Politico reported.

“From his decision to rescind the Remain in Mexico policy to the widespread abuse of the parole and asylum systems, there is a direct line between this administration’s reckless policies and the record 300,000 illegal immigrants encountered at the Southern border last month.”

The White House, meanwhile, is placing blame for the migrant surge on the GOP. Biden’s team has argued that Republicans have rejected a supplemental funding package that included money to hire new border agents, asylum officers, and immigration judges, as well as technology to combat the flow of fentanyl, Politico reported.

“On Day One, President Biden proposed a comprehensive immigration reform plan and followed up by delivering record border security funding every single year of his term,” White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement.

“House Republicans have obstructed his reform proposal and consistently voted against his unprecedented border security funding year after year, hamstringing our border security in the name of extreme, partisan demands.”

However, a Pew Research Center survey late last year found that only 32% of U.S. adults were confident in the president’s ability to make “wise decisions about immigration policy.”

CRISIS IN NEW YORK: 94-year-old vet struggles to move on after nursing home evicts him, replaced by migrants

Megan Myers By Megan Myers , Teny Sahakian Fox News | Published November 29, 2023 12:12pm EST

This article is part one of Crisis in New York, a series examining the effects public policies have on the city’s already strained housing, law enforcement and drug services.

NEW YORK CITY — Frank Tammaro, a 94-year-old Army veteran, loved the senior center he’d called home for five years until he was told to find somewhere new to live.

“I felt horrible,” Tammaro told Fox News. “It’s no joke getting thrown out of a house.”

Months later, after two moves and an injury that put him in the hospital, the senior was living with his daughter when he learned migrants were moving into his old residence, free of charge.

A lifelong New Yorker, Tammaro says he grew up in the “slums” of the Lower East Side during the ‘30s and ’40s. I do get upset when I see them handing out all this money and all these things, and I’m paying taxes and getting kicked out,” he said. “I’ve never got anything from the city. Or the state.”

Tammaro planned to live out his years at the Island Shores Senior Residence when notices went up in September 2022 informing residents the facility was shutting down and they needed to pack up and leave by March. Many of the 53 seniors living there, including Tammaro, ignored the letters for months until it was brought to their attention that they only had weeks to find somewhere else to live

“It was scary,” Tammaro recalled. “Very scary. Especially when I don’t get around like I used to. I didn’t know where I was going.”

The facility’s owner, a New York City nonprofit called Homes for the Homeless, said in a statement that it intended to sell Island Shores “to focus on its core mission of serving homeless families” and the preferred buyer “would be another senior operator.”

Staff assured the upset seniors that Island Shores would likely be sold and reopened. However, Tammaro’s daughter, Barbara Annunziata, was skeptical of the claim and reached out to the building’s management for answers.

“We knew something was going to go in there,” Annunziata said. “They kept saying, ‘oh, they’re going to sell it. They’re going to sell it.’ That’s what they kept telling me.”

During the Korean War, Tammaro served stateside for two years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps fixing telephone lines and improving communication between military camps. He was one of eight veterans who lived in Island Shores before it shut down.

“I was not in combat,” Tammaro said. “But these boys that went over and went into combat — and now they’re all settled in there with their lives and everything else — and they’re all disrupted, it isn’t fair.”

NEW YORK CITY TO REDUCE POLICE NUMBERS, SLASH BUDGETS DUE TO BILLIONS SPENT ON MIGRANT CRISIS

When he was evicted from Island Shores, the 94-year-old had difficulty finding a new assisted living facility that suited his needs.

“I was pretty slow getting out,” Tammaro said. “I figured they were gonna have my luggage on the curb.”

Shortly after moving to another senior residence, Tammaro had a fall that landed him in the hospital. He told his daughter he didn’t want to return to the new facility.

“He hated it there,” Annunziata said. “And for somebody his age, why should he live the rest of his life someplace he didn’t like?”

NEW YORK DEMOCRATS OVERWHELMINGLY SAY MIGRANTS ‘SERIOUS’ PROBLEM: POLL

In the end, Annunziata moved her father into her home in Midland Beach, New York, where she cares for him around the clock.

“I can’t leave him home alone. … I raised my kids already. They’re all grown up,” she said. “I mean, he’s a piece of cake, but still he’s 94 years old.”

In August, Tammaro found out along with the rest of the community that Homes for the Homeless had made an arrangement with city hall to move migrants into Island Shores.

The facility was one of 200 buildings converted into emergency shelters to house some of the 130,000 migrants that landed in New York City after crossing the southern border since October 2022. The influx of asylum seekers has stretched the city’s budget and many of its services to their limits, with Mayor Eric Adams saying they are in “a desperate environment” during his trip to Mexico in October. And with 10,000 new refugees entering the city each month, he said there is “no end” in sight.

MAYOR’S OFFICE AVOIDS SAYING WHETHER IT BACKS NONCITIZENS VOTING AFTER WARNING MIGRANT CRISIS WILL DESTROY NYC

In September, 15 asylum-seeking families moved into the Island Shores. As the news spread, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the facility, and 10 people were arrested for trying to block a bus with migrants from reaching the building, according to law enforcement.

Tammaro’s daughter, Barbara Annunziata, is still angry that her father was kicked out of his home and said the situation is “not fair to anybody.” (Fox News/Teny Sahakian/Megan Myers)

“I don’t understand it at all. It’s not fair to anybody,” Annunziata said. “These migrants, they’re getting everything. They’re getting everything and I can’t get nothing for [Tammaro]. It angers me.”

She said she’s struggled to get help for her father. His insurance rejected any long-term request for care.

“I can’t even get him an aide. I only could get him an aide for 30 days and then they cancel it,” Annunziata told Fox News. “So what, he has to pay for it then?”

“Meanwhile, [migrants] get everything. And he’s not entitled to anything,” she added

After the “horrible experience,” Tammaro has settled in with his daughter, only a few minutes away from his old home, which is now called the Midland Beach Migrant Center.

“I felt bitter at the beginning,” Tammaro told Fox News. “But I’m satisfied where I am now.”

“I was satisfied where I was until they threw me out,” he added. “But making the best of a bad situation, that’s what we’re doing.”

Annunziata remains angry about how her father was treated.

“They’re worried about the migrants more than they’re worried about the U.S. citizens,” she said.

Homes for the Homeless declined to comment.

Rep. Biggs Estimates 10M Illegal Migrants Under Biden

By Solange Reyner | Friday, 22 September 2023 12:58 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/biggs-migrants-illegal/2023/09/22/id/1135535/

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., estimated that 10 million illegal immigrants will have entered the country during the Biden administration.

“It’s actually gonna have to be necessary,” he said on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show in reference to former President Donald Trump’s vow to invoke the Alien Enemies Act should he win the 2024 presidential election.

“Because by the time Trump gets back in office, you will have had over 10 million, in my opinion, over 10 million illegal aliens cross our border and come into the country, under the Biden regime.”

More than 1,300 migrants cross the border into Arizona daily, according to U.S. government data obtained by NBC News.

In a letter sent recently to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Biggs warned that Border Patrol may be undercounting the number of illegal immigrant “got-aways” at the southern border.

“Under current practice, U.S. Border Patrol agents report daily on the number of people they believe evaded apprehension,” Biggs said in the letter. “While those reports cannot be exact, agents typically provide a best guess based on visuals of escaping aliens, images of aliens captured on camera, or a ‘sign’ that aliens moved through an area.

“However, when agents report groups of aliens that exceed 20, no matter the number above, the group is reported as ’20+’ and counted as 20. For years, sources have claimed this maximum category of 20+ has led to underreporting.

“Now, given the sheer volume of people entering the United States illegally, gotaway groups regularly exceed that number, leading to further underreporting. Gotaway aliens pose a significant threat to the safety of our communities and our national security.”

Texas Gov. Abbott to Biden: ‘See You in Court’

By Nicole Wells | Monday, 24 July 2023 02:12 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/greg-abbott-joe-biden-texas/2023/07/24/id/1128285/

Defying a request from the Department of Justice, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told President Joe Biden on Monday that he will not be ordering the removal of floating barriers from the Rio Grande River.

“To end the risk that migrants will be harmed crossing the border illegally, you must fully enforce the laws of the United States that prohibit illegal immigration between ports of entry,” Abbott wrote in a letter to Biden after the Justice Department requested last week that he remove the barriers. “In the meantime, Texas will fully utilize its constitutional authority to deal with the crisis you have caused.”

