BREAKING: Democrats Cave as Shutdown Nears End — GOP Patience Pays Off

By Jimmy Parker | November 10, 2025

Read more at https://pagetraveler.com/breaking-democrats-cave-as-shutdown-nears-end-gop-patience-pays-off/

If you’re getting déjà vu, you’re not alone. Just a few days ago, I wrote “Should Republicans Kill the Filibuster to End the Shutdown?”, arguing that Republicans should resist the temptation to “nuke” the filibuster and instead hold the line. I said that patience, principle, and persistence would win out over procedural shortcuts. And this weekend, it did. Senate Democrats blinked. The longest shutdown in American history is finally nearing its end, and the GOP walks away with both the moral high ground and the practical victory.

On Sunday night, the Senate floor turned into political theater at its finest. Chuck Schumer delivered what can only be described as a full-blown meltdown—raising his voice, waving his arms, and accusing President Trump of everything from cutting food aid to building “gold-plated toilets.” He claimed the GOP was taking “the American people hostage,” but the real hostage situation was inside his own caucus. Minutes later, eight Democrats—including John Fetterman and Tim Kaine—defied him and voted with Republicans to break the filibuster and advance a funding bill. The very filibuster Schumer tried to weaponize became the instrument of his party’s surrender.

Fox News reported live that the vote hit the critical 60-vote threshold, signaling that the shutdown was effectively over. Even mainstream outlets admitted Democrats had “split wide open.” Progressives like Bernie Sanders called it “a policy disaster.” House leader Hakeem Jeffries vowed to “fight on,” while Schumer promised to “continue the struggle”—but no amount of defiant floor speeches can hide what just happened. The Democratic filibuster collapsed. The government will reopen. And the Republicans didn’t have to give up a single rule to make it happen.

This wasn’t just a win—it was a validation of strategy. Republicans held their ground for forty-one days, endured the media outrage, and refused to cave to panic. They didn’t dismantle Senate tradition; they used it. They let Democrats tire themselves out behind closed doors while the country watched and waited. In the end, the side that stayed calm won.

The result also exposed the widening crack inside the Democratic Party. The so-called “party of unity” spent the night attacking itself on social media. Bernie Sanders accused moderates of betraying the cause. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez scolded her colleagues for “folding to Trump.” Gavin Newsom called the deal “pathetic.” Meanwhile, Trump was focused on reopening the government, paying workers, and restoring stability. It’s a tale of two parties—one governing, one grumbling.

To put it simply, Democrats thought Trump would blink first. They assumed he’d cave under media pressure or public fatigue. Instead, he stayed firm, backed by a Republican Senate that kept its discipline. The final irony? The same Democrats who spent weeks blocking a clean continuing resolution are now celebrating a nearly identical one—minus the Obamacare subsidies they once called “non-negotiable.”

This moment also proves the wisdom of restraint. If Republicans had scrapped the filibuster in frustration, Democrats would already be plotting to use that power for themselves—pushing statehood for D.C. and Puerto Rico, packing the Supreme Court, and rewriting election laws to secure permanent control. By staying patient, the GOP preserved both the republic’s guardrails and its own credibility.

Schumer’s speech may have been emotional, but it was also revealing. His rhetoric was apocalyptic because he knew the fight was lost. Theatrics can’t hide the numbers: the votes weren’t there, the pressure was building, and even his allies wanted out. When the history of this shutdown is written, it won’t be remembered for Schumer’s speeches—it’ll be remembered for the night Democrats surrendered to reality.

The takeaway is simple. Republicans kept their heads when everyone else was losing theirs. They protected Senate rules, reopened the government, and proved that patience is still a form of power. Democrats gambled on chaos; Republicans bet on calm. And once again, calm won.

Pro-Fateh group wins majority on Minneapolis City Council as Frey secures third term

By Luke Sprinkel – AlphaNews.org – Nov 6. 2025

Four of the newly-elected city council candidates were endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America.
A slate of far-left candidates backed by a group supporting State Sen. Omar Fateh have won a majority on the Minneapolis City Council. This, coupled with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s reelection win, could set city hall up for a contentious few years.
Minneapolis for the Many (MFTM), a political action committee, has spent the last several months boosting far-left city candidates running for office in Minneapolis this year.
The group endorsed Fateh as their first choice for Minneapolis mayor, supported several city council candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and pushed other left-wing candidates.

