Viewers lost trust in CNN due to its left-wing bias and histrionic Covid reporting, according to a 2022 survey commissioned by the network. Despite collecting bogus awards for “fact-checking,” and “special achievements” for “placing a premium” on investigative reporting, the network failed to maintain the trust of the American people — to the point where its own internal survey exposed its epic shortcomings.

A partial copy of CNN’s survey was cited by Semafor’s Max Tani, who noted that the three highest causes of mistrust were “liberal bias,” the “Chris Cuomo situation,” and the network’s Covid coverage. According to Tani, the report showed respondents “across the ideological spectrum” lambasting CNN’s “dire” and “overly dramatic and sensational” reporting.

In utter detachment from the real world, legacy media toadies rewarded the untrustworthy network. CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who was central to the network’s Covid sensationalism and fake fact-checking, received an award for “excellence in political journalism” and was praised for “accurate information.” Meanwhile, the CNN team that reported from Chinese quarantine received an award named after a reporter murdered in the Greek Civil War.

News of the report comes as network CEO Chris Licht faces significant criticism for his response to CNN’s Covid coverage, which was aired in a feature by The Atlantic. In it, Licht — who reportedly “felt he was on a mission to restore the network’s reputation for serious journalism” — admitted CNN’s coverage began with a desire to help people in a confusing pandemic era but was ultimately driven by “ratings.” He has since apologized for his remarks, but CNN’s own survey results suggest his statements were based on public sentiment and statistics known to the company.

Outside sources confirm trust in CNN is declining. A Statista survey released a few months before Licht’s hiring last year showed only 20 percent of Americans placed “a lot” of trust in CNN — and it hasn’t improved under the new CEO. In April, YouGov found that only 13 percent of U.S. adults consider CNN “very trustworthy.”

High School ‘History Book’ Says, Trump Is Crazy And His Supporters are Racists

Published by ClashDaily.com on April 16, 2018

Isn’t it great that they’re teaching ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity’ at school? It’s just not so much tolerance for different perspectives or diversity of ideology.

Thomas Sowell, a great thinker wrote A Conflict of Visions in 1987. It is arguably the greatest work on the ideological gulf between the left and the right of the political spectrum that is accessible to the common man.

Watch the two fundamental visions explained here at the 1:25 mark:

That book is seriously life-changing.

Public schools only show one vision of human nature.

The latest target is President Trump.

A new AP History textbook, “By The People,” by James W. Fraser, is used in high schools for Advanced Placement courses for grades 9-12, according to the publisher’s website.

The Blaze reports that the book is biased against President Trump and his supporters. It suggests that the President might be mentally unstable and that his supporters are racist.

From the textbook (Emphasis added):

Trump’s supporters saw the vote as a victory for the people who, like themselves, had been forgotten in a fast-changing America–a mostly older, often rural or suburban, and overwhelmingly white group. Clinton’s supporters feared that the election had been determined by people who were afraid of a rapidly developing ethnic diversity of the country, discomfort with their candidate’s gender, and nostalgia for an earlier time in the nation’s history. They also worried about the mental instability of the president-elect and the anger that he and his supporters brought to the nation.

It went further:

Whatever people’s opinions, on January 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as the forty-fifth president of the United States. The inner circle of his advisors seemed to represent a mix of some deeply ideological conservatives, traditional politicians, and his family. His cabinet nominees were mostly highly successful business leaders who had made their fortunes and were now joining the team of another unusually successful businessman. They were largely white males, more so than any presidential cabinet since Ronald Reagan.

The textbook also speaks of Barack Obama’s administration:

Those who had long thought of the nation as a white and Christian country sometimes found it difficult to adjust.

Further, it promotes an “all-white-people-are-racists” narrative in a section about the activist group Black Lives Matter. The group entered the national stage through demonstrations it held after Michael Brown was killed by Ferguson, Missouri police in 2014.

“The nearly all-white police force was seen as an occupying army in the mostly African American town,” the book states, adding, “…police increased the tensions, defacing memorials set up for Brown and using rubber bullets on demonstrators.”

Wow. This is unreal. Can you imagine the outrage if anyone included in an AP History textbook one negative word about Barry? Like maybe how he weaponized powerful government agencies to punish his political enemies?

That would just never fly, would it? So much for teaching students history. They’re not even giving fair coverage of recent history — like a year ago history.