“Texas will see you in court, Mr. President,” he added.

On Thursday, the DOJ said it plans to file a lawsuit against Texas for the placement of the floating barriers in the Rio Grande, according to a letter obtained by CNN and sources familiar with the matter who spoke to the outlet. According to the letter sent to Abbott, the Justice Department set a deadline of 2 p.m. ET on Monday for Texas to commit to removing the floating barriers before legal action would be taken.

Addressing Biden, the Republican governor said he had “asserted Texas’ sovereign interest” in protecting the state’s borders with the marine barriers in his “role as the commander-in-chief of our State’s militia under Article IV, § 7 of the Texas Constitution.”

In response, the White House decried Abbott’s actions as “dangerous and unlawful.”

“Gov. Abbott’s dangerous and unlawful actions are undermining that effective plan and making it hard for the men and women of Border Patrol to do their jobs of securing the border,” White House spokesman Abdullah Hasan told CNN. “The governor’s actions are cruel and putting both migrants and border agents in danger.

“If Gov. Abbott truly wanted to drive toward real solutions, he’d be asking his Republican colleagues in Congress, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, why they voted against President Biden’s request for record funding for the Department of Homeland Security and why they’re blocking comprehensive immigration reform and border security measures to finally fix our broken immigration system,” he said.

The DOJ’s threat of legal action is based on a clause in the Rivers and Harbors Act that “prohibits the creation of any obstruction to the navigable capacity of waters of the United States, and further prohibits building any structure in such waters without authorization from the United States Army Corps of Engineers.”

Texas is already facing a lawsuit brought by the owner of a Texas canoe and kayaking company. That suit was filed the same day that Texas began deploying buoys for the floating barrier. It lists the state of Texas and Abbott, as well as the Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety, according to CNN.

Uncertainty, Disarray Cloud Biden Border Policy as New Rules Take Hold

NEWSMAX | Friday, 12 May 2023 03:52 PM EDT

The Biden administration began implementing a sweeping policy shift at the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday as a COVID-era order that had allowed the swift expulsion of many migrants expired and new asylum restrictions took effect amid confusion and uncertainty. Several last-minute court actions added to questions about how President Joe Biden’s reworked border strategy will play out, with advocates filing a legal challenge to the new asylum regulation as it was enacted.

Facing concerns that the end of a 3-year-old order – known as Title 42 – could further strain U.S. border facilities, cities and towns, U.S. officials were keeping a close eye on the movements of migrants that had already reached record numbers in recent days.

“We continue to encounter high levels of non-citizens at the border, but we did not see a substantial increase overnight or an influx at midnight,” when Title 42 expired, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official Blas Nunez-Neto told reporters on Friday.

Seeking to discourage migrants from traveling to the border, the Mexican government said its national migration institute has ordered its offices not to issue immigration documents or other permits enabling travel within the country, creating another obstacle for migrants. Though a chaotic race to U.S. border ports of entry on Thursday appeared to have given way to relative calm on Friday, there was a sense of confusion among some migrants.

At the U.S. border fence dividing El Paso, Texas, from Mexico’s Ciudad Juarez, hundreds of migrants who had slept there overnight formed a single file line to be brought into the U.S. by authorities and put on buses. Texas National Guard, state troopers and border agents patrolled the area. Immigration advocates represented by the American Civil Liberties Union filed a legal challenge against the new asylum bars, claiming they violate U.S. and international laws.

Advocates argue the new regulation, put in place by Biden’s Democratic administration to curb illegal crossings, resembles restrictions imposed by his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, that they had successfully blocked in court. U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas defended the Biden regulation, saying it aims to encourage migrants to enter using legal pathways. “It’s going to be a tough transition,” he told MSNBC.

U.S. asylum officers hurried to figure out the logistics of what would be required to apply the new asylum regulation. Returns of some migrants to Mexico – Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans – were due to begin on Friday under the new border provisions, a homeland security official said.

SCRAMBLE AHEAD OF THE CHANGES

In chaotic scenes on Thursday, migrants scrambled to enter the country before the new rule went into effect. The regulation presumes most migrants are ineligible for asylum if they passed through other countries without first seeking protection elsewhere, or if they failed to use legal pathways for U.S. entry, which Biden has expanded.

Tens of thousands of migrants this week waded through rivers, climbed walls and embankments onto U.S. territory. In San Diego, a Colombian man, who was among asylum seekers taken to a hotel for processing, said he and his wife crossed on foot east of Tijuana and spent four nights outside. He was granted an asylum hearing in 60 days and paroled.

“We didn’t have anywhere else to go,” said the man, who described himself as a former Colombian air force member who had been threatened by armed groups in his homeland.

Around 25,000 migrants were being held in U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities near the border on Friday, down slightly from record highs earlier in the week, according to the National Border Patrol Council, a union for agents. About 10,000 migrants per day were reported crossing illegally this week.

A 17-year-old Honduran boy died after being found unconscious in a Florida shelter on Wednesday, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Unaccompanied children are exempt from the new regulation, and advocates have warned that parents might send their children across the border alone.

COVID EMERGENCY ENDS, ASYLUM BAN BEGINS

Trump first implemented Title 42 in March 2020 as COVID swept the globe, with U.S. health officials saying it was needed to curb the spread of the virus in detention facilities. The order allowed American authorities to quickly expel migrants to Mexico or other countries without a chance to request asylum.

Some Democrats and immigration advocates say Biden’s new regulation is too harsh. The measure also counters previous statements Biden made in 2020 on the campaign trail, when he said he thought it was “wrong” for people not to be able to seek asylum on U.S. soil.

Biden, who campaigned on reversing Trump’s policies and is now running for re-election in 2024, kept the order in place until now.

Migrants have been expelled more than 2.7 million times under Title 42, although the total includes many repeat crossers.

Mexico has generally only accepted certain nationalities – its own citizens, migrants from northern Central America and more recently migrants from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua. So, during the same period, around 2.8 million migrants ineligible for expulsion were allowed into the United States under a process known as Title 8 to pursue their immigration claims in court, which can take months or years.

Republicans fault Biden for easing Trump’s more restrictive policies, while the Biden administration has blamed Republicans for blocking legislation to reform the immigration system.

Trump: Biden Turned US Into Dumping Ground for Illegal Aliens

By Solange Reyner | Thursday, 11 May 2023 03:13 PM EDT

President Joe Biden has “officially abolished what remained of America’s borders and turned the United States into a dumping ground for illegal aliens from all over the world” with the ending of Title 42, former President Donald Trump said Thursday.

“On day one of my new administration, I will end this travesty and restore the sovereign borders of the United States of America. We will immediately resume expedited removals of people that are crossing illegally, our border,” he added in a statement released by his Make America Great Again PAC.

The U.S. has used Title 42 of a public health law to expel migrants with no chance at asylum 2.8 million times since March 2020 on the grounds of preventing the spread of COVID-19. The policy ends Thursday at 11:59 ET and the U.S. is putting into place a set of new policies that will clamp down on illegal crossings while offering migrants a legal path to the United States if they apply online through a government app, have a sponsor, and pass background checks.

Biden said his administration was working to make the change orderly. “But it remains to be seen,” he told reporters. “It’s going to be chaotic for a while.”

Trump, in the statement, said the U.S. has become a “Third-World nation.”

“At this very moment, illegal aliens are lined up by the tens of thousands, ready to break into our country, knowing that even if they are caught, Joe Biden will order them immediately released into American communities and many of these people are very dangerous,” he said.

“Under Biden, our border is gone, our sovereignty is gone. Our national security is gone. And we are quickly becoming that Third-World nation that I’ve been talking about for so long. It’s happening to us if you can believe that. The United States of America is now a Third-World nation.”

Biden Adopts Modified Trump Strategy on Asylum at Mexico Border

Biden Adopts Modified Trump Strategy on Asylum at Mexico Border
(AP)

President Joe Biden’s administration on Thursday will begin denying asylum to migrants who show up at the U.S.-Mexico border without first applying online or seeking protection in a country they passed through, according to a new rule released Wednesday. It’s part of new measures meant to crack down on illegal border crossings while creating new legal pathways, including a plan to open 100 regional migration hubs across the Western Hemisphere, administration officials said.