Governor Bill Lee Invites New York Businesses to Escape Socialist Chaos: “Tennessee is Open for Business”

By Jim Hoft – The Gateway Pundit – Nov 6, 2026

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is making a bold pitch to New York business owners disillusioned by the city’s sharp left turn under its newly elected socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani.
In a post on X, Lee wrote:
“If you’re a New York business owner who doesn’t like the direction your city is headed, we have a message for you: Tennessee is open for business. Strong economy. Low taxes. Government won’t get in your way. TN is the place for people who value opportunity, security & freedom.”
Accompanying the post was a video where Lee personally invited frustrated New Yorkers to move their businesses, and families, to the Volunteer State.
Lee touted Tennessee’s thriving economy, pro-business tax environment, and strong workforce.
He emphasized that the state’s Department of Economic and Community Development stands ready to assist companies looking to relocate… READ MORE

SHOCKING: Gerrymandering By the Numbers

By: Kevin Jackson | November 5, 2025

Democrats, ever the lying scumbags I know most of them to be lie about gerrymandering. Without question, Democrats gerrymander more and far worse than Republican-controlled states.

Even RINO former California Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar called out Gavin Newsom.

The Analysis

While they rail about how “gerrymandering” is a terrible breach of democracy, the data screams they’ve been pulling the string.

I reviewed the states where Donald Trump’s 2024 popular vote margin diverged meaningfully from the congressional delegation breakdown. I excluded 21 states

  • If the vote margin closely aligned with congressional seats
  • or the state only has 1–3 representatives because a single seat swing in those states creates massive percentage swings

I kept states where the vote margin was meaningfully greater or lesser than the proportional House-seat count. What remained was 29 states where divergence was significant enough to suggest more than mere coincidence.

In those 29 states: Republicans hold an advantage in 17 states, Democrats in 12. If you convert that to actual House-member counts, Democrats have a 36-seat advantage vs. Republicans’ 26-seat advantage. If everything were fair and aligned with Trump’s vote numbers, Republicans would be owed an additional 10 seats. That’s not a minor wiggle—it’s a flashing red light on the scoreboard.

Now, please note: I’m using the official vote counts, which the left conveniently labels “sacred.” But as we all know, that’s the floor—not the ceiling. Millions of illegal votes? We’ll leave that aside for now, because even based on the recorded numbers, Democrats still hold the structural advantage. So when the Democrats yell “gerrymandering!” like they just discovered instant replay, they’re conveniently forgetting the score.

The Myth of Republican ‘Advantage’—Laughed out loud by institutional research

The narrative they want you to swallow: “Republicans are the map-riggers, the bad guys, they draw lines to steal seats.” But real research begs to differ. For instance:

  • The Brennan Center for Justice’s analysis found that, overall in this redistricting cycle, the maps favor Republicans, estimating a GOP advantage of about 16 House seats from map-drawing alone. (Yes, irony alert.) Brennan Center for Justice
  • The Brookings Institution published a piece titled “The gerrymander myth” explaining that it isn’t clear Republicans hold the advantage lately, contrary to the handwringing from the left.

So—let’s pause the hypocrisy: when the left screams “map fraud!”, their own data suggest the system leans against them right now.

Why the left’s whining about disproportionate outcomes is especially funny

They lecture about fairness, equity, “one person, one vote,” while sitting on structural advantages they fought tooth-and-nail to build. Then they limp into courtrooms, framing themselves as victims. Meanwhile, you’re looking at the state-by-state data showing them with a net seat gain just by how the lines were drawn.

Democrats have historically derived structural benefits from map-drawing, incumbency advantages and “safe seats.”

Next, if Republicans are earning 10 more seats by the math alone under these conditions, then in a truly fair map scenario—and ignoring illegal voting concerns—the GOP would be in significantly stronger shape. The Left’s current war-cry (“stop the gerrymanders”) is disingenuous when their own advantage is baked into the system. They didn’t get there by honesty; they got there by shape-shifting the field. In truth, the map-drawing process matters to the final outcome far more than many voters realize.

Pushback: “It’s just geography!”