No wonder Millennials are so woefully ignorant of issues — two thirds of American millennials don’t know that 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust. That, Dear Readers, is both irresponsible and sad.

We need to fix our education system.

Leftists Lose Their Minds Over ‘Professor Watch List’ Created To Expose Liberal Indoctrination On Campus

waving flagAuthored by Annabel Scott / Contributor / 11/30/2016

Turning Point USA, a conservative organization made up of high turning-point-usa-logoschool and college students, has compiled a website database of more than 200 professors at universities across the nation that “discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom.”

The website, professorwatchlist.org, doesn’t list just any professor — TPUSA requires proof.

“This watchlist is an aggregated list of pre-existing news stories that were published by a variety of news organizations,” the website states. “While we accept tips for new additions on our website, we only publish profiles on incidents that have already been reported by a credible source.”

The website also says that TPUSA is not attempting to silence the professors on the list, but instead they are exposing “specific incidents and names of professors that advance a radical agenda in lecture halls.”Happy Happy Joy Joy

Since its recent debut, the list has seen no shortage of harsh criticism.

Slate author Rebecca Schuman deemed the watchlist “grotesque,” and called it “a stock agency for photos of self-satisfied young white people.”

“Intentionally or not, the Professor Watchlist, simply by being a self-styled watch list, has aligned itself with the ugly, frightening new political status quo,” writes Schuman. “This is, indeed, a turning point in our country, a time of fear unprecedented on this continent since the Second World War. Fear of being placed on a list, targeted as undesirable, and subjected to whatever happens next.”

Schuman also compared TPUSA members and the organization as a whole to an angry violent mob, stating, “this list watches over us at our country’s darkest turning point, poised to inflame the tinder-dry, gasoline-soaked pitchforks of a mob that has just stepped boldly into the light.”Words

New York Times author Christopher Mele also attacked the list in an article titled Professor Watchlist Is Seen as A Threat To Academic Freedom.”Did you just hear what your mouth said

Mele quotes Julio C. Pino, an associate professor history at Kent State included on the list that believes it “is a kind of normalizing of prosecuting professors, shaming professors, defaming professors.”

“The website has thin information in its entries and a less-than-smooth search function,” Professor Pino continues. “That could be a reflection of how rapidly it was created to capitalize on the political climate, particularly after the election of Donald J. Trump as president.”Leftist Propagandist

Robert Jensen, a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, also expressed his feelings on being included on the list for teaching students that “we won’t end men’s violence against women if we do not address the toxic notions about masculinity in patriarchy … rooted in control, conquest, aggression.”

“It would be easier to dismiss this rather silly project if the United States had not just elected a president who shouts over attempts at rational discourse and reactionary majorities in both houses of Congress,” writes Jensen. “I’m a tenured full professor (and white, male, and a U.S. citizen by birth) and am not worried. But, even though the group behind the watchlist has no formal power over me or my university, the attempt at bullying professors — no matter how weakly supported — may well inhibit professors without my security and privilege.”What did you say 04.jpg

Alex Shephard of The New Republic wrote that “It’s hard not to feel as though Professor Watchlist is a one-stop shop for those with less innocent intentions, potentially threatening the ideas of free speech it seeks to protect.”more-words

Despite the criticism the list has received, TPUSA founder and CEO, Charlie Kirk, fiercely defended the list on Fox News Channel’s “O’Reilly Factor” Tuesday night.

“If the professors are so scared of what’s going on in their lecture halls being made public then that is their problem, not ours,” says Kirk. “We’re not trying to prevent teachers from saying anything. All we want here is to shine a light on what’s going on in our universities and the response has been incredible.”

Sally Kohn’s Small Business Refuses to Serve Everyone

by John Nolte, 1 Apr 2015

URL of the Original Posting Site: http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/04/01/sally-kohns-small-business-refuses-to-serve-everyone/