While stopping short of a total ban, the measure imposes severe limitations on asylum for those crossing illegally who didn’t first seek a legal pathway. The rule was first announced in February, but the finalized version takes effect Thursday. More than 50,000 people commented on it, but in the end it didn’t appear to substantively change. It’s almost certain to face legal challenges. In 2019, then-President Donald Trump pursued similar but stricter measures, but a federal appeals court prevented them from taking effect.

The administration painted the rule as a way to reduce the number of migrants showing up at the border while still allowing people with legitimate claims a chance at asylum. Officials also emphasized the complex dynamics at play when it comes to immigration that at one time consisted largely of adults from Mexico seeking to come to the U.S. They could easily be returned home. Now migrants come from nations across the Western Hemisphere and beyond.

“Economic and political instability around the world is fueling the highest levels of migration since World War II, including in the Western Hemisphere,” the rule said, with known crossings from Mexico reaching an all-time high last year due to an “unprecedented exodus of migrants at different times from countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Peru and Venezuela.”

The rule was immediately met with criticism. Groups that help immigrants called it “ludicrous,” “life-threatening” and “misguided.”

“With its new rule formalizing sweeping restrictions on asylum access, the Biden administration is putting border politics ahead of the safety of refugees,” said Jeremy Konyndyk, the president of Refugees International.

The rule does include room for exceptions for anyone with “an acute medical emergency” or facing “imminent and extreme threat to life or safety, such as an imminent threat of rape, kidnapping, torture or murder.” It does not apply to children traveling alone but will apply to families.

U.S. officials also said they had plans to open regional hubs around the hemisphere, where migrants could apply to go to the U.S., Canada or Spain. Two hubs were previously announced in Guatemala and Colombia. It’s unclear where the other locations would be. The administration officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing border plans that were not yet public.

The measures are all meant to fundamentally alter how migrants go to the U.S. southern border. COVID-19 pandemic-related restrictions that are ending this week had allowed border officials to quickly return people — and they did so 2.8 million times. But even as the restrictions, known as Title 42, were in effect, border crossings rose to all-time highs. Congress has failed to make any major immigration law changes in decades.

U.S. officials are bracing for large numbers of migrants who may try to cross the border this week, possibly to circumvent the new rules. Others were waiting until after Title 42 goes away, thinking their chances might be better. Once the change happens, migrants caught crossing illegally will not be allowed to return for five years, and they can face criminal prosecution if they do. The administration said in the new rule that as many as 11,000 migrants per day could try to cross the border after Title 42 lifts, absent any changes.

Roughly 24,000 law enforcement officers were stationed along the 1,951-mile (3,140-kilometer) border with Mexico. An additional 1,500 active-duty military troops are being sent to back up U.S. Customs and Border Protection but will not interact with migrants. And 2,500 National Guard troops are already there, tasked to help out CBP.

Biden said Tuesday his administration was working to make the change orderly. “But it remains to be seen,” he told reporters. “It’s going to be chaotic for a while.”

The Democrat administration will return migrants from Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua to Mexico if they do not apply online, have a sponsor and pass a background check. It will admit 30,000 per month from those nations to the U.S. with legal papers to work for two years. Mexico will continue to take back the same number who cross illegally.

In the Mexican border city of Reynosa, across from McAllen, Texas, groups on Tuesday handed out flyers that explained in English and Haitian Creole how to register for the CBP One app, which the U.S. has been using to allow migrants to schedule an appointment to try to gain admittance. Authorities plan to increase the number of appointments amid widespread frustration, and they’re prioritizing people who have been waiting longest for appointments.

Standing in Reynosa’s central square, Haitian migrant Phanord Renel said he would not risk deportation to cross. “We don’t want to go back there (Haiti) because the situation is very complicated there,” he said. “If we can’t cross, we have to put up with it here. Maybe the government will do something for us. But cross illegally — no.”

Immigration officials are also planning to deploy as many as 1,000 asylum officers to conduct expedited screenings for asylum seekers to more quickly determine whether someone meets the standard to stay in the U.S.

Most of the people going to the U.S.-Mexico border illegally are fleeing persecution or poverty in their home countries. They ask for asylum and have generally been allowed into the U.S. to wait out their cases. That process can take years under a badly strained immigration court system, and it has prompted increasing numbers to go to the border hoping to get into the U.S.

Even though many ask for asylum, the legal pathway is narrow, and most do not meet the standard.

Authorities have spent months setting up interview rooms and phone lines at facilities along the border to facilitate screenings, part of a broad effort to expand the use of expedited removal proceedings aimed at migrants who forgo legal pathways to come to the U.S.

Republicans convened the House Committee on Oversight and Reform on Tuesday to evaluate the “front lines of the border crisis” but Democrats were less than cooperative in the GOP’s efforts to hear from two chief patrol agents.

“President Biden and his administration have created the worst border crisis in American history,” committee chairman Republican Rep. James Comer said in his opening remarks.

Comer and several other GOP members on the committee pointed to President Joe Biden as the reason millions of migrants, including suspected terrorists, illegally cross the border. Witnesses — CBP Chief Patrol Agent of the Tucson sector John Modlin and Chief Patrol Agent of the Rio Grande Valley sector Gloria Chavez — confirmed this in their testimonies.

“In the Tucson sector, interviewing people post-arrest, what became the most common response [from migrants] was that they believed that when the administration changed that the law changed and policy changed and that there was an open border,” Modlin said.

The chiefs agreed that border security measures like the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols (often referred to as the “Remain in Mexico” policy), which Biden eliminated with the stroke of a pen at the beginning of his term, were “effective” at combatting the staggering number of illegal migrants flooding the border.

And staggering those numbers are.

“We went from what I would describe as unprecedented to a point where I don’t have the correct adjective to describe what’s going on,” Modlin said.

Democrats Opt for Smears over Accountability

House Democrats, who had two years to give Biden’s disastrous border the oversight it required but failed to do so, were less interested in asking the CBP officials questions and far more interested in criticizing Republicans for suggesting that Democrats’ lax border policies are responsible for the worst migrant influx in U.S. history.

Before the hearing, the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security tried to obstruct oversight by Republicans by keeping CBP officials from testifying. Democrats joined in their attempts to taint the GOP’s investigation into the border crisis with smears that Republicans wanted “to amplify white nationalist conspiracy theories instead of a comprehensive solution to protect our borders and strengthen our immigration system.”

The “QAnon caucus” and “anti-immigrant” name-calling continued in the hearing after ranking Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin launched another round of politically motivated attacks in his opening remarks.

The same Democrats who bought into and promoted the border patrol whipping lie claimed that Republicans “demonize migrants” and refuse to fund the border through Democrats’ omnibus wish list. Washington D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton even went so far as to blame the GOP for the El Paso Walmart shooting.

Despite Democrats’ attempts to turn the hearing into a political circus painting the border crisis as a funding problem, instead of a policy problem, the witnesses confirmed that the U.S. southern border is comprised in a way it’s never been in the past.

Cartels ‘Leveraging Chaos’

A large part of the Republicans’ border inquiry centered on the Biden administration’s failure to secure the border against cartels, which Chavez said have become “more active” in trafficking humans and drugs into the U.S. in “recent years.”

“Cartels are leveraging chaos at the border. They are using their human smuggling operations to overwhelm U.S. Border Patrol agents with large migrant groups, often placing migrants in peril,” Comer said. “They create these diversions at the expense of human life to traffic dangerous narcotics like fentanyl, across our southern border. These deadly drugs then make their way into communities across the United States and poison our neighbors and our children.”

“No one crosses the border in Tucson sector without going through the cartels,” Modlin confirmed in his testimony. Chavez testified the same about her district.

“[Migrants are] pretty much confined to whatever those cartels require to be able to see their family member again,” she said.

Democrats tried to claim that the problems at the border are a “humanitarian crisis, not a criminal one.” Yet, none of them mentioned the connection between cartels’ illegal activities and migrants, including the criminals’ lack of care for the men, women, and children who have to bribe them for passage to the U.S.

“What my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are failing to recognize is in order to get here, [migrants] have to deal with a group of people that is not interested in human rights. They place no value on humanity. If they can make money on it, they will exploit it,” Republican Rep. Kelly Armstrong said. “I think one of the mistakes we make quite often is we talk about [cartels] like they’re drug cartels. They’re in the business of making money and whatever the path of least resistance is, is how they make money.”

Cartels’ billion-dollar migrant smuggling business, Modlin and Chavez said, deliberately puts illegal border crossers in danger so Border Patrol agents will leave their posts to conduct rescue missions.