Right on cue, you’ll hear: “Well, duh, Democrats cluster in cities. That’s why they waste votes.” The Left has loved that one for decades. But:

  • Geographic clustering helps both parties in different states.
  • It also doesn’t absolve party operatives from manipulating map lines.
  • The complexity is real—and when you review studies like those of the ALARM Project at Harvard, you see that while geography plays a role, the partisan-map effect is not negligibleHarvard News
So yes: geography is part of the story. But it’s only part of the story—and the Left doesn’t get to pick and choose.

Accuse Republicans of what Democrats are Doing

Just when the Democrats thought their narrative was planted deep—it stirs in the wind. For example, Hakeem Jeffries and other left-leaders promote the idea that Republican gerrymandering is the root of the problem. Know why? Because it’s easier to turn the tables than to admit you built the table. They want to deflect.

But the numbers don’t support their claim. The math from actual map-analysis from non-partisan sources shows GOP map-draws dominate in many states right now. The left’s outrage is script-flipped. They don’t get to cast themselves as victims and architects simultaneously and expect to get away with it.

A quick caveat: my analysis is limited—and fair

Let me pause for full transparency:

My numbers exclude the “illegal voting” factor. If millions of illegals cast ballots for Kamala Harris, the real Republican advantage would be larger than the 11 extra seats I estimated.

Map-analysis is messy. Some research finds the net national seat-bias from gerrymandering to be modest. For example, the ALARM Project estimated the pro-Republican bias declined from about 16 seats to 10 seats in the 2020 cycle.

In spite of those limitations—the conservative view holds stronger: the Left built a war-machine, and Republicans are now exposing it. The numbers don’t lie.

Democrats picked this war

And here’s the knockout line: Democrats picked this war. They spent decades stacking districts, building safe-seat pipelines, and erasing competitive races. They let the rigged boards sit until the bill came due. Now that Republicans are analyzing, exposing and pushing back, the Left is squealing about “unfair map terror.” Too late, folks. The game board is flipped.

As we stand on the brink of the next redistricting cycle, let’s remember: the Left has an advantage they refuse to publicly acknowledge, despite the sequencing of math, data and reality. So when they rant about Republicans having a map advantage—check the scoreboard. Because the real cheat sheets belong to them.

Obama Catching Hell

By: Kevin Jackson | November 1, 2025

 Read more at https://theblacksphere.net/2025/11/obama-catching-hell/

If irony were a currency, Barack Obama could’ve built his presidential library for free.

Instead, taxpayers and donors are footing an $850 million bill for what locals now call “The Death Star” — a monolithic gray tower planted right in the middle of Chicago’s Jackson Park. Because nothing says “hope and change” like paving over public land and blocking sunlight from the basketball courts.

The Daily Mail reported that Obama’s soon-to-open “presidential center” will include a museum, an NBA-size basketball court (because of course it will), and a “forum” for discussion — presumably on topics like how to lecture America about climate change from your 60-acre Martha’s Vineyard mansion. The Obamas want this thing to be “a living, breathing, dynamic cultural and gathering space.”

Translation: a $850 million monument to themselves that locals are already calling a soulless eyesore.

And calling it “living and breathing” is a bit rich considering Obama’s first act of creation here was destruction — bulldozing public parkland to make way for his architectural ego trip. Chicago residents lost green space, wildlife, and history, so Obama could build a concrete sermon to himself. The man could’ve just bought another Netflix deal if he wanted attention.

This is the same Barack Obama who said he didn’t want a “mausoleum.” Oh, but he built one anyway — just with better lighting and a gift shop.

One critic said, “They say it’s a new home for hope. Yet it’s built over a park that locals used to call home.”

That’s poetic justice, isn’t it? Hope now comes with an eviction notice.

The Death Star Comparison

The “Death Star” nickname didn’t come from right-wing bloggers; it came from people who live in Chicago. You know, the ones who have to look at it. And they’re right. The building’s imposing gray design resembles a dystopian watchtower — like a Bond villain’s lair where you’re forced to hear Michelle Obama read her memoirs aloud.

It’s fitting, really. The Death Star metaphor works on multiple levels. Just as the Empire in Star Wars pretended to bring “order to the galaxy,” Obama’s administration promised “unity” while leaving behind division, debt, and a weaponized bureaucracy. The man didn’t drain the swamp — he built luxury condos in it.