  • CNN’s Sally Kohn runs a small private for-profit business.
  • Indiana Bob runs a small private for-profit business.
  • Sally offers a product to the public as a speaker. Her product is inspirational speeches that conform to her worldview.
  • Bob offers a product to the public as a baker. His product is specialized wedding cakes that celebrate the holy union of marriage.
  • Sally is a very nice, very smart, very likable gay progressive.
  • Bob is a very nice, very smart, very likable practicing Muslim.
  • Sally will tell you she was born a lesbian.
  • Bob will tell you he was born a Muslim.
  • Sally’s speech is protected from the government by the First Amendment.
  • Bob’s religious faith is protected from the government by the very same First Amendment.
  • Because her speech is protected by the First Amendment, Sally cannot be forced by the government to alter her product — her speech — into something that violates her beliefs and conscience.
  • Although Bob’s religious practices and beliefs are protected by the same First Amendment, Sally is demanding the government force Bob into altering his product — a wedding cake — into something that violates Bob’s beliefs and conscience: a same-sex wedding cake.
  • Sally believes it is unconstitutional for the  government to force her to alter her business product (inspirational speeches) in a way that violates her beliefs and her First Amendment rights.
  • Nevertheless, Sally also believes that freedom and equality demand the government force Bob to craft and deliver his business product (wedding cakes) in a way that violates his beliefs and First Amendment rights.
  • Because her speech is protected by the First Amendment, even though she offers her services to the public, the government cannot force Sally to serve everyone. For example, on her website, Sally offers to deliver “an inspiring tingle-in-your-toes speech,” but she could not be forced by the government and would not agree to offer that service to inspire or tingle anyone’s toes at a meeting of anti-abortion activists.
  • Nevertheless, Sally believes the product she serves the public (inspirational speeches) is more equal than the business product Bob serves the public (wedding cakes).
  • Thanks to her First Amendment protections, Sally does not believe she can be forced by the government to serve all of the public with her inspirational speeches.
  • Nevertheless, Sally believes Bob should be forced by the government to serve all of the public.
  • Sally believes her First Amendment speech rights are protected even when that right is turned into a for-profit business product.
  • Sally does not believe Bob’s First Amendment religious rights are protected when that right is turned into a for-profit business product.
  • Although she offers her product to the public, Bob would never dream of asking Sally to violate her First Amendment rights, her beliefs or her conscience.
  • Nevertheless, Sally would see the government punish Bob and the public shame Bob if he refused to violate his own First Amendment rights, his beliefs and his conscience.
  • Bob would never dream of trampling Sally’s First Amendment rights.
  • Sally wants the government to trample Bob’s First Amendment rights.

Breitbart News reached out to Sally Kohn for comment. Always a great sport, she told us…

“Any business can already discriminate in any way it sees fit — as long as it’s not discriminating on the basis of a protected identity. Period.  So, for instance, a restaurant can say “no shirt, no shoes, no service” or even “no people wearing blue shirts” as long as the reasoning or motivation isn’t a protected identity. So you can’t deny service based or race or religion. That’s the law.”

Kohn adds that she “wants gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans to have that protected legal status — which they do under the laws in some states, but not most, and not at the federal level.”

She added, “I can’t refuse to give a speech to a group based on religion for instance. That would be illegal (and immoral). But I can refuse to give a speech based on a group’s viewpoints on an issue. Because for instance, whether you’re against *or* for abortion is NOT a legally protected class of identity.”

“Even still, incidentally, under my understanding of the law, if the Westboro Baptist Church wanted to come to my bakery and buy the same cake I sell everyone else, I’d have to sell them one. BUT I wouldn’t have to write “God Hates Fags” on it, just like I wouldn’t have to write a curse word on it if I didn’t want to. Because that’s not form of discrimination we legally/constitutionally protect against.”To-Bake-Or-Not-To-BakePicture3

“Free speech by the way doesn’t legally apply here because the government isn’t compelling any speech.”

“In sum, if you run a bakery and don’t want to follow the laws of our country and serve all people equally, get out of the bakery business. Certainly no one is forcing you to run a bakery.”more evidence

When I asked if like her right to not write “God Hates Fags” on the cake if a Christian baker was protected from the act of adding a same sex couple figurine and the name of the same-sex couple to the cake, she said she didn’t want to go into that.

“I don’t want to quote law,” Sally said, “but I’d be happy to refer you to a Constitutional lawyer who could explain this better than I could.”Truth The New Hate Speech

Breitbart News politely declined the offer.

Laws can be unjust. This is an ethical argument about who keeps and loses their First Amendment rights once that right becomes a for-profit business product. This is about an American social compact that is supposed to go beyond the law when it comes to respecting one another’s sincerely held beliefs. It is also about equal protection under the law — in this case the very first Amendment.
