Aid for Women is a pro-life pregnancy center located near Chicago that helps women who are facing unplanned pregnancies. However, what makes this pregnancy center unique is not only do they offer counseling and support, they also offer housing for women who would otherwise be homeless if they choose life.
They provide a place called “Heather’s House” where women go live together for up to two years. At Heather’s House they learn about motherhood and how to handle the challenges of being a new parent. According to the center’s website, they staff Residential Assistants who act as house parents to new mothers as they complete their education, learn parenting and life skills, and grow to become independent women
Recently, Aid for Women shared the story of Janessa who became pregnant at 19 and desperately needed assistance.
Watch the video below to hear Janessa’s story of hope and love.