And now, instead of healing the wounds of his own political legacy, he’s literally paving over more history to install a vanity project that screams, “I’m still relevant!”

Let’s face it — this isn’t a library; it’s a temple. The only thing it’ll be storing is the mythology of the Obama era, which, like the building itself, is mostly concrete and hollow inside.

Hope, Change, and Hypocrisy

Obama told The New York Times that he wants the center to “inspire people to make a difference in their communities.” Right — like his policies inspired Chicago to become the carjacking capital of the Midwest.

Obama talking about “community” is like Hunter Biden lecturing about ethics. Under his watch, Chicago got poorer, more violent, and more racially divided. And his so-called “community organizing” legacy? Its self-promotion disguised as altruism.

Remember “Hope and Change”? Obama has dropped “Change” because, well, none of it was good. What we got instead was a cocktail of racial resentment, weakened borders, and global apologies. If this library is supposed to symbolize his presidency, then the architects nailed it — it’s tall, gray, expensive, and utterly useless to the average American.

What Chicago Really Thinks

Locals aren’t exactly thrilled. As one social media user pointed out, the project destroyed public parkland that the community actually used. Others have called the design “a giant tombstone” — which is poetic since Obama’s policies buried America’s manufacturing, morale, and the middle class.

Even the National Park Service raised concerns that the project compromised the historic character of Jackson Park, a public treasure designed by Frederick Law Olmsted — the same visionary who gave us Central Park. But Obama doesn’t build in harmony with history; he builds over it.

And speaking of history — remember when Chicagoans were told this project would “create jobs”? Sure. For how long? Until the ribbon-cutting. Then it’s back to unemployment and potholes the size of Biden’s attention span.

An $850 Million Shrine to Ego

Let’s not pretend this is about history or preservation. The Obama Presidential Center is about one thing: Obama’s desperate need to stay culturally relevant in a world that’s moved on. It’s a classic Leftist pattern: they destroy the past, then build a statue to themselves in the rubble.

When Trump builds, he builds business. Hotels. Golf courses. Jobs. When Obama builds, he builds monuments. To himself.

Obama’s Death Star is funded by donors who, ironically, are trying to buy absolution for supporting his failed policies. They’re the same people who still think “transformational leadership” means trying to imprison Clinton’s and Biden’s Republican rival and giving speeches about pronouns.

The Legacy No One Asked For

Let’s be real — this “presidential library” isn’t going to feature anything that tells the truth about his administration. You won’t find the Fast and Furious scandal, the IRS targeting conservatives, the Benghazi debacle, or the Iran deal’s secret cash shipments. If they included everything Obama actually did, they’d need another 19 acres just for the apology section. Let’s see how this new referral from DNI Tulsi Gabbard impacts this “legacy”.

Until then, expect interactive exhibits about climate change, identity politics, and the “power of hope.” Maybe a workshop on how to give a speech without ever saying anything concrete. The Obama Library will be less of a library and more of a museum of delusion.

A Death Star Without the Force

In the end, the Obama Death Star is symbolic of everything wrong with progressive politics: grand designs, massive over-budgets, empty results. It’s not a monument to history; it’s a mausoleum for credibility.

Obama wanted to “activate” people, but all he’s really activated is local outrage — and probably the Chicago gang population when the first mugging happens in the courtyard.

He calls it “a new home for hope.” I call it a $850 million participation trophy for a man who convinced half of America that speeches could substitute for substance.

The Obama Death Star will stand as the perfect metaphor for his presidency — impressive from afar, hollow up close, and ultimately self-destructive. Because when it comes to hope and change, Obama always forgot one thing: you can’t build inspiration on other people’s property.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Attacks Republicans While Echoing Democrat Talking Points

It’s never a great sign when the loudest cheers for a Republican come from a Bill Maher audience. But that’s exactly what happened when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia showed up on Maher’s HBO show and joined the Left’s favorite narrative about the Affordable Care Act. While Democrats used the stage to push the same “Republicans hate healthcare” storyline they’ve been milking for over a decade, Greene gave them free advertising.

