I have waited several hours after watching President Obama on the View this morning to see if anyone else picked up on President Obama’s choice of words in a direct answer to one of Barbara Walters questions. Evidently I am to only one who thinks his answer and choice of words was important.

Many have defined President Obama as a Socialist. Naturally the Political Left won’t stand for that and they fire back various responses in an attempt to disqualify who ever made the observation. Typical of the Left is their dehumanizing vocabulary hat is designed to demean, belittle and marginalize anyone who disagrees with them.

This morning Barbara Walters asked President Obama what he would like to accomplish in the next five years assuming he wins reelection. His answer, and choice of words (highlighted) are worth discussing. He said, “Whether I win or not, what I want to accomplish in the next five years to RECREATE America where everyone has the same opportunity to work hard and enjoy success.” In other interviews he said the same thing using terms like, “same opportunity to succeed”, or if you work hard you can succeed.”

If any conservative used the word, “RECREATE”, that person would be castigated for being highly arrogant with a huge ego and a false sense of reality. The Ladies on the View swooned over the President and no one asked him to explain his statement. However, any study of Socialist and Socialism will inform you that their philosophy is just that; recreate the nation into what they want it to be and ignore the founding father’s intentions. This statement is a revelation of what President Obama is thinking and is determined to do.

Notice he said he is determined to do this even if he is not reelected. What kind of power structure would he have to have in order to accomplish that task? Has our country become so transformed from its original design that an individual could have around him an organization so large and powerful, that it could do what it wanted without much of a fight from the populace? That is a scary question.

Someone once said that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Is that where we are at in America today?

America has always been a place where people can work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor. The Left has this idea that every worker should have the same outcome financially. Once again, that is Socialism.

Testimonies abound of people accomplishing great and wonderful things during times of hardship. Those opportunities have always been there provided government does not stand in the way of allowing people to use their imaginations and ingenuity to create ways to earn income and prosper. Where the Left goes wrong is their perspective that all efforts should have the same results. Life itself tells you that is not reasonable.

Over fifty years ago, someone wrote that the graveyards were full of people who worked hard all their lives, yet died broke. Hard work in and of itself is no guarantee of financial independence. When I was in the corporate world I would constantly remind salespeople that hard work was not the answer; smart work is what generally produces success. A sales person that runs all over the area with no plan is one that gets very little done. Their tired, yet accomplished little or nothing. That same sales person who develops a smart plan that takes the most advantage of time and space is the one who consistently produces wealth.

I have read several studies of economist who teach at the college level. The claim is this: Take all the wealth of the United States and evenly distribute that to every person 18 years of age and older. It is estimated that within 10 years this would be the results;

  • The people, who had earned the wealth, including those who built the businesses that employed the people, will have earned it again, and rebuilt the businesses.
  • The people who were the employees would be broke, and seeking employment.
  • Those that were on welfare would also be broke and back on welfare and still claiming that those that had the money were bad people who wanted them poor and oppressed.
  • Equal opportunity is no guarantee of equal outcomes.
  • Those that learn how to build wealth, develop the disciplines necessary to build a business, will work hard, and smart are the ones that will ultimately find success.

Failure happened to all of us. Testimonies abound of people failing multiple times before they finally developed the success that set out to achieve. They refused to give up, and they ultimately succeeded. Yes, some were helped along the way. YES, others who got the same help did not succeed and ended up bankrupt. That is just the way it works. No one is guaranteed success at anything, except poverty.

Life guarantees success to no one. Those that discipline themselves to learn, work and maintain patience as they work hard are the ones who enjoy the wealth THEY WORKED HARD TO EARN. The Occupiers have said in interviews that they want the success without having to earn it. John Stossel of FOX was talking with a young man (Occupier) who claimed to be a college graduate, who looked for work and could not find any. John Stossel promised to find him a job, if he would accept it. The young man said no, unless it paid $85,000 or more a year. Enough said?

If you have been silent so far, get of your collected buts and get busy helping others to see past the camouflage of the political Left.