“There are a lot of migrants out there that are out there requiring rescue. So, a lot of times, our agents are out there rescuing people, being task-saturated in rescues, abetting frontline operations, so therefore cartels take advantage of that,” Chavez said.

Rescue operations like those are dangerous and have, in recent years, proved fatal for American agents and migrants alike.

A Fentanyl Pipeline

Both Republicans and Democrats agree that the proliferation of fentanyl in the U.S. is a serious issue that needs addressing. What the representatives did not agree on is that it’s Biden’s policies that embolden the cartels to manufacture and smuggle fentanyl into the states.

Multiple Democrat representatives tried to blame the proliferation of fentanyl on U.S. citizens who are often selected to bring the drugs to the United States. Rep. Katie Porter even had the audacity to argue that because CBP is seizing more fentanyl now than it was before 2020, border security under Biden is a “success.”

“Regardless of who’s bringing it across the border, U.S. citizens, ports of entry, between ports of entry, not ports of entry, the drugs that are killing people in my communities are being made by the cartels,” Armstrong pointed out.

Modlin and Chavez both said their agents are overworked and overwhelmed by the crisis. Unless there’s a national policy shift on the border, the historic crisis is only going to get worse.

“What happens on the border affects the entirety of the country,” Modlin said.

Democrats accuse DeSantis of ‘trafficking’ migrants, demand DOJ prosecution — and a US attorney speaks out

By CHRIS ENLOE | September 16, 2022

Democrats are accusing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) of human trafficking and demanding that the Justice Department take action against him.

The accusations came on the same day that dozens of migrants arrived in Martha’s Vineyard. GOP governors have been sending migrants to “sanctuary” localities in recent months because President Joe Biden has failed to address the border crisis in which millions of migrants have overwhelmed the southern U.S. border.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) wrote the Justice Department demanding that “kidnapping” charges be considered against DeSantis. Without evidence, Newsom claimed migrants were lured onto the plane that eventually went to Martha’s Vineyard, thus accusing DeSantis of operating a “fraudulent scheme.”

Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization. The interstate travel at issue provides a basis for federal jurisdiction over this matter.

Accordingly, I strongly urge the U.S. Department of Justice (US DOJ) to open an investigation into possible criminal or civil violations of federal law based on this alleged fraudulent scheme.

Specifically, Newsom suggested DeSantis is guilty of kidnapping and violating the civil rights of migrants and suggested he violated a law typically reserved for prosecuting organized crime.

Democrat Nikki Fried, who campaigned against DeSantis for governor, also wrote Attorney General Merrick Garland requesting an investigation, claiming that DeSantis is “trafficking” migrants.

I am writing to urge your office launch an immediate investigation into the actions of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the transportation of 50 migrants by plane to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The use of human beings to score political points is first and foremost detestable. Additionally, this maneuver raises serious legal questions and will have untold repercussions on the individuals caught up in the Governor’s political stunt. An investigation is necessary to understand who these immigrants are, how they were transported across state lines, and if their rights were violated.

Shockingly, U.S. attorney for Massachusetts Rachael Rollins said Thursday that she will speak to the Justice Department about “next steps.”

“We are looking into that case, and we’ll be speaking with members of the Department of Justice. Massachusetts isn’t the only place where this has happened,” she said, Politico reported. “We have several other sister communities — whether it’s D.C., New York, California — where we’ve seen things like this, and we’re hoping to get some input from the Department of Justice about what our next steps might be, if any at all.”

Under Biden’s leadership, migrants have been transported to cities all across the U.S. because immigration facilities near the border have been overwhelmed by the number of migrants entering the U.S.

Although left-leaning PolitiFact tried to downplay the truthfulness of this, the outlet clearly explained, “The federal government flies adult detainees in its custody from one facility to another, or from one U.S. city to another during deportation proceedings. The U.S. government in some cases also flies unaccompanied children who are being released from its custody to a family member or sponsor.”

The Washington Post also explained, “Both U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) fly undocumented immigrants to different locations in the United States.”

To be fair, the same type of migrant transportation happened in the Trump administration. The pace of transportation, however, has significantly increased because of the border crisis.

NBC News even reported on the Biden administration’s plan to send migrants to cities across the U.S. as they await their turn in immigration court.

One thus wonders what the difference is between the federal government transporting migrants via bus or airplane and Republican governors doing it. Apparently nothing, because administration officials referred to their plan as the “Abbott plan.”

A spokesman for the governor reiterated that “sanctuary” localities are best suited to care for migrants.

“States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” said DeSantis communications director Taryn Fenske.

Video: Hundreds of migrants cross into Eagle Pass, Texas, as Democrats are still complaining about 50 illegal immigrants in Martha’s Vineyard

While Democrats continue to make hysteric complaints about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) sending 50 or so illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, new footage shows many more migrants crossing into the United States in towns near the southwest border.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin is in Eagle Pass, Texas, where he reports “large groups of several hundred migrants” are crossing illegally into the country at numerous locations Friday morning.

“NEW: Good morning from Eagle Pass, TX, where we have groups of several hundred migrants crossing illegally in multiple locations right now, including part of this group which started walking along a local highway. We have seen large groups in 3 locations so far today. @FoxNews”

— Bill Melugin (@Bill Melugin) 1663335006

Melugin shared nighttime drone footage taken early this morning that used thermal imaging to film a group of more than 100 illegal immigrants crossing the border illegally into Eagle Pass.

“NEW: For the very first time this AM while it was still dark, we used our brand new night time drone w/ thermal imaging as a large group of migrants crossed illegally into Eagle Pass. As you’ll see, the group was 100+ in size. Grateful to @FoxNews for getting us this new tool!”

The video shows migrants crossing the Rio Grande river from the Mexican side to enter the United States. A large group can be seen walking in single-file formation.

“More video from our brand new @FoxNews night flying drone with thermal imaging from early this morning. Within just 2 hours in Eagle Pass, TX this AM, we saw 3 large groups totaling 500+ crossing illegally in three spots.
450,000+ illegal crossings in this sector so far this year”

Immigration authorities are now reporting the highest-ever daily number of migrants entering the U.S. illegally, according to the Washington Free Beacon. Internal communications from the Department of Homeland Security reportedly show Border Patrol officers are documenting about 8,000 migrant encounters per day.

A CBP spokeswoman told the Free Beacon that “the traffic we are seeing this year is similar to the pattern we saw at this time last year.” Last September, CBP reported an average of about 7,700 migrant encounters per day nationwide.

Immigration authorities have reported nearly 2 million total border encounters since the beginning of this fiscal year.

In an interview last weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris insisted that the U.S. border is secure while stating that the U.S. immigration system is broken. Her comments led to backlash from Republicans, who accused the Biden administration of incentivizing illegal immigration with lax border policies and of failing to provide adequate resources for overwhelmed border towns. GOP governors in Arizona, Florida, and Texas have sought to call attention to the chaos in their states by giving illegal immigrants voluntary transport to sanctuary cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. This week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took credit for sending two planes full of illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, a popular getaway destination for rich, white liberals.

The left had an apoplectic reaction to what DeSantis did. Democratic local officials said the presence of 50 illegal immigrants on the island was a “humanitarian crisis” and slammed DeSantis for not warning they were coming. The White House accused GOP officials of using migrants as “political pawns” and said it was “cruel” to give them a free plane ticket to Martha’s Vineyard. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) accused DeSantis of “kidnapping” these migrants by misleading them with “false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization.”

But none of the migrants were taken to Martha’s Vineyard against their will. And the Biden administration has also flown migrants across the U.S. as they await asylum proceedings because immigration facilities at the southwest border have been overwhelmed by the volume of people entering the country illegally.

The real humanitarian crisis remains at the southwest border, where local morgues are reportedly running out of space as they struggle to keep up with the number of people who drown crossing the Rio Grande river. As the Fox News video shows, the migrant crossings are not stopping, which means more buses and planes are sure to carry illegal immigrants to sanctuary city jurisdictions.

11 Of the Biden Administration’s Greatest Failures So Far

It’s no exaggeration: Joe Biden is bringing the country down in a tailspin. From historic failures internationally to crises at home and dropping approval ratings, Biden’s administration makes every single thing it touches worse.

Taken alone, each of these failures is pretty damning, but as a whole — or at least even just this small sampling — they reveal the degree to which our 46th president is a danger to America’s well-being.