At a time when the government shutdown is stretching into record territory, Greene decided to point her frustration not at the Democrats blocking a clean funding bill—but at her own party’s leadership. Yes, Marjorie Taylor Greene attacks Republicans again, this time saying she’s still “waiting for the plan” from Speaker Mike Johnson and GOP leadership. The problem isn’t that she wants answers on healthcare. The problem is that she’s doing it on liberal media outlets that live off Republican infighting.

When the Applause Comes from the Other Side

There’s a reason Democrats are thrilled to book Greene on their shows. Every time she vents on a left-wing platform, the media gets to write another headline about “Republican chaos.” Instead of focusing attention on Democrat obstruction in the Senate, we’re now talking about internal squabbles on the Right. That’s not strategy—it’s surrender by sound bite.

Greene insists she’s simply being honest about her frustrations. Fair enough. But honesty without discretion is what gives the Left its best campaign commercials. There’s a time to challenge leadership and a time to circle the wagons. When you’re on Bill Maher or The View, that’s the time to bring the heat to big government—not to your own bench.

The Obamacare Trap

Greene isn’t wrong that the Affordable Care Act has punished small businesses and middle-class families. Premiums have skyrocketed. Coverage has narrowed. Americans have been paying mortgage-sized health bills for years while the White House calls it “affordable.” She’s right to call that a crisis.

But where she lost the plot was in framing her attack as if Republicans never lifted a finger. The GOP didn’t sit idle on Obamacare—they killed the individual mandate, rolled back punitive regulations, and spent years pushing alternatives that Democrats filibustered to death. Could Republicans have done more? Sure. But it’s disingenuous to pretend nothing has been done while chatting on shows that cheered the ACA into existence.

The Media’s Favorite Division Storyline

Let’s not forget: Democrats and their media allies thrive on Republican division. They’ll turn any intra-party disagreement into a soap opera. And Greene’s recent media tour—complete with appearances on Maher, Tim Dillon’s podcast, and now The View—is the kind of gift the Left dreams about. Every clip of Greene complaining about Republicans becomes proof that the “GOP is broken,” conveniently distracting from the Biden administration’s economic and healthcare disasters.

Instead of hammering the Left on inflation, border chaos, or rising premiums, we’re debating whether Marjorie Taylor Greene feels respected by her party. That’s exactly how Democrats keep the focus off their failures.

Accountability Without Ammunition for the Other Side

It’s one thing to call for better leadership or clearer policy goals. It’s another to hand political ammunition to the very people who want to dismantle conservative ideals. Public infighting doesn’t make the party look independent—it makes it look unserious. Conservatives can and should hold leaders accountable, but that conversation belongs in the strategy room, not on the Maher monologue.

At the end of the day, voters want results, not reality TV. They want Republicans to govern like adults, push real reforms, and hold Democrats to the same standards they apply to everyone else. The frustration Greene feels is real and shared by millions of Americans. But the solution isn’t to sound more like the opposition. It’s to lead like a conservative.

The Bigger Picture: Winning Hearts, Not Headlines

Greene says she’s just being herself, and maybe that’s true. But if the goal is to actually shape policy and win elections, blasting your own side on left-wing talk shows isn’t the way. It may win applause from Maher’s audience, but it doesn’t win over the people paying higher premiums and watching the government grind to a halt.

The American people aren’t asking for viral sound bites—they’re asking for leadership. They want a Republican Party that’s united enough to challenge the Left and smart enough to stay on message. The longer the GOP spends arguing on camera, the more the Democrats smile behind theirs.

DISGUSTING: Democrat Sen. Chris Coons ADMITS Denying Americans Their SNAP Benefits Is “Unpleasant” But “Worth It” Because It Gives Democrats Political “Leverage”

By Jim Hoft – The Gateway Pundit – Oct 28, 2025

Democrat Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) has finally let the cat out of the bag, admitting on national television that his party is willing to starve hardworking American families and deny them critical SNAP benefits, all in the name of grabbing “leverage” in their endless war against President Trump’s pro-America agenda.
During Friday’s broadcast of C-SPAN’s “Ceasefire,” Coons didn’t even try to hide his party’s ruthless tactics amid the ongoing Schumer shutdown.
With Republicans firmly in control of the House, Senate, and White House after the American people’s resounding mandate in 2024, Coons whined that this shutdown “is our only moment of leverage.”