1. Facilitating a Deadly Border

On June 20, an abandoned semi-truck was found to contain more than 40 dead migrants, with the death toll later rising to 51. The deceased have been confirmed to be Mexican, Guatemalan, and Honduran citizens entering the United States illegally, although 20 others’ national origins remain undetermined.

On a recent trip to Mexico, Federalist staff saw firsthand the devastating effects of Biden’s refusal to enforce U.S. border and immigration laws. As a result, our southern border is controlled by cartels, which smuggle and exploit men, women, and children — a process that can be deadly.

2. Shipping Illegals to a Community Near You

In addition to ignoring the border crisis, the president is secretly shipping illegal migrants across state borders and into suburban cities and family neighborhoods. In February, he planned to dump 1,000 Afghan refugees right next to Loudoun High School without contacting local law enforcement about the plan.

According to The Daily Wire, the Department of Homeland Security said the Federal Protection Service would provide security for students located next to unvetted foreign citizens, but since FPS has no jurisdiction in Loudoun County, this pledge was meaningless.

3. Holding Kids Hostage to Trans Radicalism

In May, the Biden administration attempted to strongarm public schools into letting males who identify as transgender use girls’ bathrooms by threatening to pull federal funding for school lunches if they didn’t. That’s 30 million lunch-program students Biden took hostage to push his party’s trans radicalism.

4. Tapping into Emergency Petroleum Reserves

Laying all blame on Putin for gas prices that are double what they were before Biden took office, Biden has commissioned the selling of 1 million barrels of oil per day for six months from our national emergency reserve. Instead of saving our stockpile for an emergency and resurrecting the Keystone pipeline and other major American energy projects Biden killed, the administration is using up the largest release from the stockpile in our history — and suggesting you buy an electric car.

5. Botching the Afghanistan Withdrawal

Pulling out of Afghanistan was always the plan — but not the disastrous way Biden did it. By leaving before Afghan forces were prepared, abandoning the Bagram Air Base before evacuating American citizens and Afghan allies, and leaving American citizens, weapons, and equipment for the Taliban to commandeer, Biden committed a tremendous strategic and humanitarian error.

6. Supporting Child Castration and Sterilization

The White House is openly championing “gender-affirming” surgeries and brainwashing attempts targeted at young children, and Biden is not simply a moderate bystander. He has threatened “immediate action” against state governors and attorneys general who decry castration of a kid as child abuse.

7. Driving up Inflation

As Americans are reminded every time they buy groceries or fill their gas tanks, Biden’s policies have caused, or at least exacerbated, record inflation and unsustainably high consumer prices. By throwing money at problems the government largely created through the so-called American Rescue Plan, relinquishing U.S. energy independence, and printing more money, among other fiscally irresponsible policies, the president has helped make just about everything Americans need more expensive.

8. Letting Babies Go Hungry

Due to government-mandated shutdowns that slowed deliveries, burdensome regulations, and then Biden’s Food and Drug Administration’s shutdown of the largest baby formula-making plants in the country, Americans found themselves unable to find needed formula, leaving infants in hospitals and families desperate. Their desperation turned to frustration with the Biden administration when they realized the president was using their tax dollars to buy and ship formula to illegal immigrants at the border.

9. Forcing the Covid Jab

Despite his so-called “pro-choice” posture, Biden sought to force Americans to put vaccines into their bodies by issuing a rule that all workers in any business of more than 100 employees must get vaccinated or else be constantly tested. His vaccine-or-test mandate for workers was overruled by the Supreme Court and later withdrawn by his administration.

10. Scheming to Enact Abortion Radicalism

Biden has expressed support for an abortion-specific carveout for the filibuster, advocating for an exemption strictly to empower Congress to codify Roe v. Wade without having enough votes. This radicalism is despite his previous passion for the filibuster and Democrats’ constant use of it during President Donald Trump’s tenure.

11. Tanking His Own Approval

Biden has utterly failed to keep the country’s approval, with his ratings down to record lows. The latest CNBC poll out this week shows Biden’s approval rating at an abysmal 36 percent. That’s even worse than Trump’s lowest ratings ever, despite the former president weathering instability over Covid-19 and cultural upheaval after the death of George Floyd.

‘Really Unfortunate’: Humanitarian Group On Border Prepares For Migrant Wave

REPORTED BY JENNIE TAER | INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER | May 05, 2022

A nongovernmental organization in a small Texas town is working to keep up with large numbers of migrants in need of their support ahead of Title 42’s end and is hoping they can sustain their efforts. The Val Verde Border Humanitarian Coalition has had to exponentially increase its aid supplies and hopes it can continue to sustain what is already a large number of migrants seeking support after the pandemic health policy ends, the group’s director, Tiffany Burrow, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Title 42, the Trump-era policy used for expedited expulsions of certain migrants during COVID-19, is set to end May 23, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is preparing to accommodate 18,000 migrants each day when the order is lifted.

The organization, based out of Del Rio, Texas, is already seeing numbers similar to when it was helping handle the thousands of Haitian migrants who arrived last September, Burrow told the DCNF.

“So, for March, 5,028 [migrants] with 33 countries represented. Before I left, we were at 3,500, which is a pretty significant number for us. When we had the 16,000 underneath the bridge, that month was at 3,549. So, March was huge, and April was a significant month as well,” Burrow said.

Rather than having to obtain “cases “of water and supplies for the migrants, the group is now having to ensure they have “pallets” of supplies to handle the large number of migrants, Burrow said.

The faith-based organization helps facilitate travel for migrants released from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) custody, but doesn’t pay for their transport.

The number is not as high as the average numbers of migrants encountered in March and April, but it’s still enough to “knock … most field operations for several stations” out of commission, Anfinsen said.

“We are just handling it one day at a time, so some days we are able to be in the field, and other days we aren’t,” he added.

Burrow emphasized the element of danger migrants face during their journeys as a result of the cartels in Mexico and the trauma they carry once they get to her.

“There are more really unfortunate cases that are coming through. As long as cartels are involved, I think we are going to continue to see more situations like what we’re seeing right now,” she said.

Great news! For the millions of U.S. immigrants who really wanted to immigrate to Haiti, but couldn’t get in … Guess what? The country you’re living in is about to become Haiti. This will also come as good news to the GOP’s top-dollar donors, whose sole political thought is: HOW DO WE WIN THE BLACK VOTE? (Next goal: Reverse the rotation of the Earth.)

Apparently, it’s absolutely humiliating for people who live in 100% white neighborhoods to belong to a party that appeals to white people. Consequently, for several decades now, the GOP has slobbered over Colin Powell, Alan Keyes, Condoleezza Rice, Allen West, Michael Steele, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, John James, Tim Scott, Candace Owens, Herschel Walker and so on.

I, too, slobbered over some of these fine black Republicans. But unlike the Masters of the Universe, I noticed, after the first half-dozen or so, that the GOP is never going to win more of the black vote. (The GOP’s donor class is dying of embarrassment right now, horrified that their party appeals to white people, aka “the only swing voters in the country.”)

For the last half-century, African Americans have given approximately 90% of their vote to the Democrats. (Hispanics: 70%; Asians: 70%) But the Hamptons-Manhattan-Palm Beach Brain Trust is focused like a laser beam on increasing the GOP’s minority vote. Somehow they’ve made billions of dollars, but cannot grasp, if their lives depended on it, that every election outcome is determined by the white vote.

QUIZ: What is the one demographic Trump lost in 2020 compared to 2016? Answer: White men.

[For more on Republican donors’ neurotic obsession with the black vote, see “Adios, America!,” Chapter 16, I Wrote This Chapter After Noticing How Stupid Rich People Are.]

With hordes of Haitians pouring across our border — because a certain lying conman didn’t build a wall — this weird compulsion of the donors will only get worse. Before Republican geniuses start proposing “enterprise zones” for Haitians, maybe they should take a look at Haiti.

Haitian President Francois “Papa Doc” Duvalier (1957-1971) began his regime by killing off or exiling the educated elite for being too light-skinned, then expropriated the peasants’ small parcels of farmland, leading, like night into day, to mass starvation. Result: Haitian peasants adored him! Even after a regime of mass murder and widespread starvation, followed by Duvalier maneuvering his teenaged son into the presidency, the Associated Press reported in 1980 that “the Duvalier family’s support comes from the dark-skinned peasants of the countryside.”

Downside: insane execution squads, malnutrition, illiteracy and chaos. Upside: Duvalier persecuted light-skinned Haitians and embraced voodoo.

GOP donors: What if we offer them school vouchers?

George Mason economics professor Garett Jones has a vitally important article posted on the Evonomics website right now titled, “Do Immigrants Import Their Economic Destiny?”

He asks whether immigrants bring cultural attitudes, religious beliefs, a work ethic, etc. that will kill “the golden goose of first-world prosperity.” Phrased otherwise, do immigrants make “the countries they move to a lot like the countries they came from?”

Ann’s answer: Duh.

Jones’ answer: Duh — with a lot more data and analysis.

He cites a study by economists Diego Comin, William Easterly and Erick Gong of Dartmouth, New York University and Middlebury College, respectively, published in the American Economic Journal, showing that the descendants of people who were the most technologically advanced in 1500 A.D. today live in countries vastly richer than countries populated by the descendants of those not as technologically advanced in 1500 A.D.

The New York Times described the results of the study thus: “As it turns out, technology in A.D. 1500 is an extraordinarily reliable predictor of wealth today.”

Forget 1500. How’s Haiti been doing for the last 50 years? A report by the Council on Foreign Relations describes Haiti as “the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.” And that’s despite more than $13 billion in international aid in the past decade.

Let’s just hope they bring their Satan-worshipping voodoo! As Haitians worldwide descend on our country, it’s worth mentioning that their homeland is often described as “90% Catholic and 100% voodoo.”

While The New York Times (which hates our country and wants it destroyed) burbles giddily about Haitian voodoo — “a healing-based religion,” “an affirmation of national pride,” “a vibrant but gentler faith,” “equal parts happening and psychoanalysis” — other news outlets have produced vivid accounts of the actual ceremonies.

Quote:

“(A) group of men and women dressed in white circled a pole. … A few hours later, the drumbeat had intensified … A few of the women grabbed live chickens and whirled them in the air before ripping the heads off with their teeth. Then, with their hands clenched like claws and their chins dripping with blood, the women jumped up and down, screeching, ‘Ke-ke-ke, Ke-ke-ke.'” — Times-Picayune (New Orleans), 1994

Quote:

“Suddenly, the woman’s body jerks upright. She spins wildly, arms and legs flailing, and her eyes roll back in her head until only the whites show. Two men rush to her side and support her in their arms. A yellow kerchief slips off her head and her shiny, straightened hair tumbles down.

“Body rigid, muscles taut, she stomps the ground with her bare feet. She whips her head from side to side, eyes stretched wide, sweeping the room with a fierce gaze …” — The Ottawa Citizen, 2000

You can read more about these “vibrant” rituals in the book “Hostage to the Devil: The Possession and Exorcism of Five Contemporary Americans.” Or just wait for them to show up in your neighborhood.

If you thought moving 100,000 Somalians into Minnesota posed challenges to assimilation, that will be a pleasant dream compared to the multitudes of Haitians Biden is letting into the country right now.

DHS secretary says 1 in 5 migrants have an ‘illness’ while releasing thousands into the US

In an admission that may boost claims that the Biden administration’s border crisis is partly driving a COVID-19 surge in the U.S., Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged on Monday that approximately one out of every five migrants entering the country illegally have an “illness.”

The DHS chief did not specify whether the illness he was referring to was COVID-19 during his speech at the virtual Immigration Law and Policy Conference. But he noted in his remarks that the rise of the COVID-19 Delta variant caught him off guard and that amid a pandemic, the U.S. immigration system is not capable of handling a rapid influx of migrants.

“We are confronted with a population of people that, as a general matter, have a rate of illness of approximately 20%,” Mayorkas said, according to the Daily Mail. “When one is speaking of 7,000 or 7,500 people encountered at the border every day, if one takes a look at that system, it is not built for that in a Covid environment where isolation is required.”

“What I didn’t expect was the tragic rise of the Delta variant,” the secretary noted, adding, “We took a step back by reason of that. I did not expect to be in late September where we are.”

Moreover, that figure does not include the nearly 15,000 predominantly Haitian migrants who have been processed in recent days after camping out in squalid conditions under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas.

Mayorkas told reporters at the White House on Friday that U.S. immigration authorities did not test those migrants for COVID-19.

“We did not test that population of individuals,” he said. “We do not know, I do not know, I should say if I may be perfectly accurate, I do not know if anyone was sick with COVID. We certainly had some people get sick, not with COVID to my knowledge, and we addressed their illnesses.”

Nevertheless, at least 12,000 of those migrants have reportedly been released into the U.S. in spite of the Biden administration’s promises to repatriate them. Since the start of the border surge earlier this year, the administration has released tens of thousands of migrants directly into the country, many without being tested for the virus.

The Daily Mail cited the administration’s inability to test migrants to note it is unclear how exactly the secretary arrived at the 20% figure. At the time of publication, neither video nor a transcript of Mayorkas comments was available. A representative for the Immigration Law and Policy Conference said a video would be posted by Tuesday evening.

Black Poverty Hits Record Low Under President Trump

President Donald Trump can claim credit for pushing poverty among black American adults to record lows, according to data in the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2018 economic report.

The good news is hidden deep in the 77-page report, Income and Poverty in the United States: 2018, which was released Tuesday, September 10. Table B5 on page 65 shows that poverty among married black families dropped to 18.8 percent, down from 20.2 percent in 2015 and 23.8 percent in 2007, which was the peak of the housing boom and bubble inflated by Congress and President George W. Bush’s terms.

  • Poverty among black female-headed families also dropped to 31.7 percent, down from 35.7 percent in 2015 and 39.7 percent in 2007.
  • Poverty among all black Americans dropped to 20.8 percent, down from 24.1 percent in 2015 and 24.5 percent in 2007

For comparison, black poverty is still somewhat higher than the poverty rate for all Americans, which is at 11.8 percent, and at 9.7 percent for all intact families and 26.8 percent for female-headed households.

The report does not suggest why the poverty rate is falling. But other data — including comments from industry CEOs — show that wages are gently rising as employers reluctantly begin to compete for employees in a low-immigration, tight labor economy.

Trump’s unprecedented combination of “Hire American” and economic growth policies is helping create those wage gains nationwide. The growth policies pressure companies to hire more workers.

The “Hire American” policy suppresses the inflow of legal and illegal migrants and also blocks demands from businesses for special infusions of cheap foreign labor, such as extra refugees, asylum-seekers, visa workers, and legal immigrants. Trump’s low-immigration policies have prompted many progressives and Democrats to claim he is racist. But his growth and “Hire American” combination is pressuring companies to compete for Americans workers — including blacks and Latinos — by offering higher wages and better benefits.

One expected impact of the shortage is a growing number of non-white Americans who are being hired and are getting wage increases. The Washington Post reported September 9:

Economists say the minority hiring boom is explained mainly by a tight labor market that is forcing employers to look beyond their normal pool of candidates …
“Now there are more job opportunities, I think. I look for jobs that want English and Spanish speakers,” said [Milagros] Tasayco, who spends her mornings at the community center and her afternoons at a private day care. “My children say, ‘Wow, Mommy, you have two jobs!’ My husband is proud, too.”

The Census Bureau said men who work full time and year-round got an average earnings boost of 3.4 percent in 2018, pushing their median salaries up to $55,291, a 3.4 percent gain after adjusting for inflation. Women gained 3.3 percent in wages, to bring their median salaries to $45,097 for full time, year-round work.

Trump’s wage gains may mark a historic shift in the nation’s economy.

This growth is already visible as a rising line at the end of a Census Bureau chart, which shows the flat-lined wages between 1973 and 2018. The flat wages followed 25 years of rapid wage growth in a low-immigration economy between 1959 and 1973,

Immigration Numbers:

Each year, roughly four million young Americans join the workforce after graduating from high school or university. This total includes about 800,000 Americans who graduate with skilled degrees in business or health care, engineering or science, software, or statistics.

But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants and refreshes a resident population of about 1.5 million white-collar visa workers — including approximately one million H-1B workers and spouses — and about 500,000 blue-collar visa workers.

The government also prints out more than one million work permits for foreigners, it tolerates about eight million illegal workers, and it does not punish companies for employing the hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who sneak across the border or overstay their legal visas each year.

This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth for investors because it transfers wages to investors and ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.

This policy of flooding the market with cheap, foreign, white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor also shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors, even as it also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, reduces marriage rates, and hurts children’s schools and college educations.

The cheap-labor economic strategy also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions.

The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the Heartland to the coastal cities, explodes rents and housing costs, undermines suburbia, shrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces.

BREAKING: Migrant Mob Marching Through Mexico Gets BAD NEWS From Trump

Reported By | Wes Walker |

Anyone hoping the judicial ruling had green-lit a flood of asylum-seekers… can guess again. Whatever that judge may have ruled about amnesty only being available to lawful border crossers, Trump’s not finished yet.

Border security is still a huge priority for the President and he’s still got a few aces up his sleeve. It looks like he’s going to need it since the ‘caravan’ doesn’t look like it wants to work and play well with others.

The would-be border jumpers are already wearing out their welcome in Tijuana. And what are they planning to do next? They are reportedly planning a ‘human stampede’ to force their way into America.

Gee, that sounds like something good, well-adjusted, law-abiding citizens might do, doesn’t it?

We already know that criminal organizations there use events like this one where our defensive resources are otherwise occupied as cover for their own objectives.

And their objectives are a serious — lethal — problem, as various recent fentanyl busts will remind us.

As one example:

Fentanyl is one of the most lethal threats facing Maryland right now. As little as two milligrams of fentanyl can be a lethal dose, and the 20 kilograms of fentanyl seized in this case to date is enough to kill 10 million people — more than one and a half times the population of Maryland,” Maryland U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur said in the release. “We are working with our partners to attack the sources of supply, as well as the street dealers who are committing the most violence in our neighborhoods.”

Fentanyl, which is about 50 times more powerful than heroin, is sometimes mixed with heroin by dealers to give users a more potent high.

The synthetic opioid is blamed for the epidemic of overdose deaths nationwide. Of Maryland’s 1,185 opioid overdoses in the first half of 2018, more than three-quarters involved fentanyl.

So, what can Trump do in the face of an angry mob demanding to be let in, and judges who seem hellbent on letting them?

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday that the migrant caravans headed toward the U.S. won’t be allowed to enter, a prediction he made after talking to Mexico’s foreign secretary.

“I have been in close contact with Mexican Foreign Secretary Videgaray and it has been one week since Secretary Nielsen and I had a constructive meeting with Mexican Foreign Secretary-designate Marcelo Ebrard to discuss the migrant caravans,” Pompeo said in a statement issued on Thanksgiving.

“We have affirmed our shared commitment to addressing the current challenge,” he said. “The caravans will not be permitted to enter the United States. There are real dangers to the safety and human rights of migrants from those who would prey on them.”
Source: Washington Examiner

How can that be enforced? There are two ways.

One is closing the entire border (using Article II enumerated Presidential prerogatives), the other is simply defending the border (using force, if required).

President Donald Trump said Thursday he has authorized American troops on the US-Mexico border to “use lethal force” if necessary against an approaching group of migrants while also threatening to close “the whole border.”

Trump, who was speaking with military members and reporters at Mar-a-Lago, also said there “certainly could” be a government shutdown over border wall funding in December.

“If they have to, they’re going to use lethal force. I’ve given the OK,” Trump said. “If they have to — I hope they don’t have to.”

“I have no choice,” Trump said, and, without providing evidence, added, “You’re dealing with a minimum of 500 serious criminals” and “rough people.”

Of course, building an effective border wall would have been far simpler than moving to these more extreme measures. But too many elected officials have been uninterested in doing so.

UN can play role in stopping U.S.-bound caravan

Reported by Chad Groening, Billy Davis (OneNewsNow.com) | Monday, October 22, 2018

Honduran caravanThe caravan of migrants currently traveling through Mexico on its way to the United States is a job for the United Nations, says the spokesman for a pro-border enforcement organization.

Mexico’s government has reportedly called on the United Nations to help with the 7,000-plus wave of Hondurans, whose numbers have nearly tripled as the group broke through border gates to enter Mexico over the weekend.

The group began with about 2,000 in the town of San Pedro Sula, Yahoo News reported.

Mehlman

Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, or FAIR, says the UN High Commissioner for Refugees is well-suited to deal with the Hondurans who left their country determined to enter the U.S.

“If the people are legitimately fleeing persecution,” he tells OneNewsNow, “then the UNHCR can hear their cases and make some kind of determination before they reach some third country.”

"USA Border" signPresident Donald Trump has vowed to stop the migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, threatening to cut off aid to the Central American countries that have failed to stop the illegal migration.

Late last week, Trump threatened to scrap the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal if Mexico failed to stop the caravan and, soon afterward, Mexico’s foreign affairs secretary made a personal request to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, The Washington Times reported.

It appears, the news story stated, that Mexico is seeking UN help to evaluate migrants “worthy of protection” from those who are “traditional illegal immigrants.”

Mehlman says the United Nations, for once, can play a “constructive role” in this border-crossing crisis.

GERMANY’S SCREWED: Look At What Angela Merkel NOW ‘Regrets’ – Send This To HILLARY Voters

Do you really MEAN that, Angela? Or are you just afraid that you might be unemployable if you are voted out of office?

The German premier admitted she could have been better prepared for the influx of migrants last year. She added if she knew how people wanted her to change her migrant policy she would consider it. And she admitted Germany had not been “world champions” in integrating migrants in the past, saying it would take time to integrate them.

“I myself have also relied on the Dublin agreement for a long time, that, simply speaking, removed the problem from Germany.

“That was not good. And if I could I would turn back time for many, many years to be able to better prepare myself with the entire government and all those responsible for this situation that hit us when we were rather unprepared in the late summer of 2015.

“Since then we have tried with all our might to shape, organise and regulate and much has already been achieved with this, very much.

“Still, I am aware that many areas are still lacking.”…More Evidence

…Commenting on a recent poll showing 82 percent of voters wanted a change in her migrant policy, she added: “If I knew what change in policy people wanted, I would be ready to consider it and to talk about it.”

“But the poll does not give any advice on that,” she added.

A backlash against her migrant policy has raised questions about whether Merkel, Europe’s most powerful leader, will stand for a fourth term next year. Given a dearth of options in her party, however, she is still the most likely candidate.

What we DON’T read in those comments is that she would have REFUSED ENTRY to the million or so immigrants, we DON’T READ that they would have made temporary camps in the part of the world they came from where language, climate, and culture do not prove significant obstacles, we DON’T READ that any steps would be made to dissuade fake claimants from streaming into the continent.

Her only regret is that Germany didn’t absorb them well.

Which clearly means, she still doesn’t ‘Get’ it.different or same

What Christians are now being FORCED to do for Muslims makes my blood boil

Italian-Catholic-Praying-640x480

I often say, “when tolerance becomes a one way street, it leads to cultural suicide,” and it appears we have a very appalling example to share. It just never ceases to amaze me how we are so bent on political correctness when it comes to acquiescing our Judeo-Christian faith heritage before Islam. We have these “coexist” bumper stickers that should read “submit”…or even better, “Dhimmi.”

As reported by Breitbart.com, “Parishioners visiting a church in Italy were told they must “pray in silence” so as not to disturb African migrants being housed there. Some of the faithful hoping to practice their Christianity at the church of St. Anthony in Ventimiglia were surprised when they were told by Caritas volunteers they couldn’t recite the rosary and would instead have to pray in silence out of respect to migrants who are living there. Do you want

Caritas is ostensibly a Catholic charity, although much of its resources are spent on facilitating mass migration to Europe; the organization even boasts that it contributes to and seeks to influence European Union (EU) “asylum” policies. Caritas reports that they have been distributing 600 meals a day to migrants in Ventimiglia.

After one of the female parishioners requested that the migrants be taken to another church so that she could recite the rosary, the parish priest, Don Rito, appeared and accompanied her and the other visitors to another church.

The Northern Italian town of 55,000 people has recently been overwhelmed with hundreds of migrants. More than 50 Africans have been crossing into Ventimiglia every day, hoping that from there they will be able to enter France. The town’s mayor, Enrico Ioculano, has said that this is “an untenable situation”. Mr. Ioculano has admitted that Ventimiglia is struggling to meet the costs of the migrant influx.”

I just have to ask, where is Saudi Arabia in all of this? Apparently someone in the Saudi kingdom, perhaps the royal House of Saud family, had enough money to finance the 9-11 terrorists. So why don’t they have enough money to house and feed their Muslim brethren?AMEN

But here’s the real kicker: why are the parishioners of the church told to be silent and suppress their Christian worship? Why did it seem more accommodating to remove the parishioner and take her to another church? Not only are we watching a blatant invasion but also a complete surrender to those who should be so appreciative and seeking out the Lord God of those granting them food and shelter. What misguided sense of political correctness are we witnessing here?Islamanipulation

Let me make a simple parallel. Do any of you think if Christian migrants ended up in an Islamic country that imams, clerics, and mullahs would demand that the public call to worship over the muezzin be halted, silenced? Heck, just imagine what would happen here in the United States if some people demanded that the muezzins be silenced. There would be complete and total outrage and calls of Islamophobia and bigotry.

Who are these Caritas volunteers who are facilitating the violation of national sovereignty? And are they aware of the threats of Islamic jihadist groups, namely ISIS, to infiltrate the migrant masses?

There is nothing noble about this. It is instead highly disturbing. Surrendering one’s principles and values all for what, some inane sense of multiculturalism?

“Breitbart London has previously reported on churches across Europe where welcoming migrants has taken precedence over Christian worship. In Germany, an evangelical church stripped out pews, the altar, and pulpit as well as all symbols of Christianity when offering it as a new home for migrants — so as to make them feel “more welcome in their new home.”America are you paying attention

This is not about just stripping out pews and symbols of our Christian faith or silencing our prayer. This is about the abject subjugation and admittance of inferiority. When you invite someone into your home, you don’t remove your furniture and items near to your heart. However, as with the visit of the Iranian delegation to Italy and the Vatican, art pieces were covered so as not to offend. Have we become so ashamed of our culture and civilization?

Remember: when tolerance becomes a one-way street, it leads to cultural suicide — and just look for the comments of the slack-jawed surrender monkeys who will accuse me of promoting hate. It reflects a deranged mind that embraces cowardice and would rather exist on its knees, than stand on its feet. When tolerance becomes a one way street

And that, ladies and gents, is why Secretary of State John Kerry could thank the Iranians for taking care of our ten US Sailors who they put on their knees at gun point…sadly, the progressive socialist left prefers that position.

Not. Me.

Police set to enforce sharia law on Twitter

Here it comes. First jihad slaughter, then sharia enforcement by Western elites crippled with fear. And this is not just in the UK, the Netherlands or Scotland (Glasgow police posted the above tweet). Obama’s Department of Justice tried this very thing, but our organization held a protest that attracted thousands to stand against sharia restriction on our First Amendment rights. Free Speech Definition

In June 2013, we reported at Examiner:

Hundreds gathered at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center in Manchester, Tenn., Tuesday night, for an event sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee on free speech and social media. But the gathering turned into a protest of what many believe is a threatened crackdown on free speech on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, Twitchy said.

Earlier, U.S. attorney Bill Killian said the meeting would serve as “an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion” and to “inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”

The meeting was the result of a controversial Facebook post by Coffee County Commissioner Barry West, who posted a picture of a man holding a shotgun with the caption, “How to wink at a Muslim.” West apologized for the photo in early May.

Now, it seems that speech critical of jihad and migrants committing crimes are attracting more attention from authorities than the individuals actually committing the crimes.

Geller wonders: “It is unclear as to whether or not sharing this article would constitute an ‘unnecessary’ post. But it may be worth finding out.”

After Rise in Sexual Assaults, This Group of Young Women Decided to Take Matters Into Their Own Hands

so america

With the rise in sexual offenses in Sweden, there has been a new trend. Women have begun to patrol areas known for mob attacks. These women feel it is their duty to protect younger girls. The uptick in attacks, mostly groping, has forced these women to action.

The Washington Times reports

A group of female 20-somethings in Kalmar, Sweden, have taken it upon themselves to patrol the local swimming pools in efforts to protect women from sexual attacks by migrant men.

“We are tired of men thinking they can come to Sweden and molest women when all we want is to be left in peace to swim without being felt up,” Siri Bernhardsson, an assistant nurse, told the Daily Mail. American women respond

Apparently in the town of Kalmar, migrant men are known to gather and hunt. They hunt young, isolated women. They charge at these women causing them to flee. Then they force them into corners of pools and buildings. This keeps their victims from escaping. In this situation, several men take groping liberties.

These horrible conditions have led a group of women to start the “Groping Guards.” Women who patrol known hunting grounds. Their purpose is to prevent attacks by young migrant gangs.

The Times continued

“Loads of women write to us and say that they have been groped by young men,” Ms. Bernhardsson said. “It happens at concerts, in train stations and in swimming pools. Most of the victims feel ashamed and don’t report it to the police. We know that there have been attacks in our swimming pool that have not been reported.”Same to us

The victims, not feeling that they will see any arrests, have shared their horrid experiences with Groping Guards. But, one of the main problems with confronting this crime is that the victims are not allowed to speak openly about the problem.

The Washington Times reports

“Everyone knows that these attacks started after a lot of immigrants came to Sweden and everyone knows who the perpetrators are, but we can’t really talk about the problem here in Sweden,’” Ms. Sjoberg said. “Integration is the most important issue we have to deal with in Sweden. But no one is talking about it.”cause of death

Just as we are learning in America, speaking the truth about the problem is racist. The difference is that in Sweden it is also a crime.

White House: Migrants’ Privacy Trump Americans’ Right To Know [VIDEO]

White House Correspondent

obama-border-is-open-378x257The White House won’t reveal where it is housing thousands of Central American juvenile migrants because their privacy rights trump Americans’ right to know what‘s happening in their neighborhoods, press secretary Josh Earnest declared July 16.

“The public does have a right to know what’s happening… [but] at the same time, there are privacy rights that are included in the law that this administration is committed to enforcing and following,” Earnest told Ed Henry, Fox News’ White House correspondent.

“We are not surprised in the least to see the Obama administration imitate the smugglers,” William Gheen, founder of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, told The Daily Caller. “This is how smuggling operations work, this is what the smuggler-in-chief wants — secret planes and secret buses full of illegal immigrants.”

obama- Marxist tyrantGOP governors and legislators are also highlighting the administration’s secrecy. “They don’t want the public to know what is really going on,” Nebraska Republican Rep. Lee Terry told Fox News.

Terry has introduced a bill that would require federal disclosure of details about housing. However, Senate Democrats will likely block the bill if it is passed by the House.

For months, the federal government has hidden details about the inflow of migrants, such as the number of people arriving in “family units,” the number of migrants who have been allowed to seek residency via the immigration courts, and their education levels.

no right

Officials have revealed that 57,000 Central American juvenile migrants have crossed the border since last October. Another 30,000 crossed in 2011 and 2012. Officials also expect up to 150,000 additional migrants to arrive in “family units.”

Most of the public blames Obama for the breakdown of border security and oppose his immigration policies.

Many Americans want the immigrants sent home and few want the foreign juveniles living in their community. For example, Pew reported July 16 that 53 percent of respondents in a poll want the juvenile migrants quickly sent home. Only 39 percent of respondents said the current policy should be followed.

Communities in California, Massachusetts, Virginia and Maryland, for example, have already blocked administration plans to house juveniles in their neighborhoods.

Protests in Murrieta, Calif. successfully blocked a convoy of three buses carrying a group of migrant adults and their children.

This weekend, a series of protests are being arranged by several groups, including the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC.

So far, the groups’ volunteers have arranged 300 street protests, said Gheen. “It is going viral, and we’re trying to add more events as rapidly asNational Day of Protest with date possible,” he told TheDC.

When asked how many people will turn out, he responded “we have no idea.”

Most of the border-crossing juveniles are temporarily housed by the Department of Health and Human Services before they are released to parents or relatives living in the United States.

The juveniles — few of whom speak English, and some of whom speak only Indian languages — are entitled to federal medical care, and to attend local schools, regardless of their impact on American kids.

They migrants come from countries with very high crime rates, partly because many youths are members of drug gangs, such as MS-13.

Progressives are bitterly criticizing the immigration protests.

“In places like Murrieta, California and Vassar, Michigan, we have seen ugly reminders of racism and hatred directed toward children,” said a July 15 statement by Richard Trumka, the pro-immigration head of the AFL-CIO union group.

“The spewing of nativist venom, the taking up of arms and the fear-mongering about crime and disease harken back to dark periods in our history and have no business taking place under the banner of our flag,” said Trumka.
